Beloved for Puerto Rican classics—alcapurrias, bacalaitos, carne frita with tostones, and arroz con gandules. Frequently recommended by local reporters covering Long Wharf’s trucks for its homestyle flavors and island pride.

From the Bronx, we were on our way to Ikea in New Haven CT. We crossed path with La Unica. Took a chance and El Bori provided excellent customer service! The Alcapurrias de yuca/ Parcha drink were on fire! Delicious!!! Next time, will try other food on the menu. I have no doubt it will be as delicous and authentic comida Boricua. Keep up the great job! See ya next time!

I'm Good Thanks

The food is authentic and extremely delicious. Honestly I love it. I'll be going again soon. The lines tend to get pretty long but no one cares and I surely don't. The food is worth the wait.

We went on Saturday around 12pm. Very busy but very good. Alcapurrias were fresh, tasty and had lots of meat. It did take a bit of time as they were frying right there. The cuajito was also delicious.

I give this place five stars. The alcapurrias de yuca is really good. Good customer service and look very clean. Unlike like other white truck next to it bad customer service the girl had a bad attitude disrespectful cause I try to give them the benefit of the doubt to try their alcapurrias once she gave it to me it was burned you can smell it and it felt like bread which means it was nasty. Plus they don't give money back. Never again. Plus the truck look dirty ass hell. Dirty and ratchet are them people. Plus this truck is a lot cleaner the food taste better and the people are respectful. Like a true Puerto Rican. 🇵🇷

Food wasent worth the money. The alcapurrias taste bad the only good thing was the passion fruit juice which i will recomend but to expensive for the quality and quantity.

Yelp
good lord this place has got every puerto rican delicacy and they do it right. Sitting in the turn around on long wharf the line on a beautiful summer day was so long it was impeding traffic. Worth every penny, and every second I waited. Crispy fried Renello De Papas, Arroz con Gondules & Pollo Frito. Couldn't ask for a better meal. $7.25 with a coke.

Yelp
Their empanadas are good, not fantastic, but definitely good. Especially with the hot sauce that they have. Their passion fruit juice, however, is out of this friggen world incredible. It's obviously in Spanish on the sign, and I don't remember what it's called in Spanish, but you can figure it out. I'll update this to be slightly more helpful next time I'm there, but in the meantime, go try the passion fruit juice. Thank me later.
