The Best Restaurants in Galveston, Texas | Eater Houston

"Candy can absolutely count as a meal, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself filling up on La King’s saltwater taffy or pecan logs. This old-fashioned candy shop has been around for nearly 100 years, and there’s plenty of tradition still in play. Thick shakes and malts are served at the 1920s-era soda fountain, along with more than 20 flavors of ice cream and frozen yogurt, all made in-house. It can get crowded during holiday weekends, so come early to have your pick of the spread." - Brianna Griff

"Spend Time on the Strand in Galveston You'll hear people talk about doing things "on the Strand" in Galveston, which refers to a downtown historic district primarily situated on Strand Street. Begin exploring the area at 25th and Strand, visiting its shops, restaurants, galleries, and museums in lovely 19th-century buildings. Photo via Flickr user TravelingOtter"

I’ve been going here since I was a child. It’s one of my fondest memories. Hand made saltwater taffy😁 So good. Its decor is set as a Victorian style saloon. Authentic nostalgic for great photo op. A wide verity of candy and chocolate. Service is top notch. Even while very busy, servers try and help you. Needed to find a restaurant nearby that had vegetarian options and one of the servers looked it up for us. He was awesome and very sweet. I always have a great time here. It can be very busy, and customers can be annoying. But very worth going in and experiencing the candy making process.

A must visit when you are in galveston! It was so fun looking at everything. The customer service was top notch. Every employee was pleasant and engaging. I got fresh taffy that was made on the spot! Prices are decent as well!

Walking into La King’s Confectionery in Galveston is like stepping into a time machine—one that runs on sugar, smiles, and pure childhood joy. From the moment you hear the clink of old-fashioned soda shop glasses and smell that warm cloud of freshly made saltwater taffy, you know you’re in for something special. I’ve been coming to La King’s for years, and every visit feels like a sweet reunion. The place is brimming with vintage charm—glass jars full of colorful candy, antique signs, and that magical sound of taffy being pulled and cut right in front of your eyes. It’s part candy shop, part nostalgia museum, and part theater. Whether you're grabbing a handmade root beer float, picking out classic candies you forgot even existed, or watching the candy-makers whip up batches of fudge and taffy like edible magic, there’s something for everyone. Kids run around wide-eyed, and let’s be honest, the adults do too—we just hide it better. It’s not just a treat shop, it’s a Galveston tradition. So if you haven’t been in a while, do yourself a favor and stop by. Let the sugar rush and sweet memories carry you away. La King’s isn’t just a place—it’s a feeling.

Definitely recommend to check out while you're in the area. Be sure to be prepared to pay for parking using a credit/debit card but it was only $2.25 for an hour so that's a great price point. Neat location especially if you are in the area when the nearby cruise ships are docked. The selection of items is amazing to say the least. From fresh popped popcorn, gummies, hard & soft chewy candies, chocolates, fudge, saltwater taffy made fresh in store with free samples, shakes/malts, ice cream, and even some novelty items, and much much more, you'll easily drop $100 in one visit if you're like myself and live 4 hours away. Take some back home to share with your friends & family. Enjoy it that much but don't live nearby? They also offer shipping through their online website. The chocolate shake was pretty darn good, I must say. We chose so many different items though.

Heartbroken after years of loyalty and hundreds of recommendations… La King’s has been a personal favorite of mine for many years. Every time I bring friends or partners into Galveston, it’s at the top of my recommendation list. I work closely with the cruise industry, and I’ve personally recommended hundreds of my business partners and clients to visit La King’s while they’re in town. It’s always been a nostalgic, feel-good experience that I was proud to share. But today was different—and deeply disappointing. While one kind woman at the soda fountain gave me the kind of amazing service I’ve always appreciated here (I even gave her a heartfelt compliment), the man standing next to her at the coffee area rolled his eyes as I did. That moment honestly shattered the warmth I’ve always associated with this place. I’ve never felt so unwelcome here, and it truly broke my heart. I’m someone who respects and uplifts people in the service industry, because I understand how hard the job is. To feel brushed off and disrespected—especially somewhere I’ve supported for years and promoted constantly—was incredibly disheartening. We still got a fun mystery box, and the candy is as good as ever, but the experience left a bitter taste. Maybe everyone was having a bad day—but for someone who’s poured so much word-of-mouth love into this business, it felt like a slap in the face. I’m honestly not sure I’ll be returning. And sadly, I won’t be recommending it to my business partners anymore. I hate leaving a negative review, especially for a place that’s been a long-time staple in my life—but today’s experience truly hurt.

