Mai Kitchen - Review - Virginia-Highland - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Whoever designed the interior of Mai Kitchen in VA Highlands had a love affair with cut-out shelves—they are everywhere and stuffed with bottles, flowers, and other knick knacks. The giant white-domed lighting fixtures make you feel like you might be beamed up at any moment. But it all pulls together to give off laid-back yet trendy vibes that we kinda dig. With only three pho options, it’s easy to feel a little cheated—until you taste the broth. Good things take time, so it’s marinated for a full 24 hours and is so hearty that you might be tempted to drink only the broth. The meat isn’t quite as good as its sister restaurant, Anh’s Kitchen (the brisket is a little tough while the filet mignon is solid), but the broth and perfectly cooked noodles make up for it." - Juli Horsford

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ La Moon is a must do—our first visit was nothing short of outstanding! From the moment we walked in, the authentic music set the perfect dreamy dinner vibe, transporting us into a relaxed, joyful evening. The drinks were a highlight: the Midnight Moon was delicious with stunning presentation, and the Lion’s Tail was incredibly refreshing—both cocktails we’d order again in a heartbeat. For appetizers, the chicken gyoza were perfect—crisp, flavorful, and so good we immediately ordered a second round. The yellowtail carpaccio was spectacular, with flawless marination that melted in your mouth. Dinner elevated everything: the grilled salmon with panang sauce was bursting with flavor, beautifully plated in a unique style, and perfectly portioned. The Kao Mok with steak was a winner too—paired with fragrant pineapple fried rice and a vibrant chimichurri sauce, it was comfort food done right. Service was warm, attentive, and genuinely delightful. We were seated right away, and every staff member was super friendly, engaging, and full of great recommendations with clear expertise. They even made adorable faces at our 1-year-old, turning a family dinner into a heartwarming experience. We’re already planning our return to explore more of the menu. La Moon delivers excellence in every detail—highly recommend!

I absolutely love the vibe here and the food. Let’s dive in. They sit you down fairly quickly and they have bar seating as well. They have so many great cocktails and mocktails. The art on the walls is my favorite ambiance of this place. The food is so yummy I don’t mind the price. The green beans and chicken gyozas are my fave 1000/10. The shaken beef comes with white rice but I substitute mine for fried rice which is to die for. They have valet parking in the back that is free for customers. The service is actually really well my only thing is if you sit in the back like I enjoy doing sometimes it’s hard to flag the server cause if you’re out of sight. I eat fast so I be ready to pay on my last bite. Other than that I go frequently and still enjoy every bit of this place.

Google
This spot is my new go-to for Asian fusion in the Virginia Highlands. The dining space is both cozy and chic, and the menu is full of flavor. I've been twice and have thoroughly enjoyed every meal. The food is always fresh and the service is excellent.

Had a lovely dinner at La Moon last weekend with a table next to the (open) front window, a 10/10 spot for dog watching in VaHi. Started with the garlic green beans, crab filled cheese rolls, gyoza, and wings. Gyoza was good, the cheese rolls were a bit small, and the green beans and wings were both great. My wife had the Drunken Lo Mein which was an interesting take on drunken noodles. I had the Shaken Beef which was solid. Overall cool space in a great area of town.

Google
Just go. Order anything, it's ALL excellent! I dream about those green beans. Hell even the water is good. When was the last time you had really good water? Service was impeccable. Our server was wonderful! She knew the different dishes, made recommendations, and was just a cool vibe to talk to as well. Prices fair for the quality. Nice little date night spot. It's hubby and I new favorite spot without the kids.

Google
Five stars all around. The calamari was the best I've ever had; and it's gluten free! They even made fried tofu yummy. Soups were great. Yellowtail Carpaccio was excellent. Cocktails were outstanding. The service was stellar. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Google
So good and fun! I really enjoyed coming here. Would recommend getting the cocktails They said it was a long wait for food but it wasn’t. Definitely good service! Had a great time

Google
We looove this place! Living in Vahi, this is the best restaurant we have found here so far. I have loved everything I have ordered but my favorites are the Crispy Tofu and the Pad Thai. Service is good, and the food comes out really quickly. I love the decor and vibe inside AND they have a patio (who knew?!)!

