First, the good. The food is delicious and, at lunchtime, reasonably priced. I enjoyed many large shrimp sautéed with green and red peppers, onions, and garlic, served with Spanish rice, refried beans, and a small mixed salad with ranch for a total of $16.49 before tip. The other entrees on the lunch menu, all priced the same, looked equally tasty.
The not so good: not enough staff. Eight tables with 2-4 people at each but only one waitperson on duty. She did fine, but this did mean a slightly delayed food delivery and only one "how you doing?" check in. (Not her fault, so I still tipped well.)
The real turn-off: the music, which blared from the speakers and, in the nearly empty restaurant, echoed off the walls. I'm glad I was dining alone, as conversation would have been impossible. Had I spotted the volume knob, I'd have turned it down myself and avoided the minor headache it gave me by the time I departed.
All in all, a decent experience but, if I come back and hear the boom boom boom of the music when I walk in the door, I'm turning around and walking out again.