Went every day I was in town The ice cream by the scoop is very generous. Everything was delicious! Had a fabulous root beer float, a tremendous banana split and a terrific butterscotch sundae. The store is full of candy including chocolates, Taffy, and much more. The bathroom is also nice and open to the public which is rare in the area

Google
Honestly loved everything about this place. It has the nicest people you will find. The coffee is worth a drive to try. So good. I would have liked to see the candy making but I arrived at a later time but would be cool for kids to stop and watch. Service was exceptional.

Google
One of our favorite stops every time we are on Galveston Island! They offer everything from salt water taffy made in shop, the most delicious chocolates, ice cream, milkshakes, and a full coffee bar with many neat and sweet treats hidden within! A great place for a treat for kids as well as adults!

Yelp
Best ice cream! Service is mostly good, and sometimes very slow Can't beat the ambiance

Yelp
My first trip here was in 2012 when I was living in Galveston attending TAMUG. This old school candy shop and ice creamery is super cute and gives you all the vintage/antique vibes. My friends and I got the malts/milkshakes that taste super creamy, fresh, and ice cold. I recommend this place to anyone who visits Galveston and have gone back multiple times. Only drawbacks are the parking situation in the historic Strand area (not the best) and that since this place is both a local staple AND a tourist trap, expect a line during summer time and lots of people cramped inside (and happy screaming kids). Love this spot though!
google avatar

Troy S.

Yelp
The ambience itself is worth the trip inside. That old, tiny drugstore soda fountain kind of feel. They have a lot of candy and treats and gifts and coffee and ice cream. Very tourist so there's a bit of, but the service was decent.
google avatar

Cristina B.

Yelp
This place is always crowded/lively (because it's great)! They offer so much! Coffee, ice cream, candy, gifts/souvenirs.. etc..and its old town/quaint charm is undeniable! We stopped in for some ice cream after lunch and despite the crowd, the lines move quite quickly! Definitely recommend stopping by! Guaranteed you won't walk out empty handed!

Yelp
My family has a big sweet tooth so naturally, we had to find a dessert shop nearby after dinner. La King's Confectionery was an easy choice. It came highly recommended by locals, and it was only about 15 minutes away from where we had dinner. We found street parking and walked maybe a block. La King's is an old-fashioned soda fountain, ice cream parlor, candy store, and coffee shop. They make and serve Purity ice cream, which was Texas' first ice cream manufacturer, founded in 1889 in Galveston Island. La King's offers old time specialties; peanut brittle, divinity, pecan pralines, hand dipped chocolates, fudge, and salt water taffy made at the store as well as more than 50 candies. They also have a full service coffee shop. However, it was out of service at the time of our visit. We were immediately welcomed by the sweet smell of candy and ice cream at the door. The store is huge! We walked around before deciding on a treat. I decided on ice cream, espresso flavor. It was $5 for a scoop. The ice cream was rich, creamy, and delicious. One scoop was more than enough for me, especially after a big dinner. My mom also got an ice cream, my son got candy, and my dad got a sugar-free treat. Everyone left with their sweet tooth satisfied!

Yelp

Yelp
Top notch! I've been hearing great things about LA kings so we stopped in and gave them a shot and I am glad we did. They have an assort of hard candy, chocolate, taffy, ice cream, etc. you definitely have all the options you could ever want for something sweet. We with with ice cream and candy. The turtle chocolate was dam good. So was the ice cream. I like how it was not overly sweet. It was made to perfection. This will be a go to every single time we come to Galveston. The customer service is real good too. Top notch spot. I'll be back soon.
google avatar

Yelp
How can ya not like their homemade ice cream only thing takes away from 5 star is customer service, when you hire anyone who has no people skills takes away from the total atmosphere.
google avatar

Thomas B.

Yelp
a Galveston legendary tradition, pulled saltwater taffy, handmade sodas and ice cream treats.
google avatar

Oz E.

Yelp
I will begin by saying that the interior is very inviting. The array of smells, colors, and sounds all make for a very nice atmosphere. The candy itself is not mind blowing. The chocolates are mostly average and the toffee is also underwhelming. Considering this place has a reputation ahead of it I was expecting a tad more. Nonetheless, this place definitely serves a unique experience and so I don't regret shopping here.
google avatar

Angelique G.

