"The coolest corner on Av. Revolución boasts a tacos a vapor stand from the iconic La Especial, the stylish Hotel Lafayette, and chef Javier Caro’s hotspot for dreamy cocktails in addition to burgers, pizza, and American gastropub fare transposed by Baja California ingredients. Think cochinita pibil sliders, grilled octopus burgers, and pork belly pizzas with cilantro pesto paired with complex drinks like the La Justina, a tequila-based drink with citrus, cinnamon, and dark beer. The cocktails alone can punctuate the end of an exciting day in Tijuana, especially if you’re staying upstairs at the Lafayette." - Bill Esparza

"La Justina first established itself as a Zona Centro gastropub with a rustic feel, surf and turf food options, and drinks made with edible flowers like lavender. Its owners have since expanded with a new venture in the Valle de Guadalupe, where a restaurant and vineyard with the same vibe is now open to the public." - Roxana Becerril

I’ve been here twice now. I think about this place often. I would say at least once a month if not more I tell my wife I want to eat at La Justina. Problem is we live in Vegas Smaller cocktail menu but all perfect. Looks like they can customize drinks for you as well. Maybe I’ll try that tonight 🤣. I’ve only had their tostadas but both are delicious. I do want to try more of their food menu as well. Just overall excellent place for a nightcap!

Google
We came here for Cocktails unfortunately not for the food. It looked delicious though. And I might come back for the food. The cocktails were very well prepared, strong, and tasty. I would recommend it to anyone. The atmosphere is also a great evening vibe.

Google
Just as good today as our first visit years ago! Quality ingredients and flavor, great service and good vibe!

Google
Great atmosphere. Amazing cocktails. They take pride in their mixology. I specially enjoy their Maria Antonieta drink. You get a little fresh lavender that fills your nose with every sip. Ah!🤗 I think I’ve had everything in their menu(food wise) never disappoints. I recommend the Tiradito.

Google
I had been looking forward to try this restaurant for a while. It was mostly the picture perfect drinks that enticed me but the food is what will make me return. We tried almost everything on the menu! To start we all shared tostadas de pozole, sliders of cochinita pibil and tiradito de atun. It was all delicious but the tostadas were a wonderful surprise. Super flavorful and has all the flavors that reminds you of your grandmother’s pozole. We continued with pork belly pizza, bone marrow, tacos de lengua and the salmon. So much food but we just had to try all these dishes and even after trying a bite of everything, the tostadas were still my (and everyone else’s) favorite. A must try! The drinks were pretty, flavorful and strong, already knew that. The service is impeccable, I thoroughly enjoy when servers know the menu and can make knowledgeable recommendations. I definitely would return and recommend!

Revolución ave Is changing and it's thanks to places like La Justina. I enjoyed the decor, liked the small but comfortable space and best of all I loved the Food and Drinks. I had possible the best every Old fashion drink ever. Can't wait to come back and new items on the menu.

Google
A very unique & uber trendy place, delicious & yet sophisticated. The service is immaculate and the drinks are a unique mixture of traditional and modern tastes. I highly recommend La Justina if you're looking for a culinary adventure this is the perfect place!

The food and drinks are so good

Yelp
Delicious margarita! Prior to enjoying a yummy margarita in a nice quiet outdoor spot earlier this year, I'd never been to Tijuana. I was recommended to swing by here on a road trip by a former triathlon teammate. Easy to park up on the US side and walk across the border to savor a salty margarita in MX. Fun! Very friendly service here, too. Highly recommend!

Jessica M.

