The Baseline: For a desert shop the flavor of offerings must out-weigh the taste of pure sugar, there must be unique/rare offerings that drive me to go there, and the value of the desert must be balanced with the fact I probably just finished a meal. Food: This is an upscale cake/desert shop with a good selection of different cake slices. The variety is well displayed and I had the Passion Fruit Cheesecake which was very tasty. Looking forward to trying new offerings in future visits. Service: I had great service at Lady M. The server prepared my order and was good about giving me suggestions. Ambiance: The seating in the shop is very upscale and is enjoyable when you are looking for something less casual.

Delish!!!! We tried the pistachio, taro, strawberry shortcake and passion fruit. Loveeee each one of them. The ambiance is so elegant and relaxing. The lighting is fantastic!!

One of the best cake boutiques in LA. Good service, tasty drinks, delicious and beautiful signature and seasonal cakes. However, this location is missing my all time favorite Lady M cake, the mango shortcake cake! It was a seasonal item I was able to order for pickup when it first came out a few years ago. I loved it more than any other cake, but every summer since, this store has not had this cake available. It’s available for pickup in the Bay Area and Vegas, but why not here in LA!? Bring this cake back and I will be sure to order many each summer and increase my rating to 5 stars!

This is fine dinning spot - you must grasp that because the price is higher than expected, but the atmosphere and taste back that price up. This is a great place to take family for a special occasion to have a piece of cake and enjoy a moment. The interior is excellent and decorated well - I think if it added a cheap Coffee and espresso would make it even better.

This shop has crepe cakes and coffee/tea options. The ambiance is casual yet elegant with a sit-to-order style and simple, beautiful monogrammed dishware, cutlery and napkins. The cost is a bit high but reasonable given the effort put into the presentation. We got a tea pot and 2 cake slices a to split amongst 4. The tea pot is meant for 2-3 and is pre-brewed, so if you ask for more hot water you'll just be getting hot water. While no steep time needs to be watched, no refills are available, which felt a little stingy for something so comparatively cheap. The cakes are tasty but standard. I've been to places where the crepes are so thin you can get a clean bite with a fork but from the first bite they were squishy. It was annoying since we were sharing with friends but it's not a big impact on the mouthfeel. The coffee and matcha are both pretty bold flavors and are quite decadent. I enjoyed the matcha but the coffee felt a bit too much.

Walked in and had the kiddos order what they wanted... and NEITHER ordered Lady M's famous Mille Crêpes so I ordered one too. Kiddos loved their Strawberry Cream Shortcake. Pistachio Mille Crêpes and Jasmine Calamansi Mille Crêpes were both delicious. Hubby liked the pistachio more, I liked the flavor punch from the other better. But I wouldn't mind eating either one again. Space is beautiful. Parking on this end of Sawtelle isn't as challenging. We found a metered street parking space just around the corner from Lady M's.

The most expensive slice of cake I've ever bought $11. So fancy paints to eat here. Very cute though. The cake is very non sweet and bland. Not sure what I expected it to taste like. My bf really likes crepe cake so he wanted to come here. I think it's okay. My bf really liked it but I personally don't think crepe cakes are worth the money. The crepe itself was cold and the chocolate was a bit overwhelming. It's pretty to look at but after 2 bites, I was tired of the flavor. The service was pretty fast. And the ambiance of this place is neat, clean, modern white marbled themed. All the utensils were high-end and it was pleasing to be in this cafe but again not worth the hype.

You sit and order and they bring it out to you. I highly recommend the pistachio milk crepe. It was flavorful and yummy. Not too sweet and the pistachio flavor was strong. Service was nice as well.

The price you pay is for the elegance that the place gives off. My friend and I ordered togo with three crepe slices for ~$11/slice. I've paid more for worse in LA, so I can't complain much. Workers were sweet and the ordering process went by fast. I had the Tiramisu flavor, and it tasted exactly what you'd expect -- cream with notes of coffee. Would I come back here? probably not, but if you're craving a crepe cake, I could see it being a solid choice.

This was my first time trying Lady M after a friend of mine recommended it. I was very excited for it and got the whole cake as my birthday cake, something different. It was a very expensive cake and the layers were all there. I was looking forward to it and was raving about it to friends and family but no one seemed to be too crazy about it. I do love chocolate, don't get me wrong. It's my favorite flavor to cake hence the chocolate crepe cake here. But I have to agree with my friends and family who said it was very sweet. It was. I think it's the layers adding a lot of cream in between of the 20+ layers. I would be curious what the other flavors would taste like. I wouldn't do another whole cake next time but I would get some slices. I think it's something cute to take to a friend's house for a different dessert and options. They do rotate on flavors. I wanted to try the pistachio but they didn't have it at that time so I got chocolate.

