Come patronize this magical establishment. ¡Entras, y estas en Mexico! The food is amazing, the service CHINGON, and the drinks — oof. Good deal on Monday a house Mezcal and an estrella for $10! I tried the elote, the tostada, the tuna tacos, and all were delicious, fresh, and had authentic flavors of mexico with a unique new york spin. One of the best spots on this visit to NYC.

Excellent torta (5/5) with good carnitas (3.5/5), tuna tacos (4/5), and very good barbacoa (4.5/5). The ambiance is also really nice and it has a giant outdoors space as well. The happy hour is also great with $7 guac (4/5). Overall nice place!

La Loncheria is a great little casual spot in Bushwick serving their take on Mexican food. It’s not traditional but it’s super tasty. We sampled a variety of dishes during happy hour. We started with the ceviche tostada which was honestly the star of the show! It was so delicious and citrusy and went amazingly on the crispy tostada, it’s a must try! We also got the Sopa de Tarasca which was good but nothing too special. Next we got a half portion of a Torta which was really amazing, it had an amazing layer of beef paired with fresh cabbage and cilantro, a black bean spread and crispy cheese on perfectly toasted bread. The half portion is actually huge! We also tried the lamb barbacoa tacos, the tuna tacos, and the carne Asada tacos. Everything was well cooked but I think each one could’ve benefitted from a bit more fat and flavor. We also got a margarita. And for all of that it was only $59 before tip! I was impressed by the prices and it was a great casual meal. I definitely recommend trying this spot if you’re around Bushwick!

Service was terrible here last night. I’ve been here a few times over the years and things have gone bad. Bartender and sister work there. Some drinks were not available that night, food was not good at at all, rice was stale and old, torta was old as well it felt very low quality. Bartender was rude since I mentioned to him “what do you have” since he said he didn’t have the materials for 2 drinks we originally ordered. Was difficult to get bartenders attention since he was too busy trying to talk to a girl that was on a date and consistently try to sit with her while he was working. Later disappeared before we wanted to pay for 20 mins. Bartender kept touching face and beard and was making drinks and not once saw him wash his hands. No thank you

After over a year of not coming here, since I moved out of town, I’m happy this place is still solid. I had my old favorite, the tuna al pastor tacos, I also had the Guacamaya torta and a michelada. La Loncheria still hits the spot!

So so delicious. Great service. They have indoor and outdoor (backyard) seating. The reviews are right, the tuna tacos are divine. Cocktails were tasty too. Will return to try more from the menu!

I’ve been looking forward to this day every week and La loncheria is the first place that comes to mind on Taco Tuesday. I’ve been here a handful of times and every single time I was never disappointed. The Steak tacos are so tender and full of flavor, the Carnitas tacos are unmatched as they compliment it with pieces of toasted cuero to add some crunch to the symphony of flavors, and the ceviche? Well, it’s to die for. The Mezcal selection is extensive, the ambience is amazing the service is 10 out of 10. You can’t lose !!!

Another great NYC Mezcaleria. One of the most casual mezcalerias that I've been to. Very approachable bar display. There are no bottles blocking each other offering excellent visibility. There online menu has lots of information too in order to help you make a decision. I'd definitely return for mezcal. Before delving into the mezcals, I was intrigued by the happy hour specials. $7 for guacamole and $7 for a michelada. I never had the michelada, so I figured this was a good opportunity. It was interesting to say the least. I'd stick to a margarita next time. Guac and chips were good to get in some bites while contemplating the rest of the menu. We decided to go with the different tacos: the barbacoa, carnitas, and the tuna. Two tacos per each order. Each order was $13, so on the pricey side at $6.50 per taco. Came with cilantro, lime, sauce, and onions. I was surprised that the onions were chopped instead of minced. Made the onions more pronounced. Service was quick and attentive. The bartender who was also the hostess and our waitress was bustling! She was knowledgeable on the mezcals and made a great recommendation. There was one small gender neutral restroom. They have an outdoor backyard.

Came here for dinner. Super chill casual vibe. You scan QR code and come up to order at the bar. It's Happy Hour from 5-7pm so the Guac was $7. Then we got elote, ceviche tostada and some tacos. Everything was delicious including the salsas. The tacos aren't super loaded so I'd recommend to get other plates too. I love the outdoor seating - it's cute and I can only imagine it during the day when it's sunny. Would love to try more things when I'm in the area!

