The Best Sonoran Hot Dogs in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix
"What started as the Sandez family’s lone truck in 1998 has grown into two rigs and four brick-and-mortar shops, all serving Sonoran dogs with a touch of Sinaloa. The $5.50 base version stays traditional; the Sinaloa stacks on nacho cheese and crushed Ruffles. The Chile Queso wraps an Anaheim pepper in mozzarella and tucks the dog inside before the whole thing hits a jumbo bun. Even on weeknights, the grill keeps moving and the orders don’t let up, so diners should plan ahead and come early if they can." - McConnell Quinn
Omg! It was my first Sonoran hot dog and I am in ❤️! I don't even like hot dogs that much but this was absolutely delicious! We will definitely come here again!

This was our first time eating the world famous Sonora hotdog...it was incredible! We actually ate several types of their 'dogs and loved them all, but the Sonora did stand out. We also had their delicious carne asada fries...excellent! We will definitely be back. I believe our was approximately $28 and we'll worth it....actually one hotdog apiece is more than filling and their customer service was excellent...friendly and very helpful in pointing us to the best items. Enjoy!

This restaurant is tucked away behind a pizza place and unless you know it's there you're likely to drive right by. There was only one person ahead of us but we had to wait a while to get our food. It was tasty, no complaints! The restaurant itself was pretty plain but it was clean so what more do you need? 😉

The bread/bun that the place uses is very good and really sets off the hotdog. I had both the Sonora and the Sinaloa and loved both of them. I always loved chili hotdogs but these are now my #1 if I decide to have a hotdog. Service was fine and food was put out at a reasonable time. I got these to go but would have loved to try their desserts such as flan and fresas con crema.

Delicious absolutely one if my favorite Sonoran Hot Dogs in Phoenix, the bun is deeper too, love how they fill it with toppings and the flavors mesh perfectly, mouth watering just remembering, we'll be back

Food taste good. Arizona (top) is definitely the best of the two. Chihuahua (bottom) was cheesy. The only down fall is the price (over $4 for each). The hot dog it self its small and a costco size hot dog would definitely make up for the price and balance the size of the bun and toppings.
