San Antonio’s AT&T Center Gets 2 Restaurants From Chef Johnny Hernandez | Eater Austin

"A Mexican street-food concept from local chef Johnny Hernandez, focused on tacos, ceviches, tlayudas, tortas, and queso. The brand is expanding into the arena's east balcony level starting in November as part of the venue's renovations; it currently operates four locations—three in San Antonio (including one at the airport) and one in Las Vegas." - Nadia Chaudhury

I visited here for the first time recently during a visit to town. I was with a group of seven. The vibe is nice and inviting. The staff was very friendly. We ordered a variety of things: Oaxaqueñas, device, al pastor tacos, bistec tacos, guacamole, chile con queso, refried black beans, and cocktails - house marg, ranch water, flavored margs, paloma, mojito. Everything was hit or miss. Nothing was terrible but everything - drinks included - was either REALLY good or just okay. For us, what made something really good was having it be flavorful. For example, the charbroiled beans and guacamole needed more flavor. We added lime and they both tasted much better. The Oaxaqueñas was so flavorful and delicious. So was the device. The meat on the bistec tacos was dry but the tacos didn't taste bad. I'd come back and try a few more things on the menu, to have a solid line up of regular choices. The prices were fine. We were there during happy hour, so most drinks were reasonably priced.

Google
The mole chicken enchiladas were amazing. Very flavorful and the presentation was spectacular. Great house marg as well, happy hour prices made it better and it wasn’t too strong! The salsa had more of a mole flavor to it which I liked, very unique I came in on a time in between lunch and dinner and the vibe was perfect. I got a table outside overlooking the river. The restaurant’s outside area is well done 👌 I can see why this is a top rated spot in San Antonio

Mexicans don't eat here. Locals don't eat here unless they want very Americanized Tex-Mex. It's not a tourist trap but it's very business meeting, out of town family visiting, white washed Tex-Mex. The enchiladas are okay at best. The ingredients on the menu are toppings not fillings - and I tried 3 different ones. So if you get the veggie enchiladas then expect a cheese enchilada topped with everything else. The chips and salsa are both okay at best. For the price you can do way better. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.

We found this gem on our way back to our hotel. The vibe and atmosphere are in still in holiday spirit which made seating outside even better. Our waitress Yojandy was busy but still took her time with us and spoke both English and Spanish, which is always a plus for us. We were a party of 3. We ordered a few plates and drinks, both drinks and food arrived immediately. I was surprised with it being a full house, how quick it was. Thankfully the food was great despite the reviews. This place is def worth a try, I will def come back next time we are in town.

We had attempted to eat at this La Gloria restaurant. The way the entrance to it is confusing if your not coming in from Grayson St. Otherwise, good luck getting into parking lot. Plus it's free to park and eat here before 3:00 p.m Since it at or near The Riverwalk. Anyways we were greeted by a friendly hostess and we were asked if we'd like inside or out on the patio. It was already humidity hot so we ate inside. Also, our server Adrian did an amazing job answering all our questions regarding history of the restaurant and the specialty of the foods we had. We had a variety of different foods. We started with queso chorizo dip😋 and chips, shrimp aguachili and enchiladas 😋 chicken mole sopes. All of it was true mexican cuisine. All was of great flavor. Now that we know when and how to enter the parking lot. It has a calming atmosphere. We will come back for more sampling of the geat food.

Google
Our dining experience commenced with indoor seating, where the temperature was around 78 degrees, slightly warmer than ideal. In retrospect, the Walmart portable air conditioning unit nearby should have indicated that the air conditioning system was malfunctioning. Chef Johnny Hernandez's Mexican recipes did not align with expectations, particularly considering the high prices. The $28 carne guisada in a molcajete was not accompanied by rice or beans, and the rice lacked flavor, with no apparent inclusion of corn or tomato. The charro beans, priced at $8, tasted more like canned pinto beans with pico added, which seemed excessive. While the corn tortillas were not authentic, the flour tortillas were decent. Unfortunately, the bistek was dry and tasted similar to beef jerky. A meal at Taco Jalisco would have been a more cost-effective option, considering the $140 total for dinner.

