My husband and I were on a date night and were craving Italian food. We looked at our options locally and neither of us were familiar with La Contea Italiano Ristorante but the menu looked great, we were hungry and there were wait time at that moment. La Contea Italiano Ristorante far exceeded our expectations! The food and cocktails were amazing, lovely atmosphere, and service was impeccable! There was a guy singing live Rat Pack tunes who was great and added to the atmosphere. We can't say enough good things about our experience! This will likely be our future anniversary or special occasions place!

Google
Very nice experience in this family owned/operated Italian restaurant. Chef Alfred Kulici opened La Contea in 2017 and created a very welcoming atmosphere in this nice upscale restaurant. The cuisine is very good with excellent and attentive service. The menu consists of traditional Italian dishes as well as steak and seafood. We had Blackened red fish with lump crab hollandaise and traditional Veal Parmigiana. Both were very good and accompanied with a Sensation salad and side of pasta. Excellent and extensive wine list as well as a full service bar.

Google
Excellent Italian food and the service is exceptional. Waitress was very personable and kept us engaged in conversation throughout our dining experience. Not really for the t-shirt and jeans or shorts crowd. Wonderful decor, semi dressy, great background music, and plenty of parking available. Another phenomenal option on Jefferson.

Google
This place has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I had a soup, sensation salad and the seafood manicotti. The soup was delicious, but the salad and manicotti were lacking. The manicotti was missing something that I can't quite put my finger on. I would try this place again, but order a different entrée.

Valentines day was our first time eating here and it was great! Staff gave great service, i believe tara was our server that night. The atmosphere didn't seem chaotic as you would expect on such a big holiday. Our food was paced out well, and their was even a live musician! Definitely will be back.

Google
Nicole was phenomenal! So professional and kind. Very attentive. The restaurant week menu is very good. The pork was mid - but if you like a roast you’ll love it. It has that flavor pallet for SURE. Falls off the BONE. The tiramisu was some of the best I’ve had - let alone in Baton Rouge.

Google
Came in for Restaurant Week and was blown away by both the food and the service. The food was rich, delicious, and overall amazing with great portions. My waiter Dominick definitely made the experience that much greater with his recommendations and incredible personality. I'll be back for sure and I am already planning when my next visit will be. Updated 1/30/25: Another Restaurant Week, another amazing experience. I always recommend coming to family, friends and even strangers!

Google
1st time visit. Harold was a great waiter ... attentive, but not intrusive. Suggested the Little Italy Sample .. and it was quite good. Wife got a GF cauliflower pizza that she thoroughly enjoyed. Nicely appointed tables and interior made it a pleasurable lunch.

Yelp
Food was top tier Server name was Amber she was absolutely amazing her attention to detail and level of kindness 10/10 Restaurant was nice, truly a hidden gem in our city.

Yelp
Waitstaff was nonintrusive, entertaining, it didn't feel like you were being rush or overcrowded even though the restaurant was packed. The food was fresh and delectable. Live entertainment topped of the night. An experience you must try.

Yelp
Came here with some friends for restaurant week and the inside was very calming and elegant. We had not been able to catch up with each other for months, and we appreciated that our server was attentive, but never made us feel rushed. We ordered drinks to start and take advantage of happy hour prices. I ordered the blackberry moonshine margarita, and it was very light and refreshing. Definitely could see myself getting carried away on these if not careful as it was so good! They also brought out rolls and olive oil/pesto combo to start. The rolls were good, but could have used a little more butter or garlic for some flavor. I expected the oil/pesto to have some flavor and it didn't have any. It was a disappointing start, but the rest of the food made up for it. I picked the crawfish wontons as my appetizer, and they were delicious. The sweet chili sauce on the side was perfection. I wish the wontons had a little more filling, but I also understand the delicate balance of having them too full vs just full enough. I went with the tour of Italy for my entrée, so I could try a little bit of the best. The alfredo was good, but not my favorite. The chicken parm didn't come over noodles, but I assume that was because it was a noodle heavy dish with the other entrees. The lasagna was fabulous and I will definitely order that again! For dessert, I ordered the lemon mascarpone cake and it was amazing. The small details made this truly the star of the night. The little shreds of white chocolate and the strawberries ... delightful. I would like this to be my new go-to cake order for my birthday. If Italian food is your jam, this is definitely somewhere that you have to try.