Yelp
Didn't expect the decor to be so nice. It was cute just very little. I wanted to try a couple dishes but was informed that they were out of octopus which bummed us out. They were also out of the Tuna we wanted. Regardless, everything we had was delicious. Four of us ate and drank for about $100

Yelp
Located on the main drag of Avenida Revolución in Tijuana, La Justina is a modern bar and restaurant offering a creative gastropub take on local dishes. Each table was started with a bag of seasoned popcorn, and sitting at the bar, I ordered the Hamburguesa de Pulpo (octopus burger), which came with several whole octopus tentacles nestled into a thick brioche bun, along with guacamole, pork rinds, and greens. Since this was a "burger," I was expecting more of a ground meat patty made of octopus but was pleasantly surprised that it came with whole tentacles! This was definitely a luxurious "burger" and well worth the price. On top of the delicious, creative food, the service was super friendly, and the atmosphere was colorful and modern.

Yelp
Wow! What an entertaining cocktail experience! SUGGESTION: Come on a weekday so it's not busy, then sit at the amazing bar. We watched Jean Pierre work his cocktail magic. He did a wonderful job entertaining us! He is so passionate on the art of making cocktails. It's obvious he's extremely knowledgeable about his craft. We asked for specific requests based on flavor and aroma, and he customized our requests! I had a Smoked Old Fashioned w/ a dried orange, topped with mint. Jean Pierre burned some cherry wood, and filled the smoke in a jar. Then he poured the mixed cocktail into the jar. The smoke, along with the orange and mint gave a whole other experience drinking an Old Fashioned! We also had garlic-salted grasshoppers at the bar. The inside is decorated with a cool and hip vibe. We only sat at the bar, but at the rear has more dining area. They also have a pizza oven, but we didn't order any food, so cannot comment on that. The bar countertop is coated in a cool epoxy-resin covered with pennies! Way cool! The funky restroom in the back is walled with floor-to-ceiling mirrors! Entertaining experience at the bar with craft cocktails. I totally recommend when in Tijuana!

Yelp
Visited La Justina in el Valle. Note had already been to La Justina at La Revolucion twice, therefore, I was looking forward to order some of the same items such as the esquites and the cooked beets. However, the esquites did not taste right. It's as if they didn't even cook the corn with epazote...and it was mixed with mayo, butter and some tajin powder. The beets were gross, they were not baked but caramelized with this weird cream. It just tasted off. I think La Justina at el Valle are cutting corners. They don't understand that most of their visitors are looking for quality and good taste. The drinks had no alcohol or I could not taste it. My boyfriend's mojito tasted like lemonade. His salad was simply that, lettuce and a bit of dressing (no care) The worst part of the experience at La Justina at el Valle was getting the bill and knowing that we were overcharged. We paid over $35 more than what we ordered. I just wanted to get out of there as fast as I realized this place is just cutting corners. Listen, you work hard and the drive to La Justina El Valle is a distance, save your hard earned money and try something else....and be forewarned. The two stars are for the location and the DJ who was playing some great tunes.

Yelp
I was excited to visit this reknowned spot in TJ. It was Monday so very slow and we were up for an appointment. The service was very attentive, it was quiet but I'm sure on weekend it would be much more lively. Cantina style decor with some cool nightclub features, mirrored bathroom etc. Food was quite inventive - I really would like to visit again or go to the Valle location because unfortunately one of the dishes didn't sit well and I couldn't enjoy the rest. Tuna tataki - delicious but a little cold. Fine line between fish being out too long and too cold for proper enjoyment. Great presentation, nice flavors. Corn with Epazote and cheese sauce - kinda like Mac and cheese with hominy. This was the problem. It was good, spicy, but something in the sauce was too heavy for me and ruined my appetite :( Cochinita Pibil sliders were yummy. Duck confit tostada - what a presentation! Came in a challis, crunchy pea shoots, berries, duck, sauces - all different flavors that really came together well. Cocktails - I had an albahaca (mezcal and basil) and another drink with Sandia (watermelon) and both vodka and mezcal. Both were delish, but light on alcohol. Two drinks would normally have me buzzed and I didn't feel them. It's definitely a splurge for a TJ neighborhood in terms of prices but I think it's worth it for the effort they clearly put in. I'd like to amend the stars in next visit and hope to do so!

