LALA'S Argentine Grill On Melrose

Food was delicious. We ordered the Entrana Al Ajo: skirt steak with sautéed garlic on top, fries, salad and the salmon plate with mashed potatoes and salad. They also gave us bread with their famous chimichurri sauce which went perfectly with the skirt steak and salmon. Also pet friendly! We brought our big doggie and sat in the covered patio. I would come back!

I would rate my experience at Lala’s between a 3.5 and 4. The meal itself was good. We shared two sides and a meat platter, as per the special. I do wish there was a bit more flavoring on the steaks and chicken. I thought the sausage was excellent. As for the sides, the spinach could’ve been spiced a bit more, but I found the pepper really nice. The portion was very generous! When we first arrived, before even sitting down, we inquired if there were gluten free options. The host was very insistent there were, and that we could order the special platter (which was assorted meat + two sides), and pick from a few sides they highlighted as safe. Our server was aware of this, and said we could order the special platter and choose two of the gluten free sides. Based on this information, we decided to eat at Lala’s and ordered exactly what they deemed as safe sides to go with the special platter requirements. When the bill came out, we were charged for the special platter AND the sides, even though the deal was “Assorted Meat + 2 Sides”. A manager(?) came out and tried to argue with us that we had to pay for the sides because “you can only choose fries as a side” even though it didn’t say that anywhere on the menu, that wasn’t the information the host or the server gave us BEFORE sitting down, and there was no way I could order fries because they weren’t gluten free. I would’ve chosen to eat elsewhere if that was the case. The difference was $1.50 between the spinach and the fries, but he tried to charge us $6.50 TWICE for both the spinach and the pepper, even though we never even got anything else as a side. It put a sour taste on the overall experience. I will say, our server did eventually help straighten out the confusion, and we paid for what we were initially promised. It’s sad that an otherwise nice meal had to suffer due to miscommunication, and some less than kind service from an individual.

My weak point is argentine cuisine to be fair, but even then this was amazing. Very good high quality Argentine steak, with flavorful chimichurri sauce and mashed potatoes that were soft without being overly creamy or heavy. I didn't even have space leftover to get to the empanadas, will try them later 😅 Too satisfied.

I usually have great experiences ordering from this location, but I’ve recently had two issues with undercooked chicken. Today’s order included a partially cooked chicken breast, and about a month ago I received another piece that was mostly raw. I wanted to give it another try because the food is normally very good, but this has been disappointing, especially at this price point.

We used to always go to another Argentine restaurant (Bossa nova) & They used to be my favorite, but they’ve gone downhill lately (unfortunately) Although. Fortunately, for us, we discovered Lala’s! We love the grilled salmon & The Dijon grilled salmon. The mashed potatoes are one of the best in the city & I love the champignon mashed potatoes (Which is like a mushroom gravy) But we even tried it once without gravy & the regular mashed potatoes are just as delicious with butter! We always get takeout and the quality is perfect. The mashed potatoes are always nice and hot even after being delivered The Portion sizes are great! I’m Including photos That are half of a dinner.

We enjoyed our dinner last night at the Lala’s Melrose location. Our waiter Blas was extremely knowledgeable and personable. His recommendations were all very good. We will be back.

Great friendly staff. Steak was cooked perfectly(med rare). Rice and mashed potatoes were delicious. Open air dining, the heaters were set too high. Traffic was a bit loud. Overall good food, and wonderful service.

This is in the Studio City area of LA and was close to the Groundlings School Where we went for sketch comedy. What a fantastic experience we had at this restaurant. So happy we made it for Happy Hour. Our server was attentive and helpful. Would gladly visit again when we visit the area. Highly recommend!

Overall good food on Melrose. My daughter and I stopped by this location while out at the stranger things "last ride" event. The food was ok. The salmon was slightly too salty and had a lot of fat/oil. I prefer wild caught salmon but that wasn't an option. This location does not have a full license to serve alcohol so the drinks contain less alcohol percentages (I think up to 25%). That's perfect for me. We ordered the vodka tonic with lemon which was pretty tasty. The service was ok. The staff helped each other out when the other waiters were too busy. I will definitely visit this location again.

