"Casual Cuban-inspired brunch or lunch or dinner. Or for no other reason than needing more pressed Cubanos in your life which is basically, always. Bring a date. Bring Mom. Bring yourself! The menu features plenty of veggie options and drinks that call for round two, or three. Avocado is extra but you already knew that." - Sarah Di Domenico

The 38 Best Restaurants in Toronto, Canada | Eater

"Chef-owner Corinna Mozo’s retro diner (replete in pastel hues and squeaky vinyl banquettes) pays tribute to the restaurant her grandfather owned in Cuba in the 1950s. Everything is made from scratch, including the bread, pastries, and desserts. The serotonin-boosting barbecue beef short ribs are braised for hours, given a lacquer of sweet-savory guava sauce, and served with meaty, palm-sized tostones. Another must-try is the classic Cubano, which gets catapulted into high society with slow-roasted pork shoulder, oozy Gruyere, tangy red onions, and chipotle mayo on a house-made baguette. Know before you go: You didn’t hear it from me, but the original location on Ossington may or may not contain a speakeasy called Bar Habana." - Tiffany Leigh

Google
Came in for happy hour. Meal was really good but staff was hustling! Even though they were grinding out orders the two servers were super nice and attentive as much as they could be.

Google
Absolutely worth the wait! The restaurant was quite busy and we had to wait in line, but it was totally worth it. The food was absolutely delicious, high quality, and reasonably priced. The waitress was very friendly and attentive—even though she was working alone and it was hectic, she managed everything so well. Our food came a bit late, but she kindly brought us complimentary drinks as an apology when we were leaving. I really enjoyed the food and the cozy decor. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
Absolutely amazing. Everything I tried was delicious but in particular the pork belly médianoche. The restaurant and decor are super cute also.

Google
Loved our visit to La Cubana! We tried the roast beef sandwich, pressed ham sandwich, and the beef burger. The first two were absolutely delicious, packed with flavor and perfectly made. The burger was decent, but the sandwiches really stood out. The black bean soup was a highlight! so hearty and flavorful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the whole experience even better.

Google
We found La Cubana by chance while looking for a quick bite, and it turned out to be an incredible experience. We shared the ham and cheese croquettes and yuca frita as starters – both were delicious. For mains, we had the pressed Cubano sandwich, pulled pork medianoche, and the Guava BBQ beef short rib plate. Everything was flavourful and well-prepared. The place has a nice 1950s Cuban vibe with traditional Cuban music playing in the background, making the experience feel authentic. The classic sides like tostones and congrís rice were the perfect complement to our meals. The service was quick and attentive. I highly recommend La Cubana if you’re looking for a true Cuban experience in Toronto.

Google
La Cubana 😍😋 I had dinner here with my friend and it was an amazing experience. The food was well cooked and tasty. The atmosphere was also cool; same for the music. The service was good as well. You should try me.

Google
Had a great time here , the atmosphere is nice as well as the music the only downfall was when the phone rings it goes through the whole sound system and promoting happy hour with no beer and then the beer just arrive 6pm felt suspicious but it’s whatever. The food was delicious and I will definitely go back. The TOSTONES and I enjoyed their Cuban Mango Habanero Hot sauce.

Eric Leveille

Google
Had the Cubana sandwich with the fried squid. The food was super tasty and the service fast and friendly and kind. The place is clean and had been wanting to try it out for years and happy that I finally did.

Yelp
We are Karina from Miami and we're staving, nothing else in the area seemed appealing to us at 9pm so we went with what we thought we knew.. Bean soup, super yummy and typical, pulled port sandwich (not Cuban) but delicious, pork belly plate, super fatty but oh so satisfying with a kind of Moro style rice and beans, but the croquettes.. the Ham and cheese croquettes.. I have no clue where they have tried croquetas from but hear we're not it lol! They tasted like papa rellena (stuffed potato balls). I am croquettes feen and I do not recommend these. But it was a decent spot for a late night bite!