My husband got me a lavender and matcha cake and it was nothing like I've ever tasted before! The flavor is so rich yet delicate and the two flavors match so well. Each crepe layer is very thin, but thick enough to eat each separately if you want to. We bought it on Thursday but on Sunday it was still (very) good to eat. This is the cake to go for special occasions.

I've been buying cakes from Lady M for years and they never disappoint me. Yes, they are very pricy for cakes, but crepe cakes take a lot longer to make because of how many thin layers go into it. The cream between the layers is so rich and decadent and creates a nice texture contrast with the crepe sheet. The flavors are not too faint nor too strong, it's just the right amount to really appreciate the flavor with each slice. I only get a whole cake if it's my birthday and I want to treat myself. I highly recommend pre-ordering on their website because they can sell out of cakes pretty quickly. If you want to dine-in, they treat it like a sit-down service where you're handed a menu (which is only cake and tea), the waiter brings out the cakes and then you pay once you're done. I think this experience is a bit excessive for serving just cake; they do serve tea so I recommend dining in if you really want to have tea with their cakes. However, if you just want to have cake without the fancy dish ware then I think it's better to just take to-go and find a place outside to eat. I think a lot of other people feel the same way because I notice the people coming in and out of the store are mostly getting to-go.

Tried their earl grey and signature Mille cake - both were really good. Not too sweet. They have a lot of seasonal options we only tried the earl grey.

The service is terrible, I came withuom and aunt and after purchasing 3 slices to go, we deced to sit and have the cake before walking home. Even though they had 2 empty tables, as soon as we sat, the waitress told us we can't have the cake inside because we purchased it to go. And she made my mom and aunt who are senior getting up the table, and told us to go outside I will never come back simply because the costumer service was horrible, who kicks out customer from their store¡!!!????

Walked up to the Lady M Cake Boutique on Sawtelle Blvd today and had a piece of cake for my brother's birthday. My brother lives in New York City so he can go to one of the Lady M Cake Boutiques there and have a piece of the same cake. Had a piece of the salted caramel mille crepes cake. It is one of the seasonal cakes. It has the biggest picture (an entire page to itself) in the menu. It was very good. Looking forward to going to the Lady M Cake Boutique again and trying some of the other cakes.

I've been to Lady M a bunch for their famous Mille Crepes, and this time we went for the seasonal cakes, including the Marron Mille Crepes with warm roasted chestnuts and the pistachio one with velvety pistachio cream. Both were yummy and sweet. But here's the thing - the place was empty, like no one was there. Lady M is supposed to be good, but I was surprised it wasn't busier. It's a bit fancy and kinda pricey, and to make it worse, they charge you extra if you want a to-go bag. Even though the desserts are tasty, the quiet vibe and extra charges might not be everyone's favorite.

Street parking in an area that is packed with qaulity places. Be prepared to circle endlessly and park far to walk to this location. The place is super clean, the staff is friendly. But the concern is that the place is basically devoid of anyone but staff. There is a question of how long the cakes have been there given the low volume of people. Also the question of how long they can continue to stay open. The cakes are tasty, continues to be Lady M standard, but the cost of the cakes continue to be a marginal value. Overall worth a taste but difficult to recommend coming out here for this alone.

My girlfriend ordered a few advent calendars for friends here and she also picked up a few slices of cake. The place looks great inside, and the service was super friendly and welcoming. Their advent calendars were a big hit for Christmas! They look beautiful and the treats inside were enjoyed by all of our friends and family we gifted them to. In terms of their cakes, well they were quite good too. We ordered the strawberry and green tea cakes, and both tasted really well made and high quality. The green tea was also bitter, which we both liked. Overall this is a high quality cake boutique, and you won't be disappointed.

There's free parking in the Marshall's lot but you have to walk a bit. The service is really fast and there's always a few tables open for people to study or eat at. I got the seasonal tres leches cake and it was probably their best flavor yet. Not too sweet, but also light and airy. Def one of my fave dessert places

Pumpkin pumpkin!!! Seasonal flavor alert and lemme tell you, if you like chestnut you will love the pumpkin slice. Mmm usually they make a pumpkin pie but this year they mixed pumpkin and mille crepe for this incredibly successful result! Get your slice fast, this flavor is SEASONAL only. Wowza it was so good I inhaled the slice. And "I'll Be Back"... for more.

I ordered the chestnut millicrepe cake and the iced whipped matcha. Overall it was pretty tasty, definitely on the expensive side though, I ended up paying about $20 for both items. The chestnut cake was a seasonal item and tasty, not too sweet so it was great. The whipped matcha was on the sweeter side and I honestly should have ordered just tea so that I didn't have so much sweetness and sugar. The cafe is very serene and quiet. You are either able to order to go or they can sit you done. If you sit down they will provide a menu and serve you at the table. When you sit down as well you have more beverage items to choose from compared to if you order to go. Parking is a little hard. There is a parking garage right across the street that charges $23 if you go over 12 minutes, otherwise it's $3. Overall I'll probably come back and order another seasonal crepe to try and some hot tea to pair with the cake well.

