"Timeless and elegant, this French American restaurant by the Galleria immediately makes you want to celebrate something—anything. And you can do it in one of several settings. "First impressions?Timeless and elegant, this restaurant by the Galleria immediately makes you want to celebrate something—anything. What's the crowd like?Even non-regulars seem like they belong here—everyone projects an air of cool confidence. The crowd is split: Casual diners in expensive workout gear or designer jeans, fine diners in suits or patterned wrap dresses. You'll definitely spot a red-soled shoe or a flash of Valentino studs. Recommendations for drink orders? If there were ever a place to drink Champagne, this is it—either in a sparkling cocktail or straight from the bottle. Now for the star of the show. What should we order to eat?La Table is several restaurants in one. There's a solid to-go bakery, a casual menu and outdoor dining at Marché downstairs, and a fine dining bonanza at Château upstairs. Must-try items include the French onion soup upstairs, yellowfin tuna flatbread downstairs, and any of the fun cocktails. The social media mavens will undoubtedly order the avocado toast, which is actually really quite good. Is the service noteworthy? The staff is well-trained and professional; the food is well-timed and efficient without making you feel rushed. We celebrated an anniversary here, and the servers seemed genuinely excited to have us. Sum it all up for us.This is a place to take people to celebrate something, whether it's a casual get-together or something that's been on the books for weeks." - Diana Oates

"The gorgeous, posh interiors of La Table complement the high-class fare and high-dollar price point. La Table has designated each area of the four-tiered dining space with its own signature name and style. The upstairs fine-dining area Château offers a seasonally changing menu featuring food fit for even the most refined French palate. Signature dishes for two include the dover sole meuniere with grilled asparagus in a brown butter sauce for $60 per person, and cognac flamed Texas long-bone Akaushi ribeye for $190. Add a half-ounce pour of luxury cognac Louis XII for a meager $85." - Nadia Gire

"The posh interiors of this Uptown eatery are split into different areas, each with its own name and style. Find cakes, pastries, and cookies at downstairs bakery counter Macarons, or enjoy a casual lunch at Marche. Upstairs, swanky dining room Chateau awaits, where diners can dig into La Table’s decadent pasta dishes. Be warned, though: the price tag here matches the luxe vibe." - Nadia Gire

Very, very good. Atmosphere very pleasant. We sat out on the patio. Service was excellent. Food portions were such that you can order an appetizer, entree and share a dessert for the perfect fullness. We ordered the deviled eggs (forgot to take a pic), filet, red snapper with saffron aioli and ravioli. My husband switched out the potatoes for creamed spinach and they were divine. I would have ordered dessert but we were in a hurry. (The hazelnut gateau looked amazing.)

Google
FIVE STARS!!! Absolutely extravagant! Food was delicious and the BEST waiter in Houston (Rob) was absolutely fantastic. If I lived in Houston…my wife and I would be regulars! Highly recommended. They do have valet parking, it was only $5 👍🏾

Google
Amazing place! So delicious! Do not miss the MARGARITA PICADOR! The best! Beefs are awesome, other plates look great as well. All dessert options were good, just an advice the Crème D’Orange Caramel were a bit too sweet, but the Gâteau Marjolaine and the Apple Tart Breton were a majestic close to our dinner. Service was at the level of the restaurant!

Google
Very deserving restaurant where everyone make you feel VIP. The owner and the staff always accommodate the way you like to be and treat you very special. The food and wine selections are ample. I like the overall atmosphere and very selective clients. Special place to have a fine dining. Always reserved in advance for best seating .

Google
Fantastic food , presentation and service. Probably one of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. The owner is super friendly, this isn't a great location in Houston. I highly recommended. Has two floors, and an outdoor patio as well.

Google
Great food, great atmosphere and great service. Our server was Michael and he made our experience one that is worth talking about. We loved every second of our time there and we’re definitely going back. And the food is amazing. So if you’re thinking about a date night or a first date it’s definitely the place to go to.

