La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant

We recently hosted my grandmother's 81st birthday at this amazing Mexican restaurant, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. We reserved a private room for the occasion, and everything from start to finish was absolutely perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make the celebration special—they were incredibly attentive, kind, and professional. The service was top-notch without ever feeling rushed or overbearing. The food was phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Everyone at the party raved about their meals, from the tacos to the enchiladas, and even the margaritas were a hit! Best of all, the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity we received. The private room was spacious, comfortable, and just the right setting for a family celebration. It felt cozy yet festive, and the atmosphere added a lot to the occasion. Thank you for helping make my grandmother's birthday so memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back—and recommending this gem to all our friends and family!

Although it was very busy, we were seated promptly and had the servers attention. The Cadillac margarita was delicious. One in our party had a special drink request which was not only met but exceeded expectations. The food was delicious. Three different dishes, all 3 received 5-stars. We were very happy to try this new place during our visit. We will be back

It's very nice and clean but that's the best part. Ordered the soup of the day caldo de res and birria.. Caldo is bad sorry but not sorry. No flavor just tasted like water with meat in it. Birria was okay. The issue was we placed the order and 30 minutes later she comes back and asked us you guys ready for the bill we laughed and said sure after we get our food. I guess the food was never placed. Another 30 min later we get the food another server comes and asked can i get you anything. I said yes napkins would be cool. Never got it.. Like is the whole staff high today. One of those nights where taco truck eating in the cold sounds way better

1st timer here ! Came here with my best friend during lunch hour and they had really good deals ! Very affordable& portion size was pretty big ! Let me say this , i got the fajita bowl for $12 and this was literally sooooooooo good ! The asada was hella tender and flavorful , they have the best Mexican rice ever (& I’m usually super picky about my Mexican rice) They also serve chips n salsa before your food comes out ! The service here immaculate ! The waitresses were very sweet and good vibes all around ! When you walk in, you do have to wait to be seated , I believe I seen high chairs there, but I took my son in his stroller, and there was plenty of room to maneuver him around the restaurant . I would literally give this place 10 stars out of 10 !!!!! Literally sooooo good & I’ll definitely be traveling from Stockton more often !

This place is an absolute gem. It's great if you're coming with family. If you're just coming with friends, you can have a quick drink at the bar and watch a game on the big flat screen. The food is delicious. The kitchen is efficient. The servers are polite and kind. This place is a ten out of ten, and I really hope it doesn't change in any way, shape, or form. What they are doing works, and you can clearly tell that the people who are running the place care and have a lot of love for the food that they're making and the environment and atmosphere that they've created. Prices are also absolutely amazing. Please try the shrimp in the deviled sauce that they make; I can't get enough of it.

Visited on August 19, 2025 - extremely disappointing experience. My family (party of 14) visited for my girlfriend’s sister’s birthday, and the service was far below basic standards. A simple Paloma took about 15 minutes to arrive even after asking four times. We requested a sauce and a spoon three separate times, and neither was ever brought. Five people in our group were unhappy with their meals. The biggest issue was how a medical situation was handled. My girlfriend has a health condition and asked me to accompany her to the restroom for support. Instead of handling this quietly or offering an alternative, a staff member confronted me publicly in front of our entire family. It was embarrassing, unnecessary, and showed poor judgment. Despite all of this, a mandatory gratuity was added to the bill. I attempted to resolve everything privately and professionally: – August 21: Delivered a formal written complaint in person. No response. – August 27: Delivered a second notice. No response. – Called the restaurant and was told a manager would contact me. They never did. – Weeks passed with zero acknowledgment. Because the business completely ignored every attempt to resolve this, I was left with no choice but to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) so the issue could be addressed. I genuinely hope management takes this seriously and improves service, communication, and customer care going forward.

Sat at the bar 🍺 Luckily no wait a d seats were available. Waiters and bartenders checked in and made sure we were okay. Drink was tasty and molcajete was yummy😋 and big enough for two people. The restaurant was clean and there was plenty of parking.

Thursday nights at La Parilla are far from their typical food quality and level of service. Thursday night at this location is football night, so it's loud, and the service level was lacking. The chicken Tracy's were good, but the crunchy taco shells were not crunchy. I loved the beef enchilada. I'm hindsight, I should have ordered more enchiladas and skipped the tacos. The beer was cold and a tall is really tall. The food came out very fast and was very hot. It took quite a while to get someone to come over to our table to take our order. The drinks did not come out as quickly. And the water took forever for some reason. Overall, I still recommend La Parilla because the food and drinks are generally good. I'm going to chalk this up to a bad night, but I still will return.