Yelp
My dining experience here was fantastic!! I could go on and on about how much I love La Contea. I was in town visiting relatives a couple weekends ago and we decided to go here for dinner on Saturday because it's my cousin's all-time favorite restaurant. We made a reservation so being seated was super easy. There was live music, and even though we were seated pretty close to the speaker, it wasn't too loud. The guy that was singing had an incredible voice and the song choices were classy. The lights inside are dimmed so it felt cozy (my grandmother did need to use my phone's flashlight to read the menu though, so keep that in mind if you have poor eyesight in low lighting). Our server was super nice! I didn't catch her name but she's British. She remembered my family's orders from previous times they'd been there (and apparently she'd only been their server once before)! She answered all questions thoroughly and treated us like family. The food was fantastic and I can't wait to come again! To start, they gave us a basket of bread with herby olive oil, and our server also offered to give us the last batch from the oven! I ordered the Tour of Italy (chicken parm, fettuccini Alfredo, and lasagna) because I couldn't decide on just one thing. My favorite was the lasagna, but everything I tried was delicious: the rolls, arancini, fettuccini Alfredo, chicken parm, lasagna, and crème brûlée for dessert. My family said they also used to have a chocolate lava cake (if I'm remembering correctly) and it was their favorite dessert but apparently it's no longer being offered as of writing this. But maybe they'll bring it back someday and I'll get to try it. We got the crème brûlée instead and it was great. It had the perfect amount of crispy sugar on top and the custard wasn't curdled, bubbly, or grainy like at some other places I've been. The portions are really big and are super reasonably priced! All of us had leftovers and they actually reheat really well. I'm excited to come here again in the future and try more things! Or maybe I'll just get the lasagna again because I loved it so much.

Yelp
Dined in for a graduation dinner and the food was amazing. Our servers were attentive and quick with speed. The food was served hot and fresh. The chicken parmigiana was seasoned well and was crispy. LOVED the tomato basil soup! The cocktails were light and refreshing.

Yelp
Wow! A really nice Italian restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious. We got the salmon piccata and the chicken parm. The salmon was cooked to perfection. The chicken parm's sauce was amazing. I usually don't like red sauce and I could have eaten the whole plate. The service was also good.

Yelp
I've been here a few times now and the lunch specials are fantastic. Solid Italian food and lots of it, quick service, and a good place for a group. Both times I've had a Caesar salad with a Picatta, because I'm a sucker for a Picatta. The Chicken Picatta is part of the lunch special and is an enormous portion on top of a pile of pasta with a salad. The Salmon Picatta is not part of the lunch special, but it was cooked perfectly and also on top of a pile of pasta. Both had tons of capers and lemon flavor, which is my favorite part of Picatta, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The pizzas also look amazing! Definitely one of our go-to's for an office celebration since it's near the office and pricing is great. Will have to try for dinner soon!

Yelp
The ambiance is the perfect place for a nice dinner or lunch! There was very moody lighting so that everything was calm and elegant feeling. The service was great and we were seated very quickly . We got complimentary garlic rolls which were so good! I ordered the chicken parm and my friend ordered the carbonara. Both were amazing and I would come back again!

Yelp
I posted a review, but my photos didn't post. I wanted to make sure everyone got a chance to see this restaurant shine in more ways than one.

