The Cocktail Heatmap: Where to Drink Right Now in Portland

"The feminine decor at this bar from Lucy De León of Salsa Locas (aka Tortilleria y Tienda De Leon’s) fame provides a festive backdrop to flirty date nights and fun group hangs. Drinkers may sip on an I Wish You Roses (vodka, triple sec, rose, beet, aquafaba) as the namesake Kali Uchis song plays or the Bidi Bidi Bom Bom (tequila, serrano, coconut, pineapple, Tajín) as Selena filters through the speakers. Patrons order upon entry before being seated — the piña colada, available with or without alcohol; tacos on pink house-made tortillas; and cinnamon sugar buñuelos are all hits." - Janey Wong, Brooke Jackson-Glidden

The Best Restaurants on Belmont Street in Portland, Oregon | Eater Portland

"Lucy De León, of the same family behind Salsas Locas, brought restaurant and bar La Patroncita to Belmont in fall 2023. Head here for buñuelos, stiff drinks, lovely vibes, including a pink-trimmed dining room, private parties, and all the Mexican food — think carnitas nachos, nopales tacos, and cauliflower fajitas." - Katrina Yentch

Would highly recommend La Patroncita to anybody. Love the pink tortilla texture! All the tacos come with a generous portion of filling. Would highly recommend trying all of them on Taco Tuesday! Would highly recommend the La Santa and the Paloma Sangrona for cocktails! Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Decided to check this place out after looking at homes in the area. We ordered some drinks and food The margaritas were very tasty. The beet juice addition was great. Then palomita was fantastic 10/10. I also loved the non-alcoholic option for all the cocktails as I'm not a heavy drinker For food, we had ceviche to start which I wholly recommend. We also ordered some mole, which is decent if you like mole - not many places in Portland have it so I was happy for the variety. The palomita bowl was also flavorful but could have been spicier for my tastes The atmosphere is mildly noisy, about a 3/5. The music was contemporary Latin hiphop, but it wasn't hard to have a conversation. This place would be great to unwind after a long week or as a starting place before a more busy night out

Google
We ordered the quesabirria plate ($18) I believe, very filling and generous amount of meat in the quesabirrias! Carnitas taco plate was also 10/10 rice and beans were very authentic! Very aesthetically pleasing inside! Music was also amazing!!! Props to whoever made the playlist 😊

Google
La Patroncita is located in the former home of Genoa, and I'm happy to report that you can still find excellent food and wonderful atmosphere in this elegant space. They have a very efficient mixture of ordering at a counter that is tucked away in an alcove near the entrance, and comfortable table service in a bright, upscale dining room. The bar at the back of the space looks equally elegant. My tacos were surprisingly large, and the bowl that my dining companion had was delightful - beans on one side, rice on the other, and a valley of protein down the middle. I'm tempted to go that route on my next visit.

Google
What a perfectly decorated and aesthetically pleasing spot. The green bar was stunning! The drinks and food were very good and beautifully presented. I loved the branded limes and the beautiful gold tableware. I did think it was odd to have such a cool restaurant and have it be counter service, but the service was still good. I look forward to coming back and trying more dishes and maybe sitting in that gorgeous green bar next time.

Google
Came for the first time on a Saturday night and was not disappointed. The music was good and lots of people dancing. There wasn’t much seating but that was fine since I was on my feet most of the time anyway. Will need to come back and try the food because I hear that’s phenomenal too, staff was super nice and the decor is a vibe. Love the loteria table order cards too!

Google
My friends and I were late to trivia night, the place we were supposed to be at was fully packed. We skipped on trivia night and walked around the neighborhood to find some local restaurants. We just happened to stumble upon this cute little restaurant. Very cozy and inviting! The staff were amazing, food and drinks were excellent. Definitely going back there, maybe for a date night even :)

Google
Had high expectations coming to this spot and it did not disappoint. Perfect date night atmosphere as others noted and was exactly the vibe I was looking for. We were sat in the back corner of the restaurant on a swanky green couch. Incredibly cozy and charming. I also noticed they make great use of the space with take out in the front and then seating in the back. Food itself was awesome. Margarita was a hit and the drink selection is great. The birria tacos were some of the best I’ve had and were so flavorful. Would have loved if they came with rice and beans as well. Also the enchiladas and mole were tasty and heart portions. Service was also stellar and was just the right amount of privacy and attentiveness. Definitely will be heading back here and look forward to their taco Tuesday special.

