arrived late morning right before the lunch crowd shows up - the seating, though plentiful, fills up FAST (you seat yourself). interior decor has beautiful individual details, lots of tile and colorful designs. comfortable booths and pretty tables with tile inlays. i ordered the tres leches strawberry matcha and it was good, notably very, very sweet, but the fresh strawberry puree really brightened up the matcha. it does get noisy around lunchtime, but the social atmosphere is very cheery. employees were very friendly and helpful. i had a great experience and would return!

Came to brunch with friends on Saturday. I had been to the Houston St location before and enjoyed it a lot. I’m glad they seem to be very consistent throughout their separate locations. You get great customer service, delicious food, pastries and mixed drinks and coffee. Highly recommended to those visiting the San Antonio area.

We visited La Panaderia based on a strong recommendation from an employee. We're from Houston and came to San Antonio for a couple of days, and we made sure to stop by the café to grab some Conchas to take home for the kids. We purchased a variety of pastries for our trip back. For dining in, I ordered the torta croissant with egg, ham, cheese, and black beans. It was delicious, but it would have been perfect if they offered salsa or hot sauce to accompany it. My husband really enjoyed his Mexican Cubano sandwish and his coffee. The hot matcha latte was also good; it was rich and had a nice matcha flavor, not watered down. We definitely come back the next time we're in San Antonio. By the way, Vanilla Conchas are the BEST!!!!

Service is friendly but a little slow, we got our food before our drinks. They need a dedicated barista to make the cappuccinos, espressos, etc. Servings are large. French Toast with pecans is delicious and good to share.

Google
Totally new experience. The food items on display look more like art than food. There’s actually a red carpet to greet you as you walk up. Not even really sure how to describe the selections of pastries. One side of the menu has tasty sandwich options. The other has breakfast options.

Google
Overall I give it 5 star rating because the food is is good and the atmosphere is just amazing I love how the seats and table are arranged in a way where you can enjoy the downtown view and admire the restaurants aesthetic. Service is amazing especially after I found out this place got Military discount! I enjoyed my croissant and desert aswell the orange juice 😌😗

Out of all four La Panadería locations, this one on Broadway is hands-down my favorite. It has less traffic, which makes the experience feel more relaxed—yet the food is just as flavorful and delicious as ever. The staff here is truly exceptional—always friendly, welcoming, and ready to serve with a smile. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or a leisurely brunch, they make you feel right at home. If you visit any La Panadería, please do yourself a favor and try the French toast made with their cinnamon raisin pecan roll—it’s absolutely scrumptious. The fresh berries and homemade whipped cream give it the perfect burst of freshness that balances out the richness beautifully. Honestly, everything on the menu is a hit. You can’t go wrong. I highly recommend La Panadería—it’s a true gem in San Antonio.

Google
We absolutely loved the food! Beautiful location! This is the perfect brunch spot for a San Antonio visit! Half of our group chose lunch items and the other half chose brunch. The croissant sandwiches are massive! I loved my Tres lesches matcha. I was surprised they had mimosas, so we had to try one. The pastries are amazing, we had to drop in again and get more before we left town!

Yelp
Coffee Shop No. 506 La Panderia Bakery & Cafe San Antonio, TX June 9, 2025 La Panderia bakery and Cafe in downtown San Antonio is a true staple in the city, just a short walk from the Alamo. The Mexican-inspired menu is both creative and comforting--I enjoyed the CroLuna Tequila Almond Croissant. It was outstanding; flaky, not overly sweet, and generously sized, it felt like an indulgence and a great value all in one. My cortado matched the splendid news of the croissant--smooth, balanced, and made just right. The space itself adds to the experience. It's a large corner shop filled with natural light, where bright yellow chairs pop against warm wood tables inlaid with read-and-white tile. The wood ceilings give the cafe a cozy, welcoming vibe despite its size, making it perfect for lingering with a good book or friend or grabbing a quick bite. Service was excellent--warm, attentive and efficient--which really sealed the deal. Whether you're in town for the historic, the food scene, or searching for the perfect cortado, La Panderia deserves a spot on your San Antonio must-visit-list. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

Yelp
Impressive at first glance--the pastries are massive inviting photo-ops, and the bright, airy interior sets a modern, inviting welcome. I came in for a late brunch on my first visit, recommended by a local newcomer. Parking is tight but I managed to score a spot. The process is casual: order at the counter, then relax while they bring your food out. Service both at the counter and delivery was friendly. The big, bold Alamo Burger leaned heavier and greasier than my usual savory preference. While the oversized mimosa looked festive (think margarita glass), unfortunately it fizzled in flavor and tasted more like dull orange juice than a proper bubbly brunch cocktail. Even with an empty stomach, I couldn't power through half of either. That said, I'd be open to giving this chain another indulgence try with their coffee and panaderia.

