"Black or white (truffle) is a frequent dilemma for diners at La Truffe Noire, a model of classical elegance since 1988. Truffles unsurprisingly take the limelight in the culinary score of its seasoned chef, who also happily adds a dash of Mediterranean flavours. Beef carpaccio prepared at your table is one of the house signature dishes. Our inspectors also fell in love with the mouthwatering sole, served with an aromatic black truffle sauce, baby artichoke and a crunchy parmesan crumble. Deftly crafted, purebred bourgeois recipes for a polished fine dining experience." - Michelin Inspector

I recently took my wife there for her birthday and Mother’s Day celebration. We did the Diamond and Privilege menu with the wine pairing. The food was fantastic and beautifully done. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this restaurant for everyone visiting Brussels or need a place to celebrate a special occasion.

I recently dined at La Truffe Noire and it was an experience that truly stood out. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable—attentive yet unobtrusive, with staff who were both knowledgeable and passionate about the menu.

Exceptionally good experience at La Truffe Noire. The food is just excellent and high quality. The staff is also very friendly. We forgot to say that one of us was vegetarian, and when the tasting was served, it was solved within five minutes. Also, very nice atmosphere and decoration. A valet parking service is available.

A wonderful experience where the staff kept their eyes on every detail and ensured us the feeling of being appreciated guests. We tried one of the set menus and were not disappointed. We would like to test more from this great kitchen! Yes, it is expensive, just investigate a bit on beforehand, otherwise it might come as a surprise to some. 😎 (Photos by Sondre Gulichsen)

This is a 1 Michelin star restaurant. We were in a restaurant with a Michelin star for the first time. Everything was top notch. The atmosphere in the restaurant is good. The food is delicious, the service is great. I ordered a 4-portion menu for 135 €, my wife ordered pasta with chanterelle mushrooms and lobster for 42 €. The lobster was perfectly cleaned. Bread was served free of charge. A glass of champagne cost 15 €. What was strange is the cost of a small bottle of plain drinking water for 9 €. The restaurant opens at 19:00, it is not in the very center of the city but it was easy to get there by bus. I booked seats a week in advance on the internet without any problems.

Our visit to LA truffe noir for my wife's birthday with friends was a delightful experience, marked by a wonderful atmosphere and excellent cuisine. **Atmosphere**: The ambiance at LA truffe noir was joyous and inviting, adding a special touch to our small group celebration. The setting, while perhaps not ideal for larger parties, was perfect for our intimate gathering of four, providing a cozy and festive environment. **Cuisine**: The food was a standout feature. Each dish was expertly prepared, showcasing high-quality ingredients and impressive culinary skill. The flavors were exceptional, and the presentation of the meals enhanced our dining experience. **Value for Money**: Considering the combination of the enjoyable atmosphere and the quality of the food, the pricing felt appropriate for our small group. It's a place where the cost aligns with the experience, especially for those looking to enjoy a special occasion in a more intimate setting. **Final Thoughts**: LA truffe noir is a commendable choice for small gatherings looking to celebrate a special event. The restaurant excels in creating a joyous atmosphere and serving excellent cuisine, making it a memorable destination for smaller celebrations.

Yelp
The wife and I went here for a Restaurant Week promotion. A set menu at a * Michelin restaurant for 50€? Sure, why not? Neither of us had eaten truffles before, and though we've eaten at nice places, we've never eaten at a Michelin star restaurant. The service was nice, though they do try to upsell you on the truffles right off the bat, but the set menu looked good from the onset and we were excited to try it. The host brought out both white and black truffles to smell, and they did smell lovely. It began with a sashimi salmon, pheasant foam with croutons, and a Jerusalem artichoke broth served in a test tube type vessel. The salmon didn't have much flavor, and while I liked the Jerusalem artichoke broth, the wife didn't care for it much. The foam was probably one of the best things of the night, though it had maybe too many croutons. This was followed up by a langoustine ravioli in a potato sauce, which came with black truffles shaved on top. I thought the truffles were good, and added a nice flavor, the wife didn't get much from them, though. The ravioli, although good, was just fine. It didn't really awe us like we were expecting. The main course was a pheasant, with pistachios and a sweet potato puree, that was accompanied by green peas and a lovely pear with cranberry. I bit on the upsell and had white truffles added for an additional 20€. I didn't think they had as much flavor, and while the pheasant was the best dish of the night, especially with the addition of the pear with cranberry and the sweet potato puree, it was, again, merely alright. Desert was pretty disappointing, a Mandarin "soup," with dark chocolate and orange sorbet. I liked the sorbet and the chocolate combination, as it reminded me of one of those chocolate oranges you get at Christmas, but it wasn't really presented well, as it was on a plate and hard to get the "soup" on your spoon. The mandarins also didn't really have any flavor to them. At the end though, they did bring out a little platter of treats, chocolates, and little candies, and it was actually better than the desert course. All in all, while the meal was good, it wasn't what I expected from a Michelin star restaurant. I don't think we'll go back, even if it happens to be on Restaurant Week promotion again.

Yelp
This place was AMAZING!!! Me and my gf went here to celebrate our 3 year anniversary and this place made it memorable, from the food, to the staff, to the presentation of every dish and wine, everything was exceptional. We never felt rushed to finish and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I only speak English and the staff was able to communicate perfectly with me. Absolutely recommend if you want to make a night special, the price is more then worth it. A generous amount of truffles on everything and they were simply divine!!! The food was presented with flair and precision. Also, 100% recommend the Cappuccino and Limoncello!!!!

Yelp
Simply amazing! There are truffles in everything. The host is gracious, witty, and supremely knowledgeable about the little treasures. Worth the trip! Dishes of note: Perigord Truffle, Beef Carpaccio w/ truffles (prepared tableside), Ravioli stuffed w/ black truffles.

Yelp
The service was outstanding! The food was really good, but not worth the expensive prices over the top good. Nice place to check out at least once, but not something that would become a routine. The complimentary appetizer and dessert was definitely a nice touch. Good portions of food. Great flavors.

Yelp
Some brilliant, but very classical and slightly aged, dishes combined with the worst wine pairing I've had in my entire life, makes this a mixed visit indeed. As the wine list granted us only either very uninteresting wines (Fontanafredda etc. which I can get in my local market for a smidge of the price in here and cannot say to be on the frontline of quality and tradition amongst Barolos), super overpriced wines or just plain....well, plain wines, we chose the wine pairing menu. It stated itself as the perfect compliment to our food and you'd expect that the somme of a one-star restaurant really had found the perfect combos for your particular dishes here (and not just wanted to get rid of random wine they had in the cellar) Do no do that if you ever visit here! Not only are they seriously serving you what I would describe as "bland supermarket wine from the medium priced shelf" - on a gourmet restaurant - they did not fit with, or complement, any of the dishes. None of them (well, one was actually okay, but totally wrong for the dish...in our perspective). So drink water instead if visiting (though you have to accept that the water is 9€ per half liter bottle, which makes it...well, very much paid for). The bread was dry and old and the butter didn't taste of anything - as is the norm in most Italian restaurants I've been to. I hope some day they'll start investing in decent bread, but apparently dry stale bread is tradition in Italy :-) Service was nice and attentive and the espresso was good...and the food was tasty, although nothing mind exploding (old school "if in doubt just stack it" or make it super creamy umami and truffle. Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to stacked food and I looooove truffle, but for the price I want more than just the ordinary tricks these things can pull). But the winepairing and "wine selection vs. price"...jesus...that was a huge disappointment. So two stars for those of the dishes that where good....And one gazillion black holes or "negative stars" for the sad sad wine and way too expensive prices on everything.
