Miami’s 13 Essential Food Hall Dishes | Eater Miami

"Warm tortillas hug perfectly cooked brisket that is marinated in lime juice and raw garlic, stewed with a little fat until tender, then lightly fried before getting tossed with roasted tomatillo salsa, onions, and lime. For an extra kick, savor every mouthful with a dollop of pico de gallo." - Juliana Accioly

Throughly enjoyed our experience at La Santa. I’m currently on a self decided/made “Miami nacho tour” as a hard core nacho girly, and these were some of the best I’ve had by far! Put Juan Benito’s nachos to shame. The chips were freshly made, incredible, flavorful toppings and everything was so well distributed that every chip was a perfect chip. They didn’t have Jalapenos which was initially a bummer, but was quickly forgotten when I discovered their two house made spicy salsas. (Both were phenomenal). Fresh house made pico, great food from the salsas, to the nachos, to the tacos, and the churros. Everything was so full of flavor and the service was amazing. The churros were made fresh to order and the Dulce for dipping was out of this world. I have to admit, I was perplexed by the negative reviews here. Some complained about “order at the counter, taco stand service” - however we were allowed to sit wherever we wanted and were served at our table. The server (who turned out to be the owner) checked in on us several times, continued our orders as our visit went on, and took such great care of us. Word to wise, some will complain just to complain. Reviews are great for reference, but sometimes you have to find out for yourself. I highly recommend taking the negative reviews lightly and checking this place out for yourself. We will definitely be returning,

I was walking down the street, about to get an uber to head home, when I suddenly saw this restaurant. It caught my interest immediately with a beautiful design, a clean and lowkey environment, and extremely comfortable dining area. I sat down and was immediately served by a very kind young lady. I ordered a cold beer, some limes, and she brought me a menu to get my order in. She was extremely attentive and truly happy to help me. I ordered a cow tongue taco, which I was able to turn into two tacos by splitting the meat between the two tortillas I was given! A great appetizer to start with. I then ordered a bowl with more cow tongue. Let me tell you, I’ve enjoyed cow tongue my whole life and it’s hard to come by in a restaurant, let alone made well. The food was delicious, the vegetables were fresh, the rice was tasty, and the cow tongue was phenomenal! I will definitely be attending again very soon when back in the area. I can’t wait to try some of other delicacies on the menu. An excellent experience, environment, service and delicious and affordable food. My bill came out to less than $50, which in Miami, can be hard to come by. If you are in the area or looking for a calm and delicious experience, i’d definitely say it’s worth coming by La Santa Taqueria in Edgewater!

Awful service even worse food. The price is a JOKE for the quality and tiny amount of food you get. The guac had literal freezer burn, the chips were stale, the burrito rice taste like the microwaveable rice you get at a store, the quesadilla was decent but immediately felt all the oil in my stomach after. For a brand new place you’d think they would try at least a minimum. Definitely would not recommend.

I ordered four tacos so I asked the worker no pico de gallo she still put it even though I told her I was allergic to it. She wouldn’t change it or refund my money even though she knows she was wrong.

We had a great time — Service was great, but let’s talk food! Nachos, WOW! Freshly made chips, loaded with all toppings and perfectly distributed. (We’re big nacho people). I can say, best nachos in miami so far! Also had the carnitas, and al pastor tacos that rival Coyo Taco. Will be coming back for sure!

I will not be back. I came with a friend on Taco Tuesday. We ordered 3 tacos each, a water, a soda, and a queso fundido with chorizo. The bill was $78. Absolutely absurd! This is like a taco stand style restaurant. For context, at Bakan, with great atmosphere, sit down restaurant with beautiful decor, a queso fundido with chorizo is $13. Here, where you order at a counter and sit at fast food restaurant style tables, it is $20.50. This is why this restaurant is always empty and why it will probably close soon.

Been wanting to try this place down the street as I heard good things about it. A bit pricey for street tacos and I thought they were just ok. Don’t think I’ll be back, but they weren’t bad. Just better options available.
