Läderach | USA | Washington DC | Union Station

Somehow I've never experienced Läderach before, despite being a bit of a chocolate nut. While shopping a nearby competitor (Neuhaus) that my family has long enjoyed, I dropped in to Läderach on an impulse. Great decision! Briana (store manager I think) was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. She educated me on many of the products and also gave several relevant samples. She also listened about my family's preferences and made sound recommendations. Dion quickly obtained samples and was friendly as well. To say the least, the quality is absolutely amazing. Some standouts: Tartufi (any) and the dark chocolate bark with hazelnuts. Läderach seems to be more of an innovator, rather than keeping with classical pralines etc. Those are all available but their unique barks and Tartufi are standouts. The Tartufi are a very unique texture that's indescribable - slightly crumbly but with a hint of marzipan density (not the flavour). The products are not cheap but as I texted my son while testing it was "almost a religious experience". Heh. So glad I stopped in and also much thanks to the crew here.

This is hands down my favorite chocolate. I’ve indulged in it a little too often, so it’s lost a bit of its initial novelty and wow factor, but I still adore it. While it’s on the pricier side, the flavor is absolutely worth it. The service is consistently spectacular as well, which makes the experience even better. My personal favorite is the strawberry chocolate with dried strawberries—it’s such a delightful treat. Perfect for those moments when you want to spoil yourself. Highly recommend enjoying it from time to time!

Sherry was absolutely wonderful! Extremely assistive, very kind, we had a beautiful conversation, and she introduced me to so many new chocolates that I had never even contemplated, nor knew existed! She is extremely diligent, thoughtful, and has made me a repeat customer already!

My family and I had a wonderful time shopping for chocolates with the help of Brittany and Dion. Läderach not only has amazing chocolates, but also excellent customer service. I would 100% recommend this place.

My husband & I usually get their Mixed Fruit white chocolate from Stable DC (the best & only Swiss restaurant in DC btw). But on this particular day we were on a lunch date & he had the brilliant idea for Läderach for dessert! 😊 The store is quaint, smells ahhhhhhmazing, relaxing & it feels almost magical especially if you're a chocolate connoissuer! It was almost like walking through a fragrant rose garden...only the roses are delicious swiss chocolate!

My group was visiting DC for a training at a very stressful time politically last week. We happened upon this chocolatier as we were exploring. The chocolate is incredible. The associates working there were generous with samples and very kind and friendly. One in particular was so exuberant and engaging, and we were all smiling and laughing with his help, which was much needed considering our challenging week. One of our party forgot her samples in the shop, and he came after us to ensure that she kept her little bites. 😁 I will never forget our visit to Laderach and the talented salesperson.

An incredible experience! In two days I visited twice. Amazing chocolate, even better service. While I sadly didn't get the names of the kind people who were here the first time, the second time I caught the names of Sherry, Brittany and Martez. Thanks for everything! This will be my go to in Union station.

Wow, first let me say the customer service is absolutely excellent! Myles and Sherry were so nice and very much inviting. I absolutely love the chocolates!! Great locale, amazing customer service plus the tastiest chocolates.