Came here the other night purely off Yelp reviews since we were in the area after walking around The Grove and were pretty hungry. It was around 9:30 pm when we arrived and we got seated right away. The menu has a ton of options, so we decided to try a few things. The beef empanada was amazing. Crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle. Really good. I ordered the Lomo LALA'S, which is filet mignon topped with sautéed mushrooms in a light red wine cream sauce. It comes with mashed potatoes, but I upgraded to the carrot mash and I actually liked it a lot more. Smooth texture and a nice flavor. My steak was cooked to the perfect medium like I asked. We also got the mahi mahi. It was brushed with olive oil and garlic, grilled nicely, and still moist. The portions were filling and the service was great. They also bring out complimentary bread with chimichurri, and that was fire. We refilled that sauce like five times. Overall, we were pretty happy with everything. Everyone enjoyed their food and I'd definitely come back to try more dishes.

I was having a taste for salmon for lunch so I yelped it. LALA's popped up and it was close to where I was. Had decent reviews and someone mentioned a lunch menu! I love a great lunch menu with decent pricing. I arrived and it was pretty empty inside so I was a bit worried. It's a cute place. Very simple decor. I still decided to order the salmon lunch special. Which was only $17. It came with either rice or salad. I chose the salad. It also comes with a bread basket and dipping sauce, which almost stole the show. When the salmon arrived I could've fainted because it was so juicy and cook just right. Bravo chef !!! Seasoned so well!! I have already been back for lunch again. That's how good it was. Great place for an afternoon meeting or lunch date with the girls.

So I have been coming to this restaurant since the 90s and it has always been my favorite place and I always get the same two dishes either the salmon Dijon or the chicken Milanese Suprema, which is my all time favorite with mashed potatoes. I brought a friend for the first time bragging about this restaurant. So, when my chicken suprema came out , the breaded pot was completely burned and covered up with the sauce and the mozzarella cheese. The chef obviously thought I wouldn't notice, but I could barely cut through the chicken and I scraped off the breadcrumbs just to see what was going on and it was totally burned and the chicken inside was so dry and tough. I could barely cut through that also. I asked the server what was going on and his response was. " it's deep fried. ", as if I was an idiot and I didn't know this already, we had been waiting here for already 45 minutes and after working all day without eating and the thought of waiting for another 30 minutes was not even an option. I never complain about food and I didn't want to be a problem because I love this restaurant so much. I tried to eat what I could but was only able to eat mashed potatoes. I'm not gonna lie, but in the years I've been coming here. This was the worst experience I have had and I just felt as if I was dismissed by the server and he did not even Care. I will probably go back because this is the first time this has happened to me and I introduce a lot of my friends to this place. I'm disappointed, but hoping this is just a one off. I was actually surprised that I was expected to pay for this, but it is what it is.

Ayooo! So this review is for these togo items. I ordered the Calamari and Beef Empanada. Calamari was def hand battered and fried cause some of batter was falling off. It was very soft and cooked perfectly through. I'd give it 4/5 cause of the batte. Im sure if i had it fresh from restaurant it would be perfect. The marinara red sauce was good but the tartar sauce was ok. I'd prefer some type of aioli. Now the Beef Empanada was 5/5! I'd say one of the best in town because the Crust was so flakey. Crisp on outside and soft inside. The Beef filling was perfectly seasoned and the Chimachiri just took it to the next level. Looking forward to returning to taste the other Empanadas. Street Parking and Credit Cards are excepted.

I have not been here in years. However, I was in the area and wanted some lunch so I decided to dine here to see if the food was still delicious. I was contacted by the owner Haracio who was very hospitable. He made sure I had everything I needed and even gave me a courtesy of grilled mushrooms and flan dessert. I ordered the Mahi Mahi fish with rice and broccoli and it was very tasty with fine ingredients. Nice cool aura. I love how the windows are open and you get a nice view of the street and cool air. Nice-sized bar with all types of alcohol, wine, and beer. Nice-sized menu with a lot of healthy options and regular food. Parking can be difficult but they gave parking in the street and in the rear of the restaurant. I will definitely return and try the chicken with rice salad that Horacio recommended. Thanks Haracio for a wonderful time and your kind heart.