Google
We went here for our anniversary and were not disappointed. The duck, lamb chop, and octopus were all good. My wife usually doesn't like the taste of lamb but she enjoyed the lamb chop here. I personally liked the duck the most The duck skin was nicely seared and well marinated. Very nice atmosphere and great for dating as well.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Friday around 7:30 PM & it was a fairly decent crowd, almost full but not quite. Our bartender, Ana, was the absolute best. I've never had such great service! She's what made my experience so great. I had a variety of drinks including; (2) espresso martinis (seriously the best I've ever had), Provence margarita ($16) which had a nice kick to it, 1797 Mai Thai ($16) which was sweet & refreshing, & lastly, a Polanco which was the perfect last drink, strong with the first sip & a beautiful taste after. I completely recommend this spot & definitely ask for Ana.

Yelp
We were here yesterday to try out the HRW menu. It's our 1st time here and we were very impressed with the service. Our server Damian is awesome. Since we had limited to come back to work for an unexpected meeting. Damian went all the way to make sure our lunches serve as quickly as he could. The manager came by our table few times to check on the service that was a nice touch. Food was good and the ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and nice. They do have valet parking at the front door and self parking in the back which also have access to the nice patio in the back of the restaurant. Strongly recommended this restaurant.

Natasha L.

Yelp
Small portions with a huge price tag. Customer service was great. The interior was beautiful, but the menu selection is very limited. There's free parking in the back and it's really convenient. You're given bread & butter when you're seated. Bread was hard. Really chewy. Damn my jaw hurts! For dinner, I had the lobster risotto and it was great! Just wish there was more... a lot more! Final thoughts: been there, done that... next adventure!

Farheen D.

Yelp
$$$$$ restaurant! Love the interior with the books and Parisian music playing. Even though the food is good there is nothing French about it. Classic American burger, soups, salads and entrees are on the menu. Have tried their cheese burger, French onion soup, prime rib with a side of mushrooms ($16 just for those) along with octopus and mushroom pasta with truffles (special). Our total came to almost $300 after tip which seemed exorbitant with only 2 beverages. Parking is at the back of the building which is a bit frustrating. Overall enjoyed our experience but doubt will be back given the high price tags. Would also appreciate if they add a French twist to the menu as there is nothing so called French bout it currently.

Yelp
This place is closed. Out of business. Even the phone number and website do not work.

Ryan B.

Yelp
Love love love la table it is so cute. The service is really good and they have an upstairs which is really fancy and downstairs is more casual but both have amazing food.

Liam C.

Yelp
Have been here twice, mainly because someone gave me a gift card. Food was delicious both times. Standouts for me are the salmon and steak, both were melt-in-the-mouth tender. Although for fine dining French there are a couple other places in Houston I like a little more.

John H.

Yelp
Great, but slow, service. The food is... French. If that's your thing, it's probably great. The wine was amazing... Started with the oyster and caviar appetizer. Very rich, creamy, and bland. Then came the red snapper soup. It was good. Kinda like gumbo without the spice or complex flavor. The chocolate hazelnut dessert was fantastic. Spend your $250 elsewhere.

Kayla N.

Yelp
I'm updating my review from a recent dinner here. The foods execution and taste are much improved. I particularly love their truffle pasta. We had: 1. Oysters on half shell with Bollinger La Grande Annee 2005 2. Foie gras terrine with the Chateau d' Yquem flight 3. Tagliatelle pasta with black truffle 4. Octopus with harissa 5. Prime filet mignon 6. Berkshire pork chop 7. Overture red wine 8. Selections of their desserts 9. Louis XIII 10. Cognac flight Delicious meal and we had wonderful service.

Sarah H.