Yelp
An absolute must when you are craving sweets. Everything from ice cream to fudge. You name it, they have it. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Prices are not high at all. I picked out some chocolates while the rest of the family got ice cream.
google avatar

Tiffany S.

Yelp
I was in Galveston with my fiancé, 2 girlfriends, and one kid. We stumbled upon La Kings, and decided to get some ice cream. We were greeted by an employee named Torryan, where he served a single scoop of ice cream on a cone. He let us try 2 flavors and recommended the popular item which was butter pecan! Overall, he was very attentive! Cute store inside. Limited space to sit! We will be back! Enjoy our experience and friendly waitstaff!
google avatar

Claire C.

Yelp
This place is very old timey and a cute place to stop for a treat or a break from the sun! The inside was pretty clean and decorated to look old fashioned. There were people pulling taffy in the back which was pretty cool to see. We were there on a Friday afternoon and after reading some other reviews, it was not busy at all. There were a lot of different counters set up for the different items - ice cream at one, malt drinks at another, pastry across the room. It was not super clear where some of the lines started, but since there weren't too many people we didn't have a problem finding someone to help us out. I got the chocolate chocolate chip and my friend go the cookie dough. I love ice cream so I enjoyed it but there wasn't anything too special about it. I would come back next time I'm in Galveston to try a milk shake or the taffy.
google avatar

James G.

Yelp
La King's has almost every sweet treat someone can imagine. My family of seven enjoyed their malt, other shakes, their fudge and other candies. We recommend La King's Confectionery.
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
Glad we stopped in for some sweet treats. After reading some of the reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. Everything seemed clean and I liked how the candy was in cases. Most places that you buy candy in bulk allow the customers to use tongs / scoops to place the candy in the bags. It felt very sanitary to me and the pricing was very reasonable.
google avatar

Carlie L.

Yelp
This was a fun stop. There are so many chocolates and candies to choose from, plus a little ice cream parlor area. Looking around was more enjoyable than the actual chocolates or ice cream. Nothing wrong with the items, they just weren't great. If you're in the area it's worth stopping in, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit.
google avatar

Steve L.

Yelp
Upon entering, you are immediately greeted to a rush of nostalgic stimuli that sweeps you in a different world. You see penny press machines, vintage Coca Cola signs, and about every candy you could possibly imagine. The place was not terribly big, so there was a mayhem of adults, kids, and teens all rushing around to figure out what delectable treats they would like. We just had to stop and block the flow of traffic to take it all in. On the left side there is a line for anyone who wants shakes, malts, sundaes, splits, sodas, or other drinks. If you want ice cream scoops only, you need to head to the back in a separate line. I didn't particularly enjoy that, since I had four young kids with me and 2 wanted cones only and the other 2 ice cream sodas. I understand that helps to make things more efficient, but seemed like there should be a better way to be able to order everything at once. Ice cream scoops were a solid $5 and single scoop only. After handing the cone to my son, a split second later the ice cream slipped off the cone and plopped on the floor. Perhaps the guys scooping ice cream could use some more practice in placing the ice cream on the cone. Once we got a new scoop, the the strawberry and peanut butter chip were solid. But the clear standout were the old fashioned ice cream sodas - two eldest kids got cherry sodas and I also a root bear float. We told the kids if you're going to get something, get something you can't normally get anywhere else. So since La Kings is known for their saltwater taffy, it was cool to come in right around store opening and to see the process in real time. They use a 102 year old mechanical machine to cut and wrap hundreds of taffy. We decided to get a bunch of individual taffies and buy a 1/4 lb, and so that was a good route to go if you wanted to sample select flavors- unless you buy the premade assorted taffy boxes ($25 or so). Overall, other than the hustle and bustle and the cramped places to sit, y'all need to stop by with your kids. Make sure they come out with a blast from the last item or a candy item that you can't get anywhere else!
google avatar

Courtney Ann R.

Yelp
LaKings is a whimsical staple of Galveston. 5 or 50 it's not hard to enjoy. It has a very classic feel & tons of homemade candy and ice cream. A great spot for the kids or even a good spot to bring treats back home.
google avatar

Yelp
My photos tell it all. Wow! It was very hot outside but nice and cool inside.