Yelp
I decided to try this place after seeing such rave reviews for them and I'm so glad I did! They have the best chips, salsa, and guac that I have ever had. Seriously! The La Patroncita Bowl (with chicken) was also absolutely scrumptious. They also have a wonderful space that is truly unique. And I love the neighborhood they're in. Easy to find street parking and a great place to take a quiet walk after feasting. I enjoyed the food so much I just had to come back the next week for more! Enjoyed a great dinner at the window seat.

Yelp
Order: 3 different Tacos & a drink. Shrimp ceviche. Pros: the food was amazing simply put, and the prices for taco Tuesday whatttt! The quality of the taco for the price on Taco Tuesday is well worth it!! I think the Tacos were like $3.5. The shrimp ceviche was equally as amazing and very, very flavorful. I wanted to drink the ceviche juice. That's how good it was. Cons: seating can be a little tricky, but we were seated fairly quickly.

Yelp
The only slight negative on a list of many positives is the ordering process. It's unnecessarily inefficient. You stand in line, but don't get to review the menu until it's time to order thereby causing a longer wait. Then the person taking the order has to go find you a table, then walk back to the register to take the next order. Just odd. The space is super charming, great vibe, tasteful decor and an awesome bar. Great attention to detail, and what clever utensils. I eat a lot of Mexican food and the chips here are one of the best in Portland. Definitely not from a bag, probably homemade, hot and crisp. The chicken taco was good. But the winner of the night was the carnitas taco. They say carnitas is the benchmark on how to judge Mexican food, much like sausage is for pizza. Reminds me of one of the best I've had which was from now closed Tortilleria Y Tienda De Leon. Melt in your mouth, a touch greasy, but in a good way. The La Patroncita bowl, Mole Con Pollo, and ceviche were all very good. Not a smidgen remained. Cocktails are a main draw. The Panchita's Margarita was very good, but I was meh on the pinkish Mojito. However, the Brindo de Tamarindo was excellent. Love this place!

Yelp
Solid tacos and drinks. Homemade tortillas and a cool vibe inside. Servers were kind, easy to order up front and at the bar.

Yelp
Let me just say that the inside of this place is beautiful, the decor and bar are awesome. The service was cool, lady at the counter looked annoyed and ready to go home lol. The food though and drinks were pretty pretty good. The tacos come in pink tortillas and a spicy sauce, chefs kiss. I also order a bidi bidi bom bom margarita. I will definitely come back and try more items because those tacos are legit.

Pratik O.

Yelp
Came here on a taco Tuesday and got two tacos. Everything was well price and the aesthetics of this place is beautiful! The tacos ended up being very juicy and yummy and the salsa was really good too. We had a good time with everyone working here!

Yelp
La Patroncita is such a gem, ambiance, service, food, drinks!!! 10/10. $3.50 tacos and $10 margs all day on Tuesdays. Carne Asada & Tinga Chicken

Yelp
Cool place. Very pink. Wife and daughters love the vibe. Great tasting food and drinks. Service is always good.