Yelp
I know it's what's coming to us and will be so commonplace unless something nationally is done to change the trend however until it is, I deduct 1 star from a location when they upcharge or pass the credit card fee onto the customer---in this situation it's 3.5%, and I do not know how much warning /notification they give you until the bill is brought out to you--or rather I was not aware until I looked at the bill---that said and rant over, everything else here is well deserving of a 5 star review, except I think they have too many tables such that it feels like you could have a lack of privacy should the place be 80% or more capacity. Anyway, service/attentiveness here is top notch---the manager checked on us and other tables asking if we were happy. Our server was prompt, polite, and efficient. We also had a 2nd server who made sure our drinks remained filled and full. The food was as expected---appetizers smelled and tasted great--and I think were of decent quantity. The crawfish wontons hit the spot. After the appetizer was served, we were brought bread to the table and the bread felt like it melted in our mouth and good thing it did because shortly thereafter our entrees arrived---this was osso bucco on top of mashed potatoes and another had the crawfish stuffed bell peppers with a side of spaghetti topped with marinara. Portions were decent size and I think most can finish these entrees should the dinner choose that route--or you can have a decent meal for the next day. Although full, we ordered dessert --tres leches was tasty but not over flavorful, lemon pie was just the right amount of lemon and the tiramisu always hits the spot. Oh yeah, we went dinner time and at least on Fridays, they have a soloist singing 1940s--1960s oldies crooner songs which is an awesome added feature---my conclusion is that if Italian is a favorite of your then this is a place you need to try.

Yelp
Seafood Risotto was very good. I was able to substitute the clams for shrimp. No complaints!

Yelp
La Contea is a great staple Italian restaurant. The food is extremely authentic bringing the taste of Florence, Venice and Sicily in one place. We started out with the fried calamari which is always delightful - it's light, fluffy, and leaves you wanting more. I love how there is a pianist to play wonderful music, really sets the ambiance! We each ordered different dishes that really hit the mark! The service was quick and prompt - very friendly server and took exceptional care of us. Highly recommend if seeking authentic Italian food!

Yelp
The food here was super good! I got the carbonara, and it was delicious. The service was also excellent. I will say that although this place wasn't super fancy, the music was quiet. Take what you will from that. Overall, I had an excellent experience here and will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Came here for a wedding rehearsal party. The seafood pasta, calamari, and tiramisu was really good.

Yelp
I'm not sure how I've not been here before, but here we are. The restaurant was beautiful. The service was very good and attentive. Even the prices were reasonable in today's economy. I got the eggplant Parmesan, which is one of my favorite Italian dishes. It delivered the flavor that I was looking for--with a great red sauce and I loved the cheese on top. My husband devoured the seafood risotto. Although I am particular when it comes to seafood, I will say that it looked very appetizing. If I have some negatives, I will say that the complimentary bread was lackluster. It was bland and could have used some sort of seasoning or maybe some butter. The other thing was that although the live music was nice, it was too loud. It was hard to have a conversation with the others at our table. Perhaps we were sitting too close to him, but next time I will be sure to ask for a table further away. Overall, it was a good experience and I would definitely return.

Yelp
Would absolutely go back! The lobster dip for the app is to die for! Best thing we ordered. Would only go back for the dip. Do you hear me? Now, the Caesar Salad??? The Italians are disappointed, trust me, I know. Ambiance was BEAUTIFUL! Loved the pianist that played, we could tell he was having fun which lead to me and my friend having fun too. Service was very good! My waitress was amazing, I'd go back for her honestly.

Yelp
We ordered Salmon Piccata, The Redfish Special, Shrimp Scampi and Tour of Italy which is really large enough for 2-3 people to share but we had one extra tall friend that actually finished two of the three featured dishes himself. Everything was excellent and it was a perfect Sunday late lunch! Service was impeccable - our desserts were Tiramisu and Crème Brûlée. The only thing missing was the music. There is live music during dinner service Thursday-Saturday.