Yelp
Tostones 2,7/10.

Yelp
Headed to Ossington this weekend and found this delightful spot! The ambience was super fun with pastel diner vibes. The achiote roasted chicken was really good with delicious fried plantains. The coleslaw on the side was seasoned very well and wasn't overloaded with dressing which I enjoyed. The guava bbq beef short rib was the allstar! Extremely tender beef with a delicious sauce on top. A must-try for sure! The coffee with leches was okay but more on the bitter side. I wish the cup was larger, it looked closer to a 6oz. The avocado salad was extremely disappointing as it was overly vinegary and the avocado was overripe to the point of being black. Don't recommend. Overall, I enjoyed my experience but would not order the coffee or salad again.

Yelp
This was a great spot to catch up with some friends on a Monday night. They have plenty of appetizers, sandwiches & mains. We ordered the cuban burger, guava short rib, pressed cubano & conch fritters. Our favourite was the pressed cubano! The interior was very diner like which we loved. Overall great vibes & a good spot on Ossington as most places are closed in Mondays apparently. The service was good as our waitress was very friendly.

Yelp
Absolutely in love with the interior of La Cubana. It's cozy and local while both modern and retro. The space is clean and bright but has a nostalgic, classic feel. There are so many intentional details that went into the interior that makes the atmosphere so special!! And along with the space, the food is GOOD and very affordable. We came for dinner on a Saturday and sat at the bar. The service was great, so great that the food actually came out before our drinks! The achiote chicken platter was a perfectly balanced meal. The chicken was flavorful, and the star of the show was absolutely the slaw - so delicious! The mojitos we got too were strong and refreshing. They have a bar in the back too, which is a cool addition. Great Toronto spot for sure.

Yelp
Gord and I had lunch yesterday afternoon at La Cubana. Gord wanted a Pressed Cubano but they had none of the buns so ordered a Cubano Medianoche instead (Ham, Pork, Gruyere, Red Onion, Cornichon, Grainy Mustard and Chipotle Mayo). I ordered a Chicken Medianoche (achiote chicken thigh, tomato and chipotle mayo). We split an order of beans and rice. All were very good!

Yelp
Sitting in a very popular street, La Cubana has a nicely tucked away speakeasy at the back of the restaurant. The front of the restaurant is nicely designed with lots of Spanish blue tiling and the menu popping out in white and red. I came by this place on Saturday around dinner time and the speakeasy was nice and quiet with a few customers enjoying their signature cocktails. The staff greeted us and guided us to the speakeasy. Inside the space there were about 5-6 tables, with a greenery garden ceiling and plants sitting in different corners of the space. The bar itself was stunning with a number of options and nicely lit to show off the display. The cocktail menu had a nice variety of signature drinks. I tried La Playa which had jalapeno infused tequila and mixed with some other liquor to make it look blue-ish green. The drink was presented very elegantly and beautifully and it tasted very nice as well. Ossington has a number of different gems but I'm a big sucker for speakeasies in the city.

Yelp
We were really impressed with this Toronto spot! We got there right around lunch rush on a Saturday, so we did have to wait a bit to get a table, but it wasn't bad. Once seated, our server gave us drink & food menus. I ordered the margarita and a few people ordered the beer. For food I ordered their burger and it was delish! The interior has a great vibe with fun diner decor and a beautiful bar top area.

Yelp
We went to five star restaurants, sandwich shops, and everything in between on our Toronto trip, but this had to be my absolute favorite meal!! It was absolutely adorable and the food was amazing! I got the chicken and it was perfectly moist and oh so perfectly seasoned! I didn't know just how much I was missing out not eating Cuban food with cabbage, but now that I've done it I'm never going back!