Yelp
What a gem of a location in Belmont - small yet classy, intimate yet open, delightful and cozy. Taco Tuesday is the best thing going here with pink margaritas and $3 tinga (chicken) and carnitas (pork) tacos. Ordering is accomplished at the counter to your right as you walk in the door, after which the staff will show you to your table. The dining room is divided into two main areas by an open "bookcase" - if you're sitting in the area on the other side of the divider, you can still see the charming little fireplace through the openings in the bookshelf. If you're game (or younger than my older knees will allow me), you can sit at the low-slung sofa that faces the fireplace - the ambiance is peaceful and quiet. There's a bar at the rear of the restaurant with seating nearby or at the bar countertop. The restroom is located down a flight of stairs, so if you're stair-challenged, plan accordingly; there are no facilities on the main floor. Our food arrived by attentive wait staff, beginning with chips and salsa, followed by tacos and drinks. The pink margarita with the branded lime on the rim was delicious. We had ordered chicken tacos and carnitas tacos which were made with generous portions of meat and covered in salsa and pickled onions and radishes. Everything was very tasty and filled us up with no room for dessert. Next time, I'll be doing a better job of advance planning as those buñelos sure looked mighty good! All in all, a charming little Mexican restaurant with street parking, open only during dinner hours. I'd recommend making reservations - the tables fill up fast!

Yelp
Friendly service. Order at the counter then they show you where to sit. Tons of cozy seating spots and even a fireplace. I sat at the back with the bar and grabbed the table in the right corner which was great people watching spot. I ordered two tacos that are larger than street style: the tinga and carnitas. Both very juicy. I also got chips and salsa and loved how the salsa had a real kick to it. For a cocktail, the bidi bidi bum bum is a must try if you like any amount of sweet for a drink. It had a lot going on within the glass - sweet yet acidic, creamy yet punchy and a tiny hint of heat from the tajin rim. Any place that brands their own limes I am here for. Once there's a few folks waiting to order inside, leaving is kinda a mess to get through the people but that's a minor gripe. The team, food, drinks, and cozy inside of this small place make it worth visiting any time of year.
google avatar

Alex W.

Yelp
Good taco and good cocktails if you are into Mexican-style drinks. Unfortunately, they were out of the Carnitas and Carne Asada when I went so I could only try the Tinga. Tasty and fresh-made tortilla, but definitely on the small side, especially for the price. Best to come on taco tuesday.

Yelp
Beautiful, busy, and... burned logos? I was struck by the inviting atmosphere of pink hues and complimentary colors that welcomed me from the street. As I hopped out of my lyft, the neon pink sign confirmed that I had arrived to the best new Mexican spot in Southeast Portland. The wait for seating and ordering food can be long, since, seating is limited. However, the team was incredible with conversation while we waited, and, the small dining space made for cozy vibes to look forward to. I let the server choose all of my dishes and drink, which was the correct choice. Once I ordered, I was seated on a comfortable but very low couch. Those with mobility constraints may have difficulty sitting there. My drink, the Bidi Boom, arrived quickly, and, without alcohol, thanks to Dry January (for me). Thanks for the accommodation, team! I was very impressed with the attention to detail everywhere, from unique cowboy hats, to burned logos pressed into the limes that garnish beverages and tacos. The food arrived on the iconic pink tortillas, which, were some of the yummiest I had tasted. They are thick, flavorful, and allow for easy eating with one hand - as any taco should be. I would have enjoyed sitting at the bar, and I will probably do just that during my next adventure here. The side tables by the couch are at odd levels compared to where you are sitting, so, I recommend waiting for a table. Thanks for a great adventure! This is an ideal place to dine or drink if you are hopping around town.

Yelp
I had this on the list for far too long before checking them out and sad that I didn't come sooner! This place is so great for a ladies night out, which is what we did and it was just the energy that we needed for our friend's birthday. I love the cultural decor and the staff were super friendly. We didn't think we needed a reservation but I highly recommend it. The staff were nice enough to fit us in a table that wasn't booked for an hour plus so we grabbed it. My friend and I split the carnitas nachos which was the best carnitas I've had since my last visit to Austin. Great value for the amount but one so good you probably want them all to yourself. We also tried the carne asada taco and split some chips, salsa and guacamole. The drinks were hands down my favorite, making this a great place for after work happy hour or to bring friends from out of town. The place is smaller but not too loud or cramped to chill and enjoy yourself. If you haven't been yet, make it your next night out and thank me later!

Yelp
It's been a long while since I've visited a 5-star spot but La Patroncita is totally one of them! Service was casual where you order at the cashier and then take a seat. The ambience and decors were so perfectly cozy and modern while being vibrant and just outright beautiful. Food was 10/10. We enjoyed everthing we got from the creative drinks to the loaded tacos to the dessert (pro tip: leave a review on google and you get a complimentary buenolos!). Both our drinks were tasty with the Ginger Spice being a fun twist on an Espresso Martini and the Old Fashioned being boozy but still refreshing. Out of all the tacos, we liked the Asada the best. Super well-seasoned and tender. The Carnitas and Chicken were good too though and these are big tacos (Another pro tip: they do taco Tuesdays!). We also tried the Taquitos which were crispy, fried tortillas filled with delicious braised beef (this was honestly my favorite meat and I wish I can have it in the taco or the bowl) and the Bowl that came with lots of rice and beans and your protein of choice. The Bowl is certainly a great option if you're particularly hungry. It had a lot of toppings too. For the Buenolos, it was crispy, fresh, and cinnamony. The vanilla ice cream paired so well with this. We had such a great night here and certainly will be spreading the word and coming back for more!

Yelp
Checked this place out for the first time and was impressed across the board. The exterior was quite unassuming but the interior was a balance of cozy, fun, vibrant and quirky! The decor is unique and irrefutably memorable. Ordered an old fashioned and two tacos. Everything was fresh and delicious! Staff were friendly and accommodating. The food came out in a timely manner and was hot. This place feels like the kind of place where you can feel comfortable yet immersed in sophistication. I will keep this as a staple in my regular culinary lineup moving forward. Check it out if you're in SE and looking for a fun new Portland experience.

Yelp
La Patroncita is THE place to take your best friends! The ambiance, music, drinks, and pink tortillas teleport you to a place where you just want to dance! Their margaritas are unique, they add beet juice to naturally make them pink. The service is quick, you order at the counter and they take the food straight to you. You can either close the tab or leave it open if you want to order more. If you want a more quiet place to sit, the restaurant area is where you want to be! But, if you're looking to listening to some amazing Mexican music, sit at the bar!

Yelp
Visited La Patroncita for drinks and we had a great time. The location is on the smaller side but there was seating open when we arrived! Originally we wanted to sit at the bar but there were no seats which was totally fine, we ended up sitting a cute table instead. The aesthetic and vibe of La Patroncita is super super cute! Definitely an instagramable spot. As far as the service, servers were nice and attentive. We got our drinks fairly quickly and they were all delicious! I got the espresso martini with a gingerbread man on top. Took around 15 pictures of it before sipping because it was just that cute. I believe they use Stumptown Coffee which is one of my favs and I found the drink to be very tasty. Not too strong but maintained the nice coffee flavor. The other drinks were also a hit. Overall, will be visiting again soon.

Yelp
You go here for the instagram photos. I went with my family to try it out. Hostess was rude, we waited for a bit while she found a table but she wasn't helpful when asking questions as it was our first time and we were walking by. I wouldn't return. Food is pricey, but I do love the pink ambiance.
google avatar

Jen V.

Yelp
This may be one of my favorite date night options when I am craving Mexican food! I came in with fairly low expectations as Mexican food in the PNW (as someone coming from CA) can be pretty disappointing and I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance is great - very cute modular design. Great music and great service! The cocktails were top notch and the food was very authentic tasting. If you're a fan of spicy cocktails - get the Rubi cocktail. Chica spice was also so delicious - tasted like a pumpkin pie in a cocktail format! The tacos and flautas were great and the chips & guacamole is a have to have.
google avatar

Leslie C.

Yelp
First off the restaurant is beautiful! It's definitely a wonderful experience and I love seeing all the Mexican art and references as a Mexican myself. The food is very delicious. The tinga tacos are juicy and not dry. The quesa birrias are for sure my favorite here, the flavors are great and is authentic. I only have it 4 stars because the carne asada was a little dry not juicy and the prices are definitely high.
google avatar

Tiffany H.

Yelp
Tasty cocktails and dessert, friendly service and adorable decor. We didn't have a reservation but were able to be squeezed in at the front bar table seating- great for people watching but not the comfiest seats. We'll be back to have a full meal.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
The event at La Patroncita was a hoot a holler and hoppin'! I loved the decor and look of the space-the only thing was the limited amount of space made it hard to move around during a busy service time. The house 'Red' Margarita (NA) was tasty and the Cactus Taco was lovely as well! Ordered the chips and salsa and was really surprised at how good they were when all I thought I was getting was just 'chips and salsa'. I think this place has some good potential, my thoughts would be to add maybe some na beers or another na drink or so to the menu and add a fish taco to the lineup and maybe lay out the restaurant a little differently or suggest a reservation on the website during busy hours. The service was excellent and it was overall a great experience!

Yelp
Tucked away in Belmont is a fantastic restaurant called La Patroncita. My partner and I came for drinks and a meal and they were both delicious. We really recommend the carnitas for the protein for the tacos paired with the habanero salsa. Whoever is making the drinks; they are heavy pourers because they were smacking! The place has a beautiful aesthetic with dim-lit lighting which really resonated with us with how chill the place was. The service was great as our waiter was attentive and super kind. We really recommend this place to anyone near the area!
google avatar

Christina N.

Yelp
This spot has been saved on my Yelp for places to try, glad I finally checked it out. Food, drinks, ambiance, and service were all fantastic! Our waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable about all the dishes and drinks. We ordered ceviche, a few tacos, and a couple drinks each. We had plans to hop to another spot after dinner but decided to stay put and ordered additional drinks from the menu, since they were so delicious! Definitely coming back soon.
google avatar

Yelp
This seems to be a popular spot & I can see why given the ambiance is comfortable with delicious food and drink! The food is flavorful & fresh and the drinks are full & strong. They have a special & unique touch of lime on their cocktails too - love the details! The decor is beautiful, classy, & comfortable accompanied by a great bar. You can order/check out at the counter & sit anywhere. There are many tables and cozy lounge areas. Street parking is surrounding the area. I enjoyed visiting & would love to come back. The only issue was their website hours conflicted with Google, so we had to wait for them to open when we arrived.

Yelp
A super neat little spot located in the Belmont area. The place has some really tasty food and great cocktails. This place has a chill and cozy atmosphere. We each got a couple of tacos and shared the nachos. The meat on the tacos were perfectly seasoned. The drinks were also amazing. I enjoyed their classic margarita, El Jefe, and Chica Fresca (their take on an expresso martini). I am definitely coming back here again.
google avatar

Yelp
Cozy, ambient space with good service and I just had two very good tacos there! Carnitos was amazing flavor but the meat could have been more tender. It was still great taco. . Carne asada taco was insane. Very Very good. I'll be back.

Yelp
La Patroncita is incredible! This past weekend I was visiting for Los Angeles and found them on Yelp. The vibey decor photos were what drew me in but the food and drinks were absolutely incredible. I love how warm and cozy this restaurant feels. Everything is so eclectic. The food itself was insane. I can't stop thinking about the quesabirria. The chips and guacamole were diving. The drinks were 12/10. The attention to detail was immaculate. I can't get over the rose shaped ice cubes. Lastly, the service was so wonderful. Everyone was so kind and helpful. I can't wait to fly out again just to come here.
google avatar

Raymond N.

Yelp
The food here is exceptional! We had both the ceviche and guacamole. Top notch and large portions. Finished it with a nice cocktail (bidinidibombom).

Yelp
We were so excited to try this spot out. Visiting from out of town and saw this spot online and made a reservation as well. Inside was very cute and such a vibe. The food was decent overall. However the service could've been better. We didn't have a specific server and the other tables were automatically given water. However we had to ask two times to get water for our table and we had to keep asking for a server to even order or get the check etc. We also asked for more chips to go with our guac and salsa. In which we never received... We do understand it can be busy but the main dining room was given prompt service. Our servers also didn't provide much of a welcoming and warm experience either...

Yelp
I recently attended an event at Patroncita and I was blown away by their attention to detail. From the decor to the food presentation to the branded lime wedges, everything was chefs kiss. There was a very limited menu for the event, but we were still impressed with what we were able to order. We tried the guac, the civeche, and the flautas. All three were spectacular. I only wish asked for 2 orders of guac because we couldn't stop eating it. The drinks were also impressive, but one absolutely knocked it out of the park. The Chica Fresa was the best coffee based cocktail I've ever had. I'm so glad I wasn't able to try some of the other menu items during the event, because now I have a good excuse to go back asap and order another Chica Fresa. Food and drink aside, the ambiance of La Patroncita is top tier. It has such a fun but moody and intimate vibe. I absolutely loved the pink forward color scheme in the front, but once you walk into the back room where the bar is located, you feel like you've been transported into a speakeasy. Everything from the green velvet couch to the wall of mirrors to the backlighting on the bar shelves created the perfect atmosphere. This would be such a great spot for a date or drinks with a small group. As far as the service, it was a bit all over the place, but we arrived right as the event was starting, so that was understandable. In spite of that, everyone we did interact with was still very friendly and helpful, just a bit rushed.

Carrie H.

Yelp
Great service, amazing taco platter and cool ambiance! They will give you a free desert if you leave a review! 10/10 would recommend!

Yelp
What a cool little place! Had some tacos, quac, and AMAZING cocktails! It is a little pricey, but if you are looking for a nice vibe, with good food/drinks, it's worth it to spend a bit more. Looking forward to trying more things! Staff was very friendly as well

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place! The food was so great and service was good as well. It's a perfect spot for a date night or a girls night! Loved the mix between girly and Mexican theme. The food tasted so authentic and hit the spot! I had the pozole verde and a carne asada taco. My husband got the chicken mole and a carnitas taco. The portions were very filling. We also tried the tamales and guacamole for an appetizer. We ended up taking those home since our food came out pretty fast. The cocktails are great as well. We had the Frida and the Panchita margarita. Will definitely back! Happy to support Latina girlies!

Nayeli M.

Yelp
The drinks were 10/10 and the ceviche was 100/10. The drinks were very tasty as well. The restaurant is tiny but very vibey and cute.

Jody J.

Yelp
The ambience here was the best thing... Especially the cute little lounge. Unless you are hitting happy hour, the prices are pretty expensive. They do take reservations. We made a reservation and when we got there we were told to just pick whatever we wanted to sit from the available tables. We were told to order at the counter that looks like a coat check. I ordered 3 happy hour carnitas tacos ($3.75 each) and a Palomita ($13) that consisted of Blanco tequila, grapefruit, soda, agave, lime, grapefruit bitters. It was delicious. We also ordered chips and salsa which were both delicious. And eventually we had dessert a Bunuelo ($11) with consisted of a large fried flour tortilla what's the scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of it and cinnamon sugar. Way overpriced. The thing that upset us the most was as soon as we paid our check the waitress told us we had to leave because our reservation was up and we weren't even done with dessert. There is nothing on the reservation or on their website that says there's a time limit on the tables so it really surprised us. It's not like we were sitting there and not ordering more and more food/drinks. Strange!

Yelp
An aesthetic place with actual good food?? That's rare. The entire place is so cute, great girls night out spot. I got the Bididi Bom Bom drink. Worker let me know it was the most popular one, I would recommend if you like spicy margs! The Guac was solid and nice to share. The Birria Tacos came with a side of Consome, and it was so good. Tastes authentic! 10/10

Yelp
I met a few GF's here. Apparently, it recently opened. It was so cute and had a great Boho feel and Vibe. We sat in the back by the bar. It was really cozy with a beautiful bar to look at. We enjoyed some cocktails and shared the chips, guac and ceviche. They were all really good. I ordered I Wish You Roses. It was a perfect drink with good flavor and not too sweet. Our server was friendly and responsive. The only improvement would be to have a little larger tables in the bar area. It was difficult to enjoy a cocktails and share an appetizer with three people. We had to put the table sign and other items on the floor to accommodate the space and we didn't even have any plates as they wouldn't fit. They do not open a tab for each table and you pay as you go. It wasn't the best but not too big of a deal. This place was a feel good all around. I will definitely be back for a visit soon. Please open another location on the Westside!

Yelp
La Patroncita just opened and I was so excited to head in! This proudly "Latina owned" business is serving up authentic Mexican food with incredibly picturesque interior decor. It's on a happening corner of 28th and Belmont. Staff was great - while you order up front, they come around frequently to check on you, bus plates, bring extra napkins, get your next drink, etc. Everyone seems to be excited about the food and the concept and happy to welcome you into it. I ordered a lot: the chips and guacamole, esquites, nopales tacos (pink tortillas!), buñuelos for dessert, and I Wish You Roses cocktail. All were delicious. I think the standouts were the cocktail (like a rosey lemon drop - easy to drink but strong), the guac (I couldn't stop eating), and the dessert (such a treat). But I'd order all of these again, and there's more on the menu I would like to try. Portions were definitely generous, and I think based on that plus the vibe that this is a perfect fit for a date-night or girls-night-out! Bring the "amigas y borracheras!"

Yelp
had this place on my list for a while once it opened. Super cute cozy location with moody decor. We got a pumpkin spice like espresso martini and it was soooo good. I got tacos def, meatier than expected. Friends got enchiladas, and nachos, I only tried the rice since I'm always hesistant. Was pleasantly surprised with how authentic it was. Will def be back, parking is a little limited. Service was great over all.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place. They had an amazing special going on for marg day so I had to come by and check it out. There was a bit of a wait so we our name down on the waitlist and just walked around. They called us back at about the time we were quoted. Once there, we ordered and paid at the front and they took us to our table in the bar. The bar was by far my favorite space of the restaurant. The greenery and deep emerald decor had a fun vibe to it. We ordered a lot of food - our favorite being the ceviche, tacos, rice and beans. Service was attentive. If you want to add more to your order, you'll have to start a new tab as it is as pay as you eat/drink situation.

Yelp
This place deserves 4.5 stars. We had a little wait, but they called in a timely manner. You order at the counter and then they'll take you to your table and bring out your food. We requested the bar and they accommodated us. The tables are smaller and the couch is awkward to sit and eat at, but the bar has great ambiance and decor. I would recommend to e ceviche, the tacos, and rice and beans. We also took advantage of $7 margs for margarita day. It's a fun place to get delicious food!

Yelp
Super cute place with good food and good drinks. We came here on a Tuesday evening and it was pretty busy but not too busy where we felt overlooked. We ordered at the window and were asked to find a seat by the bar bc they had reservations for the other tables. There weren't a lot of staff so it was kind of impressive how attentive they were. I really like this place and would definitely go back. Didn't hit the 5 stars simply bc I'm not a fan of ordering at the cashier.

Yelp
Food was delicious. The atmosphere beautiful! The guac was fresh. Mole enchiladas!! Small wait so reservations worth it.

Yelp
Tried this place while visiting Portland with friends--YOU MUST GO!! Everything about La Patroncita was incredible! The ambiance is very cute & cozy--it was easy for my group to stay a couple of hours enjoying the vibes & great music. My table absolutely loved all the decor--you can tell everything was designed/curated with intent (including the glassware/tableware!) The service was outstanding, as Anthony came by our table several times to ensure we were enjoying everything. The food and drinks by far make this place. Everything was so tasty, authentic, & made with love. I'm still dreaming of their espresso martini & ceviche. Definitely go to La Patroncita if you're in Portland!