Yelp
We came as a party of 6 on a Monday night and it was busy! Took a 20 minute wait but you already know it's popular We ordered 2 appetizers and 4 mains with drinks as well. And were welcomed with extremely warm attitude by our servers and the owners. The ambiance is definitely a bit louder but everything was as perfect as it could. The owners gave us so much attention and made sure we were treated well. Number one will recommend for a dinner! Will come back again

Yelp
I really enjoyed La Moon but had a couple issues stopping me from going 4 stars. First, it is a cute Asian fusion restaurant and I love that they are able to open their front wall to allow the air in and provide an open atmosphere. We were sat right in front and were very comfortable and still got to enjoy the Virginia Highlands energy. First reason, however, I can't go 5 stars is service. Our server was very nice but also very absent. Tables that got sat after us got served before us. If I had to guess I would say our server was enjoying some higher enlightenment, but I don't mean to disparage someone. I just mean she wasn't all there and may have been existing on another plane. We started with a couple of drinks. I don't remember mine or my wife's, so this is very unhelpful. I'm not sure I loved mine though. I know I didn't dislike it, but I also don't think I loved it. This is an incredibly unhelpful paragraph and I apologize. We also started with their mussels appetizer. It was delicious. The broth was amazing. But, it was also really small. For a mussels dish, there may have been a dozen mussels, maybe 15, and at least 5 were complete closed. So although it was good it was not worth the price. For entrees, my wife got the lemongrass tofu and I got the chicken and shrimp pad Thai. Starting with my wife's, it was delicious. I don't know how they got the tofu that crispy and flavorful-I've stir fried tofu with a sh*t ton of seasoning and sauce and never got it this good. Top marks for her dinner. As for mine-it was good, but the server (might have been the bartender) who dropped it off said he thought it was the best pad Thai he ever had. Okay, let's get into that. This gentleman was of Asian descent. I don't know his background but his confidence and profile made me believe I was about to eat the best pad Thai I've ever had. It really missed the mark. I tasted very different from a standard pad Thai, which is fine if it really is better, but it wasn't. It was good, and i definitely enjoyed it, but there was way too much confidence in his opinion for what I was served. While I recommend it, and I do think you'll enjoy it, it is a 4 star entree. I've had better pad Thai. And that's okay. This was very good, but his opinion was writing checks that the cooks couldn't cash. Also, just a side note, but can we do something about serving shrimp with the tail shell still attached? Why are we doing that? If it was a shrimp cocktail or something similar, fine. But this is a dinner with multiple ingredients. I'm supposed to eat it all together which is impossible if I have to de-shell the shrimp. Anyway, you will enjoy your meal here. It's a very good experience. It's just not the best. Bu I still highly recommend it.

Yelp
Loved every bite we had! Started with the Gyoza and green beans. Wow. A whole party in my mouth! For my entree I had the Drunken Lo Mein. Just enough spice to satisfy my tastebuds. My parents both had the salmon with fried rice. They enjoyed very much too. Kendall took great care of us. I can't wait to go back! I managed to find street parking - which I'm still shocked about. But there's valet behind the building if you're not so lucky. The ambiance was super cute too. We sat by the opened windows in the front and because the weather was just perfect today, the breeze coming in was amazing.

Yelp
Wandered in on a Monday night and were immediately seated as a group of 2. The interior of this place is beautiful. Moody, red lighting with plush booths and pillows. Service was friendly and attentive. She took our order quickly and came to check on us at all the right times. Ordered the dumplings, seafood hot pot, and pad thai. The dumplings were nice and in a tasty sweet soy sauce. The pad thai had great flavor and a variety of textures. It also had a healthy serving of shrimp and chicken. The seafood hot pot was my favorite by far! The soup was flavorful with a great balance of sour and spicy. I also loved the mushrooms and soft squid rings. My only critique is that the disposable chopsticks and plastic soup spoons don't fit the more upscale atmosphere.

