This cheerful spot dishes out fresh French sandwiches and pastries, perfect for a quick, satisfying bite any time of day.
"Impromptu trips to La Sandwicherie are as inevitable in Miami as traffic, terrifyingly hot summers, and spotting mango thieves in your backyard. It’s hard not to cross paths with this little sidewalk sandwich cafe eventually. Maybe it’ll be for some 3am late-night food after beers at Mac’s across the street, or 3pm after a long, hot beach day. But you will find yourself here at some point, and when you do, get the Napoli on a baguette, locate the squeeze bottle of vinaigrette, and shower your sandwich in sauce until you can’t see the bread anymore." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo
"If you spent an hour chasing your umbrella down the beach after an unexpected gust of wind and are now cartoon hungry—like, everything you look at is turning into a giant ham—then rush to La Sandwicherie. The South Beach sidewalk cafe is known as a late-night spot, so they’ve seen much worse than your sandy ankles, but this place is just as good sober and when the sun’s out. The sandwiches are huge, made to order, and stuffed generously with just about anything you can think of. Grab one to-go or eat at the counter where you’ll have a big squeeze bottle of their great house vinaigrette at your disposal." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"The Beach: South Beach, between 13th Street and Española Way. La Sandwicherie needs no introduction to Miami sandwich obsessives and people who have stumbled over to this outdoor spot after three to seven beers at Mac's. But the original Sandwicherie in South Beach isn't just a late-night option. It's still an essential beach sandwich—especially if you want a sandwich that can double as a floatation device. If you do, order yours on baguette (croissant is your other bread option). These are huge, stuffed generously with meat and vegetables, and you should just go ahead and buy an entire bottle of their vinaigrette to bring to the beach. You'll need it. "Alaskan La Sandwicherie is not the sandwich you seek out for a light Monday lunch. You order from La Sandwicherie to be comforted by a small mountain of bread and cheese and as much vinaigrette is left in the squeeze bottle. Maybe it’s been a hard day or you’ve had between three and six cocktails. When that’s happened to us, we go for the Alaskan, which comes with smoked salmon and glacial wedges of mozzarella. There are Sandwicherie locations in Wynwood, Brickell, North Beach, and Coral Gables, but our heart will always belong to the South Beach location, where this sandwich has, on many occasions, acted as a hangover-eliminating sponge after a long night of drinking at Mac’s." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino
"This no-frills sandwich shop is best known for its late-night offerings and always having a crow. Probably due to its French-inspired sandwiches topped with veggies and a vinaigrette so popular that they had to start selling it by the bottle to meet the demand." - Amber Love Bond, Olee Fowler
