"La Marzocco Cafe is a huge garage space that doubles as the headquarters for KEXP radio, so the soundtrack you hear while you’re typing away is actually the live radio show in the room over. We realized this when we saw some guy in a booth lip-synching whatever was coming through the loudspeakers incredibly well. The espresso options are complex and delicious, and there are a bunch of tasty pastries available, too. If it’s nice out, sit near the patio so you can get a good view of the Space Needle. Also important: they have coffee soft serve. photo credit: Erin Lodi" - Aimee Rizzo

Hip, spacious, fun cafe! Upon entering, I was quite surprised by how large and diverse the space is. The cafe has it's section where they serve a curated menu of beverages and baked goods. They had a variety of famous La Marzocco espresso machines on display and it was neat to see the different models. There are seats spread throughout the space from more traditional cafe seats and tables to more comfy, relaxing chairs. The space is shared with a local radio station so it gives a good vibe to come and hang out. I ordered a Here's Johnny, Hot Chocolate, and Chocolate Chip Cookie. I had low expectations for the Here's Johnny drink, but I like to try new things, so I gave it a shot and it was surprisingly good. The Hot Chocolate was OK.. not very sweet. The cookie was decent, not too much to say. The prices were a bit high.. about $2-$3 higher than other cafes.. the ambience was much nicer though so I suppose that helps, but the prices were noticeable. Overall, I recommend coming here. I'll definitely be back!

Great place to chill and hangout with your friends and family! It is also huge inside!! You can also seat comfortably with their leather sofa and high back chase!! There is also a gallery towards the back, where you will view up and coming local artist! Concerts are played here so make sure to check their schedules. They are located right in the heart of Seattle City Center, right next to the fountain. They have three clear glass garage door, overlooking the courtyard and on a nice day, it will let the air in, and you will have the feeling of nature from the inside. This is also a very famous radio station KEXP, and they broadcast some of the finest music with eclectic genre. Both my espresso and cappuccino were fantastic, and all their staff were very kind. Cheers!

Google
Huge open space to grab some coffee and check out some of the La Marzocco legacy. There's a space for checking out their home espresso machines, as well as some cool coffee gadgets you can buy. The coffee is very good, and they rotate between their partner roasters so you can taste different beans with every visit! The food selection is a bit underwhelming, serving only a small selection of pastries. I would recommend this place for coffee and looking at some cool espresso machines, but I would say skip it if you're in the mood for breakfast.

Google
Loved the atmosphere. Plenty of seat and good place for work with laptop. Had the signature campfire latte and it was good but little bit too sweet for me. Would love to try other menus next time. Located just next to KeyArena.

Google
Classic coffee shop with a great interior and open space. Very relaxing and friendly service. They are even more expensive than Starbucks though, so don’t expect any form of a bargain coffee here. Otherwise, still a definite place to checkout if you like sampling various coffee cafes.

Google
If you only have time for one coffee shop in Seattle, it doesn’t get much better than this. I am blown away every time by these guys. Each time I’ve been, there’s a good sized line, but I always have my coffee less than 5 minutes after ordering. But it’s also obvious that these pros don’t sacrifice quality for speed: I’ve always gotten a quality cup and friendly service here. They share a space with a small record shop, and KEXP (a local radio station). Occasionally, there are recorded live music sessions in the main space, but I haven’t seen one there yet myself. There’s an assortment of espresso machines sold here that are great for use at home, and they rotate their coffee roaster regularly, so you can even expect roasts from companies around the world!

Google
It’s the best place to chill in Seattle. KEXP with caffeine. . . this is so good. The cushy chairs with small tables for two is a blend of European and modern cafe. Great atmosphere and centrally located in a great neighborhood. If you want to know about Marzocco this is the place to visit. KEXP is sharing the space—Awesome!! In house concert on a weekly basis.

Google
Favorite coffee shop in Seattle. Came here twice during my visit to the PNW. Super chill (hipster) vibe, extremely spacious, nice natural lighting, lots of different kinds of seating available, in-house radio station, and great coffee for all types of coffee drinkers out there- from the basic latte drinker to the more adventurous acid phosphate consumer (yes, they have an espresso drink that uses acid phosphate!).