Yelp
This is a cute spot with good food and good service. I would rate it 4.5/5 overall if I could - the non-5-star is because I got the the chicken in my Cuban Plate Achiote Chicken was very mediocre. While well cooked and appearing well seasoned, it had little flavor. The yuca fries were good, although the garlic sauce that came with it was a little strange and not as garlic as we would have it liked. The mango colada that I had was also good more like a juice than a frozen drink. We enjoyed the jicama salad as well, it was very simple. Nice outdoor seating area by the street. But I would caution going at noon during summer because there isn't sufficient shade - it was quite hot so we moved inside! Overall, a good spot with good - but not stellar - food.

Yelp
I married to a Cuban. I know what good Cuban foods tasted like. We ordered a pulled pork, a pork belly, and a short ribs plate. All of the foods are very sweet. I can't... so disappointed. Wont come back!
google avatar

Tracy L.

Yelp
My first time trying Cuban food and it was delicious! The sandwich was grilled and stuffed with meat, so good! The rice dish consist of pulled pork on rice with beans and coleslaw. The pork was tasty with a little bit of sweetness and easy to pull apart. Coleslaw wasn't too salty or sour.the environment was very cute and vintage, I didn't get to sit at the bar but it felt like I was in Cuba! Service is okay, the place is super busy, so it's a little harder to catch the waiters.
google avatar

Abigail G.

Yelp
At night on a rainy Friday we had to wait around 30 min for a table for 6 without a reservation. It's a super small space with a restaurant area up front and bar in the back. I wouldn't recommend coming with a big group. We tried the short ribs, pork shoulder and pork belly main dishes. All were good but I liked the pork over the short ribs. 1 is definitely enough per person. We also got their donuts for dessert but I didn't find them good - tasted like an old fashioned timbit.
google avatar

Reh L.

Yelp
The guava BBQ beef short rib sandwich has been hyped up to me for years now and I finally got to try it - it did not disappoint. The beef was tender and flavourful, the sandwich running with juices, and that guava BBQ sauce hitting all the right notes. The drinks were great too, the mojito was simple and classic and La Havana was super flavourful with their apricot brandy. Overall a cute spot with a real Cuban retro feeling interior, and I can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
So delicious! Got the cubana, was perfectly made and so crispy tasty. Sat outside and had the best time, service was also really friendly. Big fan.
google avatar

Johnny L.

Yelp
Some of the staff were completely incompetent. Host said there would be a 15-20 minute wait or so, which is totally understandable. Waited about 25 for him to tell us to speak with another person, only for him to tell us he is sorry about the miscommunication and that there wouldn't be a table available. Huge waste of time and not even an apology or a coupon or any form of compensation. No accountability whatsoever, will be sticking to other location.
google avatar

Yelp
We finally stopped in La Cubana this weekend for lunch. Although we both enjoyed our sandwiches (Cubano and Chicken medianoche) and mojitos, I thought $17 was a bit steep for a sandwich that did not even come with sides. Cute diner vibes and good service though.
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
I've been multiple times. Very fresh food, the patio during the summer is always a good time. Service is good. Really tasty chicken.
google avatar

Sofi N.

Yelp
Was snack hopping in the area and bf wanted to pop in here cuz he's had the pressed sandwich here in the past and said it was really good. We ordered the cuban pressed sandwich and although the price was exorbitant for what it was, (not to mention bf said price has inflated so much since back then) i had to admit it was simply delicious. The sandwich seems simple enough that I wanted to try to make it at home instead for something I felt was overpriced, but I won't lie that if I were to walk by there again today I'd probably still cave in and still buy some sandwiches haha. The cocktails were delicious. Love the decor inside.
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
Cute little place. Really enjoyed the ambiance of the place. However, none of us were too thrilled about our food though. The sandwich was a little dry and required plenty of sauce to eat. Our favorite part of the meal was the conch fritters. Those were delicious.
google avatar

Virginia A.

