La Rondine Pizza

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This spot is open till 3am! The owner is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Came in at 2am and he just took a fresh pie out. The pizza was delicious and the owner was very welcoming! Recommend this gem to anybody passing by.

Always fresh, handmade pizza. Their regular slice is delicious but my favorites are the grandma, check Parm, chicken Alfredo, and margarita slices are the best. They have amazing chicken cutlet, chicken rolls, beef patties, and penne a la vodka pasta as well. Great service, very friendly family owned business so you know you'll always get taken care of.

Love their pizza. Best counter slice in Kew Gardens - not a fan of Dani’s sweet sauce.

This man was the nicest man ever. (Owner of the restaurant) he was very joyful at 1 in the morning and also made the pizza fresh and gave us a try of something else he made 100 percent recommend food was delicious.

Have jury duty and stopped by for a quite bite. A bit expensive than most pizza place I have been to. Pizza have good crust and flavor.

This is my go to spot for when Im craving some good delicious italian food, the penne ala vodka with chicken cutlet is my absolute favorite dish from here and i highly recommend it, the chicken parm is delicious aswell and the cheesy garlic bread is incredible, love this place definitely a gem in the neighborhood

Stopped in on my way to JFK - grabbed a plain slice and a bottle of water. Excellent slice. Classic New York. Wonderful sauce. Crisp crust and body. With a bit of heft. Super nice people working there too. I'll be back.

I'm from colorado and this was the Best pizza I've had, service was excellent and the host was the best. Highly recommend LA Rondine in Queens New York. Nice and fast atmosphere great service.

Went with friends at night to grab some quick slices. I got pepperoni slices and my friends enjoyed there's. Quality of pizza and service is amazing especially the nice man working at night. Would recommend!

They used to have a great flavored sauce. Recently I've tried them again after a year or so. Their tomato sauce is more sweet and not really acidic at all and is lacking any flavor. The crust is thick and soft now not thin with a crispy bottom anymore. The cheese is thick like hard-to-chew kinda thick. Overall it tastes like a pizza i can make at home and not worth the $25 bucks spent. It's edible but boring and not tasty.

Ambiance is gorgeous for a pizzeria. Spacious dining area, Artwork murals by H. platochka, comfortable chairs and tables,beautiful antique metal ceilings and mirrors plus clean bathrooms make La Rondine a very inviting eatery. The pizza is delicious. I noticed ever a huge variety and my Hawaiian pizza was delicious.

I had been at this pizzeria approximately 10 years ago and raved to anyone I know about how perfect the crust was at this pizzeria. Fast forward 10 years later, I stopped in to grab a slice and it was still the most perfect crust I've ever had at a pizzeria.

The restaurant is very clean and tidy. The workers greeted me as soon as I walked through the door and immediately assisted me. All the pizza looked good. I hate when I walk in a pizza shop and the pizza looks dry, like it's been sitting out all day. But their pizza didn't look like that. One pizza stood out to me. It looked so good. The guy said it was a chicken, bacon, pepperoni pizza with ranch and chipotle drizzle on it. It was delicious. I will definitely be back for another slice and to try something different.

I ordered through UberEat to try. I got a cheese slice, pepperoni slice, grandma slice, Sicilian slice, garlic bread and onion rings. Price - it felt a bit on the pricey end for the quality that we got. ~$4 a slice. Not sure if it is because I ordered through Uber eats. Food - For queens, this place was not bad. It wasn't quite the NY style late night $1 slice we were expecting but it served it's purpose. The crust has a good crunch and it was airy. The grandma slice was disappointing to me. It just reminded of a thin slice Sicilian with less cheese. The sauce had a bit of a sweetness to it which I liked. In the Uber eats app, it was noted that the onion rings were homemade but it taste and looks like the frozen one you buy in the supermarket. The garlic bread was good. Although, I did have to re-toast it because it got soggy from the aluminum wrapping.