Yelp
The coffee is great! Also, if you get filtered coffee there, you can get refills at $1 or so. If you are lucky like coffee is end of pot, then you get it for free! Service is great too. Staffs are friendly. It seems lots of people use this place to work. They have a bunch of tables/chairs and sofas. They have wifi as well. Outlet seems to be limited. Parking in the area is street parking. You might be able to park at the nearby Safeway but probably not for long time.

Yelp
I recently discovered Caffe Vita at KEXP, a big coffee shop and live radio studio. I love that it is extremely spacious with chairs, tables and couches. It's a great spot if you want to hang out, read, or get some work done. I even saw a bunch of people doing crafts! It can get pretty loud (especially at peak hours on the weekend), but I found sitting at the corner spots to be more quiet. Even if it's super crowded, you'll likely be able to find a seat at their communal tables. Also a bonus that they're dog friendly. They have all your classic coffee drinks, some specialty drinks and pastries from sea wolf. I got a cortado and it was pretty decent.

Yelp
How I heard of this place: While spending the day at the Seattle, Center, we had a couple of hours to enjoy a treat before going to a show at the Seattle Children's Theater, and found ourselves most intrigued by Caffee Vita's online offerings. Type of cuisine: A coffee shop with espresso and other beverages, a selection of teas, smoothies, baked goods provided by Sea Wolf. Ambiance: An extensive, airy, open space with plenty of "living room" options for seating gatherings of all sizes. Couches and coffee tables, dining tables and chairs, lounging seats on the stage and more welcome guests. The amber lighting offers a warm glow. It's so large, on this particular day, we saw one child riding a balance bike throughout the establishment, while others giggled and laughed as they ran around the "living room" where their adults were seated, chatting. The glorious sounds of people enjoying themselves over coffee and pastries is truly what makes the space feel most like your home away from home. What I ordered: We selected the Maple Bar Latte & Cheddar Lye Roll for me, and the Fruity Pebbles Donut Factory donut & vegan Jonboy caramel steamed milk for my little one. What I loved: The latte was smooth, balanced and offered sweet notes of fudginess with each sip. The Cheddar Lye Roll's only downside: it was too small and finished sooner that I'd liked. Why I loved it: The space is open and welcomes all. It's free and easy vibes make for an enjoyable, relaxing visit. Cost: High

Yelp
We came here after the Premier. It was a really nice hall and huge! Plenty of space for a party. It reminds me of the artistry in Kakaako. Except this place has glass windows to see in and out and it seems cleaner. The radio station who promoted the movie in Seattle was here too. So we got to have some regular jams and someone was able to play some local music from Hawaii too. We had a great time! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality and for hosting us. I know I and some photos of us here, I just have to look for them. I'll try to post them later. Sorry. But thanks for reading. Great place for parties, promos and anything big.

Shalyn M.

Yelp
Amazingly good coffee and music playing. Im from Texas so seeing the free sanitary pads was really refreshing. Sweet baristas and customers.

Eric O.

Yelp
Oatmilk tastes horrible, they need a better brand for their drinks. Disappointed. Wish I had tried it before I left cuz I would've gotten a refund. The coffee used to be good but has gone downhill. 2 stars cuz the food is good, but it's not even vita brand food

Nicole I.

Yelp
Friendly service, great selection of roasted beans, great airy and open atmosphere with plenty of seating, delicious drink. I really enjoyed the campfire mocha. I don't like my drinks very sweet, and almost always get them "less sweet". However, this drink was perfect at the recommended amount.

Chris L.

Yelp
Was walking by and wanted to check out the unique space of a coffee shop with a radio station. The inside has a funky design/decor and the barista was really friendly - he told my kids all the options for syrups to put in their steamers. I got a latte and my wife got a drip coffee. We enjoyed the beverages on a cool day, walking over to the space needle to check it out.

Alana N.

Yelp
Very unique vibes. Wide open space with live radio recordings. Bright and open space. Good selection of coffee and somewhat basic selection of bites. Friendly staff!

Yaminee P.

Yelp
10/10 always good vibes at KEXP! I love coming here early in the morning when it's quiet and you can really focus on the music. The combination of radio station and coffee shop is genius. I love cafe vitas lattes, chai, and bakery items. Everyone here is also lovely and kind. One gripe, I do wish there was more seating. The space is HUGE but the spacing is really spread out so when it fills up you can really find a seat.

