My family (party of 14) visited for my girlfriend’s sister’s birthday, and the service was far below basic standards. A simple Paloma took about 15 minutes to arrive even after asking four times. We requested a sauce and a spoon three separate times, and neither was ever brought. Five people in our group were unhappy with their meals.
The biggest issue was how a medical situation was handled. My girlfriend has a health condition and asked me to accompany her to the restroom for support. Instead of handling this quietly or offering an alternative, a staff member confronted me publicly in front of our entire family. It was embarrassing, unnecessary, and showed poor judgment.
Despite all of this, a mandatory gratuity was added to the bill.
I attempted to resolve everything privately and professionally:
– August 21: Delivered a formal written complaint in person. No response.
– August 27: Delivered a second notice. No response.
– Called the restaurant and was told a manager would contact me. They never did.
– Weeks passed with zero acknowledgment.
Because the business completely ignored every attempt to resolve this, I was left with no choice but to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) so the issue could be addressed.
I genuinely hope management takes this seriously and improves service, communication, and customer care going forward.
