"Serving filet mignon and lobster risotto to tables draped in white tablecloths since 1985, Lambert’s is a stalwart of Taos fine dining. Chef James Crowther III is behind dishes like roasted Brussels sprouts, shishitos, and pancetta delicately dressed in chile-ponzu sauce and short ribs braised in espresso and red chile. The staff sommelier is a refined and rare treat in Taos. [$$$]" - Justin De La Rosa

We had dinner at Lambert’s during a recent visit to Taos, NM. The restaurant is in an old house close to the plaza downtown. It’s a very upscale place! For the most part, dinner was decent, but there were misses, some huge! I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention upfront that David was our waiter… he did a great job. From walking us through the menu, to assisting with our perusal of the extensive wine list, he was awesome! Thanks David! We started with a couple of cocktails, the El Damasco and a Nat’s Blue Cheese Martini… both were very good. With some apricot and cardamom, the El Damasco tasted a bit like Fall. And, how does one go wrong with blue cheese-stuffed olives in a Bombay martini?! The complimentary house bread and salted butter was a treat, however the butter was a bit too much on the salty side for our taste. We had the beef tartare appetizer, adorned with egg yolk and a Dijon sauce on the side. Very good. The dish came with homemade potato chips, which were very tasty, but again a bit heavy on the salt. We selected the saffron seafood pappardelle and the bison strip loin as our entrees. Both dishes were good! The pasta was fresh-made in-house, and cooked to a perfect al dente. Again, the over-salted problem was there. (that’s been an observation in earlier reviews, obviously still an issue!). The strip loin was grilled perfect medium-rare, and was delicious. We enjoyed a bottle of Gruet Sauvage sparkling wine, one of our favorites from NM! David brought the bottle out early in an ice bucket, and but pour time it was the perfect temperature. For dessert, we splurged and had the brownie sundae (vanilla ice cream, peanut mousse, salted caramel, chocolate), the pistachio-chocolate ice cream, and blackberry-pear sorbet. The sundae was great! The pistachio ice cream was a weird consistency, chewy and pasty, and lacked a specific flavor profile. Similarly, the sorbet was frozen, icy, and the flavors were lacking. Towards the end of the meal, the hostess took over, cleared the table, poured the rest of the wine and asked if there was anything else… very odd to be rushing us out of there when there were empty tables in our dining area! IMHO, at that price point, diners should not be rushed to the door. We were there less than two hours, certainly well within any acceptable norm for fine dining! So that’s the good, the bad and the ugly of our experience at Lambert’s. The restaurant is top-tier in Taos, but given the sub-par performance, there are plenty of other good places in the area. We don’t need to go back!

Absolutely adore this place. It is always an enchanting experience. Thanks Lamberts for making my birthday special. We will be back next time in Taos!

Google
The food and drinks were AMAZING!! We went here for our 30th anniversary. I had the Bison Tender Loin which was flavored and cooked to perfection and the carrot puree and broccolini were perfect compliments. The wife had King Salmon and it too was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We started with the Jumbo lump crab cake and was leery about the pimento cheese but after trying it it too as excellent! Wish I knew the Maitre D’s name but he was very accommodating and helpful. P.S. Make reservations for the dining room even on a Monday!!! The ambiance was phenomenal dining with the apple trees made for a perfect anniversary dinner. If ever in Taos this is a must on your bucket list and I know we will be back.

Unique dining experience. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The menu was so diverse. We enjoyed the bison relleno and presentation of all our food. Drinks were fantastic as well.

Had a wonderful anniversary dinner here. Everything was delicious and a great wine list. If you are looking for a top tier meal in an intimate setting with excellent service then check them out.

Food was excellent! Great atmosphere. Service was exemplary, thanks to Joe. Compliments to the chefs! Wonderful experience if you're ever in Taos!

This was a very special, unique experience. The atmosphere is very intimate. The sections of the restaurant and very small and closed in. My partner and I didn't realize how upsclae this place was. You'll feel more comfortable if you dress really well.. We ordered the carrot bisque and roasted beet salad for starters. The bisque was spicy, but delicious! Beet salad was good. Bread and butter with roasted garlic were fabulous! As the main, my partner and I both shared the special scallop dish and Regal Crest Farms Chicken Breast. The food was cooked to perfection. The vegetables were fantastic. I would highly recommend both dishes.

