La Pubilla - Gastro Obscura

"Chicken paired with lobster; veal meatballs braised with cuttlefish; rice dishes that blend shellfish and chicken: these are some of the most classic examples of mar i muntanya, a style of Catalan cooking that blends proteins from the sea and the land. Although a hallmark of Catalan cuisine, these dishes are getting increasingly harder to find, especially in Barcelona. But at La Pubilla, a restaurant in the city’s Gràcia neighborhood, the tradition lives on. Originally opened in 1912, nearly a century later La Pubilla was taken over by chef Alexis Peñalver and today is considered a reference for modern Catalan cuisine. The restaurant’s lunchtime menu includes a mar i muntanya de la setmana, “surf and turf of the week,” typically a dish rooted in this Catalan tradition but with a contemporary tweak or two. Recent examples include terrina de peu i morro amb pop i parmentier, a terrine of pig face and foot—a Catalan specialty—seared until crispy, and served on a bed of mashed potatoes, garnished with chunks of tender octopus; and panxeta rostida amb calmars i ceba confitada, roast bacon with squid and confit onions. The mar i muntanya is always present on La Pubilla’s excellent value set lunch, along with other dishes that tend to revolve around offal or other off-cuts – the emphasis being on cuina catalana & de mercat, “Catalan & market cuisine,” convenient given that it’s located directly across from Mercat de la Llibertat. It’s also one of a dwindling number of places in Barcelona that continues to serve esmorzar de forquilla, “fork breakfast,” essentially a hearty, meaty way to start the day. None" - Diana Hubbell

Barcelona’s Best Markets: Where to Eat at La Boqueria and More - Eater

"If there’s no room at Joan’s, vie for a table around the corner at La Pubilla, a cramped but worthy locale specializing in Catalan cooking. Though it’s not technically in the market, goods go into specials like locally harvested mushrooms and wild rice prepared in a coconut curry sauce, and botifarra d’ou (yellow sausages made with egg), served with creamy leeks and potato foam." - Chris Ciolli

Google
it was a great experience. The quality of the food was good (i could tell that they use fresh ingredients) and each dish was so tasty. The wine recommended by the house was also good pariring. Not touristy, local, cozy. Highly recommend!

Google
One of the best meal experiences that I have had in a long time. Lucky to get a table. Call, the booking via Insta did not work. EXCELLENT concept: either a la carte or a WONDERFUL set menu with water, wine, coffee and dessert. Words fail me to describe the quality of the dishes. I was/am so happy and satisfied. Thank you!

Google
la pubilla is one of the best places for great food and ambience in Barcelona. Alba and Camilla were super friendly and the typical food is incredible. We ate several dishes and all of them were superior with excellent flavor. I highly recommend them 10/10!!!

Google
We chose this place based on review and without reservation. Didn’t expect the restaurant to be so packed at 2pm. We waited for about 15min and was given set menu to choose the choice for starter, main and dessert. We were pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food. Definitely a place for you to have a good hearty meal.

Google
A meal that I will be talking about and thinking about for a very long time. Every dish just got better and it was impossible to choose a favourite. Exceptional quality and tastes (even down to the bread service). The service was brilliant and made the experience even more special. The wine recommendations and tasters we got were so on point and demonstrated great knowledge. I will absolutely be recommending this to anyone who visits.

After spending a week in Barcelona and trying different restaurants this one was our top. Quality of the food, service and cosy atmosphere. Best croquetas of our trips. It was an amazing experience.

Yelp
Yes, stop over thinking and just come to this establishment! Would have never found this restaurant if my hotel never flooded and got moved near here. It is a very intimate restaurant with amazing food. Best meal I've had on my trip to Barcelona. Everything was delicious and made with very high quality. They gave us with a "green shot" which consisted of liquified vegetables. It was creamy and delicious! We then got the meat croquettes which was one of the best croquette I've ever had. We then had the crayfish paella and the suckling pig with pumpkin. Both were amazing! Finished it off with the Catalan cream and lemon sorbet

Yelp
Excellent!! Great option for fine catelan dining. The tasting menus are delicious and very filling, with incredibly creative dishes. Service is quite fast and friendly. Love the more casual ambiance for the fine dining experience. Highly recommend everything!