Yelp
Great first experience at La Table! Upon arrival there is valet or you can self park behind the restaurant. We made reservations in advance for the patio. Service was top notch, attentive and attention to detail. The Avocado & Cucumber Salad was AMAZING--so fresh and tasty. Don't miss out on this. I ordered from the Classics Menu which is three courses and included the ravioli and flan as well. I would order all of these items again. The only miss was the cocktails, a bit overpriced for what they were and not very good. I recommend sticking to the wine list here. I will be back and am very pleased with my experience.

Luciana M.

Yelp
So happy with La Table reopening !! What a great vibe, food, drinks, customer service, ambiance , BRAVO !! By the way the renewed patio is great including the addition of a DJ !! Oh can't forget the Champagne area just at your right as soon you step in. My next visit is already scheduled !!

Yelp
My favorite restaurant so far in Houston! What a fabulous experience that I will definitely repeat upon my next return to the city. La Table is a beautiful, quiet, and intimate restaurant. Every member of their staff from the host to the servers and the knowledgeable sommelier was friendly and helpful. This team is all about the details. A stool to hold my purse, artistic food presentation, and appearing immediately to clear plates within a minute of completing a dish. The food was delicious and I wish I had room at the end to try the desert as I'm sure it would be delightful. I was craving a salad but wanted something simple. They were kind enough to create an off-menu mixed greens salad for me upon request and it was the perfect start. The duck breast was my main course. It was cooked superbly and came with a side of the most satiny yummy potato purée. With my meal I had the Consortium Cabernet and was extremely pleased with the flavor. So much that I tracked down a location where I could buy it and ordered a case. Yes, the sommelier at La Table really knows what he's doing. My only recommendation for enhancement to the dining experience would be to offer warm bread options at the beginning of the meal. A traditional French baguette or a pumpkin seed roll are provided but both were served cold and nothing beats nice warm bread. :-) From the moment I walked into La Table I knew it was going to be a good night. If you're in need of an upscale dining experience with unbeatable service, this is the location in which to dine.

James N.

Yelp
An outstanding dining experience from start to finish. Ideally located in the Galleria district. Beautiful bar area while we waiting for our table. Exquisite and personable service. And the food left nothing to be desired. Ideal for a romantic evening for two or a group of business clients. I will most certainly be returning and recommending.

Christine N.

Yelp
Quaint little lunch spot, and I'm sure they have an excellent dinner as well. I went for a light lunch and anywhere they serve a good lobster bisque I'm easily pleased. The waitstaff was very attentive, knew the menu. The service was impeccable. The manager stopped by to say "hello." It's really the small things that make you come back to a restaurant. Feeling like a queen is one of them. The set up is very clean and simple. You feel like you're in a bistro. The ambiance is light and airy. Parking was a bit confusing, no parking in front, had to drive around the back and figure out where I wouldn't get towed, but that's something you can't blame the restaurant for in the Galleria area. Long story short. I'll be back.

Eman F.

Yelp
We only came in for drinks and dessert, but it was so lovley...I was craving a soufflé, online it shows they still have one, but do not make that mistake lol...I still enjoyed my hazelnut dessert, and tea. look forward to trying the food. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was so friendly, and the place is absolutely beautiful.

Shirley S.

Yelp
Visited here for Houston Restaurant Week and had a fabulous experience. The ambience was so nice and the food and service were well above expectation. I ordered a cheese soufflé for the appetizer and the chicken for the main dish. Soufflé was sooo good! Very fluffy and cheesy but not greasy. Also the chicken was so soft ,tender and flavorful. Desserts were $5 each and we decided to order 3 of each on the menu. I'm glad we didn't all order desserts because 3 was more than enough for us to share. Overall I really liked the restaurant and their food so definitely will be coming back for another occasion!

Kathryn R.

Yelp
The cooks / chefs are amazing. The front desk service was ok. I got to an event and they gave me a look like you are under dressed. I wore a leather jacket for a dinner party. The food was amazing and I recommend it!

Jinlu L.

Yelp
This is the first time come during the COVID-19 !New renovation! The food is still great! There are three dessert options for This year's Houston Restaurant Week, all of them delicious! Better and better! I'll be back soon with mask!lol ~Highly recommended for afternoon tea with friends!