Seriously great place with killer drinks and insanely good food. Came here with a friend and really dug the palomas. Fruity and sweet with a hefty pour of booze. Glad I went with a whole torta, and it was really massive. Ate the PAMBAZO and oh my. That vegan chorizo was AMAZING. The crema fresca and the queso fresco was on point - I was just in heaven the entire time. Service was attentive, even on a Friday night and truly enjoyed my time. I definitely want to come back for the happy hour deals and I want to try more on the mezcal menu.

Small bar and restaurant in Bushwick with a solid selection of tacos and tortas. The tortas also come in half portions, they are delicious but very filling! Also has a daily happy hour with $5 beers and discounted margaritas until 7pm. The staff are friendly and overall it's pretty good value for money. Little outdoor space in the back seems nice for the summer but a bit cold right now!

What a delightful place! As someone who loves mezcal, I couldn't believe the great selection of high-quality mezcals, all 100% artisanal and from different varieties. We paired those mezcals with two orders of tacos: Campechanos, wow! The perfect balance between the three meat varieties, and finally, THE COSTRA, it's a MUST! I won't say more. When you enter the place, it seems like it's just a bar, but they have tables at the back and even a quite large patio in the back part. Highly recommended.

Best Micheladas in Brooklyn. Also you HAVE to have their tortas ayyy dios mio Great people working there. Beautiful Mexican prints and lithos on the wall. Love this place.

Great new casual Mexican spot with a focus on tortas and tacos, but everything that comes out of the kitchen is excellent. Definitely get the guacamole to start ($9), which comes with very few but very large chips that are super crispy and nicely seasoned. For something really light and refreshing, start with the Ensalada de Jicama ($8), then move on to the Tuna Tacos ($9 for 2) and the Pambazo-Azo ($6 for half or $11 for a whole).

Mind blowing Mexican from the Hecho en Dumbo folks. Hipper than hip, cooler than cool, the metal security door opens to a long bar cum restaurant. The feeling is clandestine and the epitome of cool. Named La Loncheneria means amazing tacos and tortas, but this bad ass spot is so much more. This is serious Mexican food, made to order, small plates style nothing casual about the food. Ate: Creviche Chilitos rellenos with tuna Tuna taco al sarten Mushroom soup Veggies Total;$45 The chilitos rellenos with fresh tuna was unlike anything I've tasted. Everything was delicious and super tasty bordering on spicy in the best possible way. The cerviche comes with large crispy round corn tortillas. There are a few larger plates including a pork shank cooked on a grill- will come back for that. PS I ate here Friday night and I pay for my food! #Faboulos!

My coworkers and I came in on a Saturday afternoon. There were no other customers. The person was slow in taking our orders to go. No smile, no greeting, no personality. When the food came, he didn't know which was what. The food was good but small portions for the price. The manager/owner, at least thanked us for coming. If only the host/cashier was better trained.

Great ambiente and fantastic service. The food is not just spectacular, it is presented in a marvelous way and the cocktail is memorable. It is an amazing experience, 100% worth it.

Brisket tortas, homemade guac with homemade chips, street corn oh my! So freakin delicious. Spicy margarita, mezcal margarita... you can't go wrong. These guys have it down and make incredible food. When this social distancing is over, give their small, friendly bar a visit, until then they deliver through caviar on their website!

That was #really good. I did get the #Pork Shoulder plate. It had good flavors. But I wish it wasn't a cutlet. I thought it was going to be slow cooked pull apart meat. Or I wish I could order some of the other meats they have as a plate. Like the #Lamb Belly. #I like how the tortillas have some grilled char on it. Everywhere else in the neighborhood, it's #steamed and wet. This makes a big difference. Even though I try not to eat much #carbs.

Went here for some bomb-ass tortas. The vibe felt like home. The food is muy delicioso! I even indulge in a couple of margaritas which was tasty. Authentic AF. I recommend this spot.

This small unassuming bar packs a punch. A Pazzi Punch, that is. Named after the best bartender I've ever had, this drink cured my hangover in about 10 minutes flat. The spicy cucumber marg reminded me how beautiful life truly is and made me call my mother just to tell her I love her. The tuna tacos made me weep. The costra made my soul feel as if it was made of delicious melty cheese. I want to fill a pool with their homemade guac and eat my way out from the bottom. The last few times I've been, the servers and bartenders were wearing very silly aprons. Doesn't really affect my experience personally but it makes it feel like management is trying too hard to make the place something it's not.