Yelp
Service good. Menu has a lot to be desired. Ordered Beef dish and Vegetarian dish. The beef was over cooked to the point of no recognition. Price $26. The "vegetarian" dish was prepared by someone who does not know what the concept of that word entails. The dish consisted of 2 tiny slices of fresh cheese. 1/4 avocado, 3 slices of tomato and 3 slices cucumber, 2 little plantain patties and coleslaw that did not go with anything. All that concussion was hidden under lots of green leaves which I cannot name. All that was served unsalted and totally dry. No dressing whatsoever. That "special" dish was $20 when it actually should be no more than 6-7. I ordered French fries when I saw the green grass so I can at least have something better tasting and to help me eat the rest. For my surprised the French fries were made of yellow potatoes goodly burned. I foolishly assumed that they will serve better food than the one we got while vacationing in Cuba. There we had no choice but here I have and my husband and I will never go back.

Yelp
Long Story Short: Great small place for a quick, but slightly fancier, sandwich on Ossington! Long Story Long: I ordered the Shortrib Medianoche, which was very flavourful and spicy -which is not my favourite, but this was a great sandwich, I managed to ignore the burning. My friend ordered the Pressed Cubano, which was also delicious. We got sides of Conch Fritters and Yuca Frita, both were good. The Conch fritters are especially what stuck out for me from the food we ordered, they were the most unique. Service was pretty good, very relaxed, and the food came out fast and fresh. The decor looks cool and clean. Overall, worth a visit :)

Yelp
Brunch was perfection! I felt so cool walking into this hipster joint and wss impressed by thr very attentive service. I had a very tasty mojito and an inspiring plate of pulled pork, poached egg, rice and slaw. So inspired I began researching our next trip (to Cuba)! Oh their plantain was also quite memorable!

Arman A.

Yelp
The waiter is very rude. She was trying to charge twice for the bill and was denying to give us the receipt that it was declined meanwhile on the bank app it shows that our payment was gone through and approved. She started raising her voice and denying to give us the receipt and then she started asking for a tip on top of all this. I have never seen this service and a waitress shout at customers the way she shouted at with other customers around. Do not go.
google avatar

Lisa B.

Yelp
Yummy yummy yummy I got cubans in my tummy. Love this place! Wish there was one a bit closer to me b/c I honestly crave the cubanos hard. The portions are quite large. 1/2 a sandwhich is good for me, and then I have 1/2 for later (it makes good leftovers too). The decor is adorable, and the staff friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Cubano is really great! Quick, Friendly service. We went in for take out and ended up eating at the counter.
google avatar

Yelp
Disrespectful and heartless towards a cancer patient with mobility issues. We came here with someone with stage 4 cancer. We ordered food from Cubana, and, while waiting for the food, we got ice cream from across the street. We sat on one of the Cubana tables and they told us to leave because the cancer patient had a small ice cream. I explained that we ordered food from Cubana and we were waiting for it, and explained the cancer situation. The patient cannot stand for long. The waitress still kicked us out. It wasn't even busy because it was not dinner time yet (it was like 3:30pm on a weekday). We were very upset and hurt.

Yelp
Cuba....if you can't fly there, then go visit La Cubana at the west end for some good food instead. Just like the way i see Cuba in my mind, La Cubana is set in an old world ambience - the tiles, the marbled tables, the little old-styled coca-cola bottles. They just need to bring in a classic car to complete the theme. I keep hearing how Cuban food doesn't taste good. So i was curious and nervous about seeing if this bad rep is true. Well i don't know about the rest of the Cuban food, but the slow cooked ribs plate that i ordered was outstanding and flavorful!! The meat was tender with amazing sauce coated throughout. The purple slaw was delicious. And the rice with black beans was awesome with a bite of spiciness. I am definitely going back for more!!!!!
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
We split the chicken medianoche and it was delicious. I did wish that it had a little more spice or salt on the chicken. However, I'd definitely come back to try the Pressed Cuban. The drinks were also yummy although a little pricey averaging around $15 each. All in all, I was pretty satisfied with La Cubana and would recommend it to someone who's looking for a Cuban bite in Toronto.