Google
The kiddos and I really liked the vibe of this place. First of all, it has good parking where a lot of the other locations does not have good parking. Secondly, it has both indoor and outdoor spaces that are very artistic and there is lots to look at. Very child friendly. The negative is the absolute tiniest portion sizes at a premium price. We are still in Texas and not in Europe. We had five people and ordered seven entrees and all left hungry (three of these were kids under the age of 12). The dessert was the funniest. The picture does not really do it justice. It was about the size of a deck of cards and they charged $10. Even though the place was cute and the food tasted pretty good, I can't overcome the feeling of being underwhelmed with portion size and overwhelmed by cost.

Google
This place was incredible. The food was amazing, the decor was both vibrant yet super cozy, and the location was choice (on the Riverwalk). I was the blanquito -- with limited Spanish and a little hard of hearing -- eating with my significant other's Mexican family who were entertaining and visiting cousin from Monterey, so I got quite the full-on dining experience in the partaking of this Mexican American cuisine. I'm so glad it was experienced at La Gloria and not elsewhere!

Yelp
It was delicious. I'm a huge fan of enchiladas verdes in general though. I also got a margarita and it was extremely tasty! When in San Antonio, you have to try it. My party also liked the tortas de carnitas there as well. The restaurant itself was beautiful and very rustic. It has mosaic tiles and a more lived in feel that kinda matched the dish ware. It had rained earlier so they had shut the walls and didn't allow outdoor seating, but I was told the outdoor seating was quite nice and really nice vibe. I believe it faces the river walk. There's around 50 people worth of seating, and even more if there was outdoor seating. Service was fast and accommodating. They were really busy during this time though so there were less check ins with my party though. It has a huge lot for parking, so I wouldn't worry about that being a problem either!

Yelp
I stopped in for lunch with friends while visiting San Antonio, and the location itself is really cute. Our server was helpful, and the chips, salsa, and queso were a great start. I initially ordered the shrimp tacos and the corn elote, but everything tasted overwhelmingly like mayonnaise, so I couldn't eat either dish. I ended up switching to a quesadilla, which was flavorful but nothing to write home about. Overall, the service was good, but I didn't enjoy the food.
google avatar

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about the food which is why I'd give it 3 stars. I enjoyed some things and then didn't enjoy others, about 50/50. Complementary guacamole, queso, salsa, and tortilla chips. Guacamole was light and refreshing, also really liked the queso. The salsa though was not it, it tasted salty and almost resembled a burnt taste? Even the color was more like grey/ black. We got the ceviche rojo and the torta to share. The potato chips were bland, tasted just like oil and not much of a potato flavor oddly. The carnitas was okay, the best part of the torta was the bread but even that felt kind of too oily. Ceviche was good, cucumbers felt like it didn't contribute much to the dish. I think this one needs a side of small bread to eat with though. We used the bun from the sandwich to eat some of the ceviche and it was way better than eating it alone or with the potato or tortilla chips. I'm not sure I'd get it again, I do think eating it plain is just too much.

Yelp
Great restaurant on the river with an awesome ambiance, amazing happy hour that starts at noon! They have happy hour small bites We had the nachos with queso Fries with queso Chips & salsa The house margarita was delicious, I asked for jalapeños on the side to add to my margarita. The servers were very attentive & friendly, always making sure our drinks were filled & if we needed anything else.

Yelp
The food here was over all great, definitely needed a nap afterwards. The queso fundido with chorizo is essentially a meal for one with 4 corn and/or flour tortillas you can do half and half. The tostada and the sope were one each but very filling with delicious braised meat. Carolina who served us was delightful, she was quick and easy to order with. The place was definitely a vibe, the outdoor was next to the river, the decor was festive for November and had a great out door bar. This is definitely a happy hour spot for next time I'm in San Antonio, the location is PRIME! Right next to hotel Emma, which has a nice walking area and dozens of little local shops with coffee, pastries and so much more.

