Lago Wine Bar

I love it at this restaurant! The food was delicious both for dinner and for brunch. I was surprised by how big the pasta dished were since we were told they were tapas style but they were good sized portions. The ambiance is great and the staff was helpful. I'll definitely be coming back often.

Food was amazing. Service was not. 15 min from time we were seated until first server arrived to take order. Then, at the end of the meal, took 35 min to get the bill and pay. This was only because we finally asked. Our server was M. I. A. for 25+ min and all of the other servers and managers ignored our signals and gestures for assistance. Again, food and wine were great, which is why this is a 3, not a 1. If service had been even remotely par to a regular full service restaurant, this would have been a 5. Disappointing, this was our first time trying the place out.

Beautiful, fresh, clean concept. The room is open and inviting. The wine list is on point for what is expected, bravo! The food, I am sure is tantalizing, I may be back for something after brunch. It is great to see a place where the people who own or manage are so involved. Brilliant place! Must come and enjoy a glass and a tapas!

10/10 restaurant in Chicago! The most comforting and cozy vibe inside with even better food to match. The pasta dishes were amazing great for yourself of sharing, amazing wine & the best tiramisu I've ever had. I cannot wait to go back here with many friends in the future

We've gone to Lago Wine Bar twice now. The food and ambiance are both excellent! The new owner and staff all seem professional and friendly. The place is looking to secure a rooftop, which would make it an ideal summer spot too.

A great restaurant and wine bar that I recommend to everyone. The staff are really great and knowledgable. The food is exceptional and served tapas style. If you're in the area, be sure to check it out. You won't be disappointed.

This place has great food/drinks and competitive pricing. It is exactly what Lakeview has needed for a while. The place specializes in "small plates" that are meant for sharing, but there is really nothing "small" about the serving sizes. My wife and I ordered 4 total plates and couldn't get close to finishing what we ordered. The food is delicious. The Lobster Ravioli in Vodka Sauce was my favorite and the Filet Mignon Carpaccio was spiced perfectly. All of the dishes are very affordable and the atmosphere is amazing. The service is a little slow (probably will improve as they go through their growing pains), but it does not affect the overall experience in the least.

Best gnocchi I’ve had outside of Italy. Tender calamari, mushroom tagliatelle and pear cheesecake to die for! Great service and ambiance. Great wine and cocktails. Will be back!