Yelp
The place is quite small, and it can get pretty hot during the summer. While I wasn't impressed with the food, they do offer some decent drinks.

Abe E.

Yelp
We were looking to refresh our palette after wine tasing and found this gem! The drinks were custom and boutique for sure. The servers were on pint and quick to suggest and quench or cravings. The restaurant is new and the scenery is unforgettable.

Chris M.

Yelp
Wonderful cocktails, bites and service here Wednesday afternoon. Me and my partner were looking up and down Revolución for a mid Afternoon snack and I had remembered this place from a video review I watched some weeks ago. It hit the spot. And they were playing some great music in there. Good vibe l, cool spot, definitely check out if you are looking for craft cocktails in the area.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Amazing cocktails! Definitely trendier, hipsterish and a cool place to hang out. We ate at Caesars before this and wanted to come for drinks. Ended up getting the octopus carpaccio. It was so good. Just the way I like it. My friend got the corn dish, she didn't like it. Then we got 2 cocktails each, the first my Mexican friend ordered us something in Spanish with mezcal and taste like some tamarind too. Had no idea but it was good. Second cocktail, basically the bartender made whatever he wanted and it was like a tiki drink. Really enjoyed that too. Came in a cute fish glass. Reminded me of a tiki bar. The other cocktails were theatrical with smoke, and tasted just as good as it looks. A tad bit pricier for the strip on food and drinks, but a must visit!

Yelp
This is my favorite casual eating place in TJ...too bad it was stop #3 and we had already consumed so much food and drink . next time i will start here. food is fabulous. drinks are fabulous... its casual but very upscale.

Heidy A.

Yelp
Great environment and great food. This was the perfect stop after a day of wine tasting to get us in the celebration mood. Make reservations ahead of time if you can.

Kathy N.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to try this restaurant located right in downtown Tijuana. The place is very small with limited seating but gives you a cozy vibe. We order some drinks and waited for a few minutes before getting a table inside. The mezcal drinks we got were super tasty! As we sat down inside, we started to order a refreshing salad for appetizer. We got tacos de lengua and seared salmon for the main entrees. I love it that they gave me descriptions about each dish when they brought it out like the way how it was cooked and what was for garnish... etc My beef tongue was so tender and flavorful. The salmon was also delicious, not to mention how beautifully plated all the dishes are. The service was the best. They kept coming to our table and check on us and made sure I had enough tortilla to eat. Overall it was a great experience. I'd love to come back to eat more next time. Thanks!

Ashley P.

Yelp
One of my fav places to eat and have a drink when I'm down in Tijuana! They have specialty drinks and tons of food that are all so aesthetic and yummy! Their seafood is so fresh and I love the uniqueness of their menu items. The customer service is top notch as well! They definitely made sure we all had an amazing experience and nothing less.

Mar B.

Yelp
Food is good, drinks are good, definitely not "TJ prices" at all. The servers are not bad, and the bar looks nice. My main gripe is that the place is super small and crammed inside. The back space is also tiny and there are no windows or views. I feel for being expensive, the interior experience should be improved. Some reviewers are posting photos of the Valle location (incorrectly) on this downtown location. So yes visit just be ready to be unimpressed with the interior.

Jimmy T.

Yelp
The food was amazing! Service was great! The vibes are phenomenal !! You must visit this spot if you are in Tijuana

Amanda L.

Yelp
Amazing Tamarindo Margaritas! The views are amazing and it's such a fun place to take pictures! Photo opportunities everywhere. Their raw seafood bar is fresh and they make everything right in front of you! Oysters were a must try! They have a variety of options to choose from, which makes this place even better. Would love to go back! They were out of a few items, so people in our party were disappointed, but overall, everyone was very pleased!

Mel M.

