Laghetto

"If you’re not already in the area, on exiting the motorway drive up the Val d’Ayas to reach the delightful village of Brusson at an altitude of 1 300m. Here, in the typical mountain-style dining rooms of the Laghetto hotel-restaurant, enjoy delicious local specialities such as cured meats, cheeses, polenta, trout, and plenty of meat options." - Michelin Inspector

This family run hotel provides exceptional quality, service and value. Our visit this year is our fourth, 2 before Covid, last year and this. Situated in Brusson - about 8 miles below Champoluc makes it a perfect location for Skiing in Champoluc at a more competitive price. The car ride to the free parking at the base of the Champoluc lift system takes no more than 15 minutes and if you ski hire from Rent & Play, you can store your skis right at the base of the home run. ||The hotel rooms are small but very well appointed, comfortable and well maintained and serviced. The en suite shower rooms have quality fittings and there has always been a steady supply of hot water at a good pressure with soft towels and bath robes provided. ||The public areas are similarly presented in a typical Alpine style, informal bar and the restaurant is efficiently run by competent and knowledgeable staff who understand the detail of the food and wine that they are serving. Dinner can either be a set menu or a la carte and the very high quality food is very typical of the Aosta Valley region. Wine both local and from other Italian regions, is very good quality and competitively priced. ||Having skied throughout the world and experienced hospitality in many European resorts, The Hotel Laghetto is a stand out location for the quality of its service, friendliness of the staff, location and proximity to some of the best skiing in Europe. ||This is a 3 star hotel that offers a 5 star experience.

If I could give this property 10 stars I would! My husband and I spent 3 nights here in September for my birthday and we had an amazing time. The staff and hotel owners are extremely kind and welcoming and were easy to communicate with in english (we know some basic Italian but are from the US so it is limited). The hotel itself is so comfortable and charming. Our room was spotless, we could stream at night on wifi, and shower pressure was great! The outside spa area is in such a beautiful setting and was absolutely delightful to relax in after a day of hiking. We had both our breakfast and dinner at the hotel and we had snacks and drinks at the bar. All of our food was very good and service is great. The area itself is stunning with so much to do and the hotel manager and staff gave us lots of suggestions on how to spend our time. It was truly a magical birthday escape for me and we hope to visit again.

Did not stay at Hotel, rather leaving review for the excellent restaurant of the same name. We ate as a party of four including two young ones, and were all equally enamored by the quality, taste and presentation of the plates. We ate the Battuta di Fassona (steak tartar) as aperitivo, and split two primo piatties - a heavenly pear and cheese rissoto and a dear ragù pasta. The bambini’s ate plain pasta (Tagliatelle) and Lamb chops. The servings were all well proportioned, and we had space to split a few excellent desserts - the chocolate cake really stood out. We drank a Fumin lo Triolet, the Fumin being a typical variety of the Vallee d’Aoste. Coming from the Midwest, the ambience was similar to a supper club. Simple staples on the menu, attentive service and an unpretentious interior allowed for a very pleasant evening. Don’t miss the vibe setting chicken Christmas tree!

after booking a dinner for three people at 8:15 pm, we were greeted by the most unpolite way by the hostess/owner manager. Not only did she make us wait for our table when we had come there at the correct time, but she also had seated us in a very bad place next to the kitchen instead of apologising and maybe making it up to us by saying that it was the only table available, instead she kept on telling us that we could just leave if we did not like it. Of course we stood up because we did not make any other comment aside the fact that we did not like that table and at the same time we were sitting there and waiting to be served. Naturally, we got up and would not |Recommend this restaurant to no one. You do not tell a client that everything is fully booked to a client who has already made the reservation as well each try to be polite because Klient is always right.

The hotel, its location - proximity to Champoluc, service, food and amenities were all excellent. We have visited before in 2020 just before Covid but I think our return visit was even better than our last. Full marks to everyone at the hotel - brilliant value for money and a superbly run hotel and restaurant.

We stayed in the Hotel Laghetto for two nights in January and had such a wonderful time. First of all the staff were warm and accommodating. Even if we came much earlier that the check-in time they let us go into our room. We had a balcony overlooking the snow capped mountains! The hotel was recently renovated as we were told by the staff. We had room 302...fantastic! Log cabin style decor and the room was very clean. Excellent cuisine typical of the region and homemade pastries for breakfast. I liked the breakfast buffet very much because the hotel chef took the time to bake all the cookies and cake from scratch. Even fresh yogurt from a local farmer..not the ones you normally find from the grocery .We enjoyed the gnocchi with purple potatoes and the ravioli was so delicious, all made fresh. The desserts of torta con pera e cioccolato ( a slice of cake with pears and chocolate) and tiramisu with orange zest were the desserts we enjoyed. Good selection of wine especially the local ones and beer. And we also appreciated their collection of artworks around the hotel. They hold art exhibitions in the basement area where you can also sit and relax by the sofa. Overall we give this hotel an excellent rating!

Hotel Laghetto is situated just outside the lake which is accompanied by its mesmerizing surrounding mountains. ||||We arrived a little too early but that wasn't a problem we got our rooms immediately.||||Receptionist kind and welcoming. ||||Room was fairly sized and clean, however furniture rather outdated. Mattresses were fine and not too soft.||||Wi-Fi not too strong.||||Restaurant a little pricey, but food is good. Not too much too choose from at the breakfast buffet and no international breakfast either.|| ||Free parking just outside the hotel

We were a bit disappointed by the mediocre services in this hotel. The location is good and the rooms are nice, but there is no equipment (water kettle for instance is usually a standard in other hotels). The most dissatisfied we were with the restaurant. The food is tasteless and totally boring. They have a good bar for drinks and coffee thought.