Virg Y.

Yelp
Big airy space with friendly staff, baked goods from Sea Wolf, good drinks, and a super chill ambiance. Ample seating at small and communal tables, plus living room spaces. You can even lounge on the stage.

Nancy M.

Yelp
Great space and artful vibes pulsate throughout the large space -light filled with views of the space needle and Climate Pledge arena. Service for the Caffe was friendly and cared...I so enjoyed my cappuccino while sitting and sipping listening to KEXP radio DJ turn his tunes. Squash bread was moist and delish. A must visit if in the area. You can feel the care and respect to the arts, culture and caffe!

Valerie Y.

Yelp
I was super excited to try Caffe Vita since it's in KEXP, but I was pretty disappointed with my drink. I first dropped by on a weekday, but was told they were out of the cookie cereal used for the drink. Then, I stopped by on a weekend afternoon, and the line was crazy - it probably took like 15 minutes just to order. Fortunately, my drink was made immediately, so I didn't have to wait any longer. I got the Cookie Cereal Oat Milk Latte Slushy (what a name), since it was a really hot day. I didn't really taste the cookie cereal... honestly, just felt like a latte in slushy form. I felt like the drink was pretty overpriced for what it was, would not come back again.

Yelp
Last time I was here, it was La Marzocco at KEXP Studios back in July 2016. Wow - six years ago! Time for an update with Caffe Vita onsite. The Homie and I just saw the last regular season Seattle Storm game vs Las Vegas Aces at Climate Pledge Arena on 8/7/22. We had no concessions during the game, so decided to grab some refreshments before heading back to the car. The Homie originally wanted an orange soda espresso drink, but the barista substituted strawberry instead. It was deemed tasty and packed a punch on his empty stomach! I had my usual iced mocha and yes, agreed that the barista did a great job. Nice balance of pulled shots with ice, milk, and chocolate. Long line, but moved swiftly because of their efficient system having a cashier and up to three baristas at the station. The immediate seating area of varying configurations was full of the usual sea of laptops, some Storm-Aces attendees, and others visiting Seattle Center. Nice to see its association with KEXP Studios and noticed an onsite vinyl shop too. Usually I visit Caffe Vita over in Capitol Hill at 10th and E Pike. Good to know that there's this site in Queen Anne/Seattle Center and another one in Fremont. Worthy indie stop at any of these sites!

Yelp
A super cool idea and use of space, but definitely pricey and not memorable coffee. The ambience was awesome. You could hear them recording the radio show, and the open layout had an indoor-outdoor vibe. People were studying, playing with their pets, mingling, all the good things a coffee shop can offer! There is even a small record store inside. That being said, I had a basic basic americano, no cream or anything, and still paid like $6. The space was clean-looking but definitely cluttered like they had just had a rush. My drink was pretty bad, even for such a simple drink which i feel is hard to mess up. The espresso tasted burnt and watered down, and I ended up trashing about half of it, which stung because it was so expensive. Also, the outlet at my table didn't work, which would be a major bummer if I came here to get work done.

Coco G.

Yelp
Caffe Vita at KEXP is a cool venue! Huge floor space with plenty of seating (lounge chairs, couches, barstools and metal straight backed chairs). Quick friendly service for your coffee cravings. The coffee shop opens at 7 and the radio station opens at 9. There's a stage at one end where you can see the "ON AIR" sign. Inconspicuous during the day is the disco ball above the middle of the floor. I picture a band playing on the stage and the floor cleared for dancing or mingling with cocktails on weekends. Check it out! Their plain croissants are buttery and satisfying, the medium roast drip coffee delicious, the chai tea latte subtle/frothy/not overly sweet. If I lived in Seattle, I'd become a regular!

Helen L.

Yelp
My go to for iced mochas and lattes! The inside of the cafe is joined together with a radio station so the ambiance is really cool and there's a small record shop inside! There's also lots of seating but only a few spots are near outlets and those are near the wall. They serve all the typical coffee shop items and have a small seasonal drink menu. They also sell food and pastries. I always get iced mochas and lattes and highly recommend them! The coffee is strong and the milk doesn't overpower the coffee flavor.