Finally got to stop by after passing by so often! My friend and I were sat at the patio and there was a nice breeze so it was perfect! We came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't so full. I got the Lomo medium rare with a salad side and mashed potatoes and my friend got the Lomo but medium well with a salad and fries. My steak was a little dryer than I'd like for it to be medium rare and I tried my friends fries because I know Argentinians are known for serving fries with their entree but they were just basic fries. We also ordered two beef empanadas and two chicken empanadas and they were a great size. The beef was a little better than the chicken per usual. I think out of everything the beef empanada was my fav. I also really enjoyed the chimmi churri sauce. One thing we noticed that was odd and a little disappointing was the extra charge for veggies. I'm not sure why they would be charging extra for veggies. As if people are already not getting their veggies in. It's not really helping the situation by charging extra. Our waiter was nice and friendly. Beautiful patio with palms giving it a tropical vibe.

We came for Dine LA and it was a pretty-OK experience. One thing I wish I'd known... this restaurant is almost entirely a patio. Now it's a covered patio but there won't be any AC. And we came in the hottest mid-summer heat wave. I wasn't thrilled when I walked "in" and saw that there were only fans. I tried to tough it out but when my friend arrived, he immediately vetoed the idea of sitting outside and we asked to be moved in to the small bar area, which is a bit more enclosed and does have AC. This is probably a great stop in Fall or Winter, but I won't do it again in the summer. Moving on... I love Dine LA but I thought the menu LaLa's came up with was strange for lunch. Particularly a summer lunch. The offerings all seemed so heavy - a big steak and mashed potatoes? Doesn't scream "lunch" to me. Luckily, the entire table didn't need to participate. The Sparkling Sangria is good. Table bread is served with a very nice garlic and herb/olive oil dipping sauce. My friend's arugla salad (he ordered off the $35 all day Dine LA menu, not the $25 lunch one) was fresh and bright. And really large! He also had the Napolitano (beef) and it was enormous - easily enough for two meals or more. He packed a lot to take home. I went with a couple of apps - the Tortilla de Papa and the Shrimp Patagonia. The Tortilla was good. The Shrimp were the highlight of the entire lunch - it's almost like they're cooked in that tasty bread dip. Lala's has a huge menu. They would probably be well served with a little editing. This was probably a 3.5 - nothing was bad at all but nothing really stood out and the Dine LA menu didn't feel well thought out. Parking on Melrose can be ridiculous of course. It wasn't bad for lunch but I imagine evenings or weekends it is probably difficult. I would go back. In winter.

July 23, 2025 | LaLa's Argentine Grill on Melrose is just as good as I remember years ago! My friend & I went on Wednesday evening & my taste buds are still savoring the memories! Hahaha! Mahi Mahi Popeye Salmon: Tender, generous portion with flavor upon flavor! Brushed with olive oil and garlic & with every single bite, as it was also topped with plenty of spinach! It's a memorable dish! I highly recommend!! Choice of a Side Dish: I decided on half rice & half mashed potatoes! The yellow steamed with onions and peppers rocked my whole world! It was gone quicker than I had imagined, though plentiful! Hahaha! The rice is an absolute must, wildly flavorful! The mashed potatoes are creamy goodness!! Wine: Perfect pairing! Customer Service: Friendly from the moment we stepped inside, throughout and on our way out! Thanks again to our amazing server who helped me decide on a delicious dish, as well as wine! Parking: Meters on both sides of the streets! We found parking easily and nearby on Wednesday evening! Overall: An absolute yes! I'm excited to go back and try more salmon dishes on the menu! Yum!! Quite the drive away, and absolutely worth it! Let's go!!