Yelp
This was our most memorable meal in Barcelona. We sat at the bar and just kept ordering dishes because the food is just that good. We had the croquettes (mix of different meats), the chicken and fig, the cod, the ribs, and the almond flour chocolate cake and pistachio ice cream. Everything literally melted in our mouths and it was so rich. I can't even think of my favorite dish, but I'll say that the croquettes and the chicken are must-orders. The place is also really cool. The ambiance is low-key, modern, and welcoming, filled with locals. There were two people running the place and they were quite friendly. This is a hidden gem for Catalan food. Definitely make a reservation and go on your trip to Barcelona.

Yelp
The food is insanely good and there are generous portions of it. The menu del dia is €22, which is amazingly reasonable. I have felt supremely satisfied every time I have walked out of here.
google avatar

Vincent S.

Yelp
Was honestly the best meal I have had in Barcelona. It is a very low key environment where I was not even sure if it was open walking up because it was so understated. They have a bar area and formal dining area. It is a bit off the beaten path so it wasnt overrun by tourists as it isnt close to any major attractions. But it is a quick 5-10 walk from the city centre of downtown. The service was great, the server and owner were very friendly, accommodating, explained all the food they were serving. I got the tasting menu which was 42 euros and included a seasonal appetizer, wine/water, and 5 food items. Easily could be paying 12-15 euros per dish at another place given the quality of the main items like seabass and braised lamb that took 24 hrs to prepare. This is a hidden gem in the city . You will not regret coming here
google avatar

Randall H.

Yelp
Outstanding and very local--the tourists will eventually find this spot, but currently the prices are about 30% higher than most menu del dia so that should keep the hostel crowds out. It's also an investment just to find the spot. Once there the space is very nice and hipster, filled at lunchtime with locals. The menu is entirely in Catalan, so a good translation app is required. I enjoyed the menu del dia options, and thankfully didn't pre-translate everything or I would never have ordered the cassoulet with beef head. It was delicious, and I suspected I was eating a part of the animal I'm not as comfortable with, but not knowing was a good thing...sort of like sausage! My second course was a wonderful leek and mushroom ravioli, and finally creme brullé. I ordered red wine by the glass, and getting a refill proved a slow process but eventually it showed up. I would return, and strongly recommend.

Yelp
My family and I had the best time at La Pubilla. The food is absolutely remarkable. We tried many of their dishes and it was very hard to pick favorites. They were all delightful and memorable. We hope to be back in Spain one day and we will definitely be back to La Pubilla. We were also extremely grateful to their staff, who are just lovely, knowledgeable, and described each dish in beautiful ways. Their expertise and demeanor allowed our time there to be truly exceptional. We are truly grateful for our experience at La Pubilla.

Yelp
Items Selected: Americano Warm Bread House Charcuterie, Pan con Tomate Botifarra Negra, Fried Eggs Cod, Spinach, Pine Nuts Unfortunately finding Can Ros closed for a two-week vacation, parking already paid for no doubt making it more opportune to grab something nearby than to walk for more highly regarded food, it was setting aside convenience that two guests made the fifteen minute trek on foot to La Pubilla for Breakfast on the first morning in Barcelona. Said by many to be one of the best restaurants for casual Catalan cooking in the city, a location on Plaça de la Llibertat making the Restaurant a locals-only sort of place with no Spanish or English menus furthering that point, it was just past 09h00 that a seat was found inside the cozy confines and thanks to a one bilingual server it was not long before an order was placed, the menu entirely savory and offered six days a week from 08h30 until Midnight. Visiting during an early hour filled with deliveries, the Beverage distributor creating quite a bit of noise as he placed several bottles of Booze and Water in a small cupboard across the way, it was with one of those bottles as well as two bitter Americanos that the meal got started, a basket of warm Sourdough that looked to have been made in-house actually quite impressive with a great Crust for such a small place as was the Tomato and Olive Oil brushed Bread served with a collection of Charcuterie including two types of dried Sausage brought in from elsewhere plus three housemade varieties ranging from a spicy red Meat laced with Cartilage to some pretty funky Headcheese. Priced much lower than almost anywhere in town for the portion sizes and quality, a plate of rich Blood Sausage and two fried Eggs only €6.50 with nothing on the menu over €10 it was after another ten minutes that a sizable filet of Cod was delivered alongside even more bread, the line-caught Fish meaty and supple atop a bed of Spinach, Olive Oil and toasty Pine Nuts.