Google
I don’t usually order chicken, but the ingredients for the dish sounded interesting. It came with quinoa, corn, asparagus, raisins, tomato, and a pear morstarda. It was tender and delicious. I could have eaten the toppings by themselves. My husband had the saffron pappardelle with crab and prawns and house made pasta which was equally good. They made us some outstanding gin and tonics also.

Yelp
We did not have reservations so we went upstairs to the bar. We enjoyed drinks & dinner. Food was delicious, service was great and the ambiance was rustic but still sophisticated. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Taos.

Yelp
Fabulous from start to finish. Stone fruit salad with fresh thin-sliced peaches and goat cheese, bison strip loin cooked perfectly to medium rare with carrot puree and broccolini, sweet salty toffee carrot cake and whipped cream for dessert. Two glasses of sparkling rose and a nice decaf espresso finished it off. They welcomed my service dog, brought her water in a real bowl, and let her eat homemade vanilla ice cream out of a real bowl for dessert. (She helped me eat the bison and broccolini.) Beautifully appointed setting; unobtrusive, smart service. My dog and I will be returning.

Yelp
Great service at one of the few decent restaurants open on Monday. I enjoyed three exquisite Colorado lamb chops searingly brushed with a subtle mint glaze atop yummy farro-based greens. My date enjoyed the Miso-Chili chicken dish. I wasn't that impressed with the selection of beer or wines by the glass however.

Yelp
It's Saturday night. My husband and I were on a beautiful road trip, starting from California. We arrived in the beautiful city of Taos and had reservations at Lamberts, which was very highly recommended. To make a long story short it was a complete disaster. We arrived early for our 7:00 reservations. We went upstairs to have a drink until our reservation was ready. Everything was great. We proceeded downstairs and we were seated immediately. It took a while before a waitress asked us for a drink, but that was ok because we figured it was a crowded Sat nite. After that we ordered our salad and dinner. We waited 45 min and questioned the waitress as to the delay. She was extremely snippy and said " do you want to cancel?" I couldn't believe what she asked and said "What'? She repeated do you want to cancel? I said are you kidding? I'm telling you u that I want to know where the salad was. At that point I asked to speak to a manager. We waited and the manager never came. My husband and I were so turned off at that point we got up to leave. As we did we asked for the manager, she was the woman seating guests. We explained what had happened and all she did was defend the waitress by claiming that the we asked to slow the meal down. That was a complete fabrication! We left. I am so disappointed and quite honestly angry that our night was ruined. We left having no dinner and hungry. As a new traveler to your city I am disgusted and disappointed at the way this was handled. I blame the manager even more than the waitress who should have been able to find a solution to our problem.

Yelp
This review is for Lambert's Treehouse Lounge, which we thought was exceptional. You can order many of the same menu items as in the dining area but we decided to bore in on cocktails and enjoy a relaxing vibe, which the Treehouse provided, along with much more. The bread service was excellent in quality and choice--you want the cheese dip too, while we really liked the crunchy fresh salads. Highly recommend the mezcal Martinez, so refreshing and creative. Big pours too. Service is great--not pushy. And the servers worked as a team, another plus. Great way to relax and enjoy historic Taos

Yelp
We had reservations for Christmas Eve. The menu was a special menu with limited selections. We shared the bowl of butternut squash lobster bisque. It might be the best bisque I have ever had. It was silky with a generous serving of lobster. Absolutely delicious start with the warm house made sourdough bread served with whipped butter with sea salt flakes. For our main, we shared two entrees, the Scottish salmon over kale with mostarda. The salmon was cooked to a perfect medium which was the recommended temperature preparation. The salmon was served with a crispy skin and the greens and mostarda were delicious. The second entree we shared was a seafood tagliatelle pasta with cream sauce. The dish was perfectly prepared with al dente pasta, perfectly cooked seafood and a rich delicious cream sauce. For dessert, we shared the special trifle which was very good as well, especially with a great up of black coffee. This is our second visit to Lambert's and the service, food and atmosphere were perfect. We will definitely be back as this is one of our favorite special occasion restaurant.