Yelp
Really solid spot! The coffee was great and the pastries were even better--the Nutella cruffin was amazing, and everything we tried was delicious. It does get crowded since the space is small, so it can feel a bit rushed and loud at times, and parking isn't the easiest. But the staff keeps things moving and the vibe is lively. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area--just come ready for a busy café atmosphere.

Yelp
Decides to try dinner for the 1st time. Loved it! Will say I had the carnitas with the Cole salw on the side. Loved the bread .. soft but yet thick enough to stand up and stay together through the ancho bbq sauce. The banana torte was so delish!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Food is absolutely amazing! Service is great and quick. Ambiance reminds me of Mexico City bakeries.

Yelp
So many fantastic options!. I would have to come at least a dozen times to try everything I wanted on the menu. A little pricy, but an awesome spot for breakfast or lunch. Or anytime really.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was so good! I got the grill chicken salad bowl & the cheesecake the service was so nice and timely. The place is kind of loud since I went for lunch and it was very packed on a Friday afternoon. Everything was clean and comfortable and very inviting, such a nice place for lunch if you could get parking and a table!

Yelp
La Panaderia is by far one of the best restaurants in San Antonio! No matter how many new locations they keep opening in the city, the high quality and amazing service is reflected across all of them. With that being said, this location is their newest addition to their portafolio and as expected it did not disappoint. This location is a little smaller compared to others, but I think is tailored to locals. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, but please note that they can get pretty busy. My go-to order is their chicken milanesa with telera bread and side salad. Please do yourself a favor and order this! The chicken is always cooked to perfection and the balance between the aguacate and jalapeños is absolutely outstanding. Now, if you are not that hungry, then I recommend any of their delicious baked goods. Overall this is a five-star location and will definitely be coming back soon!

Yelp
Joshua, was super welcoming once we came in the door and helped make our food choices. He went far and beyond to make our experience here wonderful. Thought it was worth mentioning! Best experience ever!

Yelp
Get there early chances are you will have to wait in line. But OMG. It was so freaking good. We tried the tequila French toast, chocolate croissant and a conchas. It was amazing
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
Food is always good. Pretty loud crowd as I suppose folks are out for brunch. I ordered steak & eggs. One knock I have it that I asked for medium on my steak and it was well done. Oh well, can't complain about a steak at a bakery.
google avatar

Frances L.

Yelp
Literally the best conchas I've ever had! They do not skimp on the fillings for the filled ones. My only regret is not buying more since I'm not local. The tres leches croissant was amazing as well. Our party also ordered a smattering of food items - breakfast plate, avocado salad bowl, Alamo Burger, French toast and everyone was happy with their food. Portion sizes were large. 100% would come back here the next time we're in San Antonio!

Yelp
La Panadería has a new location near the Pearl! What a great location, and what a great cleaned up decor. There's more parking available at this location too, a feature that is severely lacking at their other restaurants in the city. This location has an updated menu with more options for sides, including a lentil soup and a veggie rice, both delicious. Their tortas, baked goods and coffees are as delicious as ever, tasty, fresh and just succulent! This bakery / restaurant has mastered the art of baking like very few others have in Texas. I speak from experience having lived for a decade in Montreal, where bakeries are treasured. We will definitely be back and I don't see myself visiting other locations now that this one is around. It's so much better! Oh, and it even has a red carpet. Nothing can beat that type of welcome! *Winks*

Yelp
Super delicious and so cute inside. The food was very decently priced! Coming from California I was expecting this to cost more but I was thoroughly satisfied with everything that came out! The service was also great! Although this place was not set up as a restaurant we were waited on and checked on every now and then about how our meal was and to clean up plates. I ordered the Al Pastor torta and fiedo soup. The soup was okay, I would give it just maybe 2/5 stars for that fiedo soup. The Al Pastor torta was a 4/5. The drink I ordered was the cafe con leche. It was an okay drink as well, I think I forgot to ask for sweetener so it really did not have much flavor.

Felina S.

Yelp
First timers and it did not disappoint. The line was quick and service friendly- with the exception of one cashier who shushed me when I asked for another pastry - really had to keep my composure. Please don't work somewhere you aren't happy being! The pastries were delicious and flavorful. The place was very clean although a bit chaotic and difficult to get someone's attention for simple items like silverware and water.