Yelp
Every time my family visits Galveston since 2018, we've made it a point to stop by and get their awesome taffy and creamy ice cream. Usually a couple days in a row!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a must go to if coming to Galveston. I stop by before leaving or on a hot day for some ice cream and treats. The kids will definitely enjoy the setting as well. Fun for the whole family

Yelp
A bustling location for sweet treats in the heart of The Strand! My friends and I stopped here briefly to get ice cream, and all of the flavors we tried were delicious! The coffee bean flake was my favorite flavor, but the rocky road and chocolate chip cookie dough were tasty as well.

Yelp
La King's Confectionery is a Galveston staple nestled inside the Strand that you simply cannot miss. I've been here multiple times with family growing up, but I'm surprised I didn't Yelp this place sooner. This is a MUST TRY place, period. Walking in, you're instantly teleported back in time to "the good ole days." There's a huge assortment of salt water taffy, ice cream sodas, malts, shakes, chocolates, candy, popcorn, coffee, you name it. This place will give anyone that nostalgic kid in a candy store feeling for sure. I'm a big chocolate lover so this particular visit I got a chocolate ice cream soda, and an assortment of chocolates/pralines. This is the perfect spot to escape the Texas heat and satisfy your sweet tooth for sure. We'll be coming back to this gem for years to come. Enjoy!

Berit D.

Yelp
Growing up, every time I visited the beach we'd hit up La kings afterwards. Tons of great old timey candy selections. Different flavored candy canes, rock candy, and all kinds of truffles. The ice cream they serve there is just blue bell so nothing special with that. What is special here though is when they do taffy pulling demonstrations and throw fresh taffy to viewers. I love getting to experience that! Still love stopping by here after the beach!
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
Get ready to bump elbows at La King's Confestionery! It was definitely a busy afternoon and nearly impossible to walk around inside. The chocolate display cases were full of yummy looking treats, but I was eyeing the ice cream! I ordered a cup of butter pecan (one of my usual favorite flavors) and was severely disappointed. The buttery ice cream was way too sweet and had a grainy texture while the pecan bits were almost non-existent. Unfortunately, I didn't have the best experience with the ice cream and felt like I wasted my money on the scoop. The taffy was okay, reasonably chewy but got pretty tough and lost a lot of flavor after a minute or so of chewing. I would say stop by and roll the dice if you are into sweets but stay away from the ice cream.
google avatar

Roy B.

Yelp
Always enjoy this place. Everything here is always fantastic. Ice cream, salt water taffy, chocolates, various candies. It's the best! Try the cinnamon ice cream!

Yelp
My family decided to have a beach day the Thursday before New Years. It was warm but because it was so close to NYD, we thought there wouldn't be many people on the beach. We were right. At LaKing, though? Wrong. So, so wrong... but let me back up. I love history and retro/vintage things and, for some odd reason, I don't remember ever coming to this part of Galveston before. When I heard of a place that sold old fashioned candies and treats and how they served ice cream from the oldest ice cream company in Texas, I WAS THERE. It was a pleasant surprise that the buildings were all historical. The shop was packed with people and dimly lit. People weren't on the beach because they were at LaKing getting their ice cream fix since it was such a warm day, or so it seemed. People were outside and more were inside. Okay, there weren't THAT many but there were enough where you could touch everyone you passed if you wanted to, so a bit too crowded for my taste. Never mind the lack of face masks. Pandemic? Never heard of it. Most of the family stayed outside as we had very young kids. That aside, it's HUGE. The right side is dedicated to all the candies. So many things to look at! Unfortunately, they only did taffy pulling on the weekends so I didn't get to see any of that action. I was focused on the left side, which starts off with the counter where you could order your floats and other old time favorites. The ice cream was at the very end, right by the restrooms and it had the longest line. It's $4 a scoop and it continues in those multiples. I decided to live a little and get my cookies and cream scoop on a cone. My friend got the medium cup with TWO scoops ($8) and OH MY GOODNESS was that huge. Lol... needless to say, you get your money's worth. Mine wasn't that big but it wasn't small either (the ice cream doesn't go down into the relatively small cone though.). We went out to an empty street to enjoy. Perfection. It was DELICIOUS and exactly what the day needed for a perfect end to a day trip. Not too sweet either and I didn't need to chase it down with water! That's always a concern. However, it did start melting in a short period of time. My hands were sticky once I was done with it all, so my next visit (there will be another one) will feature a cup unless it's cold out. Summary: great ice cream that's not too sweet. Lots of things to see and get, but I wanted to get in and get out so I'll leave that for another time. No indoor seating that I could see (or they were closed... all those countertops..), which explains why there were groups of people outside the doors. I'd also like to try a float next time.

