The 19 Best Restaurants In Buenos Aires 2024

"La Fuerza is a small bar located on a corner in Chacarita where you’ll eat your meal under dim lights and listen to music from the early 2000s. It’s a great place to snack and drink—try their french fries “a caballo,” which has nothing to do with horses and simply means they come topped with two fried eggs. You could also get their chickpea-based fainazzeta pizza if you want something closer to a full meal. Pair it with their house vermouth that’s made with Andean botanicals, on its own or in a cocktail." - martin chavesta, annie bacher

The 15 Best New Restaurants in Buenos Aires | Eater

"On a breezy corner in up-and-coming Chacarita, La Fuerza keeps Argentina’s aperitivo history alive with a contemporary take on vermouth bars. Come for the vermú, available on tap in white and red, made with grapes from Sebastián Zuccardi’s Mendoza winery and a selection of native herbs, spices, and flowers from the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The food doesn’t disappoint either, especially for those in search of true Porteño nostalgia on a plate, like the fainazzeta rellena, a mashup of fainá (chickpea cake) and fugazzeta (a sauceless onion and cheese pizza); tortilla de papa (Spanish omelet); and milanesa con fritas a caballo (schnitzel with fries and fried eggs)." - Allie Lazar

Google
Can’t rate the food because we came here after dinner, but what I saw coming out of the kitchen looked good. This was a great post-dinner drink spot for us. Lots of vermouth cocktails to select from, with vermouth that they make themselves. There are three types: rojo (more bitter), blanco (more sweet) and primavera (in the middle). The drinks were well-balanced and the atmosphere is festive and fun thanks to the colorful artwork and design details. I enjoyed the vermu la fuerza (rojo vermouth and soda) and the Caipi de Verano (blanco vermouth with vodka, mint, and lime). Bar service was not very proactively attentive but we had no problem flagging the bartender when we were ready for another round. Five stars for quality of the drinks, three stars for service, five stars for atmosphere. Also, if you love merch, you’ll likely want to buy a t-shirt!

Great contemporary typical Argentine cuisine restaurant serving elevated dishes. The setting is relaxed, menu is uncomplicated. Vermouth is the center point of the drinks menu. Ordered the fainazzeta de napolitana (thick chickpea pancake - think French socca or Italian farinata) with mozzarella and cuartirolo (Argentine melty) cheese, and heirloom tomatoes. Flavors were on point, and it was very filling. To drink I had a tónico de Los Andes. Dessert was a flan con dulce de leche (which certainly could have used more dulce de leche!), but was quite tasty.

Google
Unique experience to have housemade vermouth in a cozy bar. 2 levels, so you can sit inside where it's mildly lit and quiet or you can go upstairs to the outside rooftop. We sat inside and it's the perfect place for a date night experience; we had some of their vermouth tastings and something like croquette balls. I'm not a huge vermouth fan, but really enjoyed the experience here. Vermouth is very well integrated into Argentinian culture, and this bar does one of the top productions of it.

Lovely bar to try Vermù (fortified wine), super cozy with great service. Try the terrace upstairs if it’s nice out, it’s so pretty! Food was alright, we tried the octavet platter, it was a bit of a strange mix imo and lacking flavors.

Mixed feelings. Food: some great, some bad Escabeche de hongos : 7/10 good quality Buñuelos de acelga: 9/10 flavorful, perfe tly cooked, soft Fainazetta: 3/10 dry, bitter, unbalanced Croquetas de arvejas y queso ahumado: 9/10 similar to the Buñuelos de acelga. Drinks: not a fan of vermouth overall, which is their strength. That said, I asked for some cocktails with vermouth. Mixed feelings, again Negroni: very good 8/10 La perla del Atlántico (La Fuerza Rojo, Gin Casa Rosa Doble Enebro, almíbar de frutos rojos, limón, soda) : watery, not particularly flavorful 5/10 Atmosphere: trendy, interesting atmosphere. Nice place. We ate inside, which I recommend over the option of staying outside (where chairs and tables are small and uncomfortable) Service: the host was very welcoming, helpful and kind. The waitress was OK, but a little smile would help a lot. She was clearly not happy of working there. Price: Not cheap, at all. Cocktails are particularly expensive relatively. Conclusion: Some great things, some mediocre, some straight bad. I will probably not gonna be coming back soon

Google
Fantastic bar where they have home made vermouth. Good cocktails and the food options were very good that we tried. Also they offer vermouth to go. Definitely recommend!

Google
Interesting place, it's mainly a place to drink vermouth, which they have many varieties of, but also works as a restaurant with a small but very interesting and unusual menu, sucha as the fainanezza (a combination of faina and fugazzetta), and the buñuelos de acelga, smooth and delicious. My only criticism is they probably should have more options for us teetotal people, and the flan mixto had a lot of cream, but very little dulce de leche.

Google
The review is only for the vermouth. Four different types one is the new pear flavored. I enjoyed a few cocktails as well as sampling them all. The packaging for three of their RTD cocktails is a winner also. Nice staff and good mushrooms.

Yelp

Yelp
Had a tasting at this venue. The vermouth and the cocktails made with vermouth were top tier excellent! We had a charcuterie board with fresh ingredients and beautiful color. The presentation was fab!

Yelp
This was my favorite neighborhood restaurant during my stay. The burrata, lamb, faina, and malbec were delicious. My friend loved the vermouth. Fun rooftop bar and great service.

Yelp
The upstairs patio was fun at night but you need to be comfortable with the smokers. Decent vegetarian choices though the eggs and potatoes were not a big deal. Great service with attentive staff. The house drinks are awesome! Take a couple of bottles home!

Yelp
I've been to this place a million times because I live very close. Sadly on my last visit I was food poisoned. I went with a friend, we had omelette and vegetable fritters, we had vermouth. We both got poisoned. My poisoning was severe and I spent 5 days in bed. I lost 7 kg and had to cancel a trip abroad. My friend suffered slightly less than I did, perhaps because she ate less. According to my doctor in La Fuerza they gave us something to eat in a terrible state. Since I was a client of the place and I also walked by all the time, I knew many of those who worked. One day I mentioned what happened to one of the managers (a bald, short boy with a beard) and at least he apologized and was obviously embarrassed. It would have been nice if he had at least offered me to refund the amount I paid for that meal, which he did not do. This happened a long time ago, before the pandemic and I am only publishing this review now.