Yelp
I've been here in the past and I've loved it. Today was just okay. However, the server that took my order was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu! Once I arrived, it didn't seem like anyone was dining in at the time. The restaurant appeared clean and had a nice ambiance. Near the to go counter, there's a side room and I could hear one staff member loudly telling another staff member about his life experiences as I waited. I'm not sure if he knew I was there because he used a few choice words and the content of his conversation was a bit inappropriate for strangers. On to the food, I ordered the calamari and lasagna. The calamari was under seasoned, but a little salt helped out. My husband loved the lasagna and said the ricotta cheese gave it the right flavor. I'm hoping today was just an off day for the restaurant because I've had a much better experience in the past.

Robert W.

Yelp
The food is usually slopped together and mediocre at best. I've eaten there twice and would not recommend it. Just place your own Sysco order.
google avatar

Jackylene S.

Yelp
I'm not sure why I waited so long to try out this place. The drinks are strong and the food was generally delicious. I arrived with a group during lunchtime on a Friday. Our drinks took a few minutes but otherwise the service was great. We ordered calamari and arancini to start - everyone raves about both. Entrees have the option of adding side salads and be aware, these are LARGE. Everything about our meal was fantastic except for my veal piccata. Sadly, the veal was WAY over cooked but the noodles and flavor were good. I would comeback but order another dish- the eggplant parmasean looked yummy.

Yelp
I'm truly on the fence about La Contea, but Italian food is my absolute favorite, so I do tend to be pretty picky. The smell coming into the restaurant is full of garlic and butter (delicious!), so that was a good start. The restaurant itself is cute inside, classy, but not stuffy with a surprising number of tables. You could equally get dressed up or wear jeans. During our dinner there was live music, which is always a plus. Our waitress was super nice at very attentive when we arrived, making sure we got water and drinks right away. I ordered their elderflower French 75, which was a bit overpowering with the elderflower; it needed more Prosecco to balance out the floral flavor. I don't think I've ever had a bad French 75 in Baton Rouge, so this was a little disappointing. As far as food is concerned - it was hit or miss (thus the 3 rating - I wish I could do 3.5!). The table bread is a basket of garlic roles topped with Parmesan cheese; I absolutely loved these because they were very garlicky (which might not be a winner for everyone). We ordered the fried cheese as an appetizer (because who doesn't like fried mozzerella?!). This was a bit of a disappointment. For the price, I don't think there was enough cheese (I think 5 small slices) and the marinara sauce that it came with has a strange aftertaste to it (almost like a jarred sauce). The cheese itself was nice and gooey with crispy outer friend goodness, but not the best I've ever had. For an entree, I ordered the Lobster La Contea. The sauce on this was amazing (again very garlicky, which I enjoyed) and truly was the star of the dish. For the price, though, I expected more lobster meat. There were only a couple of small pieces, which were slightly overcooked. The ravioli did not taste homemade as the online story suggests is true of their pastas. The pasta was pretty thick and the filling was not super flavorful. My husband ordered the lasagne and was really disappointed. The pasta noodles were cooked unevenly and the filling was heavy on sauce and not enough beef. The sauce seemed similar to the one served in the appetizer, so it didn't seem home made. While in many cases I would say that fast service is a plus, it was almost too fast in this case. I'm the kind of person that doesn't want to feel rushed to eat, but I did feel that way during this particular experience. I'm certainly interested in going back, but maybe order something else.

Grace B.

Yelp
Large portions for the price. We left here stuffed after an appetizer, cocktail, and 2 entrees for $75. Great service and great taste! The ambience makes for a wonderful date night.

Yelp
Atmosphere is great. Dim lighting and romantic. Food was delicious and affordable. Very rich Italian flavor. I will absolutely be back.

