"A pretty little manor house on the outskirts of town, with elegant and refined decor and a pleasant terrace for sunny days. Maximilien Bridier, the young chef, takes an enthusiastic approach to high-quality ingredients (such as hand-dived scallops sourced from Granville fish market), concocting elegant, precise dishes with no frills. A fine selection of wines by the glass and attentive service." - Michelin Inspector

A hidden gem just 5 mins from Central Tours. Superb set course menu seved outdoors in a beautiful old courtyard. Every dish was a-ma-zing and the staff were a delight. Highly recommend.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Most dishes were great but none of them were truly unique and remarkable. I have no doubt about the quality of each ingredient and the chef’s talent but I must stay 85€ per person feels a bit too much when we leave the place without the very feeling of “this or that dish was incredible”. We still had a good time though, service was both very welcoming and professional. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very nice.

Quite unique for less than 100€ cad including wine. Lovely service, waiters do know how to introduce each dish, excellent food, nice wine list.

Our group booked this wonderful jewel in Tours thanks to our amazing tour director. The menu was sublime in every aspect and the service was impeccable, attentive, timely, and truly enhanced the experience to another level. The chef's execution of everything from the welcome morsel, to the amuse bouche, to the lobster entreé, and the fish and soufflé was flawless. Flavors were truly complimentary and the wine pairings elevated each course as well. I wish I could return more often, but I will always have the unforgettable memories.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of La Roche Le Roy in Tours. Located south of tour in a mini-castle/mansion, you will be welcomed with very good food and very generous amuse-bouches and pre-desert. Thanks to menu offering, the price is not steep in regard of the quality. A very good option if your are residing in Tours Sud/South.

Incredible food and warm, welcoming service. Every bite packed with flavour and carefully considered. Great wine list with many excellent and well-priced options. Not cheap but astounding value for the quality that's delivered. Truly memorable meal.

Yelp
Terrific food. Nice people. All the charm of the old world and the sophistication that you expect from a nice restaurant in France. Located A few yards off the road, you could make the mistake to drive just by, thinking you're just going by another small chateau left from the grandiose days when French royalty lived in this area around Tours. A small sign on the side of the road is the only clue that you're about to have a great meal. The food is magnificently served. A short, but very good wine list from the Tours region and beyond is presented to accompany your meal. The service is wonderful and English speaking. Next time you're in the area, turn on your GPS and don't drive-by.

Yelp
For dinner during our one night in Tours we ate at La Roche Le Roy. The restaurant is in a small chateau at the side of the highway leaving Tours. I was worried that the proximity to the highway might tarnish the atmosphere but it did not. We dined al fresco in a lovely backyard patio and it felt like we were tucked discreetly into the French countryside. The atmosphere was certainly not spoiled. Neither was the food. It was delightful. I started with a potted calf's head. It was one of the best examples of a headcheese that I can recall. My wife started the evening in unorthodox fashion with a cheese plate. The cheeses were superb. For my main course I had sweetbreads vol-au-vent. They were cooked marvelously and the sauce (morel mushrooms were the strongest component) was outstanding. For dessert we had a caramel gaufre that was very good. The wine list was reasonable and featured, understandably, wines from the Loire. It was an outstanding meal in a placid setting with impeccable service. La Roche Le Roy deserves its star.