Yelp
This was a really nice meal. I had a small table in one of the side rooms. My waitress was attentive and came back often to refill my water glass and ask how I was doing. I started with the Kale Salad: bacon/ red onion (I held this)/ heirloom tomato/ golden raisin/ gorganzola/ apple butter vinaigrette. Really tasty salad. Loved all the toppings and the dressing was great. For entree, I had the Maple Leaf Farms Duck Breast: red lentil mash/ cherry braised cabbage/ port wine reduction. I really enjoyed the duck and all the sides. The duck overall was cooked well. A few pieces tasted off but overall it was good. Loved the cabbage and mash underneath. For dessert, I had the fruit cobbler with peach & champange sorbet instead of the normal vanilla ice cream. This was really tasty. Lots of berries and a nice biscuit on top. The sorbet was flavorful too. Overall a really nice meal. Good food and service.

Yelp
Outstanding bar, food and drinks. One of two of the best restaurants in Taos. Definitely a must visit while in town. We enjoyed our evening. You won't find another bar in town as nice as Lambersts.

Yelp
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! Subpar dinner, unpleasant experience. This restaurant came highly recommended. We were expecting it to be a highlight of our short getaway trip in Taos so we came ready to enjoy it! We found it to be a mix of very bad with some good, all attached to a too bill and frustration. DRINKS: We started with a signature Manhattan and a Margarita. They asked me if i wanted the classic Margarita, "sweet and sour". As i had the classic many times, in different cities/states, i said yes. Well, the drink was so extremely sour, as if the main ingredient was lime juice. Impossible to drink. I asked for some simple syrup, but they offered instead that i would upgrade for the Margarita with Grand Magnier added . I did and that was good, but I think anything offered on the menu should be enjoyable, or not offered at all, if not up to par. As APPETIZERS we had: 1. BEEF TARTAR - not bad. There are so many versions of this dish so we stay open minded when we order this dish. This beef tartar was not bad. The Aioli didn't have a taste of Dijon, and we could not trace any smoked olives - which was ok as we don't expect olives with this dish. We have never tartar not served with crostini or grilled slices of bread - a needed, perfect medium to carry the beef tartar. This one was accompanied by chips, which, while they were nice, crusty, light and not greasy, they really didn't work with the tartar, besides being extremely salty. 2. GRILLED OCTOPUS I LOVE grilled octopus! Grilled on the outside, tender meat inside . Well, this one was INEDIBLE! BURNT outside (see pics) - bitter and hard. I have never experienced it so, in the many places in US or other countries where i had it. The fact that, when i reported it inedible, showing the black, burnt pieces of meat, I was told that grilled octopus should be charred, took away any confidence i had in this establishment. I opted for another beef tartar as substution. MAINS: 1. FILLET MIGNON, served with potatoes, grilled asparagus and crispy leek To my (pleasant) surprise, it was done to perfection. As we expected the whole meal to be. Medium-rare and tender, nice red wine reduction, asparagus tender, but with a bite to it. 2. PAPARDELLE BOLOGNESE: Flavorful dish, ample portion. The carrots in the sauce were undercooked, very al dente - which they should not be - but that didn't stop us from enjoying the dish. WINE: We both had Argentinian Malbec with our main dishes, which was very nice. BREAD AND BUTTER Home made bread and butter, served with the main dish: Fresh bread and butter is always a nice touch! That's always served first, as couvert, sometimes with a cost associated, sometimes not, but served only if desired, so that waste is avoided. In this case, bread is served with the main dish. The reason for that escapes us as main dishes always contain a starch of some sort. Nevertheless, a nice touch. Unfortunately, the love affair of the restaurant with salt continued as the butter was too heavily salted. We were able to scrape some off the surface of the butter and enjoyed a bit of that offering. (Note: I like things on the saltier side) DESSERT: We decided to share an APPLE PIE, served with HOMEMADE ICECREAM. Terrible! First, being served with icecream, one would expect the pie to be hot, ar at least warm. This one was cold. The taste was not something resembling apple and the appearance and texture was so dence, more like a brownie. Very, very strange! The ice cream was not soft and creamy, but (looking and tasting) more crumbly, with tiny crystals of ice. This dish, as executed, should not be presented in any restaurant at all, more so in one considered upscale. Overall, we were extremely disappointed. In the few days of a vacation, having a bad dinner, with a high cost, is not something that anybody would look to include in their experiences. Making a stronger point on the unexpected, unacceptable quality of the dishes, and spoiling our evening even further, was not something we felt comfortable doing. On top of it, we were presented with the moral conundrum of expressing our opinion on the meal through the tip, at the expense of the serving personnel, which would not have been fair either. So we chose not to shortcut the lady serving us, though her standing by the black-burnt octopus threw me off. With tip, we spent close to $300 for an awful dinner and awful evening! Never again!! If back in Taos, we would gladly go again to Love Apple, Aji and Antonio's - which were all great! Great food and great service, nice ambiance in the first two, special touch from owner on the food at Antonio's. Rating 5 stars all these 3 restaurants.

