Laghman Express

Everyone knows Laghman Express has amazing food — it’s always busy and there’s usually a line, which says a lot! The dishes are consistently delicious. But today I especially want to recognize two waitresses at their first location — Molly and Zhanerke. Even with a full restaurant and nonstop orders, they were incredibly polite, warm, and welcoming. Their tone of voice, kindness, and professionalism truly stood out. Working in such a fast-paced environment isn’t easy, but they handled everything with grace and positive energy. Also, credit to the kitchen team — they work nonstop and still deliver high-quality, flavorful food every time. Great food and wonderful people. Highly recommend!

TLDR: great service with tasty food, just wish they used real silverware and utensils We got a medley of items for the 7 of us, my favorite was the sweet and sour fish, the dumplings and the cold noodles. Service was excellent, she was fun and really took care of us. Would highly recommend you come here!

Wonderful food. The lamb manty had a very rich tasty filling that paired well with the fresh herbs and sour cream. The crispy fried eggplant was an unexpected delight. We opted for two of the most popular hand pulled noodle dishes, and both were excellent. I would recommend the lamb over the beef - but I am partial to lamb. The server was very friendly and helpful. Portions are huge, we had tons of leftovers to bring home!

I've never really had this kind of cuisine before, but everything was absolutely amazing! The waitress was so nice, I asked her for recommendations and she didn't fail me ☺️ the flavor was sooo good, I loved the lamb, the mini dumplings, and the noodles. I can't wait to come back and try out the other dishes!

I wish I took more pictures but sometimes when the food is so amazing you forget about all that and get straight to inhaling the food lol. This spot is my standout find of the year in ny. I thought the reviews would be bs, I was wondering how good can noodles be, I did not know I’d find my favorite noodle dish of my life this day. My plan wasn’t even to have this I sort of just experimented and little did I know I found one of my favorite spots of the year overall and for sure my favorite spot in nyc. Their hand pulled noodles are next level, I loved pretty much everything about the experience and they are definitely deserving of the great reviews. If you’re wondering if you should try this trust me you will not regret it.

Went to the 20th Avenue and 62nd street location of laghman express in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn nyc. Written up by the ny times in 24 and 25 as one of the top nyc restaurants. Amazing service, comfortable and cozy dining space with such great Uzbek food. All the noodle and meat dishes were delicious. Exactly what we needed during this cold 17 degrees weather. Only issue: food was served in to go containers. Where as their other location on Coney Island Ave serve their dishes in beautiful ceramic green plates and bowls.Highly recommend!!!

Everything is tasty and the portions are generous — definitely a must-try spot. The stir-fried lamb is clean and flavorful with no excess oil. The dry fried noodles has a really well-balanced sauce, and the noodles are nicely chewy. The savory yogurt is unique and something I hadn’t tried before — highly recommended. The lamb samsa is fluffy, crispy, and packed with flavor — hands down the best samsa in NYC.

My first time to visit laghman express and I'm very happy with the food, service, cleanness, decoration and the ambiance. Best Manty in NYC, I like all the food but I can't remember the right name for all the dishes, the traditional dish with soft meat and boiled potatoes served over pasta with chives and onion was amazing, Morocco's tea was outstanding. Server Kamilya and Ruobina did a great job. The Chef/ Manager is a great host and very professional. Hopefully in God weals I'll come again next Monday. Respectfully, Mostafa

This small unassuming restaurant serves different and flavorful food from what I normally eat. They serve central Asian food (according to website) and there aren't many restaurants around the area that do. Ive gotten take out from there twice already and food has always been good. The place has seats for sit in, but it's quite small, not ideal for large parties. The person taking our order was very nice and showed us some of their popular recommendations. I've tried 2 different noodles so far and they were both good but If I had to pick 1, I liked the dry fried noodles more. Its extremely flavorful and has a bit of a spicy kick to it. My 3 yo kid enjoyed it. I also tried the guyurou laghman and it's good as well. Stir fried lamb with cumin- delicious. I recommend everyone to order this. So much flavor, and does not taste gamey at all. My favorite dish out of everything ive tried. Black fungus salad- yummy, slightly sour. I love black fungus and its good for people with high blood pressure. My 3 yo liked it as well. Overall, i recommend coming here if you're in the neighborhood for some quick and delicious eats. Not a fancy restaurant but good soothing food, perfect for winter.

