The Best Restaurants In Bentonville - Bentonville - The Infatuation

"If you want a chandelier-lit after-dinner spot to eavesdrop on people complaining about supply chains over gin-lavender cocktails, get a reservation at Lady Slipper. We wouldn’t come here for a full meal, but it’s perfect for drinking and sharing Andalusian-style tapas classics like patatas bravas, plus buttery shrimp with chili sauce and a great octopus and cucumber salad. All of which basically function as your ticket to see Lady Slipper’s famous contemporary art." - ryan bernsten

An Eater’s Guide to Bentonville, Arkansas, the Home of Walmart | Eater

"A speakeasy-style cocktail room located in an atmospheric basement setting where craft drinks spotlight unusual house syrups and fresh-pressed juices (think dragon-fruit mint and cold-pressed watermelon), and the space doubles as a small art showcase with pieces curated from notable regional collections." - Emily Blackshear

Google
We got the hand rolled pasta and the chicken Milanese. I thought it was tasty, but the gnocchi was overcooked and too big / soft. The chicken was good, I coulda used a bit more gnocchi / sauce to go with it. These were cooked better. Great vibe in there and cool decor. I wasn’t very impressed w the bartenders (we sat at bar), they just weren’t very professional.. We’d go back next time in town.

Visited LS for food and drinks during our visit to Bentonville. As an added bonus, one of the three Kehinde Wiley pieces in Bentonville are at the Lady Slipper speakeasy with the other two being at Crystal Bridge Museum and 21c Museum Hotel.

We went to Lady Slipper for a team dinner and drinks. Small place inside by the bar but it was cozy and they were able to accommodate. Good cocktails and food. Really huge outdoor area but it was too hot to sit outside. Friendly staff and good service. Prices were a bit higher than I thought but overall a great experience.

Google
The downstairs bar was open so we went for a quick cocktail. Definitely busy around 10pm but we got the spicy margarita and it sure was spicy! Nice bouncer and great staff.

Google
We always have the best time at Lady Slipper. Sure, it’s a little on the pricier side, but the ambience, food, and service make it totally worth it. Huge kudos to whoever hired the newest server, Emily — she’s an absolute gem. So kind, upbeat, and genuinely a joy to be around. Safe to say, we’re hooked more than ever.

With the amount of times I've haunted this wonderful establishment, I have often wondered what could the team at Lady Slipper possibly do to make my night more enjoyable? It seemed that question would go unanswered, especially when taking account of just how much everyone who works here goes beyond their roles to deliver an incredible dining, drinking, and/or social experience. And yet, Lady Slipper floored me; it wasn't their amazing service, their tried-and-true food options, no. It was instead made manifest as our waitress, the funny, attentive, and all-knowing Emilie. She took incredible care of my 6-top and was able to add to our jokes, our conversations, our requests, and our general assemblage in such a complimentary way. Service industry workers could learn a thing or two from Emilie; her attitude and personality were made for the limelight of Lady Slipper. KUDOS QUEEN

Google
My friends and I had a wonderful dining experience at Lady Slipper! The small plates we ordered were amazing as well as filet skewers. Arturo, the personable chef, made a special visit to our table. We loved the ambiance in the lower level - a speakeasy vibe. Last but not least was Emily, our server, What a doll!

Google
We’ve been coming here on and off for about 3 years and this is the best spot in Bentonville! It’s a unique atmosphere with a calm start and then they transform into the best bar scene in town. We always have the espresso martinis! The service is always friendly and attentive. This is the only bar after 9 pm that you will be approached to be asked what they can do for you, and they are quick. We love the Slipper!

Yelp
My old fashioned was great. My coworker's martini - not so much. We were in the speakeasy part which was fun. I was shocked that they took away my first drink when it was empty and didn't ask if I wanted another. What kind of place does that? We were able to flag down a server so I could get a second drink. A fun place to have a drink or two...