Drinks are delicious Food is average, a little pricey for the kind of place and portions.

Went here with a friend to take advantage of their happy hour on a Monday early evening. We were the first customers through the door around 5:45pm and promptly sat at the bar. We ordered a couple of margaritas and I also enjoyed a burger and a fish taco. The fish taco was a-ok in my opinion, but the burger was a real winner. Everything was priced super reasonably--especially since it was happy hour--and was very tasty (including the drink). The service was friendly and attentive and the food came out quickly. We definitely enjoyed our time here and noticed that they have a great back patio that would be an awesome spot for dinner during the warmer month. This is a spot worth checking out in the neighborhood for a drink, HH bite, or a sit-down dinner.

Great ambiance, great food, great service, great outdoor area. Just great all round.

I'm going to start with the Salsa macha of chile ancho. This is a very dark red, with grind and seeds of a salsa. Just looking at it makes me want to awwwwww, man. I know something good is coming on top of my tacos. No, not good, very great. It doesn't have any off flavors. It is a high-medium to strong flavored chile flavor without any heat. It is smooth and thick. It does have a little oil but it is no watered down crap. The Tomatillo salso is lighter but still very good. Shared a bunch of tacos, a couple I forget the name of but all came on a lightly chewy soft grilled tortilla with the meat on the bottom and garnished on top with bits of sliced cabbage, onions and cilantro. With a little liquor later I am happy. The Taco La Costra and Cabeza are the ones I remember the name of. I have to go to my cell video to name them. But all in all good tasting tacos. There was a little bit of a unique and side item that for the second time I have tried: crickets. Those tasted a little like chewing on pills of hollow plastic/parchment paper sheets. Not much meat to crickets. Not bad. They went well with the Salsa macha of chile ancho.

Would leave zero star if I could. I have worked 5+ years in the service industry including restaurant management and I've never had such a bad time anywhere. The server/bartender forgot our drinks said "he ran them to another table". When I asked about them he did not offer to make them right away. The rice was old and crunchy. All the food was cold, my boyfriend and I saw the food waiting out while the server/bartender was refilling a water pitcher and not addressing the issue. It's frustrating coming from another server knowing what it takes and how aware you have to be about your tables or maybe it's not the line of work for you.

If you want to wait for your food for an hour then check this place out! You would be so hungry to the point that you would think the food is actually good, love their marketing strategy:)

I stopped in here for a quick drink and bite after a recent event at Brooklyn Cider House, and came away really impressed. I had the half-order of the lamb barbacoa torta, and it was incredible. Plenty large for one person to eat as a meal, and a powerful, rich flavor (helped along by the au jus dip). I also had the classic margarita for happy hour -- I wouldn't say it was the best margarita I've had, but for $5 it's hard to complain. All in all, I walked out full for not a whole lot of money, and I'll definitely be back for the food. That torta is outstanding.

Small place, nice decor, friendly staff. Food is really good too. I'd be a regular if it weren't for the fact that the prices are ridiculously too expensive for the neighborhood. Especially considering how small the portion sizes are. My verdict? It's cool place that's pricing itself out of being a neighborhood staple.

I had heard of La Loncheria from an interview online and realized that it was quite close to home. So I picked up a friend of mine and headed over to give it a try. To say that the experience was enjoyable is an understatement. Firstly we had gotten parking very quickly and it seemed that parking would not be a problem. The atmosphere of the place was very relaxing and laid back. The restaurant wasn't huge, but comfortable for small groups and it did look as if they may have had a larger area in the back for a bigger group. We had come in the afternoon and not many people were there; however, we were greeted immediately upon walking in by our waitress. I had gotten the La Nina Popov ($11) and my friend had gotten the Ven A Mi ($11). Both tortas were phenomenal. The Popov was cooked perfect and the bit of fat on the lamb made the whole sandwich that much better. The Ven A Mi was also fantastic. Everything tasted so fresh and the brisket was cooked so well. The whole experience was fantastic. As we finished, happy hour had just started so we indulged in a few margaritas which also came with tomato soup. I found that a bit odd but I was not disappointed because the soup was fantastic and the Mezcal Margarita was great. The classic was alright as well but not quite as good as the Mezcal in my opinion. All in all, this place is a must go. The price point is fair and worth every dollar. Whether its lunch, happy hour, or dinner, you won't be disappointed and Im looking forward to coming back for more tortas and to try those tacos.