Yelp
I honestly wished I had found this restaurant a lot sooner versus just last week because this Italian restaurant is now my new favorite spot in Baton Rouge. The lobster ravioli was so good that I wish I had more of it. The Arancini was also wow, too! I'm definitely planning to try more things on their menu next time! #tonylameats #laconteaitalianrestaurant #italianfood #batonrougela

Yelp
Oh my!! This was great. Went on Mothers Day so I expected long wait times for food and drink. Not at all. The restaurant is lovely. We got warm garlic bread and seasoned oils when we sat. YUMMY way to start. I ordered a dirty martini and my friend had the strawberry lemonade sangria. Wonderful. They make all their syrups fresh daily in house. You can definitely tell. I ordered the carbonara and friend has tour of Italy. The portions are very generous. My carbonara was divine! The sauce was nice and garlicky with plenty bacon. The tour of Italy was just right. Able to test three dishes and styles so we are ready for the next trip. Fettuccine was very nice. Lasagna terrific. Chicken Parmesan very good. We were too stuffed to get dessert but boy did I want the Lemon Marscapone Cake! Its a head turner. Next time because I'll be back.
google avatar

JT S.

Yelp
This Italian restaurant is a solid, lasagna was like an Italian meat pie with cheese and ground beef in the center wrapped by pasta and cheese. Eggplant Parmesan was good. Would have been better with fresher eggplant.

Yelp
*Super late review!* I came here for my birthday last year after hearing about the restaurant through a friend. I was able to make a reservation on Opentable which was convenient. It was pretty empty when we arrived (besides the big party in a private area), so the host basically let us sit anywhere we wanted. For apps, we ordered the mussels marinara, bruschetta, calamari, stuffed mushrooms, and caprese salad. Everything was good, but the mussels were a bit salty (we think it was the marinara) and the bread for the bruschetta was extremely thick. We were also given garlic knots/ bread which I didn't try since we ordered so much pasta. For the main course, we couldn't decide so we ordered many -- the tour of Italy, pollo picatta, Linguine di Mare, lobster ravioli, pizza, and the Penne Gorgonzola. Everything was AMAZING, but again the linguine dish was a bit salty and we truly believe it was due to the marinara after having the sauce a second time on another dish. Another complaint is that the Caesar dressing was on the sweet side and missing the tart flavor that you would maybe get from the anchovies? The owner delivered a special Italian ice cream birthday treat to our table with the lit alcohol sugar cubes; what a nice gesture! At the end, our waitress did disappear for a little while, assuming she was doing her side work since it was close to closing time. I'd definitely come back to La Contea and maybe try out their lunch menu next time.

Yelp
Pollo Milanese- one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had. The entire dish was flavorful and so delicious. This was a delivery order and everything came just as ordered and was packaged with care. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food is fabulous. This will sounds crazy but the best cauliflower pizza EVER. Fantastic place for any celebration and the ambiance and setting is beautiful. All servers are trained, knowledgeable, and so courteous. Easy parking and also good for kids. Great date place. Just a gem.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a party of 30 individuals and the restaurant was very accommodating and actually gave us our own space to the right as you enter. The room was very well setup and the atmosphere was great! Very nice spot for large parties - good Italian food all around and I would recommend it. Bread service was good! Mostly everyone ordered the Shrimp Modo mio and everyone seemed to enjoy it! Another nice dish was the tour of Italy and that was pretty good. I personally got the mussels and those were spot on! Thank you!! Lastly, we ordered a little dessert and I think the lemon cake was good, the tiramisu didn't meet expectations and the chocolate cake was good! I would come back here!

Yelp
This place is a gem. The food was excellent and our server, Natalie was very attentive and personable. It was a welcoming experience. We felt comfortable and loved the atmosphere. On this night (Saturday) there was live music, which added to our delight. We will be back very soon. If you're in the mood for a fun and relaxing dine, we highly recommend this place for great food and awesome service.

Yelp
I only hate that I didn't discover this Italian treasure sooner. And it's right here in BR! Always great service and the food will have you already thinking of what your choices will be for your next trip. I will mention one thing to keep in mind when choosing this restaurant. There is often times a live performer in the PM hours. We've always enjoyed the added entertainment. The singer on one visit was singing all the familiar Italian classics and did a great job doing so. But if you're looking for a quiet dinner to whisper sweet nothings to your honey. You might first check to see if they'll be live music. Or maybe reserve a table further distance from the performance. The food and the service will be worth the visit.