Yelp
Really impressed with this spot! Drinks were amazing and reasonably priced. Ambience and decor were excellent. Didn't try any food. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
What a beautifully designed place to come grab a cocktail and bite to eat! My friend recommended we try this place out to celebrate her birthday. We came on a Friday night around 7pm without a reservation. They fill up quickly but had a table for us without a wait which we were stoked about! We were surprised at how big this place is--they have a large patio, a main floor with a bar, and then one or two more lower levels. People seem to love the ambiance and overall vibe of this place. There are exposed brick walls, dim lights, retro wallpaper on some of the walls, velvet couches, chandeliers, candles...all the aspects of an Instagram-worthy bar! The cocktails were smooth and delicious with several unique ingredients. I went with the Lemon Baum which was made with lemongrass vodka, elderflower, lemon, and soda. I can't pass up a drink made with elderflower! It was so good and was served in a tall wine glass almost filled to the brim. My friend got the Fly Monkeys Fly which is made with graham cracker bourbon, banana, and hazelnut. She was nervous about the banana but told our waiter that her go-to drink is an Old Fashioned and he thought she'd like this one. The banana was subtle and it was such a smooth drink that she loved! We split a few of the plates for food and they are basically tapas. We split 3 of them between us and felt like we had enough food! We got the fried chicken, crispy potatoes, and tuna crudo. All of them were really good! The potatoes had garlic aioli drizzled over the top. The fried chicken was perfectly fried and had some drops of honey for added sweetness. The fan favorite was the tuna crudo which was topped with pine nuts, oven dried tomatoes, capers, and dried cherry. This is a combination of flavors that I would not typically branch out to try, but it ended up being one of the most unique dishes I've had in a long time. It was quite rich so I'm glad we didn't have a huge serving of it, just enough to savor each bite! This place is a nice addition to Bentonville's downtown scene and it's no surprise that they consistently get booked up with reservations. I would definitely come back again for cocktails and apps in the future!

Yelp
My fiance and I had a very enjoyable experience at Lady Slipper in DT Bentonville. We were looking for a nice date night spot and this met the bill. Service - Really good and friendly server. She had great recommendations on the menu for food and drinks and was very sociable and approachable. The bartenders nearby also helped bring food and clear plates. My one small complaint was that given this is a tapas style restaurants, they need to be more prepared to swap out dirty plates for clean ones. On more than one occasion, we had to either re use a plate or ask for a new one. Food - All of the food had great flavor and the portions were appropriate for price. That is usually my chief concern at a tapas style restaurant. The cheeseburger and shrimp were our main courses and favorite dishes. The focaccia is a must. The cherry peppers with feta were a miss though. The feta was very creamy and the ratio of cheese to pepper wasn't right. Need more pepper so it doesn't feel like you're chewing on cheese. My old fashion was on point and the mocktail was well made too. Ambiance - I love that there is a patio, downstairs lounge, and dining area near the bar. We sat near the bar and it wasn't too loud and felt eloquent. I'll be back to try new dishes. Food - 8 Ambiance - 9 Service - 9

Yelp
I came here on Saturday and the vibe was so cute! I was a little confused at the layout. I think there's a basement level to the spot but I couldn't figure it out hah Their menu was small but had alot of options. The only bummer is that 2 of their signature cocktails weren't available. They were both what my husband wanted to order. They staff is so kind and helpful. And patio is really pretty as well! Would come back for sure

Yelp
My cousins always take me to the best spots in Northwest Arkansas and this time we went to Lady Slipper. Just the name alone had me intrigued and I was not disappointed. Lady Slipper is an approachable cocktail bar in a historic building with rare art and unexpected decor. Do not skip on the FOCACCIA. It was melt in your mouth amazing. I would love to come back here hungry. But for now we enjoyed their cocktails and one was better than the next. I went for their Gin based cocktail, the We Represent, which came with a super fun honey lollipop. Would absolutely love to hang here more.
google avatar

Joseph P.