Angela S.

Yelp
Cool vibes all around, can buy records and listen to live music. Love the location and outside venue

Antorris W.

Yelp
Come here often for coffee because it is convenient. I love the coffee. I even shipped some to my cousin in the Bahamas. The space is quiet and family friendly. Cleanliness and friendliness is never a problem, it's apart of store culture. This place is definitely a vibe if you need to just relax.

Christine L.

Yelp
Random but i sometimes dream about their $5 breakfast burrito. PROTIP: have them heat it up for you before serving. Great ambiance, good coffee. Obvious the cool spot in town where the cool kids hang. Close to the space needle / chihuly gardens so you might get some families/tourists (like me lol) Parking is kind of a hassle. but maybe thats a Seattle thing.

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Beautiful space. I can't believe it took me so long to finally come check this place out. The iced latte was delicious and baristas were so friendly and gave my dog a puppuccino they also have a great vinyl selection so you can get some shopping done

Richard U.

Yelp
So glad this coffee space is back! Used to be the La Marzocco cafe, now it's a Caffe Vita. Nice selection of coffee products but I went with a Costa Rican single origin roast pour over which was delicious. Love the self serve sparkling water dispenser so i can drink the bubbly to my hearts content. The cavernous space is great for chilling out or getting some work done or peruse some vinyl at the little record store attached. Having KEXP radio right there for you to listen to and even peer into the broadcast booth is a special kind of awesome! A special place to get your caffeine fix at the Seattle Center!

Brian L.

Yelp
Having lived on Capitol Hill and frequenting Caffe Vita there, I know it's the good stuff. This place didn't exist when I lived in Seattle, but damn is it cool! It's a really nice hybrid of a modern stone slab exposed duct sort of coffee house and a modern stone slab exposed duct sort of record shop. The record shop element is just a little corner, but still a fair amount to peruse. There are lots of doors that are for employees of Vita/KEXP throughout the building, and you can see right into the sound booth where broadcasts are made from. There's a fairly large amount of seating with chairs and tables, and an adequate amount of lounge chairs and couches as well. In the middle of the day on Monday, there was plenty of seating in both areas. I would gladly frequent a place like this if it was in my neighborhood. Hearing the KEXP broadcast over the speakers at an appropriate volume really brought back high school memories of blissful ignorance, confusion, apathy, happiness, and optimism. Where did those years go?

Sara V.

Yelp
We love cafe vita and sometimes run into our friends/neighbors here, it's a really great place to visit and enjoy food, music, coffee, even live radio broadcast its really an interesting place. Their toasted sandwiches and coffees are good and they have assorted pastries and other pre-packaged items. We got a Chicken bacon sandwich, chocolate coronet pastry, sausage sandwich, Macha tea and Orange soda espresso The orange soda espresso was a bit too experimental for us but the macha ice tea was smooth and delicious.

Krystal A.

Yelp
Love the ambiance here. So chill and the coffee is delicious. One of my go tos in Seattle center

Minna A.

Yelp
The space is really cool, but the matcha here is BAD. It kind of has like a reminiscence of grass. 10/10 would come back to enjoy the space, but definitely not the matcha.

Anne D.

Yelp
Bougie, hipster place. I'm used to down-to-earth coffee shops like Boon Boona, Hood Famous, Coffeeholic, and Leon Coffee House so when I walked in here I felt bad vibes. I was going to an event at Climate Pledge and needed a quick caffeine fix. I walked up to the area that had merch then went up to the cash register. Nobody was there except 2 baristas who were at the espresso machine. The girl kept talking to her co-worker and continued to ignore me. No "Hello", no "Someone will be right with you". She was loud and self-absorbed. It wasn't even busy; nobody ahead of me and nobody behind me. Finally another employee came to the register and rung me up. I'm all for supporting local businesses but if I knew I was going to be ignored I would have spent my time and money at some other coffee shop around Westlake Mall or in the Armory. Vita's coffee wasn't even all that great. I drank maybe 25% then tossed it in the garbage. Only reason why people show up here is cuz they're mooching off that free wi-fi that KEXP provides. I get it, I was a broke college student too. As I walked out I noticed there weren't many people with coffee in hand. Considering this coffee shop is right outside Climate Pledge Arena, which holds up to 18,100 people, I noticed a really low review count on this coffee shop....I should have checked the reviews before popping in here. The red flags were all there. Next time I make my way to Climate Pledge I'll grab coffee near Chinatown or Westlake.