Yelp
La Panadería on Lower Broadway has delicious pastries and coffee, where you can relax in the dining room and socialize. The tequila almond croissant is a classic: flaky and crisp on the outside, tender and sweet on the inside. They also have savory options like a ham, cheese, and jalapeño croissant. Part of what makes La Panadería a winner is that the menu has something for everyone. It's a great place to gather. I'm excited about this new location on Lower Broadway, especially with the easy parking.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm ashamed to say I had never been to any of the locations of La Panaderia but it's always been high on my "want" list. When this new location opened I knew I had to visit. We started off sitting outside because it was a nice day and the chairs out there are so comfortable. It started to rain so we headed inside and the interior is so well decorated. I had the croncha (cross between croissant and concha) and I wanted to go back for seconds. It was so light and airy with the sweet crunchy concha topping was perfect. The chicken in my salad was seasoned really well and they give two dressing for the salad, one spicy and one mild. It was a simple salad but so delicious. Will definitely be back, or maybe try the other locations!

Irma M.

Yelp
I would just like to say that I've been coming here to the la Panaderia on Broadway for years and every time my husband and I go there Mrs.Jessy greets us with a smile makes you feel like at home. Best location ever if you ever go there get to know Miss Jesse, and say hi to her. You'll see what I'm talking about.

It a friendly environment. The food is awesome. I would recommend this for breakfast or brunch. Love the food.

Yelp
This is our second time at this new location. Love the free parking. We came on Valentines Day and it was pretty busy but service was fast. I tried something new this visit, the waffle. Very yummy. Next time I'd add a potato or toast but the flavor was delicious.
google avatar

ronald m.

Yelp
I had a great breakfast here. The staff and environment was friendly. My food was very pleasant in taste and appearance. I had the ranchero eggs on toast with chicken and an Apple pie. The crust on the pie is flaky and tastes great. The apples were sliced thin and cooked to perfection in the pie.
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
Let me start with the ambiance. I am not local I was here on vacation. Lucky was I to experience such a great bakery place in San Antonio. Everyone was having a great time and seemed to be enjoying their meals. The pastries are amazing delicious and unique. We had the tres leche croissants, tequila almond croissant, dipped chocolate ear and huevos rancheros. 2 regular coffees. The tres leche croissant with strawberries was a culinary surprise! Wow spectacular. The huge chocolate dipped ear was so light and crispy and did I mention it was dark chocolate bam wow perfect for the cafecito. The huevos rancheros were delicious! Oh Yesi got mine with chicken omg I was not ready!!! Locals tourist alike this is a must have and experience

Yelp
Delicious food, delightful service, and phenomenal pastries... the newest addition to the La Panaderia family on Broadway offers an array of tortas, breakfast and brunch plates, and smooth, bright espresso. Bring your appetite... cheers!
google avatar

Brandie B.

Yelp
The food is always beautifully presented, served hot, and fresh to order. Their Chai Tea Latte is hands-down the best in the area. This is my second time visiting this location this week. I love that it's closer to The Pearl. The service is always friendly and fast. This location is beautifully decorated, a great addition to downtown.
google avatar

Shari Z.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. It was nearby the Witte Museum so we went before going using our City Pass. We had Sunny Side Up and French Toast Clasico with scrambled eggs along with the house coffee. Highly recommend this place! Nice environment.
google avatar

Bre B.

Yelp
Sooooo delicious. There was a line to get in but we didn't have to wait very long. Great customer service and nice ambiance.
google avatar

Diana V.

Yelp
First time here and everyone in the staff were so kind and went beyond giving us best recommendations. Smelled so delicious. Hot coffee and fresh bakery bread. I was so in love with the conchas. I am willing to pay the price for a good big quality bakery item keep that in mind.
google avatar

Nancy S.

Yelp
This place does not disappoint. The guest service is always on point. The food is always so delicious. It's made to order. The Mexican pastries are a must have. They now have fresh pressed juice, did not skip a beat. The place is very open and the patio is perfect.
google avatar

Brenda C.

Yelp
Just a mexican girly in the neighborhood. Happy with what I had. Full sandwiches $13, they seem to be standard croissant bread, I crave a bolio. Two different types of kids meals are available for half the price and hit the same. My local cousins almost immediately ... "you have to go to the bogie panaderia, our favorite is the kids meal." Do you people! The pan is elevated. Concha sugar shells were too thin for me, but the bread was crazy soft. Worth a try even if you're used to something else.
google avatar

Marie B.