Yelp
Came here with a friend for dinner tonight! I valet parked in the back and walked up the stairs, through the restaurant to the host stand, and gave the hostess my friend's name for our reservation. Just a few minutes after being seated, and given water, my friend found me at our table by the open window, and we caught up on life! The ambiance is very trendy, intimate, and stylish. We loved our table because we had a comfortable breeze gently blowing in and nice natural sunlight. Funny enough, my friend and I had the same top 3 entrée choices we were considering, so we decided to each pick one different option and share. I chose the shaken beef. It was very flavorful and delicious! While most of the pieces were tender and soft, some were pretty chewy. My friend got the drunken man lo mein. It was also very tasty, with a very subtle, enjoyable spice kick thanks to the peppers. Service was great! Our waitress was very kind and attentive, checking on us and making sure we didn't need anything, without rushing or making us feel overwhelmed. We were very comfortable here! My only reason for a less than 5 star review is simply because of price. While the portions were perfect for us girls, the price for what you're getting is very high. I look forward to coming back to try more delicious dishes. I plan to bring my fiancé next time since he wasn't able to make it tonight, but I already know that with him, we are going to have to share at least 4 or 5 dishes... and it won't be cheap!

Yelp
Was very excited to try La moon but ended up being a bit disappointed by the food. The ambiance is absolutely gorgeous for the small space and the service was also great, but unfortunately I felt like the food was lacking flavor. We came for a birthday dinner and had a table for 6 of us. I got to try dumplings, one of their noodle dishes, and I ordered the shaking beef for myself. Unfortunately I felt like all of the food was missing flavor that I'm used to with Vietnamese and Thai food. The meat was cooked super well and was tender, but there just wasn't any flavor. I'm not sure if I'll be back at La moon since there are soooo many options in the Virginia highland area.

Yelp
Wowowow-- there's SO much to like about La Moon. First of all, I'd describe it as the PERFECT date-night spot. Quaint and intimate setting, paired with vibrancy and energy that makes it sexy NOT tired. The food was to die for. The portions are also enough, to share, but necessitate ordering a few in my opinion. It's the perfect opportunity to try many of their MUST-TRY dishes... such as... - Gyozas (worth it) - Dumplings (could pass) - Mor-Din (unreal glass noodle, shrimp pork belly pot) - Kao-Mok (delish! Steak dish YUM) - Pad Thai Chicken & Shrimp (worth it, despite its mainstreamness!) See pics of the above attached. They were all so worth it, and the perfect amount of food for a two-person date-night

Yelp
La Moon has been on my radar for a little while. The way the restaurant is set up they have seating out front and windows in the front of the restaurant that open up to the restaurant feels inside/outside very cool! Food, let's talk about it. I tried that the cheese roll, Mussels, fried rice with salmon and the drunken lo mein. It was amazing!! What stole the show to me was the drunken lo mein and the mussel. The mussels were HUGE and the sauce it came it was out of this word, a little salty but nonetheless amazing. Such a great restaurant highly recommend. You're welcome! Also S/O to my sever Trent! Service was amazing!!

Yelp
Wow! Color me impressed. My server was friendly and struck the perfect balance between attentive and leaving me alone lol. The place is nicely decorated and dimly lit with upbeat music. I ordered the green beans and I was immediately a fan. They were perfectly cooked and nice and garlicky with some crunchy bits on top. No limp veggies to be found. For my main, I ordered the lemongrass tofu. This was different from others that I've had, but definitely not in a bad way. Usually lg tofu is more of a sautéed tofu and veg with a runnier sauce. This tofu was so crispy!! Like it had a thick crust that perfectly clung to the tofu cubes. The flavors were punchy! You need the contrast of the dull sticky rice in between bites. Honestly I loved it though. Lemongrass comes through as well as that salty, soy type taste. I will absolutely be back.

Yelp
I got this for takeout and got the crab fried rice and the dumplings. The dumplings were great, a perfect texture and flavorful. The crab fried rice was notably good, it had a good ratio of vegetables and meat. It felt like true fried rice by the texture and the taste, it was also priced well at $22. Takeout was quick and easy, it was cute inside.