Ben S.

Yelp
Great little coffee shop inside of KEXP right by the Space Needle & Climate Pledge. The baristas there took great care with my beverage and the ambiance of the surrounding space is great. I had my first one and one and it was a great new offering for me to try. They also offered seltzer water with my drink which is a sign of class for sure. I'd return, even if I just needed an afternoon coffee and I was in the neighborhood.

Mortan S.

Yelp
Super slick baristas, possibly taking the whole thing a little too seriously, but that's fine. Large space with tables spread out, a small used record store. It ain't cheap, but like I say they're very serious! Spacious.

Jasmine A.

Yelp
Good coffee, nice service, great ambiance - plenty of space for everyone. Easy to find street parking.

Teresa T.

Yelp
First, the pros- this Café Vita location has *great* ambiance. It feels natural yet utterly cool. On the pragmatic side there are plenty of tables & chairs with good traffic flow. By that I mean you can actually get around without turning sideways & sucking your tummy in (or maybe just my tummy!) to get to your table. I hadn't thought about wheelchairs, but I think a wheelchair could get through here reasonably also? When I go back, I'll check about that & add to this review. Decent lighting & not too loud; I'd bring office work here in a heartbeat. I'm biased about the coffee as I looooove Cafe Vita coffee beans. These are my go-to beans for my cold brew! So I do like the coffee here. There's nothing notable about how they brew it, but I didn't think the brew was bad either. I'd call it an ok brewing process with a great (to me anyway) coffee bean. I got a gluten free chocolate batter/blueberry muffin that was good. About to check out, I saw little packets of 25mg CBD water soluble isolate for $3.50 each. I was getting a tattoo that day, so heck ya! Coffee, muffin, & CBD came to $14.50 before tipping. That seems a great price for great coffee & muffin (+CBD), I'm not sure it's worth the price for a good muffin & coffee. I'd make this a place to stop on occasion for the ambiance, ish coffee & noms, even with the prices. This café is easy to miss, even with 2 entrances- one street side and the other door looking out into the Key Arena. If it's your first time seeking it out, you might find it easier to look for the KEXP radio station that shares the same building.

John B.

Yelp
The two on bar making drinks are always phenomenal when it comes to anything (espresso machine not pulling shots as fast or up to par quality wise when they're absolutely slammed), which is why this place gets a 5 star review as they really set the tone and remain very professional/friendly no matter what. The only thing I would say is that the person on register wasn't the friendliest when I asked if they were having trouble with their espresso machine (I used to work in coffee so I saw they were having issues) and wanted to ask if ordering a non espresso drink would lighten the work load on them, but she very quickly dismissed me and obviously wasn't in the mood to talk, so I just ordered my oat milk mocha, maybe she's new or just was a little stressed, but otherwise, this team absolutely kills it's every time I come in!

Jiliane R.

Yelp
One of my favorite places for coffee ever..: record shop, radio station, and awesome cafe all in one very cool spot.

Izzy H.

Yelp
LOVED this place. Baristas were super nice and friendly; coffee (oat milk cappuccino) was delicious as is; the environment of being located in that free coworking space made me want to move to Seattle; food was good too!! You can't go wrong here. :)

Scott F.

Yelp
Exactly what I'd pictured a Seattle coffeehouse being. Awesome music. Lots of space to work/study/hang. Super friendly staff. Creative drinks. Yum Pastries. With a record store to boot.

Daniel R.

Yelp
We ordered the Stressless Hot Cocoa which wasn't quite stress free thanks to the customer service provided. The drinks were amazing, but the person who helped was quite rude. I asked a question about a item for sale and they responded with "I can't see around the corner so I don't know what you're talking about". The place had a cool atmosphere, but with that level of service it's not worth visiting more than once.

Larissa W.