Highlights: skirt steak! Their skirt steak is honestly better than what I've had at some high-end steakhouses. It's juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The chimichurri sauce? Absolutely top-notch. It's fresh, tangy, and the perfect match for the steak. This place nails it every time. Highly recommend if you're craving great Argentine food without the hefty price tag!

I came here on a Thursday evening with 3 friends to celebrate one of their birthdays and it was an10/10 experience. We tried the empanadas de carne, bife encebollado (twice), milanesa, and gaucho. Everything was cooked to perfection. The cuts of meats were well-selected, like steakhouse-level good. Service was fast and professional. Definitely a must-try restaurant.

4 for groups, ambience and service. 3 for food. I have been hearing the hype about Lala's since the 90s, but had never been. It was a dear friends bday and their crew used to frequent here in the 90s. So we celebrated here and it was perfect on a weekday for a large group 10+ outside patio in the back corner nice and quiet and easy to converse. The service was great. Really nice people. And they gave the bday person a birthday candle packaged with Lalas name etc. Such a unique touch!!! Loved that. Parking was easy as we scored a meter right outside the restaurant but I imagine that's not normal! So I'd probably uber here vs drive. The food for me was just ok. We split the imported tariff free rib eye from Argentina. It did not live up to the hype sad to say. I have my rib eye spots and sadly this won't be one of them. The mashed potatoes were a bit watery and no flavor and the spinach had no flavor either. The chimmichurri was delicious but the bread should be served warm. I'll give it another try but my first time was not a win.

Food came out fast! Service is good. We didn't get a lunch menu or pre fix menu handed to us so im not sure if they're still doing that. I go the entraña rare and it was cooked perfectly! Good portion and the sides are yummy. I liked the mashed potatoes and spinach also. No ambiance it's a casual spot. Street parking

HAPPY HOUR!!! Their drinks are always greatly affordable and simple, but the food on the happy hour menu is the best part. $3.50 empanadas, and we happened to be there on a Tuesday which is BOGO empanadas! The 3oz filet mignon is melt in your mouth amazing. Chorizo is perfect too. Both served with super fresh tomatoes. Their Sangria was simple but yummy. Empanadas hot and tasty. It's a little noisy being on a busy street, but it was nice being outside with the breeze, even on a hot day. Server was super friendly and attentive. Checked in on us quite often and was quick to provide what we request. I can't wait to come back, seriously, try the filet mignon.

Food was really good and the server/bartender (we sat at the bar) was very cool - checked on us and also made recommendations. We came on a Friday and it wasn't too busy so we were seated right away. The complimentary bread with the chimichurri is sooo good. We ordered the Patagonia shrimp which was very yummy. And the chicken milanesa with fries and salad (comes with two sides). For dessert, we split the affogato. This was enough to split between two people. We'll def be coming back.

Sadly, I don't visit LaLa's often but when I do, it is ALWAYS on-point with great food, great ambiance and wonderful service! My visit was on a Wednesday evening (50% of bottles of wine, YAY!). I ordered a delicious bottle of Pinot Grigio and it was cool, crisp and refreshing! The empanadas are delicious and heavenly! A must to order when you visit! I recommend the cheese and onion empanada, YUM! My server, Kimberly, was/is AWESOME! She cared for me on my last visit and again on this visit. LaLa's is a MUST visit so please make an effort to enjoy a great experience with great service, ambiance and food! You'll be happy you made a visit!

I had a first date there for lunch. It was the perfect place. Quiet enough that we could talk but engaging enough with the thoughtful staff that it was fun and not at all awkward. The staff was attentive and really on top of it and our food was delicious. I'm not a big fan of steak but they had lots of selections as an alternative. I had the shrimp Patagonia as an entree and it was the most tender shrimp that I have ever had. It was so juicy and flavorful. I also had the fries which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My date had the salmon which was cooked perfectly. We had a great time and I will definitely go there again. Also we had a good time and are going to see each other again. The parking is rough. They do have valet but the lot is small so get there early or take an Lyft.