Yelp
I was super excited to try this and have wanted to for awhile. Hot sandwiches are my favourite food. The actual location is decent. Right across the street from Bang Bang Ice Cream so you have dessert taken care of. Ample street parking on Ossington. The interior of the restaurant is well done. Walls tiled with a pastel Tiffany blue, booths running along one wall, and decorative shelving with Cuban products really does transport you for a little bit. My wife and I walk in and are seated promptly at about 1:45 pm on New Year's Eve. I ask what the waitress recommended, and she said she liked the Cuban burger, which is a chorizo patty, spicy slaw, and pickled jalapenos. She said it had a bit of a kick to it so even though I came for a sandwich, I decided on that (burgers are not sandwiches, don't @ me) with a side of fries. My wife ordered the Guava Beef BBQ Short Ribs. The first thing I noted upon receiving my order was the amount of "spicy slaw" that was on the burger. It looked just like purple cabbage on a bun because you couldn't see anything else. My first bite was basically bread and cabbage. When I got to the patty, however, I realized why; it was terribly salty. You needed that much slaw to balance the saltiness of the patty. The burger wasn't spicy by my standards at all; didn't really taste any pickled jalapenos. Fries were standard and good, but small portion for $5. I didn't end up finishing the patty, pulled out all the ingredients and ate the bun. My wife's Guava BBQ Short Rib plate was much better. Meat was super tender but I feel like the meat itself wasn't too flavourful and it relied on the sauce slathered on top more, which was light and enjoyable. The fried plantain should have been more fried but the rice and beans were good. Plenty of beans. With my experience being mediocre, I was ready to leave ASAP, but I couldn't see my server and the other lady was chatting with the kitchen staff rather than seeing if the customers needed anything. My wife ended up just walking up to the counter and paying after waiting 10 mins. Mediocre experience as mentioned above, and disappointing relative to my expectations. I'll most likely try a different location and follow my heart when ordering rather than the waitress' recommendation next time.

Yelp
It was our first time coming here and will definitely be back. Everything was amazing! Even the location is great - right in the middle of a nice strip on Ossington. We were a little skeptical as we were the only ones in the restaurant when we walked in, but probably because it was a bit before the dinner rush. I was set on ordering the classic cubano sandwich but changed my mind at the last minute and ordered the Cuban burger instead. It was amazing but to be honest I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. We also got the short rib medianoche, rice and beans and conch fritters. Everything was fresh, flavourful and so good. They also have a great hot sauce - not too hot but just adds a bit more of a kick. Service was quick and prices were very reasonable. Will come back to try other things on the menu but would definitely recommend the two mains we got and the conch fritters.

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
Food was good...service ok.. Not impressed with the imposed 18% gratuity/tip...added to our bill (party of 8). Many things wrong with this rule!? Won't be back.
google avatar

Matt W.

Yelp
Definitely a great place to go if you want an authentic Cubano Sandwich, and great cuban food. The beers, cocktails and even yuca fritas (their version of fries) are all made fresh, but the highlight is definitely the Cubano sandwich. Pressed ham, pork, gruyere cheese, red onion, cornichons, mustard and chipotle mayo!
google avatar

Tian Pu P.

Yelp
The place is decent. We only ordered 2 dishes but they were both good. Comparing the 2, i would prefer the pork belly burger over the short rib with rice. The rice is very good but the short rib is tad bit better than average. Burger was good because the bun was a softer kind (buttery). Burger does not come with sides for $11. Not too much seating, 7 tables around plus bar. They have a private room in the back.
google avatar

Brandon U.