Yelp
I took my daughter here to see taffy being made, and unfortunately, they weren't doing it at the time. When I asked the employees when they would be doing it again, no one knew. The store was pretty busy, but the service was fast, and the people were pleasant. We didn't find any candy that was particularly special or unusual, but they did have a big selection. My daughter got some gummy strips, and she was satisfied with those. She also had the cookies & creme ice cream, and they were very generous with the scoop. It's a cute place, and worth checking out if you're already in the area. We would return if we knew when to see the taffy being made!

B G.

Yelp
Quant confections and atmosphere. Nice place to visit when in the area. Tasty taffy. If you are in the area. Stop by.
google avatar

Jillian H.

Yelp
The ice cream is really smooth! It's a bit busy and loud, but the dessert is great! Your kids will love it as well as you!
google avatar

Lene B.

Yelp
The ambiance was good, lots of families. I had some ice cream as did my brother, large scoops and they want you to choose just one flavor even in the bigger size containers. I did the coffee chip, was really good. They had a good system for serving the large line, so all in all recommend but it's a tourist spot so it'll be crowded.
google avatar

Arya N.

Yelp
I stopped by La King's Confectionery on a warm Saturday afternoon. As expected they were pretty busy, and street parking was a little difficult to find. I ordered a root beer float, and was pleasantly surprised to get it so quickly. On first impression, the presentation was a little messy. As they handed it to me, there was some ice cream dripping from the sides of the cup. The portion size was reasonable considering the price. The ice cream itself was just okay, but the root beer was lacking in flavor.
google avatar

Forest B.

Yelp
What a jewel of a respite from the oppressive Texas heat. The shop is an attractive step back in time. We were fortunate to find a table to sit at and enjoy our treats. My rootbeer float was flavorful and refreshing. My daughter was suprised by how attractively priced the candies were. The overall visit was a bargain and everything reflected quality. La King's will be a regular stop on future trips to Galveston.
google avatar

Lisa T.

Yelp
very cute ice cream and candy shop. ice cream was fresh and creamy. we liked looking the retro candies while we had our ice cream

Ritodhi C.

Yelp
This is a really cool institution on the Strand that has been cranking out old-school and modern sweets alike since 1976, when it was founded by a second-generation confectioner. Walking in is like stepping backwards in time to a bygone era of diners, malts, and old-timey dances you only see in grainy black-and-white videos. We bought a bunch of tasty bonbons and also some shakes, whipped up in an allegedly authentic soda fountain from the 1920s. All their chocolate-based goodies have a healthy pinch of salt in them, which is the mark of a candymaker that knows what its doing. A perfect place to take a date or your kids or just yourself if you have a particularly insatiable sweet tooth.
google avatar

Jasmine J.

Yelp
Very busy and touristy. I love the iced cream - my fave currently is the New York cheesecake! Rich, creamy and easy on the tastebuds. Downside: cleanliness this may be due to the high walk through traffic.
google avatar

Natalie F.

Yelp
If you ever find yourself on Galveston Island, this is a must stop on Strand. It's a 1920's retro classic confectionery candy shop offering purity ice cream (oldest ice cream in Texas), malts, taffy, and chocolate. Their candy counter is never ending super long, offering new to old time recipes. On certain days you can watch the taffy pulls right from the shop. We ordered some hand dipped chocolates, such as white and milk chocolate cherries, pretzels and divinity. Yummy yummy yummy! Great service, not a long wait at all, handling covid well with masks, etc.
google avatar

Alex A.

Yelp
Stopped into La King's Confectionery for some ice cream after dinner. When you walk in it feels like you've been transported back in time to an old school soda fountain. We ordered the mint chocolate chip ice cream which was okay, but was the best flavor that I tried. I'll likely try a different flavor of ice cream next time.

Yelp
This was an amazing place the ice cream was delicious, the service, top tier and the kids loved it.