I am so glad I stopped here for dinner. Incredible service, amazing food, immaculate vibes. Will be bringing all my friends next time, because wow. (The mango mousse... GET IT - Fantastic)

Yelp
Definitely checked off all of my boxes. Once I got word that this was a Thai Asian-Fusion spot, I was all in. For starters: parking was pretty convenient, which is great considering the busyness of the area. They offer complimentary valet, but if you get lucky you can also find parking on the local streets. When we walked in, I literally said out loud " WOW" b/c the ambiance was gorgeous, the lighting, the decor and the art...was already a great way to intro the night. We had the pleasure of having Lily as our server. She was soooooo great! Her energy is just the kind you want to be greeted with especially for your first time. For our drinks we started off with the Butterfly Kiss, and the Midnight Moon. The butterfly kiss was gin based, and the midnight moon is normally vodka based, but Lily gave a great suggestion to try it with Tequila. The midnight moon is basically a lychee martini (which is my absolute fave) so I was very curious to see how this would taste with tequila...and to my surprise it tasted better than the vodka version! It even came with these cute feathers attached too! (see pics) For our starters we ordered the Garlic Green Beans (10/10!!!!) and the Fried Tofu. Now, I am not a plant-based person, but that tofu was GOOOOD, and it was paired with this delicious sweet thai-chili sauce. For our entrees, we ordered the Black Pepper Shrimp and the Shaken Beef. Both were delicious and were paired with rice and vegetables. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and the beef was nice and tender. This is for sure a place I would frequent and bring my out of town friends to.

Yelp
The food was delicious!! Stopped by for lunch before heading to wine tasting. There's onsite parking behind the restaurant (paid, but I didn't see the sign until after I left so I'm not sure how much parking is). The restaurant is really clean and welcoming. Beautiful art work and good music to listen to while eating. The lunch portions are perfect for lunch. We started off with cheese rolls, shrimp, and dumplings and all were very good and seasoned. My friend had crab fried rice as her entree. We also ordered a Thai margarita and it was perfect! The server was very accommodating and allowed me to order from the dinner menu based on a picture I saw on Yelp. I ordered the Kao-Mok and it was amazing. 10oz ribeye with pineapple fried rice. Yum !! I'm craving it now. Definitely going back for dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
This has been on my list since they were called "Mai kitchen" and now I finally made it! I enjoyed my lunch here after church. Sitting in the front of the dining room allows for the perfect indoor/outdoor experience where it basically feels like you're sitting outside but not. We enjoyed all our food - I ordered the chicken tom kha and shaking beef. Both were very flavorful. My friend ordered the lo mein which was also tasty! Given that this is right in the middle of Virginia highlands it's also a great place to people watch :) there is complimentary valet parking behind the building.

Yelp
It was recommended that I try this place and I'm glad I did! Everything was delicious, service was great, and the atmosphere was welcoming!

Yelp
Food was a bit salty but the portions were great. Same with the drinks. Ambiance was nice but not too much to rave about. Just another dimly lit Asia fusion spot. Lucy the hostess was so fucking rude that it made me not even want to stay. We had a RSVP and she was nasty about it and didn't even walk us to the table. She just sat and pointed. WTF. Only slight saving grace was our server James. Really nice and gave us really good recommendations. Very attentive.

Yelp
A beautiful restaurant in the heart of Virginia highland. Gorgeous ambiance, excellent service and amazing food quality. We had the garlic beans - so good- the lemon grass tofu and the seafood pot. Clean ingredients and yummy taste. Just loved it!
google avatar

Yelp
Both the food & service were fantastic, pad thai, seafood hotpot & mango cheese are delicious!

Yelp
Nice decor, good food and great service. We had the calamari for an appetizer, the drunken lo mein & the chicken & shrimp pad Thai. All were very good, and the portions were perfect. Our server was very nice, & knowledgeable. Definitely recommend for a date or dinner with friends.
google avatar

Amber G.

Yelp
Server and host Lucy was extremely rude - she informed us to call next time if we are late for a reservation - I then told her we did call - no one answer and voicemail box was full. Thankfully our server Laura was super attentive and great - thank you! Yellow carpaccio was memorable and steamed dumplings tasty. I would come back for the ribeye dish! Shrimp Tom Kum was also tasty. Restaurant is small and cramped - I recommend sitting close to a wall if possible. I would return based on quality of the food and great service from Laura.