Yelp
tldr: Quite authentic Cuban food with a bit of flare. Good drinks. Sandwiches are a bit pricey. Plates are good value and high quality. This cuban restaurant is a nice find for the area. The guava juice among others are tasty. The chicken plate is top notch. The chicken just falls off the bone and the spice is authentic. The bean rice and cabbage are solid complements. The sandwiches are a bit overhyped and not good value. but still taste good. Cool vibe and decor. Backroom bar is nifty. Staff is friendly. Nearby a lot of other cool shops and cafes.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute place that opens late (12am). Came here after a show and ordered the Pork Belly Medianoche Cuban plate. I was really hoping it wouldn't be too spicy but oh boy, I could not handle it at all. From what I was able to eat, the meat is super moist and flavourful. The sauce is sweet and the flavours run deep and of course, spicy. I tried to eat as much as I could before I had to admit defeat (FYI, I'm horrible with spicy food so it might not be as spicy as you think!). I ended up packing the whole dish and ordered a Cubano, which was pretty darn good (I was really hungry at this point so this might have affected my thoughts on it). The raspberry lime rickey was medicore, way more lime than raspberry. Ended up giving away that beverage and got the Boyland cream soda instead. Many open tables around 10:00pm on a Friday and food comes pretty quickly.
google avatar

Thanuja V.

Yelp
I like the design of the restaurant but I found the food to be super oily and greasy. I had the pork belly sandwich. The mango colada was good. Not overly sweet. Everything I asked for ran out, not my night. The service was also not the best. Too bad because the restaurant has a nice ambience but the experience was not HD greatest.
google avatar

Clarissa V.

Yelp
If we had a choice we wouldn't come back. The mojito was missing the sweetness or any sugar. The "cubano" lacked any mustardy flavor, and i had to ask for some. All they had was a grain Dijon. That's not Cuban. And what in the world is "chipotle mayo" doing on my sandwich?? We're not in Mexico or the southwest America. The bread itself was toast slices not a Cuban pressed baguette-like style. My husband got the chicken and kept pulling out cartilage pieces. I get it, it's fresh off the bone, but don't leave the bone in there! Again he at least was smart enough to request no chipotle mayo in his "Cuban" torta. The yuka Frita would have been perfect if it wasn't doused in some cheesy creamy sauce. It was perfectly fried, crispy and salty goodness.
google avatar

Ian K.

Yelp
Best munchies snack = buttermilk donuts + Café Cubano = $9 after tax (I actually paid $6.78 after tax because I asked for 3 donuts / usual 6 donuts) The buttermilk donuts were amazingly soft on the inside, but had a crunchy exterior with a taste reminiscent of just-opened cinnamon toast crunch. Paired well with the Cafe Cubano, an espresso based coffee with a bit of demeré / brown sugar. The addition of that one ingredient set it apart from your usual office coffee, and trust me I know office coffee. It ain't close to this! Topping it off with a 5/5 because the server was super nice and kept refilling water. The place's ambience kind of sets you in a Vacation feel, and I'm sure the food helped greatly in that effect.

Yelp
My bf and I came here for the second time and he seemed to remember the first time as being sort of mediocre. I liked the first time and the second time was even better. I got the pressed cubano and he got the short rib medianoche. We shared fries and the conch fritters. I liked my sandwich- it was very well balanced and the mustard wasn't overwhelming, which I find is a huge issue with a lot of sandwiches with mustard. The fries are very nicely seasoned (re: salt) and the conch fritters were great too. Bf said that the conch fritters were very batter-y to him but I like them- they're about the same texture as asian fish cakes but with a fried outside, if you know what I'm referring to. All in all, La Cubana isn't a bad way to spend $40 ish bucks between two people. It's about the same price as getting a burger and if you've never tried it, you should.
google avatar

Julie C.

Yelp
The food was great! The atmosphere, quantity and quality of the food suggest it should be of a "fast food" dining, however the prices don't quite reflect that. It is good food though so I would definitely recommend going at least once if you're in the area! Menu is simple and short. My partner and I had the Guava BBQ beef short rib plate and the Pork Belly sandwich (which does not come with any sides). I'd say in terms of portion sizes, the sandwich is a bit on the smaller size (for me personally) and the plate is a bit big. Could be good if you go with another person and decide to share each item. Overall, aesthetic and good food! Service was decent too :)

Yelp
Love La Cubana - I haven't had any thing on their menu that I didn't like. My go to is the black bean soup to start every meal. Add a squeeze of lime! We generally stick to the small plates and enjoy a well rounded meal with a couple cervezas. We have been going here for years and I really appreciate the consistancy.