This place is such a hidden gem! I found out about this place because of a friend's recommendation. Now I want to share it with fellow yelpers as well! Every item we've tried here has been amazing. The pictures don't do justice. Every bite is packed with flavor and the portion sizes are quite generous as well. This was my first time trying Uyghurs cuisine and now I'm hooked. Their noodles are the perfect texture. Meats are the perfect amount of seasoning and tenderness. The dining area is a bit small, so you might have to wait a little if you have a larger group. The three times we've visited, we always managed to grab the last table. (Lucky) This place is very causal, they serve your food in paper plates so you can just toss them after dining. Honestly I want to make it a goal to try everything on the menu someday. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurant in Brooklyn. Items we've tried: - Dan ban Ji (saucy stew chicken with noodle - Guyurou Laghman (beef stir fry noodle) - Beef dumplings (sauce is amazing) - Lamb with scallions - Lamb with cumin - samosa - Naan bread - black fungus mushroom salad

This is a hidden gem where every dish is packed with flavor! It serves central Asian halal food. I highly recommend the dapanji which literally translates to big plate of chicken - the meat is so tender and there is a slight kick of heat. The noodles soak up the sauce so well. If you are looked for an appetizer, the dumplings are amazing - super juicy and filled with meat! The staff are so nice and the place is minimal, but clean. The dishes are served in plastic containers or paper plates, but the food is so good that it really doesn't matter.

Walked by this place last Saturday and instantly knew I wanted to try their food. Happened to be in the neighborhood again today, so I stopped in for a late lunch. Place looked really clean upon walking in, there was no line but plenty of people already seated enjoying their meals. Was pleasantly greeted immediately and order taken right away. I decided to try the shawarma on a plate, comes with rice, lightly breaded and fried chicken/lamb and a salad. Very nice portion, enough for 2 meals. The rice was perfectly cooked, nice and fluffy, not hard or mushy, salad was crisp and fresh and meat perfectly fried, nice and toasty. Came out piping hot (love that) with a side of their salsa and white sauce, both yumm. Tables are equipped with chilli oil, chopsticks, forks, napkins and some other condiments, wasn't sure what they were. Once a I was ready to go, asked for a lid and a bag for my bowl (very convenient). If I could critique one thing, the after taste is a bit salty, not so much so that I wouldn't eat here again. I find to to be an issue with a lot of restaurant food. Overall enjoyable, I'll be back :)

In early May, our group of five came for lunch after I'd passed by and was intrigued by A) the restaurant's cozy and unassuming space and B) the name. I'm such a sucker for laghman. Luckily we were able to snag a table, since a few were already taken, and an employee was occupying half the restaurant for a photo shoot with the dishes. Very fun to get a peek behind the scenes. We ordered a bunch of things: smashed cucumber salad, spicy chicken, suirou lagman, dry fried noodles, manti, and naan (this Central Asian bread cooked in a clay oven is always a must). I also got the cold noodles with lamb cumin to go. My favorites were the dry lagman, with its fresh and slightly chewy noodles, and the refreshing, garlicky cucumbers. I could probably do without the manti on a return visit. But overall, everything was hearty and delicious. I also ordered a tea with lemon and sugar, and while I thought it was a cup, it was actually a whole pitcher. Such a great deal for the $4 price tag! They gave us an extra pitcher for free, which was so kind of them. The tea was deliciously sweet and soothing on this cool and rainy day.

We found this restaurant on yelp's website, both of us are happy to try's out . I order samsa came out is cold have been sitting there for long time . Spicy cucumber this one is good ! But two other dishes are not good at all. One is spicy lamb with hot peppers too salty. Then I return it back replaced to lamb rice . Lamb noodles are my second dish. All of them came out is cold . Seem like they precooked when you order then put in microwave heat it up and bring out to the table. The lamb meat is too dry and look like sitting in the fridge for a while!!! Do not recommend this restaurant! But the waitress she was good !

