La Mediterranée - Review - Fillmore - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"La Mediterranée is the spot to hit when you don’t care what you look like, but just need to eat some meat on a stick as soon as possible. The pomegranate chicken is a must, and the lamb meatballs and lentil salad should also be on your table. It’s a casual place for brunch or lunch on a sunny day with multiple street tables, but they also deliver in case you don’t want to leave your apartment. It’s some of the better and cheaper Mediterranean food you can get in the city, and it always comes through in a pinch." - Taylor Abrams

Where To Eat And Drink Near SF’s Music Venues - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"If you don’t want to go full-burger mode, but can’t sit forever, try La Mediterranee on Fillmore. This is one of our favorite places to get takeout, but it’s also great for a quick dinner pre-show. We love the pomegranate chicken, but the rest of the menu is great, too. They also have a solid (and reasonably priced) beverage list with beer and wine from Greece." - will kamensky

19 Great Places To Eat Something Kind Of Healthy - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"There are a few La Meds around the city, but the Noe and Fillmore locations have the option to sit and eat instead of just getting takeout, which makes it a good place to go on a random weeknight when steaming vegetables sounds more painful than actually sorting through your junk email. If you’re a little more hungry, start out with some pita and dips, but when it comes to mains, order the pomegranate chicken." - taylor abrams, will kamensky

A Mysterious Fillmore District Real Estate Buyer Appears to Be Forcing Restaurants and Shops Out | Eater SF

"At La Mediterranee, owner Der Bedrossian says the building's new landlord told them that when their lease expires the landlord will perform seismic retrofitting and then seek high-end retail tenants — a plan he called “disappointing.” The restaurant is one of several long-running Fillmore Street businesses caught up in a series of six building purchases between Pine and Clay streets (deals reported to total upwards of $40 million) made through connected LLCs; small business owners say negotiations over leases or buyouts with the new landlord have largely gone nowhere, raising fears the corridor could be reshaped for higher-end retail." - Dianne de Guzman

The Best Restaurants in the Castro | Eater SF

"La Med has been holding it down as a neighborhood favorite at this location since 1981, serving Armenian and Lebanese family recipes at affordable prices. Whenever they reopen, the sidewalk tables are a sunny brunch spot, and in the meantime, the shawarma, kafta, and kebabs are good to go." - Becky Duffett
