"Ready for a dose of French savoir-vivre in Berlin? You almost feel like you are in France here in the heart of Charlottenburg at Brasserie Lamazère thanks to its charming, down-to-earth and lively atmosphere. The regularly changing seasonal dishes are chalked up on the blackboard. You can put together your menu (starter, main, dessert) from a fine selection. They will be happy to recommend a good French wine pairing to accompany your food – the appealing and reasonably priced wine list is proprietor Régis Lamazère's passion." - Michelin Inspector

The 38 Best Berlin Restaurants | Eater

"Berlin’s robust French community means that most neighborhoods have a reputable brasserie dishing up steak frites and duck confit. Lamazère is at the top of that class. It’s little wonder, considering chef-owner Régis Lamazère was raised by a father who cooked at a two-Michelin-starred restaurant on the Champs-Élysées. He sticks to short menus, mixing brasserie staples like tartares with more novel dishes, often with plenty of meat and earthy flavors from mushrooms and herbs. There’s ample (and surprisingly affordable) fine French wine and a superb rice pudding for dessert." - Tim Forster

Truly excellent French bistro in the west, the staff is very well trained, knowledgeable and firm. I have been now twice once to buy take away wine (excellent place for Sundays for that) and for dinner at the bar with a friend, the quality of food and level of preparation is amazing and top notch! The tastes and flavors will blow your mind! The staff again is well versed and helpful glad to know this spot in the hood! Bravo 8 stars

Very disappointing service. We waited a long time for a dish to be served. The explanation of the dish felt like we were being done a huge favor. The appetizers weren't good. The fish was tasty, but the vegetables were burned. The place was very crowded, and the tables were very close to each other. It was our 2-year anniversary, but we didn't even want to stay for dessert. A big disappointment on such a special day.

The restaurant is cozy, offering a large selection of wines. The menu is brought on a chalkboard (expect different dishes when going there). We had the seared venison saddle, and have to say probably the best venison I've had in Berlin, the meat was succulent and flavorful. Highly recommend it if it's available. Our waiter was attentive and kind.

The culinary experience was a symphony of complex and flavorful dishes. The upfront offerings of baguette, olives, and ham were a delightful prelude to the meal. The staff's expertise in suggesting wine pairings added to the overall enjoyment. The meat and fish dishes come highly recommended, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality despite the compact menu. However, the downside was the tightly packed tables, diminishing privacy and allowing me to unintentionally eavesdrop on neighboring conversations.

Very packed place. You will hear multiple tables talking. Came here for our anniversary but disappointed with the atmosphere and service. Waited 45 mins for the mains. Service was below expectation in this price range. None of the finished plates were taken from the table no cutlery changes between courses. Food was okay. I would only suggest this place for a lunch if the prices and the service time was half as what it was.

Surprised by the quality and taste! The location and looks of small family restaurant, limited menu and a bit higher price - I was not expecting much. But whatever we tasted was perfect! I had not noticed at first the sticker saying that this place had Michelin start back in 2019... Update: visited several times already and every time is perfect. Unbeatable price for the 3 course menu and option to have a main dish for two makes it a great choice for the couples.

Absolutely delicious! A culinary experience not to be missed. Highly recommend. Some of the best food we have had in Germany. We got the pumpkinseed hummus, the wild prawn, the entrecôte and the rice pudding to share. So much food! With a bottle of wine our bill ended up $150 euros which overall was great value for money. Sadly we did misunderstand the price of the entrecôte so had a bit of bill shock (I feel like the wording could probably be better) however we can't complain because honestly great value and such fantastic taste. All the wait staff were very friendly and nice. Would definitely come back. The little extras like the shaved meat and fresh bread and mandolins were absolutely amazing too! Accept cash and card and allowed us to split the bill.

Google
An excellent French restaurant in Berlin. The food was exquisite, they had around five entrée choices and another four to five main course dishes to choose from. They change their menu every week. It’s a little pricey but worth every penny.

Yelp
Small, bustling, busy Brasserie. But gourmet, friendly, gourmet, lively, gourmet, creative, gourmet, unpretentious, gourmet, and with excellent, reasonably priced wines. And did I mention that cuisine is excellent? Tad Campion Boston

Yelp
Very nice brasserie over in freie westen. French cuisine prepared with heart. The bouchee a la rein puff pastry appetizer was phenomenal, melt in your mouth, explosion of richness. Filled with vegetables but bacon was definitely present. The sardine app was also nice, combined fried and marinated though I thought the pickled vegetables that came with it were too vinegary. If you like beef tartar you'll love their plat- delicious, sizable patty with a raw egg yoke on top, the way it should be. Comes with potatoes lyonnaise, roasted wedges with caramelized onions: addictive, crunchy and rich. The pork confit main was just a good - again quite rich, with a blood sausage, apple tart and plum mouse - an amazing sweet-savory combination. The lemon meringue ice cream is nice, creamy and smooth - I would have liked it a bit tangier but still good. The espresso was excellent as were the lemon madeleines- delicate and scrumptious. The wines are all French and if you don't know French wine it's hard to choose. The waitress recommended a rose that was half frizante, which was ok but wouldn't order it again. The service was good. Prices are more for a special occasion, though definitely worth it.

Yelp
My husband and I came here today for dinner. We had the king fish which was hard and tasteless. We left it and the waitress didn't ask if we liked it or not or why we left most of it uneaten. For the main dishes we had the braised beef and the pork. Both dishes took over 45 minutes to arrive. The pork was good, the braised beef was inedible. One part of the beef was hard and dry, the other was undercooked and chewy. The vegetables that came with the beef dish were good. A different waitress took out played after the main dish, she asked us if we liked the food, I told her we didn't she left and didn't ask any further questions. We also had dessert. We had the rice pudding, which was tasteless, and we had the fig tart tatin which was nice. Total: 80,50€ Would not come here again.

Yelp
Top notch restaurant. The chef can recommend wine to suit your dinner choices. Not a huge choice on the menu but absolute quality. Portion sizes are good so you can get 3 courses in. Great location and service. I shall return!!!!