Yelp
WoW....Soooooo delicious.....high quality with the cute decoration...We enjoyed our food specially the fish the most. Everything was great to make our experience perfect. The waiter who helped us was super professional...He went above and beyond to explain everything. I had the feeling that im at Paris in one pf those high end luxury restaurants that needs further academic training to be a host. Im a fish lover and world traveler and Im strong believer that this fish was the best fish that i ate ....Thank you....

Yelp
Wonderful service. Great food. Great location and ambiance. I would recommend this restaurant in Taos!

Yelp
Came here for a dinner with my partner on our visit to Taos and absolutely loved the vibe and their service. We didn't have a reservation when we arrived but were able to get a table for two. In terms of food, we went for the gnocchi which was delicious and flavorful although the vegetarian options did seem a tad limited Our servers were really friendly and courteous.

Lisa Y.

Yelp
We walked into Lambert's at 4:45 p.m. on a Sunday after hiking all afternoon and we were told we could be seated at 5 p.m. when they opened. We were starving so this made me so happy! We were seated on the patio, which was nice with trees and semi-shady. Great ambience, warm and quiet. We ordered the brussel sprouts with bacon as an appetizer and that was tasty. We moved onto dinner. I ordered the filet mignon with a lobster tail, asparagus and mashed potatoes. My partner ordered the halibut over polenta with spinach. Our waiter was a nice gentleman who was attentive, friendly, informative, and overall a wonderful waiter.

Kindred M.

Yelp
We loved eating at Lambert's. Service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Loved every bite. Atmosphere was intimate and inviting. I would recommend going here for dinner when in Taos

Hillary P.

Yelp
This restaurant is located just off of the main square in Taos. Parking is available however, it can be tight. This quiet yet elegant restaurant is freshly renovated with individual dining rooms that are cozy and intimate. We had reservations which are highly recommended for prime time dining hours. We had a nice table in a little nook. Our server was pleasant and informed us of all the daily specials that change regularly on top of their normal menu. We enjoyed their special of wild boar in one of the standard menu items of the filet mignon. Both were cooked to perfection. There is an extensive wine list and a full bar available for cocktails. The dessert was wonderful and creative. This restaurant can be a little bit pricier than some in the area however, it is well worth the splurge. I highly recommend that you you check out this restaurant if you happen to be in the area.

Jorgi R.

Yelp
Super wonderful meal! Everything from start to finish was spectacular, including the service. Loved my wine, my food and the atmosphere. Decided taking a shuttle from the hotel here as I don't think they have a parking lot. Will definitely return!

Frank N.

Yelp
I rarely give a five star review, but our dinner at Lamberts was outstanding. Smoked burrata and beet salad, followed by main dishes of black garlic miso marinated chicken, and braised pork shank were all excellent. Cocktails were expertly made. Service was friendly and professional, and the ambience, from the lighting to the background music was perfect. It's busy for a reason so make a reservation. Several hopeful walk-in parties were turned away as we were waiting to be seated. Looking forward to a return visit!