Yelp
Showed up at 6:25 and the doors were locked and they were only serving the people already inside. They close at 6:30

Yelp
Located at the Strand, La Kings is a sweet-lovers dream. Glass cabinets filled with chocolates and other homemade candies. Watch taffy being pulled and build your own variety pack of taffy pieces. Or check out the soda shop with fancy coffees, ice cream by the scoop, sundaes or old fashioned malts. The place smells delicious! And my malt was awesome. The downside, the guy making my malt acted like I was a total inconvenience when I placed my order. Having visited in the off season, I can't image the response I would have received at placing and order during the summer months.
google avatar

Augustus G.

Yelp
Really nice confectioners right on the Strand in old downtown Galveston. La Kings has been in business for a long time and are famous for making their own Candies. Anything from salt water taffee, to milk chocolates and dark chocolates. Chocolate of any kind with Pecans, Almonds, and other things. They have cotton candy, fresh popcorn, and an old style soda fountain counter. You can get fountain cokes, milkshakes and malts, along with ice cream. The people here are all very friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to help you!
google avatar

Jamie M.

Yelp
Go here for everything sweet, don't go here to use a restroom. That's probably the best piece of advice I can give alongside don't go during a high traffic time like spring break (if you can avoid it). I've frequented King's more than a handful of times and some visits have been very enjoyable and some are so overwhelming I'll stop at about 10 feet in and grab a treat from that vicinity. With that being said when you walk in on your left you have glass displayed filled with tons of in house made treats. From sugared fruit pieces, truffles, varieties of pecan sand dollars, chocolate covered Oreos, honey comb, and the whole kitchen sink covered in sugar. To your right you'll find a soda fountain counter for all your malt, shake, & drink concoctions. Right corner contains the ice cream counter which moves like a well oiled machine pumping out cones patron after patron. If here during a busy time make sure you get in the ice cream line it can clash with bathrooms. Ugh now restroom they are located back right corner (friendly tip: there is an entrance/exit near restroom, backside of King's if you can't avoid having to pit stop here for that reason). They are small don't have much wiggle room and contain two stalls in each (our recent visit Women's had one out of order so if you can imagine). You've been warned! Now on to my favorite thing. Taffy pulling, making, throwing freebies. My kiddos have enjoyed this experience & entertainment. As well as the fresh taffy given out. Located in the far left back corner of the shop. This is definitely worth a visit whenever your on the island. Just beware beyond candy overload it can be crowd overload too.

Yelp
La King's is a Galveston must stop! A part of the historic Strand District, it's a step back in time, not only because it's in an old historic building, but the way it's staged inside is like stepping back in time in the old candy shops. One wall is ice cream and shakes/malts. The other side is candies and chocolates (also sugar-free options). At the back of the store is someone making sea-salt toffee, one of their specialty items, with many flavors to choose from. They also have prepackaged candies and sweets like cotton candy and gummies. It's crowded in there, but there are several registers to order from and pay at, and there are several employees taking orders. The shakes/malts are some of the best I've ever had. My only complaint is a small one. You can only get one sized shake/malt. If you're on the island, make your way here!

Yelp
Lots to choose from. Very busy and kinda of overwhelming. We didn't get anything because it was crowded but we did browse all the chocolates, cotton candy, drinks and there is even a shake/malt area. It's a cool stop but probably pretty packed!

Yelp
La King's Confectionery is an institution in Galveston. It's listed on Trip Advisor's top places to visit in the area. Located on The Strand, I stopped by on a weekend for some goodies. Depending on when you go, it's not unusual that there will be a short wait. There may be a line out of the door. But it moves quickly. La King's serves an assortment of goodies. All different types of candy, souvenirs, coffee, ice cream, and more. They have been around for a long time and you get that old school candy shop vibe which is so cool. They're known for their ice cream and their saltwater taffy. Especially the taffy which you can sometimes see being made and which sometimes sells out. Check it out to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Yelp
This place is always slammed but I'd face a crowd for a maple cream. I wish they mailed candy!

Yelp
4 stars for the chocolate fudge! I love coming to this place when I'm in town, I've also gotten the malts, delicious. The ice cream is wonderful by itself or mixed with toppings. Such a fun place to wander around. Highly recommended if you're on the strand!

Yelp
We come here often. This place reminds me of the nostalgic Marc Summers from "Unwrapped." My favorite part is the daily live taffy-pull and the ice cream/soda pop bar.