Yelp
Good food, bad service. We came for the menu del dia, expecting a quick meal. We didn't have a reservation so we arrived early for lunch (13:00) and luckily got a spot at the bar. When lunch finally started at 1:30 we were very clearly treated different from all the other local customers. People who came in after us without reservation started and finished before us. They consistently seved us last, including not giving us water until everyone else in the restuarant had gotten to place our order. It seemed deliberate. Even when I went to pay, they let other people cut me to pay first. That being said, the food was very delicious and filling, but not the best food I had in Barcelona. The menu del dia is a good deal, but I found better ones with better value, food, and service elsewhere. I was very annoyed at how we were treated and would not go back.

Yelp
Without doubt, this place deserves a 5 star rating from me. I came here for two consecutive days so you can imagine how good the menu was that makes you keep coming back for more. To book for a table, you need to call them for reservations and there's usually 3 timings: 1315, 1415 and 1515. So basically, you only have an hour to finish 3 courses before the customers for the next seating arrives. Otherwise, without reservation, you could also try your luck for bar seats which they reserve for walk-ins. They serve a 3 course menu del dia (appetiser, main and dessert) inclusive of one beverage (wine/beer/any other) for 15euros and I swear, for the quality of the food it is worth every penny. I started with leeks and smoked salmon for my appetiser. The leeks were perfectly grilled, smooth on the inside and the salmon goes so well with it. As for my main, I've chosen the lamb with sweet potato puree and soft mato cheese on top. Hands down, this is the highlight of the whole meal itself. The lamb was braised perfectly, tender on the inside and rich in flavour. The soft mato cheese on top neutralised the flavours of the lamb and the puree. What I like about here is that they're not packed with tourists and I get to talk to my neighbours on both days and realised most of them are return customers. Also, they change their menu according to the availability in the market everyday so you can be assured that they use nothing but fresh ingredients! They're very innovative with their menu so expect dishes with interesting combinations that you've probably never tried before in your trip. The service is super fast, attentive and the staff speaks good english! I had a good experience and would definitely recommend this place!

Yelp
An affordable and authentic gastronomic experience in Barcelona, in an informal environment. La Pubilla offers a fabulous prix-fixe at lunchtime that includes three courses and a beverage for 19 euros. Catalan roots, often with a creative twist. Rice dishes (on Thursday) and other traditional dishes are perfectly executed. One of the main courses is surf and turf, a Catalan signature dish, a different and often startling combination each week (pig's trotters terrine with gambas, for example). Meat, fish, and vegetables are beautifully made. Portions are quite large and you can be very happy ordering two starters. You must call or stop by to make a reservation (due to covid protocols there are only a couple of seats at the bar). Three services of an hour each starting at 1 PM, that's how they can offer such an affordable prix-fixe. The pace is fast, which works well for most people at lunchtime. Waiters speak English well and enjoy doing so (the daily menu is available in English). The staff is particularly caring with people who eat alone and is attentive to the needs of children who may not go for adventurous food (a large steak is an additional option to the luncheon prix fixe). A very unique place that serves some of the best food in Barcelona. Must try!

Yelp
My fiancé and I were brought here as part of a food tour of the Gràcia neighborhood with Culinary Backstreets. It was our first stop of the day and a perfect way to begin! Our group of four split four breakfast dishes: 2 each of the Botifarra and 2 of an egg and Soprasada dish. The Botifarra came with the most delicious white beans that tasted like they had more than their fair share of butter, but uniquely melted in your mouth like candies! The Soprasada dish was one of my favorite things I ate in all of Spain. The soft sausage was laid atop a hearty drizzle of honey, which, when coupled with the drippy egg yolks and all mixed together totally. blew. my. mind! We also had some coffees here, espressos for me and my fiancé, and café con leches for our counterparts. Everything came out very quickly and so fresh from the pan that it was all still steamy! The atmosphere is definitely one of locals, we saw a few business meetings going on as well as friends meeting up for a mid-morning snack and coffee break. Would definitely recommend stopping in!

Yelp
La Pubilla was the best meal we had in Barcelona! They don't speak much English, it is a neighborhood gem in Gracia. They are full every day for lunch, so always call to make a reservation first. We called morning of, and got a 1:30 reservation (their first table time). It is lunch only, and a $14 euro three course meal. There is also an option for a 'fancier' entree for $17 euro. All meals come with a free glass of wine! The food was spectacular. We also had a vegetarian and they made everything for her veggie friendly. She LOVED it just as much as the meat eaters. We had soup or pasta as our appetizer, hamburger as an entree and apple tart or ice cream as dessert. I'm not describing the food as well as I should because it was spectacular. The seasoning was perfect, the flavors were exciting. As an American who speaks little catalan, we were taking a risk with the menu and we were so happy we did. We had no idea what to expect after we ordered and it was all phenomenal. Of note: Takes credit card, reservations REQUIRED