Yelp
I have visited La Gloria before but the one located inside the airport. My mother-in-law stated that she has never been so we stopped in for some birthday lunch celebrations. We arrived as they opened and were promptly seated inside. We opted for inside because it was hot outside. The place itself is nice and spacious. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. We ordered some chilie con queso to start. I ordered a vegetarian tostada, and a side of elote with a diet soda. My mother-in-law ordered Deshebrada quesadilla and coffee. Everything came out pretty quickly and was absolutely delicious. We even ordered a birthday Flan to split. We did request a tres leches cake but they were out. Our server was extremely nice and patient with us throughout our dinning experience. We walked away happy, full, and satisfied with our food. Great experience and service. The food was perfect. Thank you to our server and staff, who made my mother-in-law feel special on her big day. Would recommend and return.

Yelp
Had a quick lunch date here last week and it was well worth it. The place was also neatly decorated for Dia de las muertos! The staff was friendly and on point and the tacos were yummy as well! Wish the prices were not so steep though!

Yelp
We had a party of 12 and everything was amazing!! Food + service on point!! Our server was amazing!! Forgot her name (she mentioned she does nails), you are awesome girl! Thank you for making the birthday lunch a delightful experience! We will definitely return again.

Yelp
The bartender was attentive and assisted me in choosing my dinner option. He was friendly and professional. He recommended the ceviche and a few other items, but since we weren't very hungry, we decided that the ceviche and a frozen margarita would be enough. The ceviche was good, and the overall vibe of the place was relaxed.

Yelp
They are on the pricey side, for sure! $80 for two margaritas, queso, and Campechano. With that said, service was friendly, the food tasty, and the location right next to the Go Rio shuttle stop made it a quick in-and -out. The Campechano was absolutely LOADED with seafood! It had a bright punch of acidity. Their salsa has a flavor that is very familiar but that I can't quite place. It's worth a stop if you are catching the shuttle, fo sho!

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place when parking at the Pearl and thought it looked super cute so I decided to give it a try. I looked up their menu and saw that they supposedly had award winning margaritas. I LOVE margaritas so I was excited to give it a try. I walked in and was seated promptly. They really need to figure out their A/C situation. It was muggy and hot indoors. They had fans but I'm not sure if they didn't work or if they just weren't turned on. Now sweating, I was craving a nice, cold margarita more than ever. The waiter suggested a signature margarita and it sounded good so I decided to get it. It was supposed to come with mango, pineapple and Granny Smith apply garnish so I was expecting a gorgeous margarita topped with fresh slices of fruit and I asked for tajin run. The cocktail they brought out was basic. They didn't even add garnish. When I asked the waiter what happened to the garnish he said the bartender forgets sometimes and that he would bring me the garnish. He proceeds to come back with finely diced fruit in a small cup and dumped it on top of my margarita lol it was embarrassing. I ordered the chicken sopes and a side of carved elote. The Sopes was yummy but the corn was not good and had a bunch of corn silk mixed in so it was hard to remove it from the cup. I also saw that they had a happy hour menu and the margaritas were $8. I wanted to give it a try to see what the difference was between their happy hour Margarita and their specialty margaritas. Their happy hour margarita was absolutely terrible. Tasted like watered down margarita mix lol. So I guess if you go here, the specialty margaritas are what you're going to want to get. I wouldn't call them award winning because I've definitely had better at Texas Road House lol but they weren't bad for $15. Overall, I was disappointed. The place looked so cool, artsy and unique but was another tourist trap with subpar food and drinks.