I recall enjoying their Melrose salad years back, and now I wanted to go with an actual entree since I was dining in. Out of all their chicken dishes, I went with the dijon with two sides (salad/mashed potatoes), and an additional side of rice ($5). Bread and chimichurri sauce was brought out right away, and I demolished this within minutes. Food was brought out in a timely matter, and I have to say the chicken and mashed potatoes were just okay (I still finished the potatoes but not the chicken). However, the rice was tasty-even though I picked out most of the peppers and onions-and for some reason, that side salad was really good! Perhaps it was the dressing but I found this really refreshing since it was a rather warm day out. I omitted the onions but something so simple hit the spot. However what got me is that the service was Great! From hostess to server, food runner, etc., everyone was friendly and 'on'. I did return to get a Melrose Salad on a later visit and this also wasn't as good as I recalled. I guess their meat and I don't get on too well. Even though what I chose these past couple visits wasn't the best, I'm still glad this was a spot that I (re)tried twice, and I do look forward to trying a pasta on a future visit; I know I'll find my top dish here eventually-

I must say that this was a very welcoming and enjoyable visit - our server (Blas?) went above and beyond. The whole experience and ambience was relaxed and fun! We tucked into our empanadas (2 for 1 on Tuesdays before 6) and forgot to take a pic!! Mrs G enjoyed a red Sangria while I devoured two Margaritas! Mrs G had the mahi mahi while I had the (special?) Brazilian steak (Picana) with LOTS of fries. All in all a really fun and relaxed early dinner and this is essentially local to our new home in Beverly Hills and so we WILL be back regularly I am sure. Tasty food and drinks, great service and a fun indoor/outdoor experience with street parking ($2 for 2 hours) without price sticker shock!!

I LOVE Lala's Argentine Grill! I used to frequent the downtown restaurant and didn't realize it was on the west side until recently! Came here for lunch with a friend and was pleasantly greeted by the staff. The restaurant wasn't busy due to it being a lunch time on a weekday and we were able to pick where we wanted to sit. The restaurant is spacious and has seating outside as well just in case you want to get some fresh air while you eat. Since we were there for lunch, I ordered the chicken with a side of mashed potatoes and salad while my friend got the steak sandwich. Both options were delicious and were huge portions for the price. Everything was so flavorful. If you're looking for a delicious restaurant with great choices, I definitely recommend!

Looking for a new outdoor patio for you weekend brunch, I highly recommend LALA's. Drinks and food are extremely reasonable in terms of price and the staff could not be more kind and attentive. Try the empanadas with beef and with chicken. While we enjoyed the curry chicken option, save room for other options. Their blood sausage or Morcilla is a must have. I prefer to spread it over their house bread. Tonight we decided go back for dinner and we could not have been more impressed with the staff. Both Kimberly and Natalia remembered us and treated us as family. We ordered the Plato Mixto which includes NY Strip, Skirt Steak and a half Chicken. The chicken was unbelievably moist and the steaks did not disappoint. This dish is a great value for the money spent. There are a lot of great restaurants in LA, however, I strongly feel that friendly staff can make or break even great restaurants. Kimberly, Natalia, Jara and Santiago are the reason we came back for our second round and we will continue to be loyal patrons due to the qualify of food and the staffs hospitality.

Incredibly good food! The juicy steak tastes like Heaven, as it's cooked to perfection, and spiced just right. The generous serving of mashed potatoes with a buttery, perfectly spiced taste were amazing. The bread and dip that comes with it is just right, and the salad is yummy too. (Ordered via Uber Eats.) Treat yourself to their culinary delights. You deserve it!

So glad to have Lala's back. They reopened the dining room ahead of schedule but the patio section is still not ready. Everything is brand spanking new and the food was delicious with warm service. Still a great price for a well prepared steak. Bathroom is shiny and new but doesn't smell great already. Could use better ventilation and maybe a urinal puck. No touch water faucet was also scalding hot, so that should be adjusted as well.