If you are making a trip to Brooklyn, Laghman is a MUST. Absolutely amazing food! The dry noodles are phenomenal. We also got a chicken curry dish, naan and dumplings. The dumplings were seasoned perfectly with an accompanying sauce that enhanced the flavor. The price is beyond affordable and service was great too.

Saw Wing L.'s posting of this restaurant and mentioning how they were selected as 100 best on NYT and so I had to visit and am I glad I did. Their food is is delicious, service is great, restaurant is clean and they have outdoor seatings as well. We came here for lunch on a Sunday and their restaurant wasn't too crowded but they did have a good amount of foot traffic. We were seated immediately and we ordered a few dish to share. Their samsa was outstanding. Their dough was perfectly made. It had a nice crust outside but yet still soft and chewy and was complimented so well with the juicy ground lamb meat inside. We also tried their mushroom ear salad, steam dumplings and hand pulled noodles with cumin lamb and they too were delicious. My only qualm was that my cumin lamb was too lean but it's minor as I'm aware it's a matter of preference. Overall, I was very impressed with this place. I'm so happy they opened up in Brooklyn and I definitely recommend checking them out. I will definitely come back again.

Spot was fantastic. Food was excellent, server was friendly. The space is cozy. Def worth it and will be back.

This spot is very unassuming and goddamn delicious. The restaurant is pretty clean and has a fast casual vibe. Every dish is flavorful and fresh. The chicken tray is tender and savory and comes with al dente hand pulled noodles. The plov comes with tender chunks of lamb. The tripe salad and cucumber salad are refreshing and vibrant. The boiled wontons are cozy and similar to pelmenis in flavor. I will be going back for more.

We love ourselves some Uzbek food! Laghman express always hits! This seems to be a family establishment - most time I've went it's always packed- the food is made fresh and their menu has recently upgraded to add more items. We love their laghman, bread, dumplings and lamb cumin- everything is delicious

After seeing the very high number (currently 460+) of 5* reviews on Google not long after they opened, I was waiting patiently for the day to come when I could finally try delicious Uyghur food, which I've never had before! The day came and I finally got to experience what the rest of the reviewers did. Walking inside, it was a small mom-and-pop restaurant. While a little cramped, it was clean and bright. I walked up to the counter and ordered dry fried noodles, spicy chicken, and an order of hand-pulled noodles. Pay in cash so they don't charge a credit card fee! Granted it was busy when we were there, it took a whole 35 minutes from ordering to getting our food. About 20 minutes into the wait, the lady brought out a pot of honey lemon tea for us, which helped the wait a bit. The dry fried noodles were good! It may look spicy but it wasn't at all. I honestly had no idea what meat was in it but it tasted like lamb. I would appreciate it if they added descriptions of each dish because people like me aren't too familiar with Uyghur cuisine. The spicy chicken was freshly fried pieces of chicken thigh. It was tasty but way too salty to eat on its own. Loved the red onions and peppers though! I think it would be better to have this dish served with hand-pulled noodles or rice instead of having to order it on the side. Luckily, we ordered hand-pulled noodles on the side, which were perfectly pulled/cooked - very bouncy! Since the noodles are flavorless, the secret is to add some chili oil available at the table. While I don't mind them using paper plates, the dry fried noodles had a sauce coating which caused the plate to soak up the sauce and eventually bleed onto the table. It would be better if they used better quality plates to prevent that in the future. All in all, there are pros and cons to Laghman Express. Since they're just starting, some things can be improved with feedback. However, I find it shocking that there are so many 5* reviews on Google and no reviews at all on Yelp. Hopefully, they consider my feedback and continue to improve. I would still be back to try their other dishes!