The inside of Lady M is beautiful with their clean and white decor! This is a classy cafe or dessert spot to catch up with friends or have solo time at. I got their infamous Lady M Mille Crepe cakes and went for the flavor of Lavender Matcha. One slice came out to be $11.50 which is not bad for the quality of the cake. The flavor was perfection with the lavender flavor for those who like floral or eating flowers lol and the matcha was rich but light. I'm still astonished at how well they do their crepe cakes. Eating every layer had the perfect amount of cream on each and it was not too sweet at all. I would come back to try their different flavors! Very high quality cakes!

Unique and tasty! Got the original, sweet potato, and passion fruit. They were all great with a good balance of flavor and sweet.

We came here try some of the famous Mille Crepes that Lady M is known for, and we had the Tiramisu flavor as well as ordered a Caffe Latte. Honestly, while the Tiramisu and Caffe Latte where decent and had good I flavor, not entirely sure if they are worth the high price point they charge. The tiramisu mille crepe costs $11.50, that's quite steep and the caffe latte costs $5.50, which was a bit more reasonable. The customer service here was alright, a bit of a weird ordering experience as they ask at the counter before ordering if your ordering for togo or dine in, and if you wanted dine in, then they tell you to find a seat and they'll bring a menu over to your table...a tad bit weird in my opinion. Overall though, it was decent experience, not sure if this is a place I would consider coming regularly, maybe only for special occasions.

Nice and clean! The staff was really patient and nice to us, and we had more than what we thought we would have. I enjoyed the tea, and the cake as always, did not disappoint. This isn't the cheapest option out there, but once in a while worth going too. Not super crowded at the time we went, but it is a really nice place to sit down have some tea and cake. Interior design is elegant, feels classy but not too formal. I would highly recommend this place, but this is not the cheapest option out there.

This was so disappointing. Maybe it was the day I went or it was the location I went to. I ordered their crepe layered cake and it was so expensive. The crepe itself did not taste fresh. I expected it to taste more like cake or a crepe but it just tasted like a bunch of cream. The cream itself did not taste great either. I have had better cream. They did have plenty of other dessert options. Maybe I'll have to try some of their other desserts. Note: -They have some street parking spaces available -They have plenty of indoor seats available. I loved the interior of the bakery.

I was very impressed with the Sawtelle location of Lady M Cake Boutique, as my husband and I had visited last week to pick up our yummy Pumpkin Nuage cake. The service was excellent as we were kindly and professionally greeted as as we walked inside. Just the whole atmosphere was very clean and welcoming. We look forward to visiting Lady M Cake Boutique on Sawtelle, for the continuing Holiday season, and in the future for more special occasions.

When a friend who consistently steers to me to expensive places, I somewhat knew it would be a bust. Thin crepes with dollops of cream? I prefer thicker crepes with dollops of cream. It does not taste like a cake, and it is too heavy in cream for my liking. The crepe texture is too rough. It does melt and effuse flavor. The guava crepe does not have enough guava flavor. Overall, it was an overated expensive bust.

Lady M. Never disappoints! The customer service here is amazing everyone here so friendly, and the crabcakes here are to die for! Today I went for the pistachio one, and it was amazing! Everything here inside the café super clean and new, an updated!

I'm a little bias bc I love the name of this restaurant! It's super clean and cute! People kept coming in and out to order the cakes so I know I have to come back to try them. Me and my friend just had green tea and it was refreshing and so well made. My only complaint was the size of the teapot. It was so small.

5 star for all their crepe cakes especially the chocolate Matcha. and Guava. Why a 4 star, the locations are so far, maybe not far but to get to LA in crazy traffic ruins our day. Consider opening in Burbank. It would be great if you would consider durian or banana crepe cakes.

I've been to many Lady M locations and some internationally as well, which were mostly amazing. This store in my opinion met the standards of lady M and I am very pleased with the crepe cakes! You have to be a fan of crepe cakes to pay $10 for a crepe cake though, enjoying and savoring each layer as it dissolves in your mouth. This is not a shove it down your throat to eat as much as it kind of food. The store was clean bright and posh. The tall gentleman that helped me was also absolutely professional. Packaging was beautiful. I loved this fancy dessert place! Will be back.

We walked by after having dinner in the area, and couldn't resist stepping inside. First off, the interior is SO aesthetic and minimalistic but quite fancy for a dessert shop/place. I had heard mixed reviews about this place so i was a little hesitant and lowered my expectations thinking it would be ordinary and overpriced. While it definitely was pricey, a) I split a crepe cake slice with a friend so it was not so bad and b) it definitely wasn't ordinary. We got the amedei chocolate crepe cake and my goodness it was amazing. The chocolate was so decadent, rich and dark and the cream was the perfectly consistency to hold the crepes together and each bite was just a beautiful burst of creamy chocolate goodness. And it definitely was not ordinary chocolate, it had a very deep cacao flavor to it. I also got their matcha espresso which paired perfectly.

