"Originally a modest inn opened in 1822, this Vienne institution was made famous by the emblematic couple of Mado and Fernand Point in the early 20C. It was taken over by Patrick Henriroux in 1989 and has since continued to evolve: a designer decor depicts the dining room, a second restaurant (PH3) has been added, together with a charming hotel and a cocktail bar... As for the food, classical recipes are given a contemporary twist, with high-precision sobriety: crisp and soft green and white asparagus, bottarga and Maltese sauce; juicy tender Aubrac beef, millefeuille of potatoes and beef cheeks, jus of Côte-rôtie wine; a chocolate piano flanked by coffee-flavoured egg custard. The lunchtime menu is a real bargain, while the slick, polished service upholds the impeccable traditions of France’s grand old establishments." - Michelin Inspector

We went there to eat. Looked at a bunch of different Michelin Star restaurants and choose La Pyramide. 1. The food was fantastic. 2. They were not transparent with how they were going to administer the meal to the point of wondering if they were intentional in their actions. 3. The parking is ridiculously bad. Loved the food. That is what saves this place. I can see why the food is Michelin Starred. We discussed how we were going to apportion our meal. We wanted to try a lot of different things and share as opposed to a few things that we all eat the same. If they would have said we couldn't do that then we would have been okay, but they did not. They said sharing and choosing how we did would be fine. They ended up bringing full meals to everyone. We did not want to cause a scene at the restaurant, but we paid double for food we did not even eat because there was so much. If they are only going to do it prix fixe then they need to be transparent and only offer that. No valet for a $250 Euro per person restaurant. I had to park 1km away from the restaurant. Ridiculous. In the end, the food was fantastic and I don't regret going. But, I will never recommend this place nor will I ever come back due to their lack of transparency and parking. There are plenty of fantastic restaurants that no one needs to go through this crap to eat.

Outstanding food and service in a dog-friendly hotel and Michelin 2-star restaurant. Absolutely superb, they embraced our dog as a valued guest which we particularly appreciated 👏

This is a very well run and comfortable hotel with excellent service and a reputation for food (the main famous restaurant was closed but the bistrot was very good). The room was quite large and very comfortable and modern, with a balcony as a plus. The hotel has its own closed-off parking area, which is free for guests. A little outside the center, you need a car to get around. My room rate (off-season and not on Thursday through Sunday when the foodies arrive) was very reasonable. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Vienne, where there are several sights to see.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the garden. The food was excellent and very efficient service (almost a bit too quick with the courses). We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back!

Very warm welcome, attentive staff. Great combination of high-class restaurant with an upper-scale hotel togehter - we booked both which was a great idea and very convenient. The property has a secure parking inside which we found useful. Rooms are a bit small but well equipped and with comfy bed - we did not miss anything.

The hotel was simply excellent. The room is perfect and bathroom beautifull, excellently working AC, super clean, we basically have nothing to complain about. Parking is inside the estate, the only disadvatage is a very limited places that are covered.||Overall, we were very happy. Yes and when we were leaving after payment, we received bottle of water (we were asked whether still or sparkling). A nice little courtesy I often miss even in good hotels.

So the hotel is nice but nothing incredible. However… the restaurant…. OMG!! This is another level! For the foodies amongst you.. this is a not to be missed restaurant.|Ambience, decor, it’s ok.. from that side it wins no points. But the food makes up for everything. Exceptional! One of the best in the world!! From someone who has eaten in the best around the world that’s saying something. If you are ever, remotely close… stay at the hotel and eat in this restaurant!! You will thank me for the rest of your days!