Yelp
This is my go to place when I need French food and need to be pampered a little. I easily made a reservation for the patio. I started off with their Old Fashion that was very good. As a bread snob I appreciated the two small sourdough baguettes with salted butter. For appetizer I had the octopus which is really a Basque dish. it was spectacular - extremely flavorful but not hot as you might expect with a lot of peppers. It was beautifully arranged. I then had the ravioli for my main - 7 little pillows of short rib in a delicious sauce that I used more bread with (yeah, I ate way too much bread). If it was not a public place I would have licked my plate. With the ravioli I had a nice glass of Sancerre. I finished with the apple tart (delicious though I am more of a chocolate man) and decaf espresso. As usual, another great meal here.

Ashe B.

Yelp
We went for valentines and everything was incredible! Service, food, cocktails, ambience~ Definitely give it a try!

Michelle N.

Yelp
La Table is off the table! Service was horrible...at first then the waiter started picking up slack after receiving dishes that we kept having issues with. First thing the waiter asked was about cocktails not water but cocktails. We just wanted ice water with lemon. After receiving water, the ice never came until 10 mins later after ordering our food. The lemon was never received (I gave up) --Oysters on the Half Shell (3/5) - A pre-made sauce migononette and some lemon on the side. I didn't like the sauce a little too vinaigrette-ish to my liking. I wish they had horseradish and regular cocktail sauce. As for the oysters, needed to be more chilled it was a tad briny and salty but fresh. --Hudson Valley Foie Gras Terrine (3/5) - Not the typical foie gras you think. This was more like a cold pressed pate with their brioche bread. The foie gras was good, creamy, a bit sweet, and a bit bitter. As for the bread, it was very stale, and he kept insisting it's a different type of bread, but I've had brioche before! He replaced the brioche and brought us some baguette from the bakery area and "warmed them up". The bread was super hard and chewy and the insides were still cold. --Scottish Salmon (4/5) - The only dish we enjoyed most. The fish was a little dry but when you drizzle the sauce over the salmon then it tastes better, made it more moist. The sauce was a bit buttery, and a tad of sweetness, and we loved it. At the bottom of the dish was a bed of rice with some really hard turnips. --Ravioli (2/5) - I was hoping they had the mushroom ravioli, but I guess their dishes are seasonal. Goat cheese, spring peas, and mint. The veggies and creamy sauce was great. As for the ravioli itself, the cheese was very pungent. Almost as if it were to be blue cheese which I hate! I have had goat cheese before and never had a problem with it, this was a bit much for my liking. --Frittes with Bearnaise Sauce (3/5) - After ordering all the appetizers and entree, 5 minutes later we decided to add this on as well. This was the second dish we received and the rest didn't come out til 40 minutes later. Just a side of fries that came with bearnaise sauce. We received ketchup and had to ask for the other sauce it was suppose to come with. The food runner seemed like he didn't know what I was talking about. Got so tired of asking for this, so we just continued to finish our meal until the waiter finally realized that we still didn't receive it. He apologized and said most of their staff was new. The sauce was good, had a tart taste to it and it was creamy. The fries were crispy, they were about the size of McDonald's fries. Topped with herbs and seasoning. --Lemon Merengue Tart (3/5) - I would probably give this a 4 if it came fresh out the bakery. It was still good though! The merengue was torched at the top but it was soggy, the filling was perfect, not too sweet and had enough of the lemon tart in it. This whole experience was really annoying and I felt the waiter also felt our distraction. He comped our drinks and dessert which was really nice of him. Honestly there was so much more I wanted to try and my expectations were pretty high here, but it didn't go as planned. I don't think we would return back here, we also felt a little sick when we got home.

Jay F.

Yelp
I love the dark setting, nice place to hold a date night. The oysters are always fresh and decent size, however at time the service may disappear.

Anthea R.