Yelp
"First, the service was incredible - Jennifer was great. Friendly, attentive and had great recommendations. Very nice wine list - both in quality and price. Appetizers (crab cakes and bruschetta) were fantastic - fresh real crab meat! Entrees (ribeye and Shrimp Modo Mio) were very well done - perfectly flavored and prepared. Really enjoyed the dinner singer (Valentine's Day). Great place for a nice dinner. "

Yelp
Poor customer service on the phone. First time I called to place the order I was hung up on. The pasta was actually nice & I have no complaints about it. However, dessert was a complete rip off. I paid $8 for what was basically a cake square. I called back to ask where the rest of my slice of cake was and was again treated with indifference. I was told that they leave the whipped cream and strawberries off to go orders. That doesn't seem right. Not to mention, I was not the only unhappy customer in the restaurant when I went to pick the order up.

Yelp
This is my new favorite Italian restaurant in all of Baton Rouge. Service is great. Every dish I've eaten here is incredible. Most recently I celebrated a birthday. Not only did they give me a complimentary dessert, they asked me to select any dessert from the menu. In addition to awesome entrees, including seafood, the pizza is the most delicious I've ever eaten. Pasta dishes are over the top. A great lunch menu with fast service is available. Weekly happy hour offers half price appetizers as well as drinks. I drank my first Italian margarita and ordered another. A big plus for eating here, prices are very reasonable, wait staff is knowledgeable and personable.

Yelp
Came to this place with recommended by a friend. As we came in we were greeted nicely and taken to our table. The entire staff was super nice, food was awesome! I will definitely recommend this place as well as visit again. Very pleased with the service.

Yelp
I met some former colleagues for lunch - there were six of us, I believe. I was a little late, but was eventually met by the server to get my drink order. I was seated in the pathway of a lot of foot traffic, so i feel like I was in the way a few times. Thankfully I had viewed the menu in advance because she was on top of us to place the order. I get it, it's lunch and most groups get a little jumpy regarding time. I sort of just chose the first thing i saw, the Italian Wrap. Everyone's dish was quick to come out. Several compliments across the board. Mine was good - I wasn't expecting the spice, and I love spice, so i was happy. It was well presented and a very large serving - so i had the rest for dinner which was nice.My colleague got the pizza and said it was a bit bland. There were a couple of pasta dishes that looked really good as well. I felt very rushed several times as different bus staff came through grabbing plates and asking if we ere done. Again - lunch, i get it, but my neighbor still had her fork in her hand. It's a little pricey for my lunchtime liking (although like I said, it was a little bigger than say, a Subway wrap), and having a couple of dietary restrictions (which i wish i didn't have because i do enjoy the food), it was a little hard finding something that I should have ordered. Our server was delightful - very sweet personality which was nice. I'd go back after having studied the menu a bit ahead of time, but probably go on an off-night evening or late afternoon to be able to have a little more relaxing time.... and enjoy what looked like a nice choice of wines.

Yelp
Overal great. Was great. Cannot remember but I'm sure was ok based upon My three stars. Horrible review.

Yelp
Vastly underrated Italian restaurant. Whether dining in -- the service and atmosphere are superb -- or picking up takeout ( they've never got one of my orders incorrect), the food is the star. It always tastes fresh. Never over sauced. The salads are great because the lettuce is consistently green and leafy. Lunch specials are outstanding. If you go once, you'll keep going back.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate a graduation and the meal was perfect. The environment is classy cute. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu, funny and made bomb drinks. The table bread was good paired with the olive oil dipping sauce? I ordered the Lobster LaContea with a soup and salad. Everything came staggered, hot and fresh. My main entree was meaty and very flavorful. The rest of the party enjoyed everything about their meal as well. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
My husband and I went here recently for dinner with my mother in law. My husband had the Pollo La Contea which was very good. My husband said the layers of flavor made this tasty and satisfying. I had the Pollo Piccata. The portion was plentiful and the flavors were very good. My mother in law had the lasagna, which was a huge portion. She brought some home for the next day. My mother in law thoroughly enjoyed the crème brulee, and my husband and I shared a large piece of carrot cake that was awesome. Give La Contea a try!