Yelp
AMBIANCE: small, tight space. Perfect for date night. Thai art decor. There's a distinct faint bothersome smell where I sat. Smelled like formaldehyde. It bothered me before and after I ate. My husband said he didn't smell it or didn't notice it. FOOD: we ordered mussels (5/5) and calamari (4/5) for starters and crabmeat fried rice (5/5), shrimp clay pot (4/5) and shaking beef (3/5) for entrees. Overall food was great. SERVICE: really nice server. Food came promptly.

Yelp
Came here for a girls dinner and really loved it! We ordered the gyoza which were tasty and i got the pad thai with tofu which was also tasty, hot, and had a little kick to it which I liked. I ordered the bangkok sky drink which tasted so good and did not taste like alcohol at all! The vibes and ambience were great with low lighting and nice decor. Are server was sweet and great. Definitely would come back again.

Yelp
Went to La Moon since it has been on my list to go for some time now. My wife had made reservations for us for a Friday evening. We were seated promptly once we arrived. Our waiter was a good waiter. We ordered cocktails and appetizers that included spring rolls and wings. For my entree I got the shrimp pad Thai. All of the food was delicious! Our drinks were well crafted as well. I will say that that the restaurant is a little tight because the table that was right behind us was really close. The downside was that when we were packing our leftovers my wife found hair in her food that we think came from our waiter. That disappointed us as we did enjoy our meals.

Tiffany R.

Yelp
The food was delicious!!!! It came out hot and so flavorful. Nice date night spot for sure!

Yelp
I was so impressed by the food at a recent Yelp event that I decided to drop in for lunch barely a week later. The restaurant is located in Virginia Highlands, one of Atlanta's most vibrant neighborhoods. Limited street parking is available and there is a small lot in the rear that has valet and a few reserved spaces for ParkMobile. I sat at the bar and was greeted promptly. There were only a few people in the restaurant around lunchtime. I studied the menu for a few days prior and knew exactly what I wanted to get. The Mai-tee cocktail is basically a mango margarita with a tajin rim. It was made very well. I also ordered Vietnamese wings, egg fried rice and shrimp spring rolls. The spring rolls were very fresh and delightful. The egg fried rice contained Vietnamese sausage and it was very flavorful. The wings were awesome! I asked for them to be fried hard and they arrived as requested. The sauce on the wings is mouthwatering. The restaurant is beautiful and quaint. The staff is welcoming and provided great service. I'm looking forward to returning and trying more of their delicious cuisine.

Yelp
I came here a Friday afternoon and traffic busy but parking was not hard to find. I parked on the residential street and walked one block to the venue. I know there is parking for the shops and restaurants that were closer but I took the first spot I saw. I did like that the restrooms were gender neutral. Both were single stall so it makes it easier to pull off but I know this means a great deal to many people. The inside of the bar has soft lighting and simple decor. The bar upfront is a nice touch. The tables on the inside are ideal for dates but can easily be put together for larger parties. The outdoor patio is a sight to behold. The outdoor patio can be enclosed in plastic for bad weather. The patio has plenty of plants. The outdoor patio seems to be set up for larger parties. This makes sense since large parties can be pretty loud and having them outside will not bother the inside guests. The first thing I ordered was the Egg Noodles with Chicken and Beef. It is a very tasty meal and quite filling. I was pleasantly surprised by all the vegetables that put in the dish. The Owner (David) is a good guy. He stopped by to make sure I was enjoying myself and liked the food. I asked him for recommendations and he mentioned the Salt Pepper Wings. Staff is really nice as well. The waitress ordered me some hot sauce on the side and that cup of sauce is packed with heat and flavor. I even poured some sauce on the noodles. Everything tasted great. I want to return when they have live music.

Yelp
The food here is really good. We stopped in here for lunch once and really enjoyed everything. I miss the lemongrass tofu from its predecessor, but the way it's prepared at la moon isn't bad. If you're in the area, I say give it a try.

