Lala Land on the beach in Tel Aviv was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The service was beyond horrible. Drinks took over 30 minutes to arrive, and the waiters seemed completely untrained. I had to flag them down repeatedly just to get basic service.
They forgot the olives I ordered, and when I reminded them, it took another 30 minutes for them to finally bring them out. Absolutely ridiculous. When it was finally time for the bill, they gave me the wrong one after I had already waited a long time, and then took ages again to bring the correct bill. The level of incompetence was unbelievable.
But the worst part was the manager. When I refused to leave a tip because the service was so obviously terrible, instead of apologizing or even just accepting it, he actually got angry. He told me my “face looked like shit” and started cursing at me in front of everyone. I’ve never in my life seen such disgusting, unprofessional behavior from someone who is supposed to be running a restaurant.
This place doesn’t deserve a single shekel of anyone’s money. The staff is slow and careless, and the manager is downright verbally abusive. There are plenty of good places to eat in Tel Aviv. don’t waste your time, money, or patience at Lala Land. Avoid this place like the plague.