Yelp is a good idea in theory, but most people who take time out of their day to review are the human equivalent of a used Q-tip and shouldn't even be able to rate amateur porn. Ergo, because I'm awesome and have sacrosanct taste, I will offset dumb reviewers: This place has $5 dope ass margs at happy hour. This place also has dope ass $5 guac at happy hour. Most items are original and tasty and reasonably priced. They don't play shitty music. If you're curious what qualifies as shitty, think Sublime or Oasis or U2. Acceptable music is Frank Ocean or 13th Floor Elevators. You can order ceviche here. Ceviche is a dish you can't find in most places. It's also usually done poorly. Here it is yum yum and $10. If you are a harsh critic of this place you're probably really annoying in general. I assume you get burgers without cheese and don't understand the difference between cosmic and existential nihilism. God bless your soul. Nothing matters and we're all going to die.

We came from visiting to have a drink and stayed here for more than one. Super cool place to hang out and get a bite.

This is a weird one, kids. The place is beautiful, intimate, and despite its narrow size, has a nice crowd and vibe. Service is super-efficient, menus are innovative, which gets huge points for me. But dang, I cannot recommend this place. Like, here I am, recommending it, four stars right up there, maybe go and have a drink, but between two dishes and an app, no flavors were impressive. Not at all. Not one. Were they bad? HELL no, they were fresh ingredients, beautifully plated. It wasn't like it had a big presence tastewise and it wasn't my thing. It was all just...unremarkable in any context. I'm not going to argue with the umpire, but I'm telling you those three pitches were just outside the strike zone. Balls, every one of 'em. It's a big "meh." I'm happy we went! You should go and prove me wrong. I want this place to prosper. In every other regard, La Loncheria should get a heretofore untold six stars. But it's a big city, and I'm not going to eat there twice when there are other prospects. Sorry, man, still really like what you've got going here! Keep doing it.

The place is amazing, the food was incredibly good. This place is like being in Ciudad de Mexico in one of those famous spots because of their kitchen, If you'd been there, you know what I'm talking about. Everything from the kitchen was perfect, plus they have a great selection of spirits. From Banderita to Michelada to great cocktails. It was recommended by a friend and next time I visit Brooklyn I'll be there for sure. *****

This place has amazing food! Wonderful pulpo, guac, the barbacoa tacos and raw tuna tacos were to die for. The salsa is unreal and I've never seen a costra on the menu in the USA til today. Lovely and quite authentic. Downside was the drinks were not strong.

I went with both the lamb and porchetta. Instead of getting a full sandwich for $13, you can do two halves for $7 each (along with some kettle chips), which is a fantastic concept. I couldn't decide which was better with the well cooked meats to the soft, light crusted buns they use. Definitely add some of the tomatillo (I believe?) sauce on the side. Instead of a Negra Modelo, they Monopolio Negro. Slightly less sweet and malt forward, but still a enjoyable dark lager to pair with the slow and long cooked meats on the sandwiches.

Absolutely loved this place! The appetizer and main dishes are phenomenal. Felt like I was in Mexico! I strongly suggest the la costra and the tarito de Marlin.

This place is awesome! I'm the person who always like to try diversity of food. The food is perfect for the people who enjoy the real Mexican food. The flavors, the presentation, the smell... take you to another world!. Try the chips with guacamole, the fish tacos, the special from the chef, always surprise you!. Paloma cóctel with grapefruit it's the best either! ;)

Great tacos the margaritas can be a bit better flavored but the food is so authentic and the corn is everything. Place is small but cozy and they have tacos with lamb that come with an amazing stew the bartender is a cutie Asian Spanish looking and the cook is this skinny darker tall sexy man they have a vibe go check out

I am impressed, La Loncheria was definitely brilliant. Love this place. Awesome menu items, Ven a Mi was my choice and it was really incredible. Staff are really nice and service is very quick. I would certainly go back to La Loncheria if I am in the area.