Yelp
A small, hidden gem off the beaten touristy path that is well loved locally and no fuss, fantastic food. Excellent bang for your buck! Be sure to make reservations. Un ambiente relajado con comida elegante y delicioso, pero sin el precio de lujo. Fuera de lugares turistica, tenia gente local y te alrededor del mundo. They offer a menu where you choose one item of the three options offered for each course. If you don't speak Castellano or Catalan they do have an English menu that is usually hand written and the bartenders best attempt to translate so keep in mind not everything translates perfectly and don't hesitate to ask questions for anything you're unsure of. El menu es tres cursos, en cada curso hay tres opciones.

Yelp
It was our last dinner and night in Barcelona, so we decided to take a break from the busy touristy parts of Las Ramblas and venture into hipster Gracia. We were also tired of eating cured meats, tapas and seafood for 3 days straight--as amazing as it all was, we wanted to see what else we could relish in. We arrived at La Pubilla at 830pm without reservations, but Mateo--our bartender/server--welcomed us warmly to sit at the bar. We asked for his recommendations and were extremely satisfied! Though the restaurant is small, the service and quality of food is what makes it fantastic. This is one of the details we noticed when comparing restaurants in Europe to America--the Europeans seem to really take pride! Mateo recommended the meat croquettes, duck with pear, scallops with mushrooms, fried egg on top of potato cream topped with freshly shaved white truffles (omg), beef filet with foie gras and lobster rice. All you could hear from us was "mmm" and "ooohhhh" while we were tearing up the dishes. Every single one was so full of flavor and unique. At the end we ordered a chocolate sponge cake with raspberry sorbet and chocolate truffles. ALL AMAZING. To finish it off, Mateo cheered us with Limoncello! I highly recommend this place--we had a wonderful experience and it was the best meal we had in Barcelona. Make sure you book reservations though because it gets busy!!!!

Yelp
WOW! This was one of my favorite restaurants that I visited on my trip to Barcelona. Luckily, we had our friend, a local, there with us, and he translated the menu for us. It's a Prix Fixe menu. There were a few options that were a bit too exotic for my taste... I did not try the pig snout. Instead I ordered the endive salad, followed up with the beef filet, and then had a lovely chocolate pastry dessert. Their menu changes seasonally, and perhaps even daily, so you will always have something new to try! I had a lovely time, and was pleasantly surprised that it was so inexpensive.

Zhiyuan L.

Yelp
The waitress is really friendly and helpful here - helped us (tourists) find ways to go to Camp Nou :p The brunch tastes pretty good! Love the fried eggs on top of pork belly.

Yelp
Our favorite meal in Spain! We dropped by for dinner without a reservation as it was early (relatively) in the night and were seated immediately. The food was delicious with well-balanced flavors and great attention to detail in the presentation. No English menu but both waiters / bartenders spoke English quite well so that wasn't a problem. Perhaps most importantly, their effusive passion for the food enhanced our experience even more! They took the time to explain the entire menu, pointed out locally sourced ingredients and the heritage behind some dishes, and were very attentive to make sure we enjoyed everything. La Pubilla and its owners are definitely on the rise!

Yelp
We were rushing to take the train and just wanted to have something to eat before we head out, so glad that we found this place! Informed the waitresses that we are in a hurry and asked if we would be able to eat in time. She insisted that food will come out quickly and should stay to eat and we did. Ordered the eggs with pancetta and eggs with pork nose + coffees. The breakfast was just amazing and the pork was so soft and tendered that it's almost like it was melting in our mouths. Eggs were crispy with yolk just cooked perfectly. We made it onto the train just 5 mins prior to department but so glad that we had this breakfast before we left. Also, 10 stars service!

Yelp
Very nice place with good environment. As to the price, I'll say typical for per person is around 25 euros for dinner, so middle to high in Barcelona. As to the dishes, good starter with nice meat. I'll recommend this one if one's budget is enough.

