AMAZING STEAK, possibly the best in London. Sides come free of charge. Diverse menu with plenty of choice to satisfy all wishes. All cooked to perfection and fantastic wine pairing. Great for friends celebrations and family dinners. Children menus available also. The service and the personnel are all lovely. Highly recommend this place if you are in the Richmond area. Better than any other steak house around.

La Plata offers the best steak I’ve had since my time in Argentina. I was eager to relive an authentic steak experience after spending months in Argentina, and La Plata exceeded all expectations. I ordered the chef’s special cut rib-eye, cooked medium-rare, and paired it with a vibrant chimichurri sauce. For me, only one drink could accompany that meal: a Malbec from Mendoza—a delicious, young wine that beautifully complemented the rich, juicy flavours of the steak, with every sip enhancing the tender, flavourful bite of the rib-eye. The dessert selection featured classic Argentine options like churros and a luscious Dulce de Leche cheesecake. There were plenty of options besides steak as well, with my vegetarian friend enjoying Tagliatelle pasta and crème brulé. Displays of Argentine wines, Quilmes beer, and charming little jars of dulce de leche created a warm and inviting atmosphere. A must-visit for any steak lover. Highly recommended!

Went here for a spontaneous birthday lunch. Searched best steaks in the area. Decided to try La Plata! Very pleased we did. Partner said it was one of the best steaks he’d tried and he is super fussy. Cut was perfect, Quality of meat perfect. Execution perfect! Super fast efficient service and the owner gave us a Dulce De Leche Sauce jar to take home for our desserts in future. Super hospitable and kind! And he didn’t even know it was a birthday! Will be back again for a go to for steak now! Thank you for a wonderful lunch x

Saw a lot of great reviews so we went to try this place. Nice restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The sirloin steak I got was meant to be medium rare but came out rare. There was hardly any char on the steak and quite a lot of fat on it. I also had the Malbec by the glass, no flavour, barely drinkable.

I come here regularly for the £12 Lunch deal. Really great value for good quality ingredients, polite staff and really tasty food! Would recommend for anyone to give it a try.

We ordered two large steaks (Rib Eye and Sirloin) as well as a Calamari starter. The calamari was amazing and the steaks were nicely cooked (char-grilled). The service and staff were exceptional and lovely. We ordered our steaks medium rare but when the cook noticed my wife was pregnant he proactively returned to us and recommended a safer option, which was very thoughtful of him. The total came to approximately £110 for two (bearing in mind I essentially had 500g steak and my wife had 320g, where the 500g steak might as well be two steaks and we had 3 cokes and starter) so I think it certainly is reasonably priced. We came here for our anniversary for the first time and the lovely food and staff has made this a favourite spot to return to for great meats!

Best steak restourant in London for sure. They are bringing the same meat from Argentina just like the expensive restourants and the cook is awesome. Try medium rare and was very happy of everything. Starters were also amazing, especially chorizon and empanadas. We meet the owner family and we meet Joe. They are so kind and lovely people. The only bad thing was for me to finish the meal and to be full 😊 You may need to make a reservation before you go. The place is not that big but you will taste the best steak ever in Europe for sure. Enjoy 😉

This is a really great place if you are looking for wonderful dinner. Everything was tasty. The steak was out of this world. The service was perfect.

A great family run steak place. Prime Argentinian beef which we had already sampled several times during lockdown. They still sell it by the kilo for your own bbq. Clearly you come here for the meat, plus some beers to wash it down with (it was hot, although it seemed they have some nice wines as well). They do their own chimichurri and a chimichurri butter which was lovely. Was fairly busy on a Tuesday evening so reserving probably helpful.

Food is amazing! Chorizo and beef empanadas were so good! Would definitely recommend coming here for a nice evening.