Yelp
Not sure what the hype is about. Been here a few times over several years of coming here for work and the service is consistently terrible. Order a drink, asked if it was spicy, server told me no, yet it came out spicy and we talked about it and he just sat and stared at me. He left and came back and said the bartender made it spicy and still didn't offer to fix it. I order queso fundido and queso was brought out. It was fine decided to eat it. Server came back to check on us and looked at my phone I had open my last review, and said oh your looking at reviews. I explained to him I ordered queso fundido and was showing my partner the picture and what he brought rad wrong and just continued to explain the difference and didn't offer to bring what we ordered. There is a dj outside where we sat, we love the music vibe but I think it hinders communication with our server.

Dianne S.

Yelp
Salty, loud and crappy. Two parties, sitting at same table so the waitress adds a gratuity of $15 for each party of 4. and added that we can tip more if we want to. Really?! Couldn't find her most of the time and had to hunt her down for the check. Over $90 for each party, and we each (party) had two adult and two kids meals. How does that compute to $90 each?! She wasn't worth $5 nor the food! I always wanted to go there now I'm sorry I did.

Yelp
Been to this location several times this place is a must visit if you're in San Antonio. They serve great authentic Mexican food, fresh handmade tortillas and chips. Everything on this menu rocks. The service is always on point. I love how everybody here is always so friendly and attentive beautiful views of the Riverwalk Pearl brewery District while you're sipping on a cold beer and enjoying some delicious tacos or queso. Make sure you give this place a shot. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Great, authentic food from Mexico -- some of the best I have ever had, and that is saying something since I have made Laredo my home for 52 years, and Laredo has the best Mexican food in Texas. I had the pollo con mole from Oaxaca. The mole was excellent, a bit sweet at first taste but then so subtly spicy that I was soon wiping sweat from my brow. My wife had the adobe carne tacos, and they were great too (she shared). We plan to come here again when we are in San Antonio. BTW: It is located next to the Pearl Brewery complex.

Yelp
My bf and I ate here tonight for the first time. The salsa was good but different and the chips were great. Our first drinks took forever to make but when we finally got them they were delicious we had a cucumber la Fresca and a frozen drink with rum in it can't find what it was called but those were both great. Then idk what happened but our second drinks were awful tasted just like pure alcohol. Then our appetizer came out and it was great we had queso fundido. Our waitress hardly waited on us at all. She was never around so other waitresses had to help us and the drinks took like 20 minutes to make both times. My boyfriend ordered mini tacos with Al pastor and it has pineapple in it. He didn't like them at all. I had some enchiladas that were pretty good nothing to rave about. Their rice and beans were delicious and so were their tortillas but we won't be back. We just went to San Antonio today for the San Antonio Art Museum and wanted to try something new but we were sadly very disappointed.

Yelp
I haven't eaten at La Gloria in a while, but I did visit it again last weekend when I was in the area. La Gloria is one of those places that are just so Texan, so San Antonio. I probably take places like this a little for granted, but it's definitely worth a visit. Why? The property is pretty incredible. Unless it's a really horrible day (too hot for you, too cold for you, or raining), you absolutely must sit outside. Gravel under your feet, tables overlooking the river, ping pong tables, shade from the live oak trees, an outdoor bar...it's a place that's made for a pretty day outside. Last weekend, it was a little hot for me (already in April, typical for Texas), so I was called to La Gloria, to enjoy a frozen margarita at one of the tables facing the river. And it was exactly where I wanted to spend a hot day with a cold drink. So whether you live in San Antonio or are just visiting, remember that La Gloria has this great patio for a pretty day!

Yelp
This was a place my brother and I stopped to eat at while visiting San Antonio. This was an amazing place. The food was fantastic. The chips and salsa were refreshingly delicious. The service was fast and friendly. They had inside dining and outside but it was very spacious and clean in here. Also, the bathrooms were really clean. Not sure if I will ever be back in San Antonio, but if I do, I'm stopping here!

Yelp
Great happy hour margaritas! Fun outdoor patio with holiday lighting in Pearl. Must be a popular spot with warmer weather.