Yelp
My first time back to La Justina post Covid and man am I glad to be back in TJ! Prices have increased slightly, but the drinks and food are delicious as I remember them to be. I had four amazing cocktails (Labios Rojos & Albacha) and the braised lamb tacos- so damn good! The service was excellent and the check came out at $54 for a meal that would cost nearly twice as much in SD. If you're down on Revolution and want a great meal, look no further than La Justina!

Paul R.

Yelp
A true gem - I stop here every time I'm in Tijuana. You can tell the owner is a top chef by the quality and variety on the menu, including the specialty cocktails. Look at the pictures by others on Yelp - you'll see! My favorite is the smoked old fashioned. Even if you're heading down south, would highly recommend stopping by on the way down (or up).

Duan D.

Yelp
Have you ever wanted to eat at a five star Michelin rated restaurant but didn't want to post for exorbitant prices and meager portions? We'll look no further eaters!! Found nestled in Revolucíon Street in TJ La Justina is a gem. The food is a combination of traditional Mexican fare but with a modern twist. We ordered a smattering of foods from blue fin tuna sashimi, bone marrow along with beef tongue. Everything was delicious the tongue words can't describe how incredible it was. If you didn't tell someone that it was tongue they would never know and only savor how incredibly soft it was. I know it's cliche to say that it melts in your mouth but it really does. The marrow was cut down the middle so you didn't have to fight it to get all that goodness out of it. It was sprinkled with a bit of sugar and was melted with a torch so you got this crunchy sweet compliment to the rich savory flavor of the marrow. The blue fin tuna was fresh and oh so delicious. It came with this tube of soy sauce and oil that you drizzle over the fish so it was pretty neat to put in as much or as little as you want. Staff is super friendly and sanitizing was truly impressive better than stateside. Totally price off the meal for five adults with drinks worked out to approximately $40/person with tip included. Can't beat it, can't beat the atmosphere and the hospitality of the staff. Highly recommend!

James P.

Yelp
Great food and even better service. Reasonably priced. Gordon Ramsey has eaten there and there is a plaque on the wall with his picture.

michelle s.

Yelp
Couldn't remember to get drink pics but who is this year this is about my third time keep on trying to give it a chance food was meh, I think the popcorn was the best thing about it brings her OK could've had better cute bathroom pics

Heihachiro K.

Yelp
This place is awesome! They literally set every drink and food on fire and smoke it out. Delicious and definitely interesting. We came in here for a nightcap, had some fancy drinks and split an octopus carpaccio. I was instantly jealous of the other patrons since they were enjoying the full menu! I'm definitely coming back for the full experience.

Dung N.

Yelp
My hubby showed me a post from his friend about tacos in TJ and asked if I wanted to cross the border to get some, so I said sure! I actually wanted to check this place out instead, so he agreed. They weren't taking any reservations, so there was a small wait. While we were waiting, I saw several parties go inside the restaurant, so they probably have connections or something. I was happy to be dining inside! We shared the torta cochinita, tiradito atun aleta, tuetano, and tostada Dona Francis. Everything was delicious and presented beautifully. For drinks, I chose a limonada Justina, and he got the mezcal clandestino, and a carajillo. Although my drink had no alcohol, it still looked as pretty as both his cocktails. All the drinks tasted great too! We ordered two churros desserts, but didn't realize how big they were going to be. I was expecting the regular soft churro stick, but this dessert had vanilla ice cream on top of a hard circular shaped churro. There was also some apple compote, which made it taste more like an apple pie a la mode- still tasted great though. Service was also efficient. Highly recommend this eatery if you decide to take a day trip to TJ!

Tyson C.

Yelp
The drinks here are incredible. Super craft cocktails at a honest price. The interior of this place is really cool. From what I understand, this place has nothing to do with the hotel above called Hotel Boutique Lafayette. They also have the oldest taco shop in TJ right next door. The staff at La Justina are really nice and are very talented in making amazing cocktails. If you are lucky enough, try to sit at the bar and watch the talented bar tenders work their magic.