Yelp
This was a good deal for lunch 16 euros and 3 courses. Appetizer, main course and dessert. The options for the appetizer were a little weird compared to what we are use to back in NY but still were tasty. I order the greens bean salad which was with some ricotta and roasted pepper sauce, sounds weird but surprisingly good. My boyfriend got the cod and potato soup as an appetizer it was a bit on the saltier side but very delicious. For our main course we got the veal stew and tuna with spinach & wild rice. The veal stew was very plain to me something I would make at home in my crock pot. Comfort food so to say. The tuna however was DELICIOUS!!!! I've never had tuna cooked always raw when getting sushi. But oh my god was it amazing!!! Dessert we both got bananas with chocolate, we thought it would be a bit different but it was literally cut up banana slices with melted dark chocolate. The food was good nothing crazy but the service is good. When they get busy you will go unnoticed for a little but you just have to flag them down. Other than that everything was great.

Marc J.

Yelp
My wife and I had the tasting menu and sat at the bar. FABULOUS meal, very reasonable price, included a bottle of wine. Friendly bartender and staff, we had a wonderful time. Best meal we've had in our week in Barcelona and we have had some wonderful meals. This is a neighborhood gem where many locals are regulars and know the staff. Make sure to reserve or come late.

Yelp
This review is for the breakfast: on the plus side, great friendly service, clean and quick to get you your food. On the minus side, all the omelette options are very very fat. To the extend that I did not feel well in the 5 min after finishing it and had to take some fresh air. Maybe the salad are a nicer morning dish...

Yelp
This casual little eatery in the Gràcia district was recommended by a friend as a place frequented by locals. We arrived around noon, and the attendant informed us in decent English that a table would come available at 1:00 PM, though we would only have an hour to eat. No problem: we passed the time by exploring a nearby market. Lunch follows a prix fixe format, where a very reasonable 15 euros lands you an appetizer, an entree, a dessert, and your choice of beverage (beer or wine included). In a testament to its authenticity, the menu is entirely in Catalan...my high-school level Spanish was of no use here. Thankfully, the waiter was more than willing to translate the descriptions as best he could. The gourmet preparations were fantastic, and the artful plating blew me away. My first course was a layered potato salad topped with onions, arugula, and thick, buttery slices of salmon. My brother's garlic-parmesan spaghetti with bacon was quite oily but satisfying, though I think I made the better choice. For the main event, I ordered the grilled veal liver mistakenly thinking it was a veal steak. Oh well, good thing I'm an adventurous eater. The chunks of liver were thin and flavorful, the tougher texture melding well with the juicy caramelized onions. If you're not familiar or comfortable with the idea/taste of liver, I would recommend the burger, which looked quite tasty. For dessert, I selected an airy whipped yogurt parfait with fruits. It was decent, although some magrana (pomegranate seeds) would have been undoubtedly refreshing after a rich meal. La Pubilla boasts some great service, beautiful presentation, and fascinating food. Certainly a must-try for foodies and/or those tired of picking at miniature tapas and pinchos.

Yelp
This place was recommended to me without hesitation by the instructor of a cooking class I took at Espai Boisa. I asked for a recommendation for a place that would be really foodie and gourmet, but not formal or stuffy or cost a billion dollars. I definitely suggest to make a reservation. It was so great! The staff was really nice, and the food was amazing. It felt like we were eating authentic cuisine, but with a super foodie touch. Our bill, after a bottle of wine, two glasses of cava, a fish and a meat entree, and tapas (tomato bread, croquettes, scallop gazpacho, and ravioli), was 88 euros, which was more than fair. Highly recommend to anyone looking for this kind of restaurant in Barcelona. Note: There is also a La Pubilla de Talut. It is a different restaurant. You want La Pubilla in the Gracia area. In case you're wondering: Other restaurants I enjoyed on this trip were Martinez (amazing view, delicious food, relaxed vibe, and friendly staff), Big Fish (chic and hip but not stuffy), Cacao Sampaka (foodie chocolate store/lunch spot owned by Ferran Adria's brother), Escriba pastry store (popped in just for a crema catalana) . Sadly did not make reservations in time for Tickets, or make it for the patatas bravas at Bar Thomas.

Yelp
Ended up here after a long day of walking around in the city. We were a bit early, so the kitchen wasn't open yet. But we could order a few cold dishes and some wine. We ordered a plate if cheese, tomato with ham and figs and croquetas. The dishes were excellent so we decides to stay and wait for the kitchen to open so we could try the main courses. We ended up with three different kinds of main courses, salmon (whiskey marinated sashimi-style), cod and veal. I think each and every one of us felt like we just came to food heaven! It was excellent! To finish we ordered white chocolate mousse, and it was the perfect end to a fantastic meal! Staff is very friendly and helpful! Don't get fooled by the minimalistic interior, this is by far the best meal I have had in Spain so far! Price wasn't to bad, we ended up paying about 200 euros for 6 people, with 4 bottles of wine. Main courses are around 15 euros.