Yelp
My friend and I randomly came to this spot, we were looking for something relatively inexpensive and healthy in the area. This place immediately caught our attention because of the cute decor, the fun music and because we wanted to try something new. We got the plant buger and really enjoyed it there was a lot flavour and it was enough to satisfy ys both. If your ever in the area you should definitely check it out :)

Yelp
Prices a bit high, food quality quite good, customer service so-so. I went to this venue with a few friends. It was a fancy Cuban sandwich place. The sandwich I had was very tasty, cooked to perfection, at the rate of $10. What I wasn't a huge fan of, was that I wanted to order a coffee after I ordered my sandwich, and the server never approached our table before the kitchen closed for the evening (something that in my experience all other restaurants I've gone to have done), so I was unable to place my final order. Also, one of the two washrooms that was available when I went to use it had a door handle which was not screwed in, and on my way out I initially was unable to open it and thought I was going to be stuck there. After trying to turn it a few more times, eventually the door opened. All-in-all, the food was great, but at what for me is a rather steep price. Also the fact that I was unable to place a coffee order prior to the kitchen closing did not leave a good taste in my mouth. I'd think twice before re-visiting this venue all this considered.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best food I have ever tasted, it's quite far for me, but totally worth it, just be careful if you order fries it's another six bucks extra lol, I ordered the guava beef short ribs plate, with plantain and pickled vegetables, I never tried Cuba food but this place looked so authentic it felt like you were in Cuba, excellent Covid protocol of checking the vaccine passport, you can tell they are cooking the food fresh despite being insanely packed, the meat was so tender it was pulling apart so easily with my form I didn't even need a knife, the guava added a unique texture to the beef, and the presentation is a+ as well, decent portion but I think 22 bucks is a bit steep, but I understand, to me flavourful food and coming with your passion heart and soul is more important than price, and I could taste that in the plate 100 percent, the French fires were crispy and soft, I mean I could eat like 200 of these plates cuz they were so good, the plantain was amazing as well crispy I have to try the desserts here next time, and the drinks, I'm gonna have a dream about these short ribs I'll be seeing you soon

Yelp
Small and noisy. Nice waiters but not Cuban! The food is ok. A little bit greasy. Large portions. But why do they close so early? At 9PM !

Yelp
The front of the restaurant had a bright, colourful, & vintage feel, whereas we were seated at the very back of the restaurant which transformed into a dark starry night vibe. I tried their Pork Belly and their Guava Short Rib Cuban plates. Both dishes were served with refreshing coleslaw that had slices of HOT jalapeño peppers, tostones (fried plantain patties), and warm beans & rice. The pork belly was so juicy and melt in your mouth. The Short ribs were also extremely tender and succulent with the marinade sauce, although I can't say I taste any guava flavours. This was my first time trying Cuban food, and I'm already in love with how delicious they make their pork!

Yelp
This photo is from a while ago when they still had patio dining last summer. It was a nice vibe, so hopefully they do it again but let's talk about the food: The first time I came here, I ordered the honey glazed pork belly medianoche, and it was hands-down one of the BEST sandwich type foods I've had. It was completely fresh, and pork belly was like MELTING in my mouth, and I could not stop talking about how delicious it was. Second time I came, I ordered the Guava BBQ short rib medianoche, with tostones and yuca fries. I'm not sure if it's because I came near closing, but the tostones and fries felt kind of stale and would not go back to order sides. The guava BBQ medianoche was quite good, a zesty cousin of the pulled pork sandwich with a nice brioche bun, but again, would not order it again. TL;DR: THE HONEY GLAZED PORK BELLY IS A ONE HUNDRED PERCENT YES!!! Just thinking about it now makes me salivate all over again. Everything else seemed mediocre by my experience.