Yelp
This spot is beautiful, every detail of the building was well thought of! My wife and I enjoyed our drinks and the Tapas were very good. Being Tapas, the servings are smaller so you're about to pick and choose multiple dishes without getting too full off just one or two. This place is pricey so just keep that in mind but it's worth dropping in for a cocktail and bite when in Bentonville.

Yelp
If you are meeting up with friends for a cocktail, this is the place to go. They have some outside seating and plenty of bar seating inside. The interior is artistically decorated with some pretty and pretty weird art. The bar is fully stocked, and they also have a craft drink menu. If you like blackberry, try the French Martini. If you like Espresso Martini, Anne Marie makes it perfect. She even powders a coffee bean on the top. They have a few lite nibble bites on their menu, but I was only meeting friends for a drink before going elsewhere for dinner, but I would definitely come back in the future and try the food. Their management is great because their bar servers are friendly and professional. They are well educated on their liquors and craft cocktail creations.

Yelp
Sophisticated atmosphere. Nice drinks. Tasty appetizers. We came for cocktails after work and enjoyed everything. Serving actual food would be nice.

Yelp
OMG I have no words. You must go here if you're in Bentonville. I wish I could transport Lady Slipper to NYC!! The drinks are soo good and the food- even better. I think we got everything on the menu and all was delicious; some standouts were the octopus and the focaccia- do not skip over the bread. I still dream about our meal here. Will be back!

Cristina S.

Yelp
Love the ambiance, and the drinks are made very well. Still need to eat here for dinner, but a friend and I have shared a dessert here before. The dessert was very good! They also have really nice mock tails for anyone who doesn't feel like drinking. Would recommend.
google avatar

Arina L.

Yelp
I've been here twice and I love the food and drinks! Great service and a very cool vibe. I'm also in love with the aesthetics of this place. I cannot wait to come back and try more signature cocktails!
google avatar

Geoff B.

Yelp
Great drinks. Beautiful bar. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend to any cocktail lover.

Yelp
What a neat new bar in downtown Bentonville! The Lady Slipper is located under the Massey building, entrance in the back lot. This place has a modern upscale feel. The specialty cocktail menu and bar staff clearly focus on a full experience in their craft of both taste and aroma along with visual presentation. We sat at the bar to witness different creations. There are sharable eats available. See photos for an idea of what they have to offer. Yes, that's right-caviar! I really enjoyed the Paris On Ponce. Delicious stiff but smooth cocktail.
google avatar

Landon K.

Yelp
Great sophisticated spot right off the square. Good shareable options. The Burger and the Steak Tartare are both worth ordering. I'll be back. Upper level and lower lounge. Casual and classy.. outdoor patio that I will be back to.
google avatar

Julia S.

Yelp
Perfection from service to cocktails, appetizers and atmosphere. The inside is small, but it gives a cozy intimate feeling which I love. The huge painting ion the wall is by Kehinde Wiley, just beautiful in person. We ordered the taco appetizer and Lavender Haze cocktails, so delicious.

Michael H.

Yelp
Great cocktails and inventive/curious bartenders. Food is amazing (sometimes adventurous, but who wants to be boring?) and there are options for everyone. Ambiance is warm and inviting and they have an amazing collection of art. The Kehinde Wiley is stunning.
google avatar

Xairn A.

Yelp
I'm not sure what has happened but the Lady Slipper has slipped. The last two times we have visited the vibe is completely off. The food selection is also strange, it's like Ursula from Little Mermaid did a menu drop.

Eleonora L.

Yelp
Ambiance was great. The food and drinks are good. The only part about this place that sucks is they had great food and they remove the food things like the burger off the menu.
google avatar

Kim L.

Yelp
Great ambiance, food, cocktails and connection. I wish there was more space, but loving the reservation option. This is must see and do
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
Beautiful but with growing pains. If you're from a city with a healthy cocktail and culinary scene you will recognize this as the growing pains of a growing scene. Good but not quite there yet. Great staff who I have high hopes for learning what is needed to make this place great! At this price point I expect more, but they are getting there.
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
The food and drinks were really great! We arrived a little after 10:00pm but the hostess gave us the wrong menu that included oysters. Our server brought the correct, smaller, after-10:00pm menu but oysters were not on it. I causally mentioned it to my husband because we had planned on ordering that particular item. Our server overheard me and immediately checked with the chef who was happy to serve oysters to us! They were delicious as was everything else. We sat outside where the atmosphere was really fun and laid back! We highly recommend Lady Slipper for a fun evening out.