The food and service are always great. The staff knows just about everyone that walks through the door. It's in a great location. You can take out or dine in, bc there's ample dining space. I recommend this location. One of my favorite pizza shops in New York. It's close to the Union Turnpike subway station by train. If you drive, parking may be a problem depending on the time of day.

Normally I rate their food 5 stars. However yesterday I called in a small order, picked it up & they got it wrong. "My friend" is on vacation. This never happens. First the woman at register checks the 2 sodas to see that they are black cherry when I ordered root beer. Ok no big deal, easy change. My order consisted of a breaded chicken sandwich with sauce on the side, no cheese and 2 slices of pizza, 1 Pepperoni & 1 Sausage. I got home & the sandwich had sauce on it & there were 2 slices, 1 sausage & 1 plain. I laughed. It's hard to find caring help. "My friend" I hope you & family have a fabulous vacation. It is well deserved.

Was honestly disappointed by their Sicilian pies. I read and heard from friends that their Sicilian pizza was the best. I was disappointed by the overall flavor and texture. The cheese was ok, amount as well, but the dough was sooo fluffy without being crunchy underneath or on the sides ... it was although just too much dough (so much that the part right where the tomato paste/sauce was, that it was slimy. I don't recall Sicilian always being prepared like that. Doughy, yes but it needed a bit more tomato sauce in my opinion. Not the best Sicilian...

Pretty good pizza spot right by the courthouses. I've stopped in for a slice to go and Ive ordered delivery from them but i have never eaten in. The restaurant is set up long way with the counter to your left and the seating is in the back. They have flatsreens as well in the dining area. The slices are good. Service whether it was picking up or delivery were both quick.

Really good cheesy and perfectly crispy pizza , the guys at the counter are always attentive ready to service anybody that walks thru , the ambiance is your typical American NYC pizza spot , smells great they accept apple pay and its convenient when i'm doing deliveries and order for a quick lunch and 1 slice is big enough to fill you up for a while .

Not sure why this place isn't as heard of since the food here is amazing. I've ordered from the place two times so far and both times I was very pleased with the service. The food tastes delicious, fresh, and homemade. Delivery is pretty quick and everything seems to be packaged well. Definitely a must try if you're craving some pasta YUM

Holy Moley this place is jumping. I thought I walked into an after hours lounge instead of a pizza restaurant. This is a popular spot for employees of the courthouses along with defendants and plaintiffs. Since I've been serving as a grand juror I decided I wanted to try some of the restaurants in the neighborhood. I thought my palate would be satisfied but, unfortunately that was not the case here. I placed a to-go order of eggplant rollatini with penne pasta and chicken parm with penne pasta in garlic and oil. I asked if they could add broccoli to my pasta and they happily obliged. Please be forewarned that there's an up-charge for this. Simply put the food was not good. Not only was the sauce bland but the garlic was missing from the dishes. This should have been the main ingredient along with some type of seasoning. The cheese was oddly placed on my chicken parm. Out of the four pieces of chicken cutlets in my dish only the top two pieces had cheese and sauce. The bottom two cutlets underneath had nothing. My hunny's eggplant rollatini could have been fried a little longer. This also did not contain much seasoning. However, it was tastier than my dish and that's me being generous. I really wanted to like this place being that Italian is one of my favorite cuisines. The staff here is nice. I just wish that the food was better.

Disclaimer: I am pregnant. All I could think about today was baked ziti, but I have had the most disgusting NewYorkItalian (yes, one word, and yes, it is different from actual Italian food) food around here. It took me like, 45 minutes to decide where to order from because I was worried I would get gross food. I chose La Rondine, and I wasn't disappointed. I wanted gooey, cheesy, saucy ziti and I got it. I also order a chicken parm hero and a spinach roll. Unfortunately, I didn't get any sauce with the spinach roll, so I improvised and dipped it into the pasta, and it was perfect. Without the sauce it was good, not great as the spinach was not seasoned. Nothing a little garlic and chile flakes cant fix though. The chicken parm was GIGANTIC, it can easily be shared in my opinion and I don't like sharing my food. (What? Get your own!) It was tasty. I wish I had that side of sauce though because it is awesome and dunking that sucker would have taken it from good to great. Delivery is a little slow (I ordered at 3pm on a Wednesday for reference) so I am glad I placed the order before I was very hungry. It came a little after the estimated time. All in all, I am very happy with my food. Thank you!