Yelp
This French Restaurant is chic to the nines! The service starting from the complimentary valet to receiving our post meal bill was impeccable. The decor is modern and fits in right at the heart of upscale galleria. The waitstaff is pleasant and very attentive to details and your needs. Last night I had the pleasure of trying out their HRW menu and well made cocktails with my beau. We made an impromptu reservation at 8:00 and once we got there we were greeted and seated immediately. They took our order and took extreme care and note of my food allergy needs and every single dish came out like clockwork and on time. The moment we finished each dish, the others were ready at the perfect temperature. They never skimped on replenishing us with new silverware either. We had the cheese soufflé and crab salad. The cheese soufflé was to die for. The crab was very good but we thought it needed a crunch rather than avocados because it didn't add much to the dish. The soy broth gave it a lift though and kept making me go for more. For our second course we had the salmon and duck. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was on a bed of risotto and asparagus. It was light and delicately flavoured. The duck was fantastic. Right amount of fat, gaminess, and peaches and mustard reduction sauce and I was scraping every last morsel. The portions were decent and left us with enough room for their famous chocolate soufflé and raspberry jam choux pastry. The chocolate was decadent and not overtly sweet and perfect. The choux on the other hand left me wanting more. The pastry was more biscuit(cookie) crumbly texture instead of the French choux you'd expect. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and would definitely come back again, and again.

Kyle B.

Yelp
The food was hit or miss but the ambiance, drinks and service were all top notch. My party got one of every entree of their condensed menu (Covid) and the one that stood out the most was the short rib ravioli. The burger was also deliciously juicy and the fries perfectly crispy. We also got one of each of their desserts and their apple tartlet was outrageously good. Don't go with any other dessert. I would definitely come back when their full menu opens up!

Catherine N.

Yelp
Upon entering, I was amazed by the aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. I opted to sit upstairs at the Chateau and it was equally very elegant and eye pleasing. So onto the food: Oysters (3/5) My oysters were really skinny and I've just had better oysters elsewhere the sauce was really good though. Jumbo Lump Crab Salad (3/5) It was a typical crab salad, it was very fresh and I liked the sauce on the bottom. Scottish Salmon (5/5) This was delicious! My salmon was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed every component of the dish because they complimented each other very well. Opera Cake (3/5) It was a coffee layer cake and it was okay. I've had better cakes maybe I'll come back and try their other desserts. Service was nice, Juan, my server, was very attentive and friendly. He informed me that there was a chef from New York there that day adjusting some of the dishes. I can't say I'm not pleased with it. Overall, it was a solid experience and I would return to try their other dishes. I'm also asian and I'm pretty sure they didn't refuse to seat me upstairs because of my race.

Catherine L.

Yelp
La Table opened up again right before Thanksgiving with some new menu items! They also added a BEAUTIFUL patio It's the perfect date night spot! I highly recommend the grilled oysters, French onion soup and the ribeye for two Their drinks were also super good I enjoyed the lavender drink but I subbed tequila for rum

Claire L.

Yelp
I was a bit nervous to make a reservation here for houston restaurant week because of the mixed reviews on yelp but I'm glad I did. I previously loved my experience at the second floor - chateau - so it was nice visiting here again. Beautiful restaurant. Great service. We sat inside right behind the staircase which was actually cozy and perfect. The staff was very friendly and checked on us multiple times! From the HRW menu, we ordered Frisse lardon salad, grilled corn and peach salad, rigatoni, summer risotto, profiteroles, and creme brulee. Literally every single plate was delicious and the desserts were amazing! OMG I can't stop thinking about the taste of our desserts. The portion was just perfect and after, we were so full. Definitely will be back! I recommend this place. Parking is complimentary valet.

Annie H.