Yelp
Highly recommend this restaurant. The desserts were absolutely delicious and the food was very tasty. Everything was amazing. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were so friendly. 10/10. Worth every penny!
google avatar

Elle L.

Yelp
While most of the goodies were sold by the time I got there, what they did have I was pleased with. Service is good and it was not busy the time I was there, I liked that! I will have to return for lunch at a later time and add to this review.

Gloria S.

Yelp
A highly recommended location by the locals to stop by and try and what a big disappointment. We first came in at 7 am to a long line and not a very typical American breakfast menu, so we left. We came back at 3pm to hardly any pastries, the kitchen was closed and the hot latte was not HOT!!! Will not return or recommend this place.
google avatar

Jenny G.

Yelp
Lovely location ! Inside and outdoor seating are great, coffee was excellent! All the pastries are outstanding! Ham and cheese croissant was delicious , almond tequila croissant and strawberry and cream are a must! My favorite was the strawberry one ! The menu it's just crazy good ! All the Mexican sweet bread conchas are just dreamy! Beautiful display family oriented kids friendly I loved the outdoor seating under the trees. Excellent customer service the hostess was very helpful explain the most favorite ones at the door friendly beautiful hospitality.
google avatar

Ernest R.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for a while and it was a pleasant surprise. Really worth a try. The sweets are good I like the many different choices. It was a bit confusing finding where to order how to go about seating and stuff but the staff was helpful and friendly. A bit pricey on the baked goods but will probably come back to try more. Felt nice inside like a cafe.
google avatar

Leslie G.

Yelp
Wow so much to choose from and everything our party had was delicious! The baked goods were amazing!

Lataya H.

Yelp
We went here for lunch. The sandwiches were really good and the atmosphere was upbeat and trendy. I will be back to try some of the famous pastries.

Aunica M.

Yelp
Food is excellent service is fast friendly staff I just wish there were more seating it's always very hectic or not easy to find seating which is amazing they have business flowing but yes everything else is excellent the food is great the sauces is flavorful I hope this place stays this way and the staff are always attentive I plan on coming here for a long time always such a great experience and the options with the bakery is worth the price the portion size is perfect love this place it's my favorite

Adrian H.

Yelp
I came here to get chicken salad and when it came out the chicken was soggy and moist.I had to then tell the manger to cook the breading more, then when it came out it was so crispy I couldn't even bite into it.I just left cause clearly this place sucks Literally the simplest menu item and they couldn't even get it right
google avatar

Jackie L.

Yelp
I love visiting San Antonio for this bakery alone! So happy for this new location! Will always be returning for your coffee and breakfast sandwiches! Of course your pastries aren't bad at all

Platinum G.

Yelp
Great restaurant! Always new pastries to try, as it seems they change a few items around to fit with the time of year. Service is very friendly and fast, never had any problems with anyone or any of the dishes I've had. All around a great restaurant and you'll definitely leave with a smile and a full stomach

Fitness T.

Yelp
Awesome! The food is always great and on point. The staff is always checkin up on the customers! Great service.

Andrew F.

Yelp
I would give ZERO stars but it's not an option. Staff was an extremely rude and condescending. Why wouldn't you make more concha's if you ran out of one flavor? Ridiculous business model & unacceptable. Definitely not like the real panaderías in MX.

Lynette R.

Yelp
We have liked the other locations of La Panaderia for a long time. This was our first visit to the Midtown location. It has been open since the fall. The food was was wonderful as it is at all the locations, but this is my favorite location now. The decor with all the windows is very pleasant. Service by Carlos was outstanding. Cafe con leche was excellent and their bread and pastries are exceptional. Parking is so much easier than the one on Broadway close to the loop or downtown. I was hesitant to post as it is nice the line isn't long like the other locations, but thought I should as it is a special place and I think there are people like me that didn't know about the new location.

Maxine W.

Yelp
I had to download yelp just to leave a review. I'm in town due to work & went to this place this morning. The latte & the velvet concha were so good. As I was finishing up my coffee one of the workers came up to me & gave me a free concha for Easter. I don't know if he did it because I was alone but it really made my day while away from my family on Easter.

Shelby

Yelp
Such a wide selection and the staff was so helpful in pointing us to pan dulce we might like! Everything was delicious, but I especially liked the Rosca de Reyes!! 10/10 would recommend
google avatar

Chisara N.

Yelp
I have the jalapeño with ham and cheese croissant. And a fideo soup on the side. It was fantastic!!

Elton A.

Yelp
This place is wonderful . What's not to love about a Mexican bakery . The sandwiches come on their homemade bread . Their Mexican Cubano Gordita is gangster !
