The 38 Best Restaurants in Mumbai, India | Eater

"La Loca Maria has successfully imported the joy of tapas dining to Mumbai. Chef Manuel Olveira Seller’s relocated restaurant packs in flavors from several Spanish-speaking countries in simple and well-executed plates. The charred octopus, palm heart ceviche, and pork al pastor tacos are great places to start, while the lightly smoked salmon and sous vide chicken sit in stark contrast to the heavily seasoned proteins usually offered in India." - Sumedh Natu

We had an excellent birthday lunch here. Everyone felt the food was very good. The pork and the paella and the stuffed capsicum was really good. The starters were also good and the crab was very good ( I cannot not eat such a wonderful intelligent creature, but the world does!). The drinks got a thumbs up from everyone especially the red wine sangria. Atmosphere is really nice and we got a round table which is always the best for chatting. No complaints. The deconstructed tiramisu was special.

The paella is absolutely top notch. The hot skillet adds the oomph and authenticity to the rice that it exactly needs. For appetizer, seafood is your best friend. Although the ham and cheese croquettes are also a must try. The tequila base cocktails are particularly exceptional. Ambience is nice and music to the ears, will take you to a nice sultry evening in Greece or Spain. The taste in every item is subtle and has a foreign flavour to it that you only get while travelling abroad which marks authenticity. One thing to improve is the portion sizes, it’s definitely difficult to share between to people plus the menu lacks a lot of major Spanish items which can only enhance the choices for the lovable gluttons. Reservations are recommended.

Dessert was the best part of the meal. Everything else was overly salty or one dimensional. Not worth the hype. The first time I went here was just okay and the this time worse. Ambience is nice but seats are so close that you can hear what conversation is happening at the table next to us.

Loved loved everything about this place! The flavors of all the dishes were on point. Nicely seasoned, and very fresh ingredients. Special shoutout to this tiramisu, nothing like what you’d get anywhere else. Chef was also super friendly and welcoming.

A truly homely restaurant with the best ambience, incredible staff, and top-notch service. Every dish was a standout—each one unique, delicious, and full of smooth, rich flavors. You can truly taste the love and care in every bite. Malcolm served us wonderfully, and Chef Nvinad created a meal we won’t forget. An unforgettable dining experience!

One of the few restaurants in Bandra that continues to make sure that the quality and taste of the food continues to be exquisite even after it’s become very famous. A restaurant we visit often and have never been disappointed. Service and ambience is great, special mention to the manager who was extra attentive and took care of my comfort because I was pregnant. Dishes to try: Sticky Pork Belly, Cauliflower Tacos, Carpaccio, All Paellas, Chocolate Soufflé & Tiramisu. They do some really good cocktails too.

La Loca Maria is truly a hidden gem in Bandra. From the moment you walk in, the warm ambiance, hand-painted interiors, and open kitchen set the tone for a refined yet welcoming dining experience. The food is a beautiful blend of modern Spanish flavors with a creative twist. I started with the crispy cauliflower taco, and it was so good, I had to try more — every taco was better than the last. The paella was deeply comforting, rich in flavor, and perfectly cooked. But the star of the show? The deconstructed tiramisu — light, airy, and unforgettable. It’s clear why this place is ranked among India’s top restaurants. The service was equally impressive — attentive, friendly, and well-informed. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or just looking for a memorable meal, La Loca Maria delivers in every way. Can’t wait to return! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A great experience! Food Is fantastic though pricey. If you can afford it it's the place to go. Loved the fish tacos. Didn't like the tiramisu that much, but the other dishes were amazing.
