"The San Francisco nonprofit returns with a crowd-pleasing theme called Wings of the World, a curated showcase of the small businesses they work with that highlights global wing preparations for festivalgoers." - Dianne de Guzman
"In celebration of Juneteenth, La Cocina is putting together a special food box with items from Black-owned businesses that have gone through their incubator program, like baobab bars from Teranga, smoked BBQ mole sauce from MexiQ, Boug Cali’s gumbo, and more. Check out the pre-order link and pricing options here - a portion of sales from each box will go to Black-owned La Cocina businesses." - julia chen 1
"When you’re working in the Financial District and noon rolls around, it’s easy to resign yourself to the Mendocino Farms line for the fifth time this week. Go to Mixiote instead. The counter-service Mexican spot does straightforward bowls that won’t send you into need-a-nap territory during your 2pm all-hands. Just pick your base (the turmeric rice is nice and fluffy) and a protein, like the guajillo pepper sauce-coated chicken (there’s also roasted poblano with melted cheese for vegetarians). And be sure to nod yes when they offer the free bag of chips and salsa on the side. There are a few tables, but we prefer taking our bowls on a quick walk to Salesforce Park." - Julia Chen
"La Cocina, the incubator kitchen for WOC-owned food businesses, is selling special food boxes for Lunar New Year. It’s filled with products from local Asian-owned businesses, like coconut pandan cookies from The Baking Endeavor, turkey momos from Bini’s Kitchen, and Vietnamese braised pork with egg from Noodle Girl Restaurant. Order here by Friday, Feb. 5th for pick up or delivery on the 10th. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation
