La Pecora Bianca Review - Nomad - New York - The Infatuation

"The easiest reviews to write are for the extremes: the “Wow, I would bathe in this steak sauce every day forever,” kind of restaurants and the “I think I just paid $30 for something a baby would eat from a can” ones. Then there are the ones that sit right in the middle, places that we would send you to, but with an asterisk or two. Welcome to La Pecora Bianca*. One thing to be sure about La Pecora Bianca – this is one of those “cute” restaurants. The space is bright, the vibe is lively, and there’s a big bar area that’s perfect for after work drink meetups. It’s also located in a part of town that simply needs more restaurants, right on the corner of 26th and Broadway. But those are where the strictly positive traits at La Pecora Bianca end. The menu here is something of a “concept” – the pastas are all made in house, mostly out of whole grain wheat flour. Gluten free pasta is also available as a substitution in every case. And while that’s a nice idea for the Celiac sufferers and sympathizers of the world, it makes for a strange experience for those of us who don’t see a plain old plate of pasta as a plate of poison. Yes, the “Einkorn Gramigna” here is good, but the spaghetti with whole wheat pasta is not. Please just give us the poison. So there lies the rub. Do we tell you to avoid this restaurant, knowing that there are better Italian restaurants (that won’t force you to eat ancient grains) where we could send you instead? Or do we embrace the situational utility of La Pecora Bianca, and promise you not a mind-blowing experience, but instead a good enough one that’s useful for a casual, potentially gluten-free hang with a group of friends? Ultimately, we’ll lean slightly towards the latter. At one point or another, everyone needs an easy place for dinner in this part of town, and at the very least, La Pecora Bianca is that. It’s a good move if you’re looking to grab a drink and maybe feed one of your picky friends who just came off a juice cleanse, but it is not a place you probably want to take your buddies from the office before a Knicks game. Now you know the asterisks. Food Rundown Crispy Octopus Served extra crispy with some snazzy spreadable pork sausage and pickled shallots to add some kick and tang. A nice way to start the meal, but best shared just between two people. Cavolfiori Definitely not the best cauliflower we’ve ever tasted and the pickled raisins that they put into the mix feel kind of unnecessary. Proceed at your own risk of disappointing monotony. Einkorn Gramigna A very good pasta dish made from “Einkorn,” which is not the name of the protagonist in an 80′s nerd movie, but a kind of wheat. That aside, we like this dish for the homemade pork sausage and chili flakes. The kitchen can get a bit heavy-handed on the salt, but we’ve never said no to a sodium overdose. Rosette The makeup of this dish has some serious sex appeal and by that we mean refined carbohydrates and cheese. It’s a rolled stuffed pasta with prosciutto, mushrooms, and bechamel, and it should be your pasta of choice if you’re down with the gluten. Spaghetti Did you just try and sneak whole wheat pasta into my spaghetti? I see what you’re doing. And I do not like it. Strozzapreti Made with Emmer pasta (another type of whole wheat) and sitting atop a fennel seed and pistachio pesto, this one was a big plate of pass for us. Too many strange textures." - Calais Zagarow

La Pecora Bianca Review - Midtown - New York - The Infatuation

"La Pecora Bianca is like an Italian version of The Smith - it’s never going to be a destination spot, but it’s a very useful fallback. The pastas are good, but we like the charcuterie and antipasti best (the creamy burrata with ramp pesto, in particular), and it’s very possible to make a full dinner out of shareable small plates, especially if you come with just one other person and sit at the long bar. Keep this in mind for just about any situation - whether you’re with clients, parents, friends, or a date." - Matt Tervooren

Great spot for lunch on a hot summer day! I ordered the lunch special that came with an appetizer and an entree. The rigatoni was superb, and I was able to customize my ginger lime soda. Overall fantastic food, atmosphere and service. I will definitely be back!

Google
Four For Dinner and we had a wonderful time! The pleasant waiter got everyone's order exactly right and the chef met the challenge and won. The pasta portions were generous and delicious. The pork chop was moist and tender. Very Good Mixed Drinks. Prices were very reasonable, especially for the UES.

Google
Great service, JP our server he’s lovely. We enjoyed the grilled Octopus and the whipped Ricotta for our appetizer. I had the Rigatoni, loved the texture of the pasta, my husband ordered the Gramigna and the Heritage pork is so flavorful.. we also enjoyed the Tiramisu dessert, I usually dont like Tiramisu but this one is so good and not so overpowering and sweet just a perfect end for our meal. Highly recommended!

Google
I think the food here is consistent and delicious and their lunch special is very affordable and generously portioned. They used to have a wonderful brunch special on the weekends with a cocktail and a main dish but they did away with that unfortunately. I always love their rigatoni and the soup and the ricotta toast appetizer is incredible. When it's summer, the outdoor seating can't be beat. I've always had excellent service except one time there was a British female server who was very rude and dismissive last summer.

Google
Great food and fabulous atmosphere!! The service was really attentive and I was super hydrated because my water glass was constantly fillled :) love that. Calamari had good taste but was thin, the breading was breaking apart, there were only a few pieces compared to the amount of fried veggies

Google
Lovely restaurant with cozy seating and delicious food! They have a great lunch special with 2 courses for an amazing price. The temperature inside is perfect, the volume is awesome, and the decor is cute!

Google
The service here is incredible. They don’t miss a beat and the food is so good. Visiting from Chicago and came here for lunch. Was so good we came back the next day. Thank you, Nicole, our server, for making these out of towners feel right at home!

Google
Food and wine was delicious! The only reason why I give it a 3/5 is the service. We waited an hour until our food arrived and even our water took a while. Ordered the following Tagliatelle (beef and pork bolognese) Spaghetti Chitarra (lobster, garlic, chili) Garganelli (roasted wild mushrooms, arugula pesto, pecorino)

Yelp
Nice Italian restaurant. Staff was kind, had to make reservations but was seated immediately. Restaurant was dim, but was not dirty in any way. New york strip steak was yummy, but steak was slightly pink when I got it well done. Cacio e pepe was not to our liking. Brussels sprouts were great though.

Yelp
Gathered with friends for a post-Christmas dinner and enjoyed a pleasant meal. This is one of several locations in the city, and seems pretty popular for their Italian specialties and brunch items. The day after Christmas, at 6:30pm restaurant was about 75% full. We had reservations and they were able to seat the first arrivals first, and I appreciated that they didn't rush us to order when one member of our party was delayed 30 minutes. We ordered: - Local Burrata with honey-poached apple, hazelnut, charred radicchio, saba $19 - Cauliflower with pickled raisins, toasted pine nuts, calabrian aioli $17 - Crispy Brussels Sprouts with rosemary honey, lemon, chili flakes $12 - Side of herb fries $8? Not on the menu though they kindly accommodated since herb fries usually come with the LPB burger - Spaghetti pomodoro $23 - Tagliatelle with beef and pork bolognese $27 x2 - Garganelli with roasted wild mushrooms, arugula pesto, pecorino $26 - Gramigna with house-made sausage, broccolini, chili flakes $27 - Branzino with spinach, olives, meyer lemon $34 - Chicken Parmesan vodka sauce, rigatoni $34 - Heritage Pork Chop with sweet & sour peppers, fingerling potatoes $29 I didn't try all the dishes though I will say the pasta was perfectly al dente for the tagiatelle and just very slight over for the garganelli. The gramigna is a classic here and prepared consistently and well according to my friend who's eaten this several times here. The burrata was very fresh and pillowy. The brussel sprouts were savory, flavorful and crispy on the edges. The chicken parm was a huge serving, easily could be shared between two people. Branzino and pork chopped were cooked well, the pork chop was particularly large--serving sizes are good and respectable for the prices. For dessert the olive oil cake $12 was a hit, the tiramisu $18 was textbook though the chocolate hazelnut budino $12 was a bit underwhelming. It was basically a rich chocolate mousse/pudding with crumbled wafers on top, creamy and delicious with the wafer crunch though a bit one-note and heavy after a meal of pasta. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, they use good quality ingredients and while there wasn't anything mind-blowing flavor-wise, the chefs know how to execute technically competent food. Service was professional and friendly. It initially took a while to get our waiter's attention to order after the last member of our party arrived. When the entrees came out they forgot the pork chop and had to put it in late, as an apology they comped the tiramisu which was a nice gesture. Staff was pretty busy earlier around 7pm though the crowd dissipated between 8-8:30pm. When the shift changed our waiter came over and introduced to us the new staff member that was taking over our table. Would recommend this spot for a casual date or get together with friends. They're also small child-friendly and have high chairs. They split the check for our party.

Yelp
I've dined at La Pecora Bianca UES several times and I would really recommend dining during the week for lunch. They have a $30 two course lunch special that's a great value. The service and atmosphere were top notch, as has been the case at other LBP locations. They have been relatively consistent in my experience. Ordered: Zucchini fries- I've tried all three appetizer options available as part of the two course lunch special and this was actually my least favorite. The zucchini is crisp and sauce is good but the other two appetizers were more memorable in my opinion. The thin zucchini bites were a little greasy which I was expecting. Chicken paillard- they offer a very nice portion for this dish. I definitely didn't leave hungry. The chicken was topped with castevelrano olives, almonds and Parmesan which was nice. There was a nice salad which I really liked. This wasn't my favorite item on the menu but it was tasty. My friend ordered the rigatoni with vodka sauce and I really enjoyed it. I'd definitely go back to LBP UES. The lunch special was a good value and the food is consistently good.

Yelp
I have tried now several times to reach out privately to Kate - Gueat relations. No reply back. Is that the way a business like this handles questions from a customer. I would expect you to answer in a timely fashion. See my dm tony as well as my numerous emails.

Yelp
Never been to this place around the area. Cozy, nice and the food I ordered is good! They have lobster pasta which is why we went here. Quick service and polite staff. I love the ambiance.

Yelp
Love this location - consistent, clean and calm space and their food is great! They have a $25 lunch special (maybe just during the week?) which is unheard of in NY these days and the portions aren't huge but are big enough for sure. You get one of three apps and then one of about 5 mains. I've tried the roasted cauliflower which is a big portion and a ton of flavor as well as the zucchini chips which are SO crispy and unreal!!! For mains I have tried the rigatoni with straciatella (SO good), the farro salad (added shrimp) and the shaved brussels sprouts salad with chicken that was delightful. Definitely worth coming to lunch but even if you don't make it, the food is worth paying full price! They also have tons of seating indoors and outdoors, but I recommend getting a reservation.
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant is a true gem! The pumpkin ravioli and mushroom pasta were perfectly flavorful, the crispy Brussels sprouts were addictive, and the fresh bread (on request) and wine tied everything together beautifully. The warm ambiance made it even more enjoyable. My only thing is it did feel pretty pricey for the portion sizes. I do recommend for a delicious, memorable meal for a special night.

Yelp
We have been here a couple of times including dinner and brunch. The brunch special is awesome as you get a free cocktail with a pasta dish! We have also gotten linguini Putanesca and olive oil cake. The linguini Putanesca was solid but the olive oil cake was just fine. The atmosphere and service in here is impeccable and brings a smile to your face. The pasta is just really solid! Not traditional Italian and doesn't blow my mind but I know it's going to be solid and good when I go! Come and try this place out!

Yelp
La Pecora Bianca is an amazing spot! My mom and I went here for lunch, hungry after a morning at the Museum of Natural History. My dad scored a $15 gift certificate through a survey from the restaurant, so we decided to use it today. My mom and I both got the lunch special, in which for just $25, you can get an appetizer and an entree. The lunch special selection is not as vast as the main menu, but there are vegetarian options, and it's a pretty sweet deal if you're looking to dine out on a budget. We were seated outdoors, and our waitress was very sweet and attentive. We were brought to our seats and right away brought glasses of fresh water. For our food, I got the whipped ricotta with truffle honey as my appetizer. The flavors blended together perfectly, with subtle hints of truffle against the creamy ricotta. It was perfect with the warm toasted bread that came with the dish. My mom got the roasted cauliflower appetizer, which I tried some of, and I thought it was absolutely delicious as well. Our meal was off to a good start! For our mains, I got the rigatoni with vodka sauce and stracciatella (cheese), and my mom got the cacio e Pepe. I feel like you can never go wrong with a good vodka sauce. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the sauce was creamy and rich. It truly hit the spot. Absolutely delicious! If you're looking for a laid back spot with some amazing vibes and great food, look no further!

Yelp
A home run of a neighbourhood joint. Food quality is decent and the turnaround time from order to service is quick. A wide selection of items in the menu. Food is light and not greasy. This year we went for thanksgiving and it was PERFECT. Wide selection for appetizers and main course. I've already recommended it to people for next year.
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite NYC restaurants, hands down. I've been to a few of their locations throughout the city, and the food has been consistent throughout. I really enjoy the Rigatoni with a side of Brussel Sprouts for added veggies and sweetness from the honey. The portions are filling. 10/10 every time!
google avatar

Elsy M.

Yelp
absolutely love Pecora Bianca! The pasta, especially the tagliatelle, is simply delicious--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The meatballs are incredibly savory and tasty, easily one of my favorites on the menu. Beyond the amazing food, the staff is always welcoming and attentive, making every visit feel special. Whether it's a casual dinner or a celebration, Pecora Bianca never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This is a really cute daytime restaurant on the UES. I believe it's a chain, but doesn't really feel like one which is nice. I had an espresso, which was good, as well as an aperol spritz, also good. We did the prix fix lunch special which has a great price point -- however, the salad I got (Toscana) was just fine. Shrimp was a bit dry. Zucchini fries were good though.
google avatar

Varsha T.

Yelp
La Pecora Bianca UES offers a memorable dining experience, particularly if you're a pasta lover. The rigatoni was a standout--creamy, cheesy, and cooked to perfection. The restaurant itself is visually stunning, and the ambiance adds to the overall experience. The servers were patient and insightful, making sure every need was met. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will definitely return for the rigatoni alone.

Yelp
Delicious dinner with friends! We had ealryish reservations and had a nice dinner. Food was delicious - the pastas were tasty, the artichokes were dippable, the cocktails were strong. Service was friendly, decor was instagrammable. Overall - very good evening and more affordable than we thought it would be.
google avatar

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place this past weekend and loved the vibes inside. Brunch food was very tasty and you got a drink with your entree. I would go back for the egg and sausage hash alone! It was very light and simple but flavorful! Our service wasn't the best but we were enjoying the vibes in the restaurant so it didn't both us much. I am looking forward to going back for dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
We went here to celebrate my birthday. The food was really delicious. We started off with some appetizers, including the Whipped Ricotta and Fritto Misto, both very good. Then for my entree, I got the Chicken Parm and my husband got the Gramigna with a side of roasted eggplant. We ate outside, but the inside was really nice too. Service was good.
google avatar

Kayla L.

Yelp
Pictured is pasta vodka with creamy burrata and basil on top with a hint of olive oil and sea salt. The olive oil and sea salt is 100% different than what you see at most places for vodka sauce. The homemade pasta adds a nice touch. Check it out. Service is great and so are vibes.

Alma Lyn C.

Yelp
Very accommodating Food is great Placed us in a nice area perfect for a party of 8 Perfect for our colleagues birthday lunch
google avatar

Joel S.

Yelp
Pleasant atmosphere outdoors for lunch on a nice day. There's a $25 price fixe lunch special. The service was quite slow and our waiter made a couple of mistakes with our orders. The whipped ricotta and roasted cauliflower were OK. My wife didn't like her chicken paillard- it's the rare one that wasn't pounded. I had the Cesar salad with grilled chicken. The grilled chicken was good, but the salad was dry and overwhelmed by grated cheese and breadcrumbs. 2.5 stars.
google avatar

Liz T.

Yelp
We came here to carb up before my husband ran the New York marathon and we were blown away by the experience. The food was fantastic, the vibe was cozy, and the staff was amazing. We had a few people from our party significantly late to our reservation because of train delays, and the staff was terribly accomodating to our situation. We loved our appetizers and drinks! If you come here, it is imperative you try the Brussels sprouts. They were divine.
google avatar

Madison B.

Yelp
Honestly not a huge fan of this chain restaurant, but I did go to this location and it was really nice the waiters took a long time to bring out our food so they brought us a complementary ice cream with a candlestick in it which was really sweet. I think it's a cute day spot and there's also seating outside for a sunny day so instead of going to Hutch and Waldo's we sat here outside for brunch.
google avatar

Victoria K.

Yelp
I remember saying to a friend a bit ago that I love Italian, but I don't yet have a go-to Italian spot in the city. No more. La Pecora Bianca is it. I have somehow found myself here three times in the past two months, and each time has been a delight. I was able to try their lunch special one of the times, which is a prix fixe appetizer and pasta for $25. My cousin and I shared-- we got the ricotta, zucchini fries, vodka pasta, and cacio e pepe. Loved everything. The toasted bread they have is insane-- it's soft, but also crispy, and served with olive oil already on top. The zucchini fries are similarly crispy to perfection and so delicious. The pastas are al dente and full of flavor. The next time I came for dinner, I was able to try their garganelli, which was a dish I had been eyeing from the start because I love pesto more than anything. This did not disappoint. I truly think about it periodically. Sure, maybe the pastas are on the more expensive side, but Italian always is, so you might as well get a stupid good pasta if you're going to pay anyway. My friend also ordered the brussels sprouts on the side, and I was able to try one-- oh my god. They're full of flavor and so tender. If you're a brussels fan, it's definitely worth a try. I'm awaiting the day someone tells me they want Italian so I can make my way back.

Yelp
Walked by the place as it was outside our hotel a few times and I always found it super quaint and cute! We popped in for a late lunch and grabbed a seat outside which was really lovely in the sunny weather. Service was quick and efficient! We shared the meatballs, arugula salad and roasted cauliflower- all was tasty as expected. Would def pop by again for a quiet meal outside!
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
We sat outdoors, one of the few summer/warm evenings before the fall comes around the corner! They have small tables situated on the sidewalk. I was happy to see that the pastas are all made in-house, I definitely judge a restaurant by their spaghetti. I would definitely tend to a restaurant if their pasta is house-made. For starters, we ordered the charred octopus, which was delicious and on a bed of pesto rosso, for mains we shared the Chicken Paillard, which was a large piece of pounded chicken breast with arugula salad and slices of parm cheese and the Linguine Puttanesca, which had such a delicious olive and capers tomato sauce. For a side, we opted for the Brussels sprouts, however this dish was SO burned! I could not even eat it. I notified our waiter and he was gracious about allowing us to change the dish, which we opted for the cauliflower instead. The cauliflower was so much better! To top off the meal, we got the tiramisu, mind you, this is a HUGE portion! I was so shocked when it arrived, it was in a bowl large enough to eat ramen noodles out of! Overall, thanks to our waiter and manager who were gracious about our inedible overly burned brussels sprouts. Would absolutely return, pastas and tiramisu are delicious!
google avatar

Vanessa A.

Yelp
I had been to their UWS location and loved it so came here with my friends. They enjoyed it so much this will be our regular spot now. We had a reservation at 6pm. The restaurant was empty! Didn't really fill up until close to 7. Our server was very nice! Attentive enough. Allowed us to have a leisurely dinner. We started with the whipped ricotta. It's a very simple dish so they're making plenty of money off of it at $17. Came with some tasty toasted bread. For our entrees I tried the squid ink pasta with shrimp $26. The perfect amount of sauce and shrimp. My goal now is to try all their pastas. My friends had the rigatoni in vodka sauce with the burrata added on and the burger. They both enjoyed very much. We also got a side of Brussels sprouts. Loved! Nice and crispy! The only thing that's lacking is their dessert menu. They have 3 options which didn't appeal to us. We'll save dessert for the place across the street!
google avatar

Paula C.

Yelp
My husband and I had dinner here a couple of nights ago for a last minute date night. We didn't have a reservation but were sat immediately, outside as we requested. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We really liked the menu and the food did not disappoint. We had the kale salad (I would come back for that alone) a couple of pasta entrees and a side of crispy Brussels sprouts, which are a must try if you like them. Their cocktail list also looked very intriguing but I didn't feel adventurous so I stuck to wine. Will be coming back.
google avatar

Susan K.

Yelp
Stylish spot in UES with clean, simple lines and decor. Elegant service, tasty food, and a prixe fixe lunch. I took someone out for a birthday lunch and they brought out ice cream and two spoons to celebrate on the house. She can't eat ice cream but it's the thought that counts!
google avatar

Alicia C.

Yelp
This place is doing all the things I love, super well. Fun cocktails Inviting ambiance Wine list with oversized pours Homemade pastas Booming flavors Burrata can be added on everything I mean, yes, this is where I want to @stuffmycase. Super excited it's in my neighborhood!

Yelp
Incredible food, great service and good atmosphere. Definitely a place worth checking out, great for celebrating a special occasion or just for casual fun. They offer a M-F lunch menu with multiple courses for $25.
google avatar

Shreya P.

Yelp
Wow incredible experience!! Highly recommend this place - the staff, decor, and the food and prices all perfect. Drinks (manhattan drink) and our red pinot noir were amazing. Mushroom pasta and the octopus were both very tasty and unique. Tiramisu was the highlight so cute and well presented. Will be back! 6/5 stars!
google avatar

Judy I.

Yelp
We had the wiped ricotta honey truffle appetizer, it was so good we love it so much. The pasta and burgers were amazing as well. Amazing bar service and our server was amazing. Tiramisu was amazing. We sat outdoors around 7:45pm which was nice but a little too dark, I wish I have candles or some light for the table. Overall it was pretty good. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
FOOD - basically everything was wayyy too salty. it's something u don't notice at first but the more u eat the saltier it gets. PRICE - kinda $$ considering how good it tastes lel SERVICE - even tho we had a reservation we had to wait like 30 min for the table AMBIANCE - normal

Judd S.

Yelp
The food and service here is excellent. I especially enjoyed their appetizers and sides -- zucchini fries, fried calamari, roasted cauliflower, Caesar salad, and Brussels sprouts. The space is lovely, as well.
google avatar

Magdalena P.

Yelp
Excellent food and service 10/10 Rigatoni Vodka sauce with burrata. I want to eat this one more time
google avatar

Jennie W.

Yelp
We had a spectacular dinner there tonight! The fritto misto was perfection, as was the burrata appetizer. We had the cacio e pepe and the limone pasta with shrimp, both of which were outstanding. We look forward to many more meals in this gem on the UES.
google avatar

Whitney D.

Yelp
Came here for dinner tonight for my first time. I have been to another location 2-3 years ago for brunch. But wanted to try there dinner. We had the rigatoni with cheese, Brussels sprout salad and the meatballs. Everything was great. The dressing used on the Brussels sprout salad was pretty tasty as well. The decor of this restaurant was very pretty. And what a beautiful little bar as well. Our waiter was great and took into consideration all my food allergies. One of the downfalls we experienced though was that other waiters and help would come around to ask if we wanted our water glasses filled although we were not done with the glass we had in front of us. It was a bit much. had 3 or so guys ask us. But besides that I definitely recommend this place.
google avatar

S S.

Yelp
Been there three times. All 3 times rude service, including the big tall manager who eye balls you judging if he should be accommodating and polite depending on how you're dressed, or who you might be. They gave our table to another unbooked regular and tried to force us with our 80 year old friend to sit on the bar or leave. But our original booked table of 2 weeks in advance was not available for the night. Husband went in with his service dog, and not to be seen with the dog got sat near the kitchen out of site and regular customer sight. When the food came out they brought the food in take out bags to rush him and the dog out when clearly the server knew they wanted to eat in. Two salads took 45 min. Food is also overrated. Not bad but not anything special. Do yourself a favor and support a business that treats everyone equal and treats their customer kindly. Not just whom they think should and shouldn't be treated with recept. You live in NYC, there are hundreds of places more worthy. After we were forced to leave we ended up at Felice on 83 and 1st, and there is also AOC (French food), opposite who are super friendly and amazingly kind to dogs. You leave with a full stomach and a smile on your face.

Yelp
I stumbled on this restaurant while on the UES with no reservation for Sunday brunch and the hostess was very kind and accommodated me. The service is very prompt and the menu selection is great. I tried their in-house-made pasta and loved it. Love the vibe here on Sunday and will definitely be back.
google avatar

Sebastian E.

Yelp
Good food, nice space, slow service but it is made up for in quality, and the best tiramisu for 3 miles in every direction.
google avatar

Iad A.

Yelp
The Brussels sprouts were perfectly crisped with a light sweet vinaigrette. The rigatoni pasta was perfectly al dente, with lovely dollops of ricotta. The service was great, how we due to the pact nature of the restaurant it took a few extra minutes for the waiter to come to our table. The ambience was nice, upscale, and cozy. Great place for a date!

Yelp
Amazing food and great vibe! Really friendly staff also which was so nice and refreshing. I got the Garganelli and I would 10/10 recommend that. It was so flavorful - perfectly sautéed mushrooms, buttery base and the pesto was a game changer. Really really good. And don't miss the tiramisu - it's so good! And a huge serving, good for 4 people. It's awesome. They also have some really good cocktails so def try those out!

Yelp
I was worried that maybe I had just bought into the hype. BUT Pecora Bianca was just as delcicous as I imagined. The whipped ricotta appetizer was a complete impulse order and absolutely heavenly. Will definitely be making this my top pasta place on the UeS.

Yelp
We got for take out, and pasta was great. Definitely will come dine in, because if it's good with delivery, it's gotta be better in person. My boyfriend added Burrata to the Tagliatelle and he said it was totally worth it. Note that servings are a little large.

Yelp
JC from Westchester My wife took the family out to this restaurant, we have gone to their Other location on 40thst, Bryant Park I expected the same type of ambiance, Not at this place, the only ambiance was our waitress, the guys in the suits just stood by the front as serious as a secret service agent, guys your in the restaurant bussiness loosen up, at Bryant park the mngrs are all over the restaurant, they come by ask how things are going and just show appreciation That your there, the food was good,my dish lobster and spaghetti was a bit salty, I will return to their framer y park location on 40th st, Ambiance guys make it fun to go eat at your place And remember Mangia bene Vivi bene

Yelp
Staff is very friendly, attentive, and thoroughly explained the menu. VERY loud at the restaurant. We started with the charred octopus, the pesto roja was delicious however octopus was very tough. The rigatoni with burrata (extra $6) was the star of the show. The sauce was creamy and savory. We also ordered the squid ink shrimp linguine which was decent. Good for a date, expensive.

Yelp
Good, not great. We are supper picky when it comes to Italian food, the hubby can create most Italian meals in the comfort of our home. But every now and again, the hubby needs a break so we figured we would give La Pecora Bianca a shot. The space is nice and super busy which is good to see. We had: - Whipped Ricotta Cheese - very tasty - Pasta with Lobster - good, not great Sauce was a little bland. - Penne with Vodka Sauce & Buratta - also good, but not great. The sauce was bland and the buratta wasn't really buratta. It was not soft in the middle. More like a semi-firm, wet mozzarella. - Olive Oil Cake - good but the apple chunks were not sweet enough. - Limoncello Spicy Margarita - good but not served like a margarita which is half the fun. Overall we had a nice evening and we would come back but with our expectations in check.

Yelp
My sister and i were craving pasta and went for the Rigatoni Vodka Pasta and the Meatballs. The meatballs were amazing and our favorite part of the meal. The pasta was also great. We also added burrata on top. This restaurant hits the spot and is great for an Italian craving. We sat in there outside tent which is very heated. It feels warm and cozy. The service was also excellent. We were seated right away despite a packed restaurant .We cannot wait to come again and bring the rest of our family.