I been here a few times but I must say it was much better a few years ago . The servers were very nice and friendly . The menu cand med across confusing with the suprema chicken the suprema chicken Neapolitana -- etc. Should just keep it simple like suprema chicken add sauce add cheese bla bla . bla ... parking on Melrose can be hectic particularly at night . The seats were part bench style and hard wood style . Not so comfy nor cozy and a tad noisy . The bread was fresh . The food is just ok nothing to salivate over ... but the servers made up for the lack of food appeal . Not sure if it was an off night that night so will give it three stars. Just my own personal experience and opinion .

I've been coming to lalas for over 20 years, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with real care and love . You can tell the owner and his son pour their hearts and hard work into everything they do. It's more than just a restaurant it's a true community gem that always feels like home. Best Blue cheeseburger I've ever eaten. Cool spot friendly service. I'd say you can't go wrong coming here. Im glad I read the other reviews Yelpers rule. If in the Melrose area stop here highly recommend. Time to get the yelp out of here

Ambiance was good. Food was great. The meats were flavorful and cooked to perfection. The New York steak was just okay, but it's typically a thin, lean cut of steak so it's hard to get that juicy or compare it to filet mignon. The servers were very nice and welcoming. I felt I was serviced by 3-4 individuals, because everyone checked up on us.(Not a bad thing for us) Our main server provided great service and accommodated our needs

Had a steak with mushrooms and mashed potatoes , it was delicious definitely coming back . Service was great! And not to forget the chimi is the best . Totally recommend it

Wow! Came here on a Saturday night after an event and walked in around 10:30pm. Sat at the bar. Ordered a starter and a main and instantly as I was eating I knew I had stumbled on something special. Owner told me he's had this and two other locations for several decades. I had a great experience talking to this proprietor and his sons and the food was not just good but great!! It's the best meal of my year traveling for work because i literally walked into the owners living room and the night went on to be a great one from the moment i sat down. I'll be back but anyone reading this should make this spot a MUST!

Ordered a skirt steak to go. A little pricey, but I've dined in person here and the food is very good. Their portion of steak for pick up... wtf?! It's half the size of what you get in restaurant! How much did I just spend for this thumb to index finger sized piece of meat???!

The hospitality as soon as I walked in those doors as on point. Friendly staff and my server was nice and welcoming. I ordered the Calamar Frito (fried calamari) that came with a tartar sauce and tomato sauce which was insanely good. Perfectly battered and not chewy. The chorizo sandwich was pretty good. The chorizo mostly, the sandwich was pretty standard. Lettuce tomato and chimichurri. The fries were cooked to perfection in my opinion. The place was pretty chill, and quiet at the time I went. I got to sit in the patio which had a tarp with a clear opening to see through yet protect you from the elements. Glad I finally got to check out the restaurant.

This location is smaller than the studio city location, parking is much easier though. We went for the Dine LA menu which we thought was a steal. It comes with a drink that's refillable; the starters are amazing especially the mushroom skillet; I liked my salmon better than my husband's steak for the entree - steak was quite mediocre to me, lots of fat and cut very thinly. The desserts were very yummy - flan and crepes - but we were superrrr fully by then so we decided to take them to go instead. Our server was pretty attentive joined by his other colleagues. Would def visit again but prob will try other things on the menu.

I was told that the special was picanha. I received a top sirloin instead without any of the unmistakable fat cap that makes a cut of meat picanha vs a regular (top) sirloin. The manager explained to me that people who order the picanha typically request the fat be removed, so they didn't have any cuts of meat that would satisfy this description despite picanha being the special that evening? Then just say your special is top sirloin rather than picanha. Overall the service and ambience were fine but I was disappointed with how i was told this piece of meat was picanha when clearly it wasn't. I'd come back because the other food items looked/tasted fine.