Yelp
I'm so excited about all that this restaurant has to offer Vegetarian options are all that matter to me Great cocktails are a plus as well Many thanks to Yelp ATL for hosting such a great event I will be back for the Lemongrass Tofu it changed my life Many thanks to the staff for catering to our every need

Yelp
A great little spot to enjoy some awesome Asian fusion food. The staff treat you like family. A large menu selection to choose from. Sorry I forgot our server's name, but he was very personable and professional. Can't wait to go back and something else on the menu

Yelp
I was craving Vietnamese food and found the perfect Asian food/date spot here Virginia Highland. I love the ambience of the restaurant and the vibes here. Parking was a bit rough. There is a valley parking lot behind the restaurant but we were able to find street parking that was free. There's also paid parking around. We started off strong with a couple of shots with our bartender, Katherine. She was super sweet and we loved all the drinks she made for us. My favorite was Hojutsu. If you love yuzu drink, this is the one for you. We were also greeted by the owners, David and Lucy. They were super kind and welcoming. I have to say we found another gem in Atlanta. I was a bit worried but omg they really blew me away. Everything was so flavorful and authentic. It's hard to find authentic restaurant especially down in atlanta and we found it here. All the appetizers was great! My favorite was the Lobster Garlic Noodle and the Shaken Beef. The pho broth was the bomb! It really tasted like homemade. To end the night we got Green Tea Cheesecake. I have never never had anything like that but it was sooo good! We will be back for sure. This place is perfect for a date night or girls night or if you just want delicious food. I'll definitely be back here to try other dishes.
google avatar

Yelp
A new addition to the Virginia Highland area and offers a wonderful and authentic flair to the Asian cuisine in the neighborhood. With a full bar, mai has traditional/ authentic Vietnamese dishes like pho (beef $19) and Bahn mi ($12), with a couple appetizers and great vegan friendly dishes (lemongrass tofu $19). Bahn mi has one of the most quality meats ever. The lemongrass chicken was originally with vermicelli but subbed for rice. The eggrolls in the rice dish was sort of hard. The carafe of hot sake ($15) was fairly gross lol I would omit to something else like a lychee martini ($12). Service was decent with an open kitchen. Will def be back!
google avatar

Taylor R.

Yelp
Really nice and romantic spot for Asian cuisine. I ordered the curry which theu advertised as spicy but in my opinion wasn't at all. They bought out some Chiklis for me to add to it and that really made it soicyblike I like. The salt and pepper wings were delicious on their own but my friend and I asked for a side of the sauce thay comes on their other wing flavors to dip them in and they tasted pretty good that way as well. Our server was super attentive and friendly. We chatted with her a bit about the area and other restaurant the owner had. Can't wait to visit again. Those wings alone will keep me coming back. The drinks were well crafted as well.

Yelp
I was looking for somewhere nearby to have Thai food and this restaurant came upon my search. I'm so glad that I found it. I was able to park right on the street in front of the restaurant which was convenient. There is paid street parking and free street parking in the neighborhood. The restaurant has kind of like a garage door so you can be sitting inside and outside at the same time. I ordered the The panag chicken, it was really good. Everything I ordered was excellent. service was great. They actually closed midday, but I was on my computer doing some work and I didn't realize that and they let me stay which was really nice. I appreciated that. I recommend this restaurant anytime you're in Virginia Highlands.
google avatar

Rachel P.

Yelp
I think this is a place that one dish could be a 5/5 and another could be a 3/5. We ordered the Vietnamese style wings to start and they were tasty, I recommend. Then we both got vermicelli noodles. Don't get this dish if you want a ton of flavor. It wasn't bad, just boring. Def a cleaner dish and I can't fault them too much on it, I just wish it had more to offer. Drinks were just okay. Service was decent, nothing amazing, nothing bad. I probably won't be back because it wasn't good enough for the price, but it wasn't a bad meal.

La Moon is slowly becoming a staple for me! I love the dumplings and wings for appetizers. We order the crab fried rice and clay pot for entrees every time! The service is always quick and nice. The restaurant has a cool vibe that is also family friendly. New favorite in the highlands!