Sharona M.

Yelp
My favorite place in TJ thus far. They have impeccable food and cocktails. I love that one of the cocktail options, Bartender's Choice Premium, allows you to just say what liquor you want, and the bartender creates a unique drink from scratch. This was really special and fun. They also bring you some yummy popcorn to munch on with your beverages. I tried the Tostada de Pato Confit and it was so delicious! Also, The presentation of the food is also next level. The Tartar de Atún is absolutely my favorite here. It is so delicious and really stood out to me in my visit here. The steamed buns are a great tasty appetizer as well. I highly recommend the churro dessert, it hits the spot after your main dishes. Also, the inside of the restaurant is so cool! Especially those cool lights around the restroom. 5 stars all around.

Jose C.

Yelp
Very polite and attentive waiters. The drinks are tasty and cold. If you order a beer, they serve it with a cold glass. If you order a mixed drink, it's iced and well presented. You are seated on a patio with views of vineyards as they play contemporary music.

Cecy C.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Tijuana for small bites and drinks! The service is great and worth the wait if there is one.

Amber W.

Yelp
Was visiting for a couple days and the restaurant is nice on the inside and I had some very good food. Didnt know what I was eating until a few hours later and it was octopus! My very first time eating it. Didnt even know it because it was so fresh and delicious

Adam D.

Yelp
Great spot for cocktails and craft bottled beer. They also have a delicious food menu. I can only speak for the tuna tartare, the roasted vegetable salad and the esquites but everything was great. My friends were very happy with their pork sticky buns and lamb tacos. The ambiance has a chill vibe and is a great spot for a date. The carajillo was one of the best I've had. No draft beer despite the presence of taps. Street parking only.

Tito M.

Yelp
Amazing food and great drinks Pair better with good Service... That is why I give 3 stars This gem on Tijuana has the potential and the ambience to have good time and visit over and over We sit at the bar to taste several drinks But the bartender was Colder than a beer in the fridge not friendly at all That's the wrong way to experience Tijuana

shelley p.

Yelp
Omg amazing. Cross border by foot and take an $8 taxi directly to La Justina! We got mezcal shots, they came w roasted critters! Lol. Such a perfect Mexican experience. I highly recommend the kale & cheeses pizza, it's like 3 cheeses

Jose T.

Yelp
made a reservation for 1pm for 3 people. arrived promptly on time. the staff asked us to wait 10 mins as they weren't ready for us. upon sitting down tlalcoyote our drink order and and asked us to wait before placing food order. shortly after the waiter comes back letting us know that one of our drinks wasn't not available. we asked for our replacement which never arrived. one hour later, no food order and 2 drinks. We asked for the bill and to speak to the manager who did not even care that our experience awful. I'm disappointed as I had been to valle de Guadalupe a few times and I had been looking forward having great drinks and enjoying this experience. I will not recommend this to anyone.

Jane R.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our dinner here. The staff was very attentive, the food was delicious, the service was great and the bartender was talented and a lot of fun! Would definitely go back.

Elizabeth Y.

Yelp
Great restaurant and bar on a busy street in Tijuana! Very nicely decorated with holiday lights and Xmas tree. We enjoyed the lengua beef tongue tacos with fresh tortillas. The pineapple cocktail comes out in a coconut cup and a dance smoke presentation. The bone marrow was delicious too! Highly recommend!

Scott E.

Yelp
Our favorite restaurant in Tijuana. Super creative with excellent food and cocktails. The lengua tacos are the best I've ever had; a heaping serving of well seasoned, tender meat, with fresh hot tortillas. Jean-Pierre was our bartender both nights (we came back for drinks again the next evening). He created several cocktails for us right on the spot, which were perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. The menu is creative, and on the leading edge of the hipster-Baja new cuisine. Don't miss the Smoked Old Fashioned.

James V.