Miranda S.

Yelp
I came with an 8 person party and the food was so so good. Our waitress was wonderful and was super helpful when we asked about details of the food. It was nice on the inside and had the perfect ambiance for a nicer lunch or dinner. The menu was pretty big and so were the portions!

Yelp
I tried this place a couple of times this year (through delivery once after COVID started and back in February for my mom's birthday before COVID) and I liked everything that I had. They make really delicious Italian food. I think my favorite thing on their menu was the chicken parm, fettuccine alfredo and the lasagna. The bread is really good too. When I did visit in person (pre-covid) I liked the atmosphere here as well. It has low-lighting and white tablecloths. I think it would be good for a nice date, if that's your thing, haha!

Yelp
We were looking for lunch after yet another group study session. We saw that this was an Italian restaurant and that there were lunch specials. We went! It was virtually empty when we got there. We were started off with bread (I love their bread!) I got the tomato soup because it was starting to rain and that comforts me lol. We also split a calamari appetizer. It was so good. I love the fact that they had marinara and lemon wedges. I ordered the Tour of Italy and a sweet tea. Y'all, the Tour of Italy is gonna run you almost $20 at OG. At La Contea, the Tour of Italy was almost half that price, including the sweet tea! And it was so good! Fresh, flavorful, made from scratch, and delicious. The alfredo wasn't too heavy on the garlic or salt and wasn't too heavy on the sauce. The lasagna was very good and the chicken parmesan was huge! They give you very large portions for just a lunch menu. I came back alone recently and had Julian as my server. Very sweet guy; he was very quick, efficient, kept my water glass full, and had my food out quickly. I'd asked for chicken parmesan over fettuccine. I should have specified and said fettuccine alfredo but the fettuccine marinara it was over was still just as good. I'll definitely be coming back and trying the wraps or the cake. I keep hearing that both are great.

Yelp
This restaurant was amazing for a special occasion. There was live music in a romantic dimly-lit atmosphere. The service here is also great; our waitress was really kind and gave good recommendations. We first started our dinner with garlic knots and an herb-oil dip. The bread was deliciously soft and the herb-oil added a nice touch. Next, we ordered the mussels marinara as our appetizer. It was so delicious! The mussels are cooked in a marina and white sauce that left me wanting more! Finally I had the red snapper with my choice of fettuccini noodles. This red snapper was one of the best I've had. It was so juicy and tender. My date was indecisive so the tour of Italy is a great way to get a little bit of everything; his personal favorite was the chicken parmigiana. Overall, this little hidden spot is a Baton Rouge treasure.

Yelp
Food is great. Service is nice. Ambiance has a CCS type feeling. Or Starbucks. You will like it. Try it.

Yelp
Ate at this place recently and it was not bad at all. The environment was peaceful and clean. The bathrooms were clean too! The service was great and the food didn't take too long either. The bread and calamari are quite good. However, the fettuccine Alfredo is just normal Alfredo, not bad but not special.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomena!!! Ask for Harold (who was our waiter) if you want top tier wait service.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much from the outside, when you enter it seems to be a fancier type of restaurant with white table clothes and dimmed lights. My husband and I spilt the small sensation salad for an appetizer. It was good but the mozzarella cheese was not a good compliment to the dressing. The bread rolls were hot and fresh. I ordered the Shrimp Florentine with zucchini noodles, tomatoes, and spinach mixed in with a butter sauce. The dish was cooked fully but it had very little flavor. My husband had the Chicken Marsala. The chicken was cooked well. The flavors were bland. Overall it was an adequate food experience with flavors.