Just ate here last night and all I can say is, Wow! Everything is just so fresh, flavorful and elegant. Elevated Mexican food at non-extortionate prices. What a gem. Service is great too. Our waitress was super attentive and somehow managed to anticipate our needs before we even asked for things! What we had: -ceviche -house salad -guac -lamb belly torta -brisket torta -roast pork shoulder -killer green salsa and peanut mole on the side All were pretty mind-blowing, though the award goes to the pork shoulder. I liked the lamb belly better than the brisket - it is nice and fatty which I love (but my wife isn't so much into that texture, her loss). I don't usually eat bread but had to make an exception for the torta because it was too good. Also had amazing spicy margs for $5 at happy hour. It was supposed to come with some sort of snack which never came - will have to remind them next time! Dessert options were limited to just pear tart, so we just ordered the tres leches ice cream that usually accompanies the tart. Slightly disappointing only because it didn't taste that much like tres leches (and maybe we were just holding them to a higher standard because everything that came before it was perfect). Anyway it was still house-made and was good quality and may just be lighter in flavor to go with the tart. Perhaps with time they will expand their dessert selection here, but even if they don't that won't stop me from coming back here! In short, check this place out - you will not regret it. The happy hour deal on margaritas is pretty great so an early dinner is the way to go IMHO.

Excelent authentic Mexican food! The place has a really cool vibe going too. I tried the "tacos de cabeza" the "ven a mi" and the crab tostada. The crab tostada was definitely my favorite but the meat in the taco and torta are super tender. We also tried the seasonal fruit tart with tres leches ice cream and it was heaven literally. Highly recommend

The food here is excellent and the drinks are great too. The decor has a nice vibe and the patio in the back is nice place to hang in the summertime. I really like this place a lot.

HIGHLY overrated. Not sure if it was just a bad night, or a disgruntled employee, but last night a friend of mine and I went to sit down for dinner and we were ignored for about 20min. Our waiter eventually came and asked if we were ready, we had not had a chance to look at the menu so we just ordered some chips and guac and said we need a second to keep looking. We didn't see him for another 30min, and after 45min our chips and guac finally arrived with stale chips and warm guac cause I'm assuming it was just sitting on the counter that entire time. He took our order, about 30min later the food arrived, my friends order was correct but mine wasn't, I didn't even say anything though cause I was just done with this place at that point. The waiter eventually noticed he gave away the wrong order and asked if I would just eat it anyway, no apology or explanation. I generally give people the benefit of the doubt but this man was just straight bad at his job. So pony tail goatee waiter, im not sure a waiter is the best career choice. I might give this place another chance if he is off that day.

Went here recently for a Sunday brunch/lunch and had the best enchiladas in my life! My wife got the steak plate and we had a great experience here. Friendly service and delicious cocktails too. A little pricey but the portions were fair and the quality is top notch! Very authentic and all the flavors were on point! Love the extra chili oil and salsa that comes with the chips and guacamole. Would definitely come back for happy hour!

Probably the best Mexican restaurant in Bushwick and one of the most underrated restaurants, period, in New York right now. This place would be at home in a hip neighborhood in Mexico City. Incredibly good cooking with dishes that offer just enough of a twist on traditional Mexican food to make eating here memorable (if not mind-blowing).

Some truly solid taco choices here - get there on Sunday for the carnitas - and a really good margarita. The star of the show is the elote which always elicits a bit of a foodgasmic moan from me. Do not skip the elote.

Somehow, I have completely missed this spot for far too long. The food is sooooo good! Drinks are delicious as well. The place is adorable. The service is great. Highly recommend. Just need to bring my own vegan cheese ha!

Ordered the La Nina Popov sandwich and the lamb belly was 90% chewy fat (solid and tough), which made it inedible. It's probably good when it's good but this was a miss.

The food here is absolutely insane. It's been almost a month and I've worked my way through the entire menu. The Tortas are out of this world, (I rank the brisket number 1), and at $11 bucks it's an insane portion especially with the liberal use of meat. The staff are nice, cool and super into what they do. $5 bomb margaritas and $5 guacamole for happy hour can't be passed up. This place is crushing it. I simultaneously want everyone to know about it so they're successful and no one to know about it so I can have it all to myself. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Been going here constantly for almost a year now and it's one of my favorite spots in all of NYC! The food and drinks are one-of-a-kind and I constantly crave them. I highly recommend the costra and the Pazzi Punch--a combo you'll dream about for the rest of your life. The ambiance is cozy, the staff is SUPER friendly, even with those nerdy aprons on, and the music is always on point. I would give this place 5,000 stars if I could!
