La Michoacana

If u don't speak Spanish they kind of give u an attitude ! Don't know y but made me feel out of place for being white! Food nothing special ..just ice cream and yogurt with normal toppings ! Brightly decorated and pretty ...attitude of the girl behind the counter really turned me off tho !

The atmosphere is great, compared to other convinence stores it is very clean and well maintained

I’m a little upset that I just purchased a lot of items with all my kids chicharrones, limonada de chia, yogurt, mangoneada and a torta Hawaiina I have never purchased a cold hawaiina ever!!! Who ever was working tonight 12/5/21 from 8 to 9 ish did not even make the effort to toast not even the bread my ham wasn’t lightly cooked, pineapple wasn’t lightly cooked my whole sandwich was cold to the touch I am so disappointed and they weren’t even busy. I wish I would’ve taken a picture of the rest but this sandwich was so cold not Mexican style cooked or tossed a little on the grill like it should be 😭 overall I’ve liked this place but tonight this women really hit a nerve 😢

Nice place to go and get delicious ice cream.

Some know how to do their jobs but some don’t. Coming from working in the food industry, first come first serve. Just because you see a big group that’s first in line & hasn’t been attended doesn’t mean you skip to the next person. On top of that I’ve come during times when there’s a good line & there’s just a worker chilling in the back on their phone? Honestly the girl that takes my order works too hard she deserves a better co worker.

missing the old worker ladies who used to run the michoacana!!! now i can't get elotes when they open & they charge extra for cheese/mayo at the bottom. bring back the old owners 😩

Ok so this was my favorite but but I'm not coming here because I'm not getting my money's worth management probably has told the ladies not to put a lot of fruit in the cups or this lady who's working at this time 3:54 p.m. Monday did not put much fruit in my yogurt she says that it doesn't go with too much fruit absolutely not another places they even move the plastic container to move all of the fruit around in order to fill it up with the yogurt because it's got so much amount of fruit I will post pictures here of other places to compare. Definitely downgrading service completely. The strawberry pictures is from another michuacana. So get your money's worth if fruit here on Lawrence place. You paying for it

We've been coming to this place since it opened , and every time there's an issue . First of all their service is terrible , they don't even greet customers when you walk it. Second , every single time I pay a different amount for the same product , but today was an exaggeration. Ordered 2 small ice creams in a cup and asked if they can put a little chamoy sauce on one of them , when paying she charged me a mangonada instead of the ice cream cup. Seriously ???? $2.49 more just for adding some chamoy ???? That is ridiculous!!!!! I don't mind paying an extra charge for the sauce but $2.49 was way too much. Never coming back to this place . If you go there Ask for a receipt and check your paths prices .

Never had a bad experience at a la Michocana before.....but this location under delivers. We thought there was enough to get two XL mangonadas but it was not filled to the normal height and we were still charged for the XL instead of a L or something, AND extra for the tamarind sticks that the server kept "forgetting". Not only was the portioning of all toppings lacking in general, the diced mangos tasted over frozen. Giving this 2 stars instead of a 1 because we love la Michocana and the server seems like a nice person but would recommend other locations as this is definitely the worst mangonada we have had.....

This is possibly one of the best and freshest ice creams I have ever had. It was my first time in Chicago with my friends and we were so glad we came here. The workers were kind and the ice cream - WOW! This is what I call a treat. The place is in a gas station but it looks super colorful and welcoming. We got the Fresca strawberry shake, the Ferraro Rocher chocolate shake, and coconut bar. Yummm, I wish I could just go back.

Wow. I was driving down Lawrence and saw this cutie cute pink place in the gas station. I turned the car around and had to check it out. Everything here caught my eye! Every flavor of fruity ice pop you could want! I had the maracuya (passionfruit) and it was so deliciously sweet and sour, with the nice crunch of the seeds. I can't wait to check it out again!

Ice cream shop inside the brand new Mobil gas station. Everything is super clean. Really good variety of ice cream flavors, paletas, churros, chicharrones, smoothies, juices, elotes. Also there is a lot of seating. Wayyyyyy surpasses my expectations

Ice cream! Paletas! Elotes! Tres leches! All the delicious things and a nice variety of candy and Jarritos soda. This is the place to indulge your sweet tooth.

This spot is not far from my apartment. It hard to find, sort of inside a Mobile gas station but I googled and found it. They have all sorts of treats like ice cream, ice cream bars, pallets (fruit pops that are frozen), milk shakes, etc. I had a strawberry paleta and it was totally delicious. I will be back now that I know where to find it!!

Terrible customer service I've ever had at a michoacana location. Today I walked in to order food. There was absolutely no customers nor anyone behind the bar. As I waited, a lady from behind the chicken bar pops out and looks at me. She stood quiet and kept waiting. Another girl popped her head out from the back and saw me and went back in. After waiting, she yelled from across the chicken bar if I was ready and if so what did I want and I nodded yes and told her what I wanted. She took her time to come to the front bar when suddenly another customer walked up to ask her for mac and cheese and other stuff in Spanish. She ignored me and began helping him not knowing I spoke Spanish as well. I decided to walk away and not order before I said something of how flabbergasted I was. I've alwAys heard of how bad the customer service is here and today I witnessed it. No wonder it's always empty and customer rather go to the other Lawrence locations. Pinche vieja pen... - someone let her know that. Thank you

This place has gone down a lot! For the third time they forget one of the items I ordered and tried giving them a call for over 30 mins but it seems they disconnect the phone.

Muy mala experiencia por primera vez que voy en persona a comprar siempre ordeno por online , hoy 4/16/2022 hora 9:34:54 pm me attendio una joven muy amable cuando ya tenia mi orden para pagar le pedi a la joven si me ponia un pastico en mis yogures ya que cuando ordeno por online siempre me lo mandan con un pastico ariba para que no se tire el producto yo no pense que tenian las tapas para esos basos ya que siempre que ordeno me lo mandan con plastico bueno le dije a la joven amablemente si me lo ponia un plastico y ella amablemente me dijo que si pero una compańera de ella que vestia polo rosado y jeans azul me contesto con una actitud grosera y de mala manera como que si le ubiera dicho a ella me dijo pa la proxima pidelo con una tapa de una manera altanera y grosera sin yo averle pedido a ella se metio sin haberla llamado cuando su compañera amablemente me lo estaba poniendo el plastico , hay que educarla o darle clases de modales y que aprenda que el cliente no tiene la culpa de su mal dia o de que tenga problemas en su casa, espero puedan orientarla y que aprenda a atender bien la gente , por personas como ella es que la gente deja de ir a un lugar que tiene cosas buenas y deliciosas porque no me quejo de la comida si no de la atención de la seńora , recalco la comida es buena y de muy buena calidad y los precios son excelentes pero la atención de esa mujer muy mala !! Y quiero darle gracias a la que me atendio que fue amable y muy profecional gracias

We loved the ice cream at this place! They have lots of different flavors to choose from. It is located inside a mobile gas station. They have ice cream bars, shakes, and they even have elote! We will definitely be back for after dinner dessert.

Yummy yummy yummy. Must taste all the flavors. People are very friendly and they can make some amazing combinations. Wish there was one closer.
