Outstanding food. Clear flavors. Really fresh. Beautiful presentation. Excellent value for the overall quality. Our waiter was welcoming and friendly. Lovely dining room and indeed there is an alcove where we sat, very cozy. Upstairs for groups. The bathroom is very attractive and new. We were in Bayeaux 2 nights and I wish we had eaten here both nights.

Our lunch at this quaint Bayeux restaurant was simply delightful. The service and food were both impeccable, you could truly feel the owners' commitment to quality in every detail, right down to the fantastic bread sourced from a local boulangerie. It's no surprise they're a Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient; truly deserved! We were definitely happy we'd made our reservation in advance.

We absolutely loved our dinner at L'Alcove - it was one of our favorite meals during our 2-week vacation in France. Creative dishes, beautiful presentation, and wonderful service made this a dinner to remember! Loved the vegetarian options and wine selection! Would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Bayeux.

Four of us ate here in June at lunch time after a visit to the Tapestry. It is a very high quality but reasonably priced restaurant. we had the set lunch menu which did not disappoint. Portions are a little small but for me that's ok for lunch especially when there are 3 courses. The wine selection was also very good. We sat upstairs which was nicely quiet and were very well looked after. Highly recommend.

So glad we made reservations months ago. The prix fixe options were generous, creative and very delicious.

We had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant during a recent trip. They were actually recommended by our hotel who managed to get us an early reservation. Which is a very good idea on a Saturday night because it was packed by 8 o’clock. The interior is cute and quaint with a view of the cathedral. the wine list is extensive and handsomely written on chalkboards on an interior wall. Definitely take their recommendations. The food was an absolute star. Amazing dishes, my wife had a dessert that we’ve never seen before. This is elevated cuisine offered in a casual style. Definitely make this a stop when in Bayeux

The food was as beautiful as it was delicious. Truly a very special experience that my husband and I are so glad we could enjoy. Highly recommend!