Yelp
Our server was friendly, but very slow. When our food arrived, she took our appetizer plates, and I was definitely not finished with what I had on my plate. The same thing happened with my drink, another server came and took the "empty" glasses, but my drink was certainly not finished and she took it away. We also waited over 10-15 minutes after our table was cleared before we had to ask for our checks, when she should have just realized everything was gone and brought them. They also don't tell you that if you have a group of 6+, 20% gratuity is included in your bill. My three little things below cost over $40, which in my opinion is extremely overpriced for what I received. Paloma 7/10 This tasted very much like a plain lime margarita on the rocks, not very grapefruity at all. It was happy hour when we ordered, but we definitely did not get charged happy hour prices. Queso and guac were very good. Bistec especial 7/10 The only difference between this and the regular bistec tacos is the cheese. It was good, there was a lot of meat on these tiny little 3" shells. I just wish there was more flavors to it, it's so plain. Little bit of lettuce or some type of sauce or crema would just take it to the next level of flavor. I also think an option to pick 3 different tacos would be fantastic and super popular. Elote 4/10 Definitely not even close to elote. My corn was sitting in a TON of corn juice/water, like when you heat up corn in a boiling pot of water on the stove (see photos). On top was a dollop of mayo and ton of cotija. When I mixed the mayo in, it basically dissolved in the water (that I didn't realize was so watery because the cheese covered it, but by that time it was way too late)... Disgusting. It was like just eating plain sweet corn out of a can. Not even close to elote AT ALL. The amount of corns was nice though. But they really need to serve this not in corn juice/water, and just some sautéed or grilled corn and all the other ingredients. Would not order this again here.

Yelp
First time in Texas having Tex-mex did drinks and appetizers to start the night on the Riverwalk. Friendly staff didn't have main dishes but if they are as good as appetizers and drinks would recommend.

Yelp
A solid option for Mexican cuisine that is not too fancy but not too casual. It is usually pretty busy but we often show up just after opening and have no problem getting seated right away, even on the weekends. There is seating indoors and ample seating outdoors. The outdoor area is super cute as it overlooks the riverwalk and there are cute lights at night. Our favorite is the veracruzano ceviche. The fish is always very fresh and it has the perfect amount of salt vs citrus/lime flavor without leaning too heavily to each side. We once got the olive ceviche and it has very strong olive flavors so I would not recommend it unless you really enjoy olives. The tacos are the smaller street taco size and the combo has some delicious fluffy rice and beans. The bistec especial is good but has A LOT of cheese, fair warning. The fish tacos are awesome. The tostadas, tortas, and quesadilla are all very good. The maragaritas are strong but very tasty. I especially enjoy the mangonada that comes with a tasty Tamarindo straw. You can't go wrong when choosing to dine at La Gloria!

Yelp
It's nestled in the historic Pearl area of San Antonio. After needing a proper Mexican dish while in San Antonio we decided to give La Gloria's restaurant a try. There was a lot to order on the menu but I needed to stay away from pork and pork by products so I I asked the question that they usually don't expect. Are your refried black beans cooked with lard? Well I'll save you some time and let you know that you are safe to eat then because they DO NOT contain lard. I ordered the Chili con queso enchiladas and they sustained me the entire day. It was a heavy meal but I loved the presentation and the seasoning was just right. My friends ordered the enchiladas verdes and they sustained me bistec tacos. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and the portions were just right and we even took some home. The chips and salsa are what you are going to want to start off with. I skipped the queso because I mean enchiladas.... So I did t get anything special to drink but they had some options. If you are looking for the virgin daiquiris they can make the mangonada or pina colada. I did not safe room for dessert but the flan sounded like what I would have tried with a side of tres leches. Well ok yeah those are the desserts they have. The customer service was great and from I heard the chef is amazing. I concur.

Yelp
Great spot if you like eating outdoors. Lots of shade and right by the water. It has a simple well lit interior as well as a first come first serve bar. I hear this place will only be around for a a few more years to make way for more apartment buildings so enjoy it while you can.