Rhonda B.

Yelp
Service was very slow. Charged for an item we did not get. However, music was great. Historical building

Donna D.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Lambert's very much a special occasion establishment. Pricy with beautiful plate presentation 4 oz filet was delicious. Also lamb was outstanding We had appetizers entree and one dessert. Quaint cozy. Nice to hv a change from SW food which is also excellent almost 90.00 plus per person. Would return.

David B.

Yelp
The setting, as always, excellent, as was the service. The main menu is quite limited and really, not very interesting: a couple chicken dishes, steak dish, and fish dishes. nothing really seems special. The prices were spectacularly high, and when you combine that with the size of the portions, such as the halibut it is quite discouraging. The halibut portion was barely enough for one, comes with nothing else, and is around 40+ dollars. I find it hard to justify that kind of price even though there has been some inflation.

Alan S.

Yelp
For the price this was a seriously disappointing meal. We sat upstairs in the informal dining bar area, with a wonderfully kind waiter. Our food was a good calamari starter, then one nice shrimp risotto, good but somewhat bland, and two steaks, one rare and delicious the other medium and poor and lacking in taste, with fries that were awful, inedibly overcooked to the point of char and highly oversalted.

Avram L.

Yelp
Just shoot for the stars if it feels right And aim for my heart if you feel like it Take me away and make it okay I swear I'll behave... Lambert's of Taos, shined with a spectacular responsive warm service...The Plates we shared of "Bison Rellenos" w. a most delicious melt in your mouth braised short rib with chile spices; "Truffle Fries" with roasted garlic and a most succulently prepared "Grimaud Farm Duck Breast"...with cranberries and a black garlic demi glace/"sauce"... Lambert's rocks..:) Kiss me 'til you're drunk and I'll show you all the moves like Jagger... I've got the moves like Jagger..:) Best, Avram Marunefive Jr.

Alona Y.

Yelp
From spotless silverware, glasses, white maps, beautiful decor, professional service, the most amazing food made to perfection! The steaks, the salads, even the water was top quality. When we read the one star review we reached one conclusion - that's a personal vendetta or an extremely disgruntled mean person.

Zoe K.

Yelp
***RESERVATIONS A MUST*** **CLOSED TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAYS /OPEN @ 4:30-7PM THU-MON** *AVAILABILITY AT THE UPSTAIRS BAR AREA IF YOU'RE LUCKY* (Assuming you are there in this season 9/22) Allison, our server, was awesome at helping us choose our dishes. But everyone is wonderful. Yes, the menu is seasonal which means the pictures may already be outdated and everything on the menu is different.... But that's a good thing because everything is seasonal! So yum right?? Beautiful restaurant (it's an old house so really kewl) of course music in the air and super low romantic lighting throughout this gorgeous adobe old world aesthetic place. A true Taos gem!

Joy Q.

Yelp
What I liked: Drinks, friendly service, unique and romantic vibe, beautiful presentation of food - The pulled pork burger with fries - bison relleno - beet salad What I didn't like: Though ingredients were fresh, some flavors were off and didn't take advantage of the combination on fancy ingredients. - leek soup: too salty - squash entree: the biggest disappointment of the night. overpriced and tasted like canned beans and salt (maybe try different seasoning next time to make sure you take advantage of the squash and mushroom since they are both flavorful veggies with strong potential?) this dish gave a poor portion of mushrooms and squash and was not worth it at all. Chicken breast added was over cooked

Cesar Y.

Yelp
Ive been going to Lambert's over many years. The last two experiences have been excellent, previous ones were good as well but i had not written a review. The service and food was on point. We had a very pleasant experience. Will return soon.

Non D.

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious. Great venue and service was informed and attentive. Ate inside but patio and treehouse bar look lovely too.

James K.

Yelp
Food was average at best and overpriced. Service was acceptable but disappointed with the food quality

Anne H.