The food and service here are great! Honestly they could even be a bit bigger because every time I've been here -- especially on weekends -- it's been packed. Even so, I love seeing other families come here enjoying their food. Highly recommend their fried noodles and the chicken with peppers. The wonton soup here is great too, especially in the colder months. I always look forward to coming here, even though it's quite far!

The food was delicious and the waiters were sweet and welcoming im definitely coming back here again! And its so comfy and cozy in there too! Love to go again.

Food: - Beef Dumplings with chili sweet vinegar dressing: 8/10 the dumplings were well spiced and very juicy. It tastes like a warm hug. Perfect on a cold day - Chicken Dry Fried Noodles: 8/10 the chicken and noodles tastes really good. It wasn't overly greasy as in most places. The chicken was crisp without being dry - Samsa: 9/10 crispy and flaky pastry with tender meat with warm spices on the inside. Again it wasn't too greasy - Smashed Cucumber Salad: 9/10 cucumber salad with a bit of a kick, it helps to compensate the meat sweats Service was amazing. The cashier was really nice and provided us with great recommendations since it was our first time. The food was brought out quickly. The interior is very clean and aesthetic. Normally I leave with my food and eat at home but this place makes me wanna sit and eat.

I got the manta steamed lamb dumplings and the beef stir fried noodles, both were absolutely amazing. And the spice level was perfect too. The waitresses were so attentive from the moment we walked in. Not a single thing to improve on during my experience. One of the best meals I've had in nyc for sure

Decent food and amazing service. The portions were huge, so everything was worth its price. I will say my favorite was definitely the stir-fried lamb with cumin. The place is kind of small, but definitely check this place out if you're in the area

First time giving this place a try. I made an order over the phone for pick up. After I got home and saw my receipt, I gave them a call because charges were like example $3.09 vs $3.00 for Samsa and like Spicy chicken was $13.38 vs $12.99. The lady said it was "Cost of the Item + Credit Card Fee". She did not disclose anything about fees over the phone when I asked for the total during my order or in person about paying with a credit card vs cash. She said she had many customers being confused and it's a system thing. But if you knew why don't you fix it? All she said was "Sorry for the inconvenience". So now, they are charging NYC Sales Tax 8.875% on TOP of this credit card fee (3%). NYC tax should be on the items, not items plus "fees" and then tax. I understand places charge credit card fees but not like this method. Credit card fees should be charged at the end. FOOD - Honey cakes - super tiny for $5, smalller than your average slice cakes from bakeries. Spicy chicken - not spicy at all Dry beef noodles - a bit sweet, noodles texture was good. They also gave us side of ketchup? Samsa - was small, flakey and warm, not bad

Halal. Super clean and large seating arrangements. Quick and efficient service. Nice color scheme. I ordered the Dry Fry noodles to go. Will def come back to try other dishes. I paid $17 for the one dish. I felt that the portion was a small compared to the price. But they use lamb or beef as protein in most of their dishes so the price is maybe justifiable. But the noodle-meat ratio to justify it is a bit debatable. Also their menu just says "meat" for some of the dishes which they should specify. I'll def come back and do recommend to give it a shot!

Came here on labor day with my sister just a little over a hour before closing but I will definitely be coming back. It was pretty busy and all the tables inside were taken so it was my first time eating at an outdoor table. The weather was cooler than expected so I can only blame myself for not dressing appropriately and showing up at that time. In my next visit I will just have to go a little earlier in the day. I kept seeing ads for this place on instagram and it intrigued me so I saved it to my "go to" folder. I haven't tried Central Asian food before so I didn't know what to expect. I'm Chinese so skimming over the Chinese names on the menu gave me an idea of what the dishes could be like. We ordered traditional tea with milk ($6.99), kompot ($4.99), guyurou laghman ($15.99), and stir fried lamb with cumin ($19.99). Initially I wanted to try the tashkent style plov and the crispy eggplants with sweet tomato but those were sold out because of the holiday which was understandable (I will be trying them in my next visit). The tea with milk came very hot in a teapot. My sister liked it but personally I thought it was just ok. I would have liked the tea to be stronger and it to be less sweet but it's just a preference thing. However, it was nice to keep me warm. The kompot was very refreshing and fun. I will be getting this again. Guyurou laghmann had a lot of meat and vegetables. The noodles were perfectly chewy and holds onto the sauce well. Stir fried lamb with cumin is very flavorful. If my sister and I weren't so full from the guyurou laghman (it was a very generous portion), we would have ordered a side of rice to go with it. At the end we took this to go.