We came in with low expectations based on mixed feedback since the reopening but we ended up having a great time. The plato mixto easily fed three adults and was a highlight. The chicken skin was crisp and flavorful, the skirt steak a bit overcooked but the New York was spot on. The only miss was the morcilla; too soft in texture and likely a prep issue. What really stood out was the warm hospitality, especially from Misael and Horacio. For drinks, stick to beer and wine. I truly hope they gain momentum. Melrose Ave could use a win with so many great spots closing. Authentic flavors and more affordable cuts of meat vs competition.

I've been to Argentina and dined at Don Julio, but WOW ! I was duly impressed with the steak at Lala's! I ordered the tabla de Cannes - 3 different steaks - Filet, skirt and NY Strip - all delicious! Started with bread and chimmichurri and beef and chicken empanadas. Lala's steaks are really delicious.

It's always great experience at Lala's grill DTLA. I dine in every time I'm in the area and enjoy both the delicious steak & grilled veggies with a great wine pairing. The staff is attentive and quick to refill as needed. Excellent service. I recommend this little gem for anyone looking for a delicious meal in the area.

Lost the Argentinian DNA. Mixed Argentinian dishes with Central American Won't call It an a Argentinian place

The food was so good and the service was amazing. The empanadas were incredible, the chimmichuri hits, and the flavors were exciting. Can't wait for next time!

Wow!!! The service!!! The food!!! 10 out 10!!! Today we celebrated my dad's birthday dinner here at Lalas!!! We used to come often in the past and we hadn't had the chance to come back. We had a party of 18 and the service from the entire staff was superb!!! They made us feel welcome!! Not rushed!!! Explained the menu and offered suggestions. They kept drinks refilled and made sure any dirty dishes were picked up!!! Thank you to all staff and I believe was the manager on duty who came out and talked to us and congratulated my dad and it just made it more personal feeling in the service

Tonight I dined at LaLa's in Melrose. I had received a gift card to it and I was excited to go back since they reopened. Unfortunately I had an unpleasant experience dealing with payment. The cashier was having an issue inputting the gift card. He either didn't know how to do it or there was some other issue but I was patient while he tried to troubleshoot. But when it wasn't working the cashier asked if I had another form of payment. Of course I did because the gift card only covered a portion of it but I asked him if he wasn't going to honor the gift card. He said that he was having an issue and that the person in charge wasn't there and wouldn't be back until tomorrow. I told him that it wasn't my problem and that he needed to call someone to figure it out. It took about 15 or so minutes for him to make whatever call he needed to make and figure it out. I don't mind that I had to wait. I had been patient already but he was rude about it and I didn't appreciate it. He ruined my dining experience and I don't think I will be back to this restaurant. The food was good. The Melrose salad was good, we enjoyed it. The entraña I ordered wasn't cooked to the specification I asked for but it was still good and enjoyed it with the mashed potatoes. The Sangria was delicious. The lava cake was not good. It was not cake at all but some other consistency and it lacked flavor. I would not get again. The server was okay, not terrible but not great either. Overall the experience at this establishment was not very good. This restaurant has lost its charm for me. I used to love this place, sadly I won't be going back. I hope they hire better staff and better management to run this restaurant that was once a great place to dine at.

My family and I are so excited that LALAs is back in this side of town. The place looks cool, modern with a playful ambiance. The food is as delicious as it was or even better. We didn't get to take much pictures as we were enjoying the whole experience : great seating, pan con chimichurri, and of course the red Sangria! , cheers. All the dishes were phenomenal! Want pictures, come and take a bite!! Today, we are experienced desserts, and do leave some room! Delicious

Don't cry for us Argentina.. we have Lala's here in Lala Land. Great food .. not greasy, not messy, muy excelente, como Messi!

Food was amazing and the strawberry margarita was out of this world. Ambiance was great and you can take ur fur baby with you sit in the patio. Our server Adrian was amazing as well as the hosts and runners. Top notch.

Always love to dine at Lalas. The Melrose location is amazing. The food and especially the service is outstanding.

Don't be put off by the plastic over the patio, the food here is excellent and so is the service. Get the croquetas.

The best Milanese . I'm glad they open the place again. Nice crew . Great food .nice ambience.
