The 26 Best Restaurants In Lima - Lima - The Infatuation

"What sets Lady Bee apart from the other trendy bars in town is that Chef Gabriela León, together with her partner and head bartender, Alonso Palomino, has shaped a dining and drinking experience built on local spirits and seasonal ingredients. The space in Barranco was designed with a beehive in mind: undulating textures, warm light, and a demonstrated love for the land, especially the jungle of Tarapoto, where the chef’s roots run deep. Go for the oysters with Amazonian citrus, the smoked tartare, or the scallops with narrow bone and Amazonian chorizo. The ribeye with toasted butter and chamomile flowers is a must, paired with an Oca-Mashua cocktail made with a distillate of red oca." - paola miglio

10 Top International Bars

"A Miraflores gastro bar built around sustainability and deep collaboration with scientists and local producers—agroforestry engineers, marine biologists, and small growers are part of the sourcing story. Founders pair bartending and culinary expertise to highlight Peruvian ingredients (chocolate, coffee, produce), and signature cocktails apply that ethos—an example is the Three Sips Martini made with a Coastal Hills sugarcane distillate, sherry, and dry vermouth, presented with three regionally sourced garnishes (olive, savory algae, trout caviar)." - Kara Newman

Favorite dining experience in Lima! Mainly came for the cocktails since this is on the list of the worlds top 50, but I enjoyed the food even more. I went by recommendations of the bartender and they never missed. All the flavors were unique and well balanced. The bar setting is also has a nice vibe.

Simply the best cocktails we have ever had. Excellent food as well. We were lucky enough to sit at the bar and be served by Alonso, who taught us all about the ingredients and recipes. Literally my favourite place in Lima.

Amaaaaaaaazing. One of the most creative menus I've seen in a while! The staff is not only attentive but also intuitive. Wonderful service and equally wonderful drinks. The cheese platter was magnificent. We also loved the music (80s focused). I absolutely understand their position in the top 50 best cocktail bars.

Absolutely one of the most stunning cocktail bars I’ve ever been to, with exceptional attentive, accommodating, and kind service. The drinks were also complex and delicious, with great recommendations and explanations from Alonso. If I revisit Lima, this place is top of my list.

The best cocktail bar in Lima! A great tasting journey with lots of different flavours and mixtures of local produce. If you enjoy going beyond the typical pisco sour and classic cocktails then make sure to book your reservation in advance.

Wow, what a place. We came for the cocktails which were great but were blown away by the food. The cocktails all have a unique Peruvian spin and Alonso explains it in perfect English when they're served. They're excellent. The food was amazing. We had the Sea Urchin special, scallops, mussels, rib eye and caramelized bread for desert. The Urchin, Scallops and Mussels were better than anything I've had at a tasting menu place including the French Laundry and Pujol. They each had about 4 flavors that presented themselves in succession. Each bite was amazing. A perfect blend of savory, seafood, sweet, bitter -- very imaginative and amazing in execution, presentation and experience. I'm not schooled enough to explain it but can appreciate the skill. We got lucky with a same day reservation on a Wednesday. Apparently they're very booked up. The place is small and has an indoor/outdoor concept. We were seated at a table but told them we'd love to sit at the bar if possible. 10 minutes later they took us to the bar. You can tell the whole staff (waitstaff, hostess, bar staff, kitchen) are invested in the success of Lady Bee and they all work as a team. It's refreshing to see. Would love to come back!

Best bar in Lima! We often frequent cocktail bars but this one is so unique. I love the focus on celebrating local producers. The cocktails were delicious and well crafted, with a story behind each one. The menu is huge and has many options for every palette. We tried 4 different cocktails and they were all unique and well balanced!

Lady Bee came highly recommended by the good folks at Service Bar and Causa in Washington, DC—and it did not disappoint. A lot of care and time clearly went into these cocktail creations, each one showcasing flavors that reflect the tastes of Peru in thoughtful and surprising ways. One of my favorite drinks from my visit I was a pisco cocktail crafted in the style of an Old Fashioned, made with Amazonian honey and plantains—it was perfectly balanced and paired with plantain bites that were delicately cured. The dessert bites of a mini “cocoa popsicle” offered later were the perfect complement, rounding out the experience beautifully. Such a delightful way to experience the excellence of Peru. Well done.