I came in on a Friday around 2:30 pm for a quick meal. It's a small space and most of the tables were filled up. The friendly waitstaff took my order and brought out my delicious 'Fries and meat & veggies' after a very short wait. It was crispy, flavorful, and a good portion size. Oh and they are HALAL. I'll be returning to try more things from the menu! For a quick, yummy meal, try Laghman Express.

Ordered for the first time. Wifey and I got the cold noodle dish and stir fried lamb. Very flavorful and spicy. Definitely will order again and try some of their other dishes. Nice portion sizes as well.

One of my absolute favorites in all of Brooklyn, not just deep southern Brooklyn. The dry fried noodles come with my highest recommendation. A lot of the very nice people working here are actually Kazakh, Uzbek, etc. if I understand correctly. A bit crowded at times and full of noisy families, but a very nice location nonetheless, charming and spotless. Go with a group at an off-hour if you can, and order everything.

Stopped in because this spot is listed on the NYT's 100 Best Restaurants in NYC 2024 and it didn't disappoint. We were expecting it to be busy and crowded on a Friday evening but to our surprised it was mainly regulars coming in for their dinner. We wanted to try everything so with our group of 3 we each got an entree and everything was amazing. Surprisingly, the French fries with steak and veg was our favorite because the fries were crispy and well seasoned with such great flavors from the meat and veggies. They were very nice and accommodating. Make sure you bring cash to save yourself the credit card fee! We also got some free dessert and tea. We will 100% be back to try the rest of the menu that we didn't get to try.

Stumbled here the first time and have been back twice. The food is flavorful, fresh, good portions, and the price is good. The ladies working the register are super sweet and friendly. They were patient and willing to converse about their dishes. I still need to try the Big Plate chicken, as every time we try to order it, its sold out LOL the spicy chicken is great, fried and then stir fried. French fries with meat & veg was surprisingly great as well.

Today I was there first time and tried fried lagman. I really liked it, you can smell the garlic and the meat is very tasty, the portion is very large. all the staff are friendly. very cozy place. I'll be back again)

Tried this place because of 500 reviewed with 5stars on google. fake review. Waited 30mins with no tea or water. Place is packed and food service is super slow. If you don't speak their language you won't even get to sit. A guy came in and took our table: Fake google review. Stupid fake reviews. Noodle way toooooo salty. Not recommended if you don't speak their language. I'm so mad First 20mins experience - no tea or water provided - noodle came in 1 min but way tooooo salty

Absolutely delicious will be back again! Recommend the cucumber salad, samsa, & dry fried noodles with lamb. Food has a little kick but it's so flavorful and so fairly priced!

Incredibly delicious! Great service too! Come with an empty stomach because the portions are generous. While the food is heavy, it's also reasonably priced. I loved eating the fries with beef, rise noodles with beef, Guyurou laghman, and the fried manty. Lastly, don't forget to get a bottle of the fruit drink made in house, it's not too sweet and quite refreshing!

The laghman was very hearty with handmade noodles. I prefer it without peppers but that's a personal preference. The samsa was crispy, fresh and meaty.

Fry Lakman is hands down a winner, very authentic Central Asia food. Their lamb leg soup is also amazing just like home made. Samsa is amazing as well, the pastry skin is light and fluffy and meat is tasty. Can't go wrong with this place, my families will definitely come back again.

I heard so much about this place and its delicious noodles, and I was blown away by the stir-fried lamb and dry noodles dish. The tender lamb was perfectly seasoned and complemented by the flavorful, chewy noodles. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting ambiance, transporting me to the heart of Uyghur cuisine. If you're a fan of hearty and authentic dishes, this place is a must-try!