I ordered pasta off the menu and got overcharged for it. The pasta did not taste good either, there was just too much spaghetti sauce for the amount of noodles I got. The noodles were super soggy. I also had their pizza and it wasn't great either, overpriced pizza. The workers weren't very attentive as well.

Our neighborhood pizza parlor for decades. A good family owned pizza. I love their pizza. Thin crust, crunchy, and many varieties of toppings. My favorite are double cheese, white pizza. And their eggplant parm with baked ziti is my favorite pasta dish. They're all friendly and welcoming. Come hungry, leave happy!

Repetitiveness irks at my soul. I looked at the pix, I briefed the reviews as to not, ya know, be Repetitive. Repeating is annoying. The beautiful namesake La Rondine from 'The Legend of La Rondine" Famous Italian composer, Giacomo Puccini --- the greatest of all romantics, fell into love with La Rondine, as do all who know it. Every time I go here it's late at night and nothing else is open. The owner is the nicest guy ever and if you tip well he'll just bring you extra pizza without even asking. Love this place

Ok for pizza ONLY! Ordered other food and was disgusting. Had to dump oil out. Worst mean I've ever had. The 1 star is generous. The owner needs to address this bc this was embarrassing. Also, came with NO BREAD. Awful

I'm a fan! Ordered a few slices of pizza to try and every single slice had a great amount of tomato sauce, melty cheese and generous toppings. Slices were also very crispy with a great chew. Ordered a pasta dish as well which was alright but nothing to rave about. But do come for the pizza as it's one of the better ones in the neighborhood for sure!

What a great slice! I've seen the menus delivered to my home and the restaurant pops up on Seamless all the time, but I had the will to try it. What a mistake! Now I know a place close by where I can grab a "slice" without having to go to Amore in Whitestone.

Ordered delivery through yelp from this place. Ordered a large chicken alfredo pizza. It was so great! So, it was my first time using Yelp delivery and I had set the yelp delivery for 8:45pm. I was surprised to hear my doorbell ring an HOUR earlier with the pizza guy standing right outside. Now I am unsure how the timing is on the Yelp delivery settings or maybe this was a mistake that they came in an hour earlier (i wasnt prepared then). Well i guess i can't complain on SUPER early pizza delivery. Better early than never when it comes to food delivery. I didn't expect the pizza to be as good as it was. I really want to try other things on their menu and other pizzas. I will be ordering food from here again and it might just be the same chicken alfredo pizza. Who knows?

I've been coming here for 10 years and it's to say at the very least consistent. The staff is friendly and the pizza is good. Only downsides are parking and that it's directly located across the stress from the court house.

Granted, I am not from NYC, but this was perhaps the best pizza I have ever had in my life!!!! I had the Veggie pizza and it was loaded with onions, mushrooms, bell peppers and broccoli. It was so good ! The crust was perfect, firm enough to hold the mounds of toppings but thin enough and crispy on the bottom.

I love this place, everything is really pretty good ! The wings though are off the hook, really a must try if your a first timer. The best part about la Rondine is the fact that they're open until 3 am !!!!

I have lived in kew gardens since 2014 and ordered from all the pizza places in the area and this is the BEST pizza and wings place out there. This is my first review I've ever written because It would be a disservice to not give this place the credit they deserve. Thank you for the amazing pizza and the wings! The pizza sauce is perfect and the wing sauce on medium is a perfect combination of not too sweet and not too spicey.