Yelp
An elegant Vietnamese bistro occupying prime real estate in Virginia Highland, we found La Moon to exceed all our expectations on a recent Friday evening happy hour. We stopped in and sat at their intimate and gorgeous bar, with art deco and Indochinese touches. She had the margarita, while I had the Midnight Moon, a fancy little drink topped with a red feather, making for a fun experience. From the kitchen, we shared the fried tofu and the stir-fried green beans, both of which were perfect and made for a nice, light happy hour snack. La Moon is the perfect spot in the neighborhood for classic Vietnamese eats with a whole lot of flair.

Yelp
Very nice ambiance, very good service and reasonably priced. The food was not the best Vietnamese I've ever had but the ingreients were fresh and preparation nice.

Yelp
Mai kitchen will definitely one of my go-to restaurants in the Inman park area. I really enjoyed my meal here and the drinks. The fresh fruit on top of the drink was so fresh and amazing! The only thing I have negative to say about this restaurant is that it's small so the tables feel very close together. I felt like the couple next to us could hear our whole conversation. But they do have an outdoor patio space that would be lovely during the summer. Servers were extremely sweet and attentive! Definitely will be back

Yelp
My fiancée and I came to La Moon for dinner Saturday around 4pm and sat at the bar. We were greeted by Ben, the bartender. He was super nice and accommodating. Ben was very familiar with the menu. So, we went with his recommendations. We ordered some apps and drinks, before our entrees. Ben made the most delicious drinks! I wanted to try some of the hand-crafted cocktails on the menu and he nailed every one! We ordered a cheese roll, La Moon wings, Crab fried rice, and the Ginger Fish. *Mind blown* the food was SOOO good!! Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Ben's recommendations did not disappoint! If you're looking for a place with a nice atmosphere, great drinks, amazing food and a fantastic bartender, La Moon is your place! We can't wait for our next visit. Thanks Ben!

Yelp
Finally got to check Mai Kitchen off my list! The decor here is so nice. Nice dinning spot for ladies night. They have 4 dinning areas: plenty of seating at the bar, there's limited table top seating at the front of the restaurant which looks on to N. Highland Ave. During the spring/summer they open the windows and it gives you a bit of an indoor/outdoor vibe. That seating area is coveted when it's nice out. There's a long row of seating along the wall of the restaurant and a fabulous well decorated patio in the back. For dinner I ordered the coconut curry chicken. The food was really good. I will say I was disappointed with the portion. My dinner didn't contain much much meat and you can see the amount of rice they provided and the cost of another bowl of rice was $4.

Yelp
Mai Kitchen was good. I went for cocktails and appetizers. My favorite were the Vietnamese style wings, great flavor and the sauce is incredible, fried perfectly. The dumplings were under-whelming, a little burnt and I would suggest the sauce tossed in the wings to also be served on the side to bring more flavor. The Mai-Tee Mango drink was incredible. If you enjoy tajin on the rim with some spice in your beverage, it's perfect. Service was good. Staff was friendly. Ambiance is nice.

Yelp
What a lovely spot! We walked by headed to another restaurant and just couldn't pass this place up. We lucked out with free parking on the street (yes I said free) so we sat on their porch which was open and quite pleasant. The service was very friendly, the drinks were good and they even had milk stout for my hubby (score!) we split the dumplings which were so flavorful! We even split the ginger fish which was delicious and perfect to split! Loved the vibe of the place! Porch, cool drinks, good food! Check them out!

Yelp
Hidden gem for sure! Had a meeting at a bar across the street and had the best lunch ever! I will definitely be coming back! The service was very quick and efficient and the ambience was such a vibe in there.

Yelp
Lemongrass tofu is one of the best dishes I've had in a while! The fresh spring rolls are also quite filling, and available with different proteins. A few of the drinks can be made virgin, and menu is clearly marked for allergens and restrictions. It was pretty empty on a Thursday at opening time, so service was quick and our waitress was so attentive and thoughtful with her curated suggestions based on our preferences! Love the decor, lighting and music as well

Yelp
Service was very friendly and food was delicious. I asked for a cocktail not on the menu and they made it, server gave good menu recommendations.
