How to Be a Good Drag Brunch Guest | Eater

"Home to a weekly drag-brunch event long hosted by Ritzy Bitz, this restaurant was a fixture of the New York City drag-brunch scene and uses its daytime, restaurant setting to create a less intimidating, often first-time drag experience that draws attendees beyond the queer community. When Ritzy Bitz is on stage the vibe is high-energy comedy with dancing and tumbling, though the brunch format also accommodates mellower performers, so patrons are advised to check performers’ social presence and the menu in advance. Expect an interactive show with meet-and-greets afterward, come prepared to tip (tips help offset performers’ costs), avoid disruptive or physical contact with queens, and note that unlimited-drink packages typically lead to rowdier crowds. Overall it presents itself as a celebratory, welcoming community space centered on self-expression." - Bettina Makalintal

6 Great Drag Brunches In NYC

"Snacktime at La Pulperia Saturdays and Sundays, 12pm & 2:30pm Misty Mountains is “that bitch,” according to her single “I’m That Bitch”—and we don't disagree. Misty also hosts Snacktime at La Pulperia, one of the city’s most raucous drag brunches. There’s no separate cover charge to watch her sashay up and down the restaurant, just make a reservation for one of the two seatings, and throw your dollar bills around like confetti. The Latin fusion restaurant has one of the better drag brunch menus out there, and most entrees are under $25 with big portions. Drinks are designed to get you howling—and tipping—and you’ll definitely get your money’s worth if you go for either of the bottomless options. You might even end up staying for the official after-party at 4:30pm. " - neha talreja

Google
Relaxed Hells Kitchen spot that offers tapas, entrees as well as drag brunches (oh my). We sat in the large outdoor covered seating area for a doogie bday. Wait staff were confused a few times on who ordered what dish/drink. Food was good and had a great time.

Had a great experience at Pulperia! Nice atmosphere, kind and attentive staff, but the food was truly the star here. Any paella is a must get but we also loved the ceviche and croquetas. Both authentic and delicious. Mika was particularly attentive and had great recommendations. Looking forward to coming back!

What a nice place to a have a brunch in Hell’s Kitchen district. We experienced the Drag Brunch here. Drag queens were amazing and funny. Food wise ; it was very nice and copious. Totally worth it. Ambiance : amazing and nice small restaurant where people get to interact during the show. Totally recommend it !

Really great food all around. Food is expensive but not overpriced. Great portion sizes, really friendly staff, very clean, amazing tasting food, and amazing plating. All around a 10/10

One of my core memories now and made to my top 5 places I've ever eaten. This place is welcoming. Servers are complete professionals. We ordered the octopus dish, the lobster tostadas and then the seafood plate dish (see picture). I forgot the name of it but here's what I have to say: If you're ordering the the seafood plate dish for 1, which was delicious and the sauce was so unique, then my only ask is don't order any other dish cause it is filling! Again really glad go try the octopus and lobster tacos but the best was the seafood dish. I'm 100% coming again

Fun show, but the wait was real. We got seated at 12pm, drinks came at 12:43pm, and food at 1:10pm. Plus, we were stuck in a corner next to a speaker and wires—not the brunch vibe. Ordered a market salad with extra shrimp and still only got 4 shrimp total. I counted. 👀 Come for the queens, not the service. AND we were charged a large party fee for the 4 of us, even though the website & email said gratuity’s included for 6+. 🧐 The queens were amazing. Worth it for the performance, but service, seating and surprise charges needs improvement.

The best pulpo I’ve had since Portugal!! Staff is incredibly friendly, in fact people who work here create the unforgettable atmosphere and impression. I’ve had red sangria, octopus 🐙and 12 oysters ($1.50 special at the bar). One of the most delicious experiences, will definitely be back again🥂

We were looking for dinner before a show and came across this place. If you tell them you have a show to catch, they'll make sure you get out on time and rush your food orders which we appreciated. They do have a prefix theater menu but we ended up just sticking with the regular menu. Everything we got was delicious, flavorful and filling. We didn't have a reservation and had no problem getting a table right away on a week night.