I ordered again with friends and the wings were huge, juicy not over cooked. Pizza delicious and filling thank you guys for cooking this food keep it up.

I've had my fair share of crappy pizza, as I've lived in NY my whole life. But this one takes the cake for worst pizza I've had to date. The pictures speak for themselves...

After working out at the gym, I wanted to grab a house salad with grilled chicken. I not only waited an hour for a salad but when the salad was ready to take home, I checked my bag and the chicken was of a slimy consistency. They gave me chicken francaise with house salad! I explained to the counter guy that I asked for grilled chicken ....the owner came by to explain that it's like grilled chicken and it's just lightly breaded with flour and sautéed. I explained to the owner that I specifically asked for grilled chicken, not chicken francaise. He then responded that they don't have a grill for grilled chicken and that they sauté their chicken in a pan.....(Then why did you take my order?) The service is terrible as well as the food.

La Rondine is a great family-owned pizza shop in the Kew Gardens/Fresh Meadows area. The food here is delicious and if you come in to the shop you actually see the owner hand rolling the pizza dough. The pizza here is delicious and they also have great pasta options as well. Everyone here is very friendly and if you come by often enough they will learn your name and treat you like family. Another great thing about this restaurant is that they're open early and close late which is very convenient!

I'm fairly new to the Kew Gardens area and I'm so glad that this place is close by to my apartment! My favorite is their penne alla vodka pasta and pizza slice. Even my husband raves about the food whenever we have it delivered. This is what New York pizza is.

Having been jaded with Dani's Pizza monopoly in Kew Gardens for numerous reasons, which include only having good cheese slices, having orders vanish into thin air, and even having my own slice order handed off to a more frequent customer, I figure "Phucket fried rice, I'll find this one place that my buddy and I first encountered by chance at Last Call (also in Kew Gardens)." Typically, I will tolerate shitty service as long as the food is good. When I walked into La Rondine, I have to admit I felt right at home. On the TV was a Roma game and when I asked the guy behind the counter if he was a fan and he gestured as if to say "Of course" and waved his hand in disgust when I told him I was an INTER fan; I knew I'd found the place. It had all the charm of 90s New York and the added bonus of being down the street from my apartment. Since this was my first time I kept it simple... 2 slices of cheese, 2 pepperoni and two cokes. We exchanged monies, I said thank you and was on my way. What more service do you want? (Also, if you pay with a card and then it gets declined and then a refund is processed, you would not receive the money in your account immediately.You should probably pay cash too. It's better for everyone.) The thing about pizza is that it is so simple you can immediately tell when you will like or love it. The crust was nice and crispy. I think this is essential for pizza . The sauce has a nice bold-tomato-y up front flavor and ends with a sweet aroma and herb. This is the kind of thing that makes me cherish pizza. The cheese DOES have flavor, unless you're someone that orders calamari at a Peruvian restaurant, no wonder why you gave it one star. The cheese tastes like mozzarella, which is typically subtle, not overpowering like a beautiful stinky cheese or provolone or any other bolder cheese blends. For this slice, it works, it is all you need... that nice cheesy flavor to round out the sauce and crust. At its fundamental core, nothing stands out. That is a good thing. Everything is good and works together. Dani's no longer held me at its mercy and I finally had my iconic New York style pizza within walking distance... oh and they DELIVER! They deliver late into the night! As in until 2am! What a thought. This is a straight up New York style pie.There is nothing more could you possibly want.

REALLY GOOD! Boyfriend and I love this pizza spot, as we are here atleast once a week ordering things like pizza, and pastas. Service is very good also and the prices are reasonable. We usually order to go, as it is not very far from our apartment. Their pasta's are usually fresh (not really seasoned) but its nothing a little salt and pepper cant cure. Fettuccine Alfredo very rich in sauce, and they give you a lot of chicken! Will definitely be coming back to try more stuff!