Yelp
Yes Yes Yes...don't get the wrong idea it is not 5 stars as in fine dining, but if you want a local restaurant that hits is modern but traditional and not touristy then this is it!! They have limited dishes but everything we had both times we went were outstanding. This is more for a true foodie. Thomas Keller and others chefs books as well as a copy of Larousse are on the shelves. Note it is in Gracia neighborhood which is an excellent place to walk around if you want to be in a more local neighborhood. There are two markets in the neighborhood (one across from the restaurant) and both had a better feel then the main La Bouqeria.
google avatar

Yelp
Busy neighborhood spot where both locals and tourists squeeze in for menu of the day. A hearty lunch at a fraction of the price it should be - served with wine for 15 euros. Would go back tomorrow.

Yelp
Our first stop was lunch at La Pubilla. Ohmigod. The food was bursting with flavors!!! Both the husband and I loved our meals. 15 euro for 3 courses plus wine or beer or any drink is beyond resonable. Holy shit! We started off with fish cakes and cold tomato soup. Both deliciousss. The main course...the pork shoulder dish is to die forrrr. So so so good. This dish made the whole entire meal. The clam and cod rice dish was refreshing and light. It was good but nothing comapered to the pork dish! The dessert was heavenly too. Oii. Stop reading reviews and rsvp now!! Our hotel is closeby. I have a feeling we will be back! They change their lunch menu every day!

Linda K.

Yelp
Casual dining experience with absolutely delicious food. Seems to be a favorite with locals, which leads to long waits unless you have a reservation. Bar seating availability for walk ins. Wait was worth while once the food arrived.

Yelp
It was recommended by a friend as a place that serves modern catalan food. We discovered that from the beginning as we found out we should have booked our lunch -All the locals go there ... But they found a table for 2 and even though it was supposed to be available for limited time, no one kicked us out. Food was served fast and straight from the kitchen - we literally saw it being prepared. Very nice fish and large portions.

Yelp
Fantastic service (especially for English speakers) and amazing food. The ingredients they use really give you a feel for the environment these dishes come from - fish from the sea, vegetables from the mountain. The waitstaff helped us through our order and gave us extensive descriptions on the plates. Was the best meal on our entire Europe trip!

Yelp
Our favorite place in Barcelona. Truly special. Recommended by the people who ran the food tour company we used in both Barcelona and Madrid -- and they know of what they speak.

Yelp
Great food. Great menu del día. Starts at 1:30 and costs 16€. Service not great, but I've found that's par for the course. Check this place out for sure. I've been to a lot of BCN restaurants and menu diarios, this is one of the better ones I've had.

Yelp
OMG by far the BEST RESTAURANT in all of Barcelona. This is a must visit restaurant if you are a foodie and appreciate fine food in a casual atmosphere with personal attention from the owner.

Yelp
OMG the place and ONLY place to go for lunch! If you are near here you just found your lunch spot for the entire duration of your stay, their LUNCH menu changes DAILY! I went there 3 times in a row consecutively and everyday was a different menu. Try and get a lunch reservation otherwise you'll be sitting in bar area or facing a wall. Their food is so ... godly great, you just have to experience this. Top quality meats, drool worthy sauces... I could just go on and on. Their lunch price is just $15 EUR/ person including either 1 bottled water/ fizz water/ beer/ wine for FREE!! Only restaurant I know that does this, this place gets packed fast! And mostly locals dine here so you know it's good!

Yelp
TOP BARGAIN LUNCH! We loved that it was filled with locals; that the food was seasonal and among the most delicious in the city; that the all inclusive price was so incredibly reasonable. The place is wildly popular so a reservation is recommended. Once seated, the menu (only in Catalan during our visit) is brief so with a little assistance we made our decision and from there the service was quick and efficient. We are omnivore foodies and we found the entire experience exceptional. Highly recommended and well worth a trip out of the way.

Yelp
Amazing empenada appetizer followed by incredible roasted pork shoulder that just fell off the bone. located in a very quaint part of town. So good I am bringing the rest of the crew back for dinner.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant !!! Hidden gem in Barcelona. We came for lunch and were so impressed we came back the same night for dinner. Run by serious foodies and you can tell they're proud of their food. The menu changes every day so there's always something new to try! The fried egg with the potato was out of this world.