Dan D.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, and a good time had by all I laughed. I cried. It was the best bar of the Great Service no bugs and excellent food Will be coming back.

Tom M.

Yelp
Great fun. Great cocktails, small plates and atmosphere. Get the meatballs! Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
google avatar

Leisha M.

Yelp
My daughter and I had some time to kill before attending a wedding. Found this lovely spot. The place is beautiful, the drinks so good, and service impeccable.

Annie C.

Yelp
We loved this place. Amazing drinks food atmosphere and service. Definitely check it out
google avatar

Maciej J.

Yelp
Rude hostess. Can't say anything about the drinks or service. Hostess didn't let my group in because we didn't meet her standards to visit her very bougie establishment. Small town place with small town mentality. Never will I give a dollar to this place and I'll let everyone I know to stay away as well. So rude.

Geri P.

Yelp
Best Happy Hour for me and my group. Service was great. Had the whole downstairs level for our group. Will go back.
google avatar

Casey T.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by during the Lighting of the Square and were welcomed in without a wait (which is a rarity for Downtown Bentonville)! The host opened the door for us as we walked towards the entrance, so we felt spoiled from the first interaction! After being seated, we ordered a few different cocktails- which were all balanced and presented well!. +Our server was attentive and anticipated our asks! As for the food: Great! Shoutout to the octopus. *chefs kiss* The overall impression was sophisticated and upbeat. We'll definitely visit again!

Ashlyn K.

Yelp
Lovely vibes, delicious cocktails and friendly service. Will definitely be back! The food was generously portioned and selecting a few to share tapas-style was perfect for our group!

Ashley H.

Yelp
The espresso martini (no cream) aka overnight sensation was wonderful. The ambiance is romantic and expensive. We loved it so much.

Jim L.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Very very friendly. Jeremy greeted us at the door and shortly after checked on us. I suggest the hidden gem "basement" bar. Cozy and fun. Best customer service since I left Los Angeles!
google avatar

Bryanna S.

Yelp
very nice cocktail lounge. we sat in the basement, which had its own bar. drinks were fairly priced but it took us awhile for any service after we were sat.

John S.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and tasty drinks. I had the Old Massey and it was good (similar to a dark & stormy). Only small issue was service was pretty slow, but not horrible. Everyone was very friendly.

Alex P.

Yelp
Manager (Jeremy) and his staff were phenomenal. Despite overwhelming crowds, they were able to serve exceptional fare in a very timely manner. Would recommend to anyone coming through town

Ashley A.

Yelp
I've never been here and I was really excited but I left immediately after entering because there was an overwhelming dirty nasty fish smell

Derek C.

Yelp
the food is some of the best ive tried anywhere in bentonville. hands down. but the real high light for me was their bar, the craft cocktails I tried were absolutely phenomenal. I'm typically the type that sticks to what I know I like so i'm not disappointed but I listened to Dakota's recommendations on what drinks to order and he did anything but disappoint. The bar staff I saw were operating on a packed Friday night like a well oiled machine, and smiling and laughing while doing it! You dont see that everywhere you go. If management knows a thing or two they'd be smart to keep their bartenders exactly where they are. Christian had me try a Mezcal last word and it's become the only thing I order when I go out to eat now. After being taken to our table we were shocked to be treated with the same light hearted happy smiling energy from our server too. How does this place get their staff to work a Friday night shift for hours while smiling and laughing the whole time?! I cant say I see that anywhere I go. The food was incredible but what stole the show for me and left a lasting impression is the team they've assembled. Managment knew what they were doing when hiring. Bravo and thank you for an amazing night in Downtown Bentonville Team Lady Slipper.