Came here because Lady M was recommended by a family member. We were able to find some street parking. The location is a little hidden - on the main floor of some condos with some restaurants. Inside, the decor definitely was chic and fancy and so were the prices. If you choose to dine in they offer table service. We ordered Green Tea Mill Crepes, Lemon Yuzu Tart, and Passion Fruit Mill Crepes. And washed it down with Whipped Matcha and Green Tea Latte. Everything was light and not too sweet. We thought the thin multi-layer crepes provided a nice balance with the cream and flavour of the toppings. I'm not much of a cake person and I enjoyed myself here. Service was great. Not too many tables for dine in although there were some outside too. Restrooms were clean but only one shared one. We will definitely be back and try some other cakes. It is expensive so it wouldn't be a regular thing.

So right for a decadent brunch! Rushed here after reading Tiffany Tse's article in the LA Times about where to find moon cakes. Lady M's collab with legendary Kee Wah Bakery comes boxed so beautifully! Of course I got the larger velvet box with 3 flavors- Earl Grey, black sesame and passion fruit; two of each flavor. So Delicious! Press a button and the box lights up the bunny 3D diorama landscape! Bought two slices of cake too - passion fruit and tiramisu. I took my order to go but the cafe is bright and clean with comfy seating. Such a find! Going back soon!

This review is for the Lady M bon bons. I'm not a fan of their Mille crepe cakes. They're more cream than cake and far too rich for my taste. First of all, parking can be very difficult to find on Sawtelle. I've gotten lucky a couple of times finding curbside parking with meter parking. Otherwise you'll have to pay for a parking garage off of Sawtelle. Try not to go on weekends or at dinner time. The bon bons are a perfect gift to give to a colleague or friend. They look fancy and are not that expensive. They only cost $9 each and if you buy a set of 3, 5, or 8 they package them in a very cute box for free. Our personal favorites are the mango or passion fruit jellies but they're all good. Staff is very nice too.

I don't know why it took me so long to finally try Lady M. They offer great quality cakes that can turn any frown upside down. I used to be obsessed with crepes and eventually grew out of that phase. The mille crepes reminded me how wonderful crepes can be. The thin and alternating layers of crepes and pastry cream form a soft and delicious cake creation. The Signature is so satisfying with subtle caramel like notes that isn't too sweet. I tried the Tres Leches once, which was good too. Even though they have other tempting flavors that may be worth a trying someday, the Signature remains my go to mille crepes flavor. The Strawberry Shortcake is also delicious. It includes moist sponge cake between light and fluffy whipped cream. My only critique is that I wish there were more fresh strawberries, but I also say that about every strawberry cake. The staff was always very nice and friendly when we picked up our sweet treats. The cakes and service are 5 stars that I am happy to add this spot to my cake craving rotation.

They give you a luxury dessert dining experience which is very sweet!! I tried the tres leches and the checkers I love that they were both super light and not to heavy nor too sweet. However I wouldn't call the tres leches, tres leches it really doesn't replicate the experience/flavor of a tres leches cake. Definitely a cute place to chat w a friend w some coffee or a cute date. Overall very nice, clean, elegant & delicious. Would definitely come again

The chocolate Matcha cake is delicious. Yes it's a little pricey at about $10 per slice, but I'm sure it's pretty labor-intensive to stack 20 crêpes on top of each other. I've had chocolate Matcha, Matcha, lemon dill, and mont blanc . They are all delicious. Nothing is overly sweet. I think these are the best desserts in the Sawtelle area.

Delicious every fork full and finger lick. Had the checkers and strawberry shortcake. Wish the cake was longer and wider so my tastebuds could enjoy it longer. But then my waistline wouldn't appreciate it so just the right slice. Not too sweet and not too heavy. Yummmm. Service was welcoming tooooooo. Look out for Gabby.

I love this place. The only problem is I fall in love with a flavor then boom it's gone. Please give the pop corn flavor permanent residency. It's hands down the best flavor.

Really bad and strangely-unprofessional service by a lady named, Killeen/Kaitlyn (I don't think she gave me her real name) on August 7, 2024. Not only the tea pot she served was subpar, but also she claimed that customers are not allowed to sit outside! She needs some serious follow-up and training by management/ownership. I'll file a complaint with the LADPH to investigate why/how they prepare your drink in a hidden spot -- customers should be allowed to see how their drinks are prepared and what's been put in them!

Pricy but delicious. I inhaled mine in 2 minutes. No time for pictures. Checkered cake is moist and chocolate outer is rich. *chefs kiss*