Yelp
Went here for HRW with my friend and we had such a lovely time! The ambience was calming and very relaxing almost. The service was TOP NOTCH. Constantly got our water refilled and attention. I got the beets, rigatoni, and crepe brûlée. The beets were sweet and had a nice bite to it. The rigatoni was a little salty to my taste. Creme brûlée has a nice burnt top, it wasn't too sweet. Would recommend you guys to at least give this place a try or two.

Natasha K.

Yelp
Came here for Houston Restaurant Month for lunch. For appetizer, I got the FRISÉE LARDONS SALAD. Overall, it had a nice flavor profile. I did think it was a bit too acidic for my liking. For main course, I got the Salmon with saffron broth. I enjoyed it quite a lot. They prepared the salmon medium as I requested. The broth went well with the salmon and was not overpowering. Service was great as always. Quick and friendly staff. Interior was clean and well maintained. Lunch was pretty filling.

Christina H.

Yelp
This place is every interior designer's dream. Beautiful from the minute you walk in, see the bar, walk around, go upstairs, dine, ALL OF IT. I love the ambiance here (clearly), I think that's what also makes my meal that much more enjoyable. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with the Canadian Bacon. Delicious! If this is your first time, you are probably wondering, what's the difference between Marché and Château, Marché is casual dining on the first floor, while Château is a bit more elegant upstairs.

Claudia F.

Yelp
We tried this new place for restaurant weeks, and we went on a Saturday for brunch. The place is a really nice place, lovely Decour and friendly people. There was an error in our booking for reservation but they were nice enough to accommodate us despite them being full. My friend had the chicken, and I had the brioche toast which was decadent despite not even having to use syrup. Overall, I will probably go here again.

Dave C.

Yelp
Brunch highlights were the grilled chicken and creme brûlée. Appetizers: Frisée Lardons Salad, Beet Salad, & Grilled Corn & Peach Salad Entrees: Roasted Chicken Breast, Eggs Benedict, & French Toast Dessert: Profiteroles and creme brûlée Plating, as you can see, was beautiful. Service was okay. They were slow to get things going even though it wasn't busy. We sat there about ten minutes before anyone brought water or even took drink orders. For the Galleria / Uptown area, parking was plentiful in the back.

Nitin G.

Yelp
La Table is the quintessential Post oak bistro for a quick lunch, business meeting or family dinner. The service is always on point, friendly and efficient and the food is is perfect on most points. My personal favorites are the steak frites and the lamb burger for lunch. And the flatbreads, steaks and pasta dishes for dinner. We've only experienced one dish that was subpar and that would be the risotto. On multiple occasions it's come out under-cooked and my only take away there is that "why did i order the risotto as it's a french restaurant" - but I do believe it's been removed from the menu now. The cocktails are an additional highlight, always prepared expertly by a friendly and chatty bar staff!

Jeena K.

Yelp
Made a last minute reservation this morning as soon as I woke up on Open Table and got a reservation for 11:30am. They seated us on the 2nd floor which was completely different from the 1st. It was very fancy with nice group seating. Our server was sweet and super enthusiastic about the food and menu. She gave us a nice detailed menu explanation that was thorough. Our group decided to order the brunch items and salad. I loved the salmon eggs Benedict with a side of avocado! It was excellent! The hollandaise sauce was perfect and it came with a small side salad and roasted finger potatoes. The French toast was very unique. It had a custard taste that was crispy in the outside and moist in the inside. It was sweet and a perfect dessert with my coffee. A manager went around to each table to check in on the guest, which was nice and the assistant server/ bus boy was very attentive and super friendly. I loved it! It was a great place for brunch and not too expensive.

Jim B.

Yelp
One word, Wow! Probably the best customer service in the Houston food industry!! What a great experience!! This food forward restaurant has an excellent vibe and an amazing wine list. I can't say enough good things about La Table. Go check this place out and let me know what you think.

Mauricio C.

Yelp
Excellent selection of wines, perfect for a large groups great patio, if you looking for a romantic night this is the place ask to be seated on the second floor. Great happy hour and live music on the weekend, excellent service, I also recommend to make reservations

Asabe H.