Yelp
We're visiting from Seattle to San Antonio TX and had a dinner at LA Gloria on Sat around 5pm. There is a pay parking but full. But we found free street parking near by the restaurant. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were seated at a table. Inside the restaurant is a colorful and outdoor patio area available but we sat inside w 6 ppl as it was a cold day. We ordered 3 different of Margaritas and everyone choose Tacos. Mango Margarita is a easy drink and love it. I liked Torre de Mariscos w corn chips. I wanted more flavor to Al Pastor Tacos. I would like to come again

Yelp
I love the outside setup and open concept at this location. It's clean, bright, and has a nice family vibe. The service was quick and my waiter even suggested other items on the menu that were tasty. My only gripe is the portion size! I need atleast 5 of these lil tacos to make a grown man feel good. While the food was tasty the portion size could be better. I'll let you judge.

Great place! Love all the art outside for selfie pictures. Indoor and outdoor dining options big plus. The meals were great, decent pricing, service excellent. I will be back. (Arnold reference LOL).

Yelp

Yelp
LA Gloria, is no glory. Read or lose your money and appetite. I believe this is one of the worst places we've ever eaten during our many visits to San Antonio. The menu is not like a regular restaurant menu. It's extremely limited. Because we couldn't find any that sounded halfway decent we decided to play it safe and order a chicken quesadilla. Oh Molly, how can anyone screw up a quesadilla. Well at La Gloria they mentioned to screw that up. The chicken quesadilla had burnt bacon and was served on a burnt tortilla. The bacon was so burnt I thought it was toasted potato skins. Because we were there celebrating my grandson's Air Force graduation we kept quiet and just removed the burnt bacon. But when we took the first bite of the quesadilla that was it. My husband who never ever complains at restaurants, he told the waitress take these plates away we can't eat this. It's horrible. Instead of the waitress being concerned or offering something else she made faces and took the plates away. Never offered a refund. Afterwards the waitress service was terrible. We were a family of 10. Out of the 10 members only 3 were ok with their food. Maybe because they were smart, 2 just ordered salads and 1 an appetizer. If you plan to eat at this place order appetizers or order one plate and share the meal so that you can taste it. If you want a real Texmex meal go to Pete's Tacos. It's close by La Gloria. The ambience at Pete's is not something to rave about but the food is what matters. Especially the fideo Loca. After leaving La Gloria, my granddaughter mentioned the waitress told them she prefers to go eat else where. Go figure. I wish she had told us that too.

Yelp
What a hidden gem!! (Not really hidden, a bunch of people go here but it's kind of hidden behind the parking lot) La Gloria's is phenomenal. A lot of fresh dishes, like made in house food. Fresh chips, salsa, tortillas and more. Incredible food and I believe good prices. Definitely stop here next time you're at the pearl. Food came out extremely fast and stayed hot. Casual set up but high end food.

Yelp
So this my first time here it is very nice with a great outside patio overlook the river. It's very relaxing and peaceful. Service is great the lady was able to help me choose what I wanted. The bistek tacos were just great very delicious and the corn yum everything that I got was really good.

Rosa J.

Yelp
Subpar food, terrible service. Girl had an attitude and did not give a single smile. I felt uncomfortable asking questions about the menu. Not a great place for families.

Yelp
I love La Gloria at the Pearl :) The ambiance is always so nice and the weather was great so we sat outside. These tacos contained slow roasted pork in citrus juices, achiote and chiles topped with red pickled onions. To be honest, I usually don't go for pork but for some reason these tacos were calling my name. No regrets. Each bite had a little tang to it because of the pickled onions and the homemade corn tortilla was super sturdy and thick. We hate a skimpy little tortilla that rips on the first bite. The elote was creamy, buttery, and full of flavor. I will never pass up an opportunity to eat corn. Overall 10/10 meal, 10/10 restaurant. ‍