Yelp
Fabulous spot on Revolucion! First off, great ambiance: the interior feels warm and cozy. As you see from the pics, there's also unique decor and artwork. Very hip. The service has always been very attentive and friendly. The menu has variety but is still focused and not overwhelming. I haven't had the chance to try their food yet, though it always looks wonderful. I will say that their drinks are outstanding - all of them are unique, flavorful and balanced. Definitely warrants a stop whenever you're in the area.

Saleen D.

Yelp
We were in TJ looking for a place to drink & we stumbled upon La Justina on Yelp. Their cocktails looked so good & I was loving the vibes so we Uber'd over. Customer service was so friendly! My Spanish is wack but our servers were so kind & helped me navigate the menu & find exactly what I wanted. Cocktails are strong & sweet & inexpensive! The vibes are like North/South Park, hipster & chill. They give complimentary popcorn which was so delicious, I asked for seconds!

Martin M.

Yelp
Great food great ambience enjoyed the drinks and the service. Would definitely recommend in your in TJ

Shane W.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in for drinks and appetizers during our trip across the border. This place is serving amazing cocktails and great food all for a great price. Wow, we were blown away by the food. Every bite had soooo much flavor and the presentation was great. Revolution Street has come a long ways with restaurants like La Justina!

Robert R.

Yelp
Incredible. The drinks, the food. Wow. Fabuloso! Ceviche de pulpo y atún was effing off-the-charts! I'll be back to try the tostadas 4-sho. Really, an experience.

Naomi C.

Yelp
We ate here with as a group of 8 and come to El Valle 3 times a year from San Diego. This restaurant is definitely not a place you want to bring your elderly mom. The music was crazy loud (although the DJ was awesome) and it was freezing because it's all outside. They need more heaters and blankets. Our waiter was super accommodating and very good. The drinks and fries were pretty good but the pizzas were terrible. Probably the worst pizzas I've ever had. My husband had quail and liked it. Make a reservation and prepare to feel like you're in a club at 7 pm.

Dayra M.

Yelp

Alex H.

Yelp
Always wanted to visit la justina . But to be honest the menue is so small and to expensive We orderd the steam Bum just to check out how good they are but we waited 45 min . And they are not bad . So we ware going to order more stuff but we didn't the whole waiting did kill my appetite.. So they also charged 75cents for the mayonnaise that we orderd for our fries. Really ?? Nahhh there better places in tj . Bye

Jorge S.

Yelp
Came in here for late dinner &. We had an amazing time. We had like 3 rounds of drinks & all the food was Amazing, they do specialize in octopus so definitely have to be a fan of octopus. They're really big on their drinks so I would recommend giving them a few tries on their drinks

Manny D.

Yelp
This bar is very trendy and has amazing drinks. This is a good pitstop while in the revolution street. I didn't try the food but everything that was coming out smelled amazing and looked even better.

David B.

Yelp
Ah La Justina, the swanky dive restaurant on Revolucion. I had been there several times before my last visit, but finally had time for a review. When you arrive they give you chile popcorn on the house. This trip I got 3 items. The 1st was a cocktail - bartender's choice. They are known for their drinks. I chose mescal with spicy as my hint for the bartender. The drink came out in spectacular fashion. He lifted up a box and a bunch of smoke came out of to introduce the drink. The drink was decorated with berries and flowers. The only setback was there was hardly any alcohol in it. I then ordered the tongue tacos. This was a home run. The tongue was succulent. The tortillas were fresh. When combined with their salsa and lime, it was a perfect combination. Lastly I got the tuna tartare. It was served tostada style and had great flavor. The only slight problem was it had to much mayonnaise. I might avoid this dish in the future. All and all a decent experience. I would make sure you tell the bartender for a strong drink. I will be back!

Not'Jordan S.

Yelp
What a blast! Beautiful vibe, we suggest the on-sight Airbnb. Food well prepared and was delicious

Omar R.

Yelp
