"La Mula Terca — 'the stubborn mule' — was a departure for the neighborhood, transforming a corner spot known for quick takeout into a small, welcoming dining room where customers were encouraged to bring their own tequila to pour into pitchers of margarita mix and linger over standout birria and soups seasoned with avocado leaves." - Caroline Coral

Customer Service is superb. Personally, the flavors weren't what I was expecting or anticipated with the birria tacos. I think its because I am used to beef flavor and lamb has a very distinctive taste that with these tacos I wasn't a fan of. The elote was yummy and the chips and mango guacamole too! But the entrees were just ok in my opinion. I would recommend that you try them out personally because flavor preference is individual.

This place is absolutely incredible. It was clean, delicous, and our server was on point. It was like trying everything for the first time with how much higher quality it was. The spiced coffee, was easily the best coffee I've ever had. This place is a must try.

I personally love this restaurant. I think La Mula Terca is my favorite Mexican restaurant. The quality of the food is just amazing, when people think about Mexican food, they always think about "tacos" but this is more than that... This is a variety of flavors and textures, please make sure to try different dishes if you visit more than one time. The staff is the best, they are very friendly. I recently celebrated my wedding anniversary there and they made us this cute dessert with a message on it. They are just the best!

My partner and I were craving quesabirria so we looked for the closest restaurant that offered it. This place turned out to be such a gem in the neighborhood. They serve deliciously well portioned tacos and other dishes. Service was great and friendly. Would definitely come back again!

If you are in South Philly, this joint is a must!! Juan took great care of us. I’ve been wanting to try tacos birria for a long time. I finally found a place that sells them. They are soooooo delicious!! I also tried tamarind juice for the first time which was also good but it would be better with tequila in a margarita.

Really good mexican place for dine in. The place is small and cosy. We loved the tamarind drink, definitely a must try. The corn on the cob was good. For entree, we tried the birria tacos and chimichuri steak. Both were tasty. Although, the service was a little slow, the staff were friendly and good. Definitely recommended.

The quesabirrias here are phenomenal!! From the Delicious juicy lamb cooked to perfection, then you add the Oaxaca cheese, cebolla, cilantro along with that crisp tortilla and the consomè to finish it off. I devoured everything. I could have had another 4 quesabirrias! This place is amazing. I highly recommend! It’s also BYOB!!!!