Yelp
Some of the best -- if not the best coffee I've ever had. The environment is really nice too. It's certainly a place where you could meet up with friends or clients if you worked in a creative field. We arrived around 4pm on the Monday of a holiday weekend (indigenous Peoples Day) and the radio hosts were in the booth which was a pretty cool sight. The entire place simultaneously felt relaxed and vibrant with energy. I would certainly return for the 'Miso caramel latte' or the 'lavender latte' -- but make sure you size up because doubtless you'll want more!

Christina H.

Yelp
This place is 5 out of 5 chill. Good coffee. No matter what style you take your coffee, the wonderful barista there will make it for you. It is right next to KEXP station, so you get the best radio station in the area for free. Sitting area is spacious. Good for family and casual gathering. Caution: Chairs are not designed for long sitting period.

Les M.

Yelp
Spacious, very relaxed "living room" with high ceilings, a variety of seating, lighting. The nitro cold brew ($5.50, 16 oz.) is decent. The eastern wall is windows that look out onto a courtyard of plane trees, planted in a manner that reminds me of the "allees" in the Tuileries Gardens. Only non-alcoholic beverages. I don't think there is any food. A nice alternative to the cozy but cramped coffeehouses like Cafe Ladro, etc. Piped in music is not loud, so one can actually have a conversation or work. It must have changed hands, as there is only one other review.

Joel S.

Yelp
Two great things in one building! I'm a sucker for Vita. I have to admit that. This location is like the others but better! I'd you don't already know why you should check it out. They have some miscellaneous merch near the registers like hoodies, tshirts and even guitar picks. They also sell local snack items like they do in their other locations. The seating is what makes this place. Wide open and plenty to look at. Looking towards the courtyard you can see into Seattle Center and watch the clouds go by. KEXP is broadcast around the world and you can see the studio through the window as you enjoy your drink. It's fairly quiet inside so you won't have to talk over music if you bring a friend. Go in and grab a cup of KEXP blend drip coffee and enjoy the ambiance.

Beau S.

Yelp
espresso means no depresso ! This is such a cool spot and would be a good date /alternative location for sure . I love the espresso here a lot and the formal setting for it. I havent had any food so I cant comment on that.

Nate P.

Yelp
Great coffee (Sevilla), good food (li'l breakfast burritos), great service, great ambience (KEXP radio)!

Mark H.

Yelp
Cheerful, happy staff - even when busy, great place to get a coffee before a Kraken game, highly recommend

Vera W.

Yelp
Very good place to work or study. Lots of tables, natural light, decor, outlets, coffee, it has everything

Christy P.

Yelp
Such a cool space. Spacious, full of local history, and a free water station. I came here after navigating crowds at seattle center and it was such a refuge.

Noriyasu L.

Yelp
Nice cafe in uptown and near the CPA. Caffe vita always has quality coffee and love getting my beans here too. Nice little recordshop inside the cafe, and plenty of tables to sit at (one of the best places in seattle to get some coffee and work done)

Tricia E.

Yelp
This is a great addition to the neighborhood. The coffee is really good and drip coffee of any size is $1 before 8am so I always treat myself if I'm up earlier. Oat milk latte is perfection but pricey. They also have seasonal drinks which are fun, I've tried the cookie butter latte which was warming, spicy and not to sweet. Really open space with KEXP playing and a record shop inside. Lots of people like to work here but limited outlets. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Akshay S.

Yelp
Awesome tasting coffee and a great place to vibe. Try their expresso cocktails if you like expresso drinks

Joe B.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of KEXP and I love coffee, so when the two go together I always know I'm in for a good time. The Caffe Vita at this location is more special than the others and I don't know how much of that is by the Vita's own intention or just the nature of the shared space. The baristas are extremely friendly, especially for folks who face a constant stream of tourist crowds day in and day out. I've gotten simple coffees here several times but I only recently noticed that there are special seasonal creations and I finally indulged at my last visit. It was hard to turn down the orange creamsicle drink that they were heavily promoting at the time, but I had my heart set on one of these classic bourbon mocktails they've been making using cold brew and Pathfinder spirits. The barista steered me to the Manhattan and I was very happy with that choice. Since they recommended serving it in a glass, I was "forced" to stay and drink it there, which didn't twist my arm too much as I love the big, artsy, well-lit coffeehouse vibe they've created in that room. And of course, there's always good music to listen to while I sip. A+ for the KEXP Vita.