Yelp
We got here around 5:30 pm on a Friday evening and there was no wait. I parked on the street since it looks like their parking lot is $10 during that time. The paid street parking ended at 6, so I only paid $1.50. It looks like the street parking is free after those hours. We sat inside and were sat immediately. Our waitress was super fast and friendly. My wife and I both got pina coladas which were divine. We like them strong so it was perfect for us. I got the Tejanas enchiladas and my wife got the chili con carne enchiladas. And of course we had the chips and queso. Everything was delicious! I also like the decorations inside and outside the restaurant. It has a good vibe. Also, some people were dressed up, but other people were dressed casually like us so it's just whatever you feel comfortable in. :)

Yelp
Great place to bring friends out of town to introduce them to Tex-Mex! We came here after walking around the pearls farmers market. My friend is vegetarian and I'm happy she was able enjoy the food here because they had many options for her. I also really enjoyed the food and drinks. My favorite was the queso fundido with the flour tortillas. The enchiladas verdes were also really good! The waiter was really nice and brought the food out fast. It's nice to sit in the patio because they have heaters when it's cold.

Yelp
Here you go Tex-Mex. It is really hard to get Tex-mex in San Antonio. Finally, I landed the decent one. What a rainy night in town and the food is sweet & yummy. I usually not post my plate but this one is worth to post it. Servers are cheerful & seemed to be like either Latinos ( Texans) or actually from Mexico which is my hostess does have strong Mexican accent. This is even Southern Texas, you'd surprised how much German towns and German culture dominated in the cities and surrounding area. This is the closest Tex- Mex I got in town. Well, at least I ain't need to drive up to Austin to get it :)

Yelp
Lovely Saturday lunch outdoors. No wait, service was prompt and attentive, food was good. Tried the carnitas torta for the first time and it was solid, very happy with the choice. Only deduction was menu prices are too steep IMO. La Gloria's still got it!

Yelp
We enjoyed a hot day inside La Gloria sipping on their house margs to cool off! Quesadillas come packed with flavor and are an inexpensive choice to snack on. Only con is the limited parking but we found a spot, no problem. Will visit again!

Yelp
The food was excellent. Thought all the flavors were spot on and enjoyable. Service was slow. Enjoyed the atmosphere of eating outside. Margaritas were incredible. My rating is closer to 3.5. I would eat here again if in San Antonio

Yelp
Dependable as always. Food and service were good. The bakery never disappoints. I have been going here for well over 30 years. A must visit when in town.

Yelp
Good Tex mex food at the pearl! My go to's are: *queso fundido with flour tortillas (you have to get it) *bistec especial *dorados verde And of course...the margaritas! Everyone's favorite! I recommend the prickly pear either frozen or on the rocks! Overall, I've had good experiences here!

Yelp
This place hit the spot, came here for lunch and service was quick and the food was tasty. We let the waitress know we were in a bit of a hurry she was able to grab our drinks and food quickly. The tacos were decent, I think I will go with chicken next time. The steak tacos had good and bad pieces of steak. The elote could have used a bit more flavor, but it was good. The chips and salsa were fire.

Yelp
8 years later and La Gloria is still a fave spot of mine whenever I'm back in town. Their margaritas literally have a magic spell on me and they know how to make some of the best in the game. During the Spring/Summer months, you have to take full advantage of their gorgeous outdoor space right along the museum section of the Riverwalk. All this time and i still can't get enough of their al pastor tacos and menu. Their menu has a mix of TexMex favorites and Mexico style dishes. Everytime I have gone the service has always been friendly. It's pretty easy to have someone check in on you.

Yelp
A fun spot for Tex-Mex! We loved the outdoor vibe of this restaurant and stopped here after the Pearl farmers market! We ordered the al pastor and bistec tacos. The Al pastor tacos were very good and fresh! However we did not like the bistec as we felt it was too gamey and didn't finish them. The chips and salsa were good (salsa a bit spicy). My friends ordered margaritas which they really liked as well! Our server was very kind and we felt the food came out in a decent amount of time. Overall, would stop in again with friends but just order something different!