Yelp
Breakfast/brunch is more of my thing. I had been here previously during Houston restaurant week for dinner, so I was excited to finally try the breakfast/brunch menu. It's in the galleria area, very nice location. Valet was complimentary this day not sure if it's every day. It's a two floor building with the ground floor more casual like a bakery and bar setting while the top floor is the formal dining. It's a French - American restaurant. I had my favorite meal from any restaurant, French Toast. Which was very yummy.

Victoria M.

Yelp
Setup: HH into dinner The good: Service, food, ambience. Mushroom flatbread, pea ravioli, lobster bisque, foie gras, cheese soufflé, chocolate soufflé The bad: Noise level downstairs can get excessive due to the openness of the space. Lots of echoing. Observations: Casual and formal dining options, comfortable seating, parking in the back or valet

Angelica D.

Yelp
My friend and I were very excited to try this place out but upon getting there the lady at the entrance doesn't even give us a chance to walk in, just let's us know at the door that all tables are booked which is understandable but could have surely been communicated in a more polite manner.

Leslie K.

Yelp
I've been to both Philippe and Table on Post Oak and each time I had a solid a-okay experience. The food was consistently prepared well, however lacking a wow factor? When making a reservation for La Table I couldn't help but think third times a charm? Short version: Overall, the food was (3/5) as it always was. I am not giving a higher rating because I don't think the food is worth the price tag. I would recommend sticking with a table side service entree. The chicken was tasty. The lamb or ribeye sound delicious too. 5 stars for service! Really awesome experience. I'm also very happy that they kept their freckled pepper signature drink. So good! Long version: First off, really glad they redid the interior of the restaurant. It's a lot brighter. Getting rid of those white things hanging from the ceiling was a little overdue. I really liked the service and the addition of table side service. All of our waiters were very attentive. It's a nice change to receive such formal service: we had a plate change, all of our entrees were presented at the same time. Furthermore, our leftovers were packed and left at the maitre d station to be picked up upon leaving. We tried the chicken for table side service. It was fun watching our head waiter cut the chicken so gracefully and with such a sharp knife. We were able to appreciate that the quality of the heritage chicken meat was better. It was prepared to be very tender without too much fat. Aside from the pureed potatoes, the sides fell flat for me. This dish could feed 3 people. For appetizers we tried the lobster bisque, beet salad, lump crab tower, and foie gras. All were portioned for ants, but the waiter did warn me that they were smaller. Everything tasted fine. Out of these, I would recommend the beet salad. For entrees we tried the short ribs, roasted salmon, and trout. All were prepared well, nothing too exciting. I would recommend ordering the chocolate soufflé. It wasn't too sweet and very delicious.

Yelp
Very expensive for mediocrity at its finest. Came here on vday 2018 and was seated at the marche. It was a bit crammed and was super close to the table next to us. We ordered the seafood plate to start and was ok. Best part was the oysters and the 4 shrimps but not worth $45 per person. The vday menu in the marche felt like we were settling for dinner. Nothing too exciting on the menu. Luckily our waiter Max offered the chateau menu which I happily ordered the lobster (which later the kitchen ran out!!) and my hub ordered the steak. Our steak dinners were very tough and chewy. I would say the best thing on my plate was the fries and that's pretty awful to say. The soufflé looks amazing but is ok. We really wanted to love this place and keep coming back! This is a place you don't come for food but for service as our waiter Max was absolutely phenomenal and went above and beyond to help elevate our experience. Definitely will not be coming back here mostly because the food was not worth the price. I've had better steaks at outback for way less than $500! Smh

