La Table Benjamin Laborie

"The view over the rolling hills of Lasne cannot fail but draw your eye as you take a seat in this contemporary eatery. Designer and authentic details have been cleverly mixed in this characterful edifice. The tables on the patio are taken by storm whenever the weather permits. Connoisseurs of exceptional ingredients can now devote their attention to the culinary treats crafted by Benjamin Laborie, whose opulent menu features delicacies such as porcini, seabass and venison from Ardennes. The chef’s talent for spot-on cooking is on a par with the world’s master chefs and he enhances carefully sourced produce by delicate creative touches. An emulsion of Jura vin jaune is paired for example with the subtle acidity of a confit of yellow onions from Cévennes, in a bid to exalt each ingredient’s characteristics. Fragrant black truffle and a concentrated stock of onion add an entirely new dimension to onion soup. Knockout sauces and intelligent combinations create a festival of flavours. Without forgetting Guillaume Vegreville, maître d’ hors pair, who ensures that your meal is as smooth as a silky bearnaise sauce." - Michelin Inspector

Long lovely lunch with great food and drink. Excellent food and refreshingly lacking unnecessary experimentation. Clear and bold flavors. We will definitely come back and enjoy the outdoor terrace!

Taste is good but nothing new personnally or new discovery for me. Felt that the main dishes were a bit cold or not warm enough in my opinion. Our room was small and cosy but it can quickly become noisy depending on the voice volume of other clients.

We had an excellent dinner. The setting is delightful with great views across the valley. 5 course menu. was beautiful in aspect and taste. The selected wines were very well matched, and the service was at once discrete, attentive and amusing.

The Chef Benjamin excels in sharing his passion for food, colors and shapes. The esthetic of the restaurant and on the plate is superb. The service is of the highest quality and the overall experience a pure moment of bliss.

Just the beginning but very promising. A real gourmet restaurant where quality prevails. Both in the kitchen and service. With the Amandier in Genval, will surely be one of the more gastronomic restaurants in the region.

Elegant atmosphere, delicious food, and great service. The wine recommendation was perfect.

+ Food: above par, but lacking appetizers (amuse-bouche) - Choice of sweets after desert (along with coffee or not) quite disappointing + Service: friendly, but on the slower side + Venue: original and toward the higher end - No parking (to be considered if street parking unavailable) - Way overrated considering comparable lunch experiences; paid 210 EUR for lunch for three, out of which two didn't drink at all (only 1 glass of wine was ordered) Conclusion: good, but not up to its price standard.

Creative plates, well proportioned. The food was delicious. Despite very slow service due to a staff shortage, I've already booked another lunch.