Yelp
We had an amazing Valentines dinner date night at La Table, the food, the atmosphere and the service were all spectacular. I wish the view was nicer, since there were quite a bit of construction going on outside and we had a 2nd floor window seat, but the inside was really nice, with beautiful ceiling lights and large comfy couches. The crab cake salad was so delicious, with large lumps of crab meat, avocado and other veggies that perfect the look and taste of this dish. I definitely recommend this for appetizer. For entree we got the table side chicken, which is pricey ($55 per person, so $110 for the two of us), but they used Heritage chicken and put on a little show to plate everything in front of you. The chicken, vegetables and mashed potatoes were all perfect. They only have a few every night and they sell out super fast! They had 4 when we went, and 3 tables including us ordered simultaneously and it was only 6pm! For dessert we got the one that resembles apple napoleon, it comes with salted caramel ice cream, yum! The service was really good and we even got some heart macaroons to go complimentary of their Valentines special. They have valet parking so don't have to worry about parking in the busy River Oaks district. Overall, this is a perfect place for a romantic date night.

Yelp
I absolutely loved dining at the chateau. Everything from the food to service was spot on. We started with the lobster bisque which was nicely split for us because we wanted to share. The bisque was rich and the lobster flan was delicate. For appetizers we shared the lump crab salad and mushroom ravioli. Both dishes were delicious; I'm still thinking of the ravioli today. As for entrees we had the poached main lobster and the short rib. Although the poached lobster was good, I may opt for the a la plancha next time. Dining at the chateau was a great experience. I would totally come back.

Yelp
It remains to be one of my top favorite places in Houston. An excellent French. Good food using an excellent ingredient. Excellent service. Excellent selection of wine. No complaint. It is a bit pricey but it is worth it.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Decor & Style: 5/5 The duck, mashed potatoes, hanger steak, and all appetizers were superb! We stayed in "Marche" btw which is downstairs, and the upstairs is name "Chateau". The management and staff were very friendly and made sure we got everything we need. The manager even let me order from the upstairs menu (from Chateau). The only thing weird about this place is that they separate the upstairs and downstairs menu and they try to be a separate restaurant, with upstairs being more fancy and downstairs fancy casual. Although together they make up "La Table" and it's the same restaurant. Honestly I don't think 2019 is ready for this concept, maybe 2020 will? Overall 5/5 all around and I will come back whether i'm upstairs or downstairs. Decor is gorgeous btw.

Yelp
My husband and I went during lunch hour so we did not have many choices to pick from, what we saw online was mainly for dinner. So be aware of their menu hours. We ordered their mozzarella flat bread. It has the right amount of tang, from tomatoes to texture. I enjoyed it. Lump crab cocktail-meaty chunks of crab with a side of sauce. Salmon tartare-it comes with a side of sliced baguette. I wasn't fond of the tartare. As for dessert I can't remember the name but it has pistachio filling with pie crust. I may have to come back to give their dinner menu a try. I like their fixtures and fittings. The whole set up was cute and I enjoyed our service here.

Yelp
This is such a beautiful French restaurant especially the second floor, Chateau. The restaurant has a very luxurious feel and lovely ambiance. I would say it's a perfect spot for say a date or a business lunch. We came here on the weekend for brunch, the place was not too busy and the food was very good. Just the right temperature and beautifully plated. Our server was also very attentive and I loved that he rolled in a cart full of desserts to choose from after we finished our food...we weren't planning on getting dessert in the middle of the day but we could just not say no, after we saw what was on the cart :)

Yelp
We were so disappointed that we will be unable to return. Our party was treated like scavengers and charged fees for dining in a private room. The manager had the customer service skills of a large five year old. The food was certainly not worth the drama. The only redeeming quality was Robert the waiter.

Yelp
What first caught my attention on reserving a table for lunch was the interior design and how the restaurant looked! It was just so elegant and calming. I love the vibe I got when seated! I came here for the Houston Restaurant Week. $20 for a 2 course meal isn't bad! I had ordered the watermelon and tomatoes salad and a salmon with peas. Those were both really delicious and appetizing. For dessert I had ordered the creme brûlée and that was amazing! It also came with a lemon cookie. Our server was checking us time to time and was very kind. I will definitely come back with my girls for lunch!