Yelp
Higher end dining experience that left me questioning some decisions. Firstly, our server Jeff was excellent and working two separate dining areas without missing a beat. The outdoor patio we dined at was quaint, white table cloths, outdoor lighting. Cozy and intimate if you wanted but not pretentious. The menu is a nice choice of appetizers, salads and mains. I had the duck confit with puréed carrot and red lentil, asparagus salad. The duck was perfect. The carrot and salad sort of ran in to one another and the flavors got muddied to me. I was also expecting the salad to have distinguishable asparagus in it, but the asparagus was blended in to the vinaigrette. It became a texture thing that lost me. Overall, I think Lambert's is doing a good job. I would go back and make more inquiries on the menu.

Samantha B.

Yelp
Everything was amazing. We got the beat salad, seafood pasta, and a Malbec. We also recommend the spreads with the bread!! Great service

Jamie J.

Yelp
Went to Taos to snowboard, left Taos with a new favorite restaurant! Food was great, waitress was wonderful and the ambiance was perfect!

Phil L.

Yelp
As lovers of good food and wine, my wife and I have suffered a loss of faith in the restaurants of our hometown, Taos, a small village but a huge tourist destination. Between Covid, staff shortages, turnover and reduced hours, our options here have waned, our enthusiasm nil. Until last night. From the moment we stepped into Lamberts, situated in an old historic home in the heart of town, we felt welcome and warm. The staff is amazing, from front desk to servers to kitchen staff, working under the helm of Chef James Crowther. I went in beat, exhausted from a day that had started at 3 am. I knew that I wanted the Osso Buco, but I turned myself over to our server on the question of wine and she nailed it with a big, round California red. Kind, friendly AND smart?! Yay! The Osso Buco was a dream come true, braised unto velvety sweetness. My wife chose the crab cakes. She's a child of the Atlantic Seaboard, and she knew that James is too, so she was pretty excited about getting a taste of home. These were perfect. And so it went, right on through desert and a final sip of Sambuca. A perfect night. And a busy Friday, but syncopated and smooth. Sincere thanks to everyone at Lamberts for bringing us back to a fundamental pleasure in life.

Dianna S.

Yelp
Our last night in Taos ended with a lovely dinner at Lambert's in the historic downtown. A quaint little place. The small dining room we were in was packed with tables, all full, so hope you like people! LOL For the starter, we tried the Deconstructed Elote, which was corn, brown butter, cilantro chile aioli and cotija on a plate. I've had other varieties before; this one wasn't my favorite but it was still good. My entree was the Filet Mignon served with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. This dish was a very good portion size for me - I was able to eat everything, which I rarely do. Steak was cooked perfectly. It was topped with a mole demi-glace - incredibly rich and wonderful! My husband went for the Poussin (chicken) and waffle on top of bacon braised greens. He said it was very good. Buttermilk breading was crunchy although it could be a bit more seasoned for his taste. Surprisingly, the waffle was delicious! Not expected to be the star of the show, ya know?! All was drizzled with a peach habanero sauce, which had that amazing sweet heat combo. The collard greens were more vinegar-y than smoky bacon but they were good as well. Overall, a nice end to a fantastic vacation. Our server did a great job. For sure we would go back one day.

Leone M.

Yelp
The food was fantastic. Our server was terrific. We came in later in the evening after the dinner rush and enjoyed our meal. Really liked the beet salad ! The Fried Calamari was not greasy or oily ! Would eat here again.

Yelp
Perfect service by Joe - we weren't super hungry and wanted to share dishes with a party of 4- not a problem at all. Love the ambience and the food was fresh and delicious. One of our favorite low key places in Taos- highly recommend

Yelp
We went there on a Saturday (8/20/2023) dinner. We were told there was a 20 minute wait so we went to the bar in order to drink. My wife doesn't drink alcohol so I ordered a Mocktail and the bartender who had a mohawk copped an attitude. I let it slide for a while, and we went upstairs and Got great service, we went down and ate. The lamb dish was pretty good, but the seafood pasta was just OK considering the price, it was disappointing. After talking with my wife, it seem like the bartender that gave us bad service. In the beginning, was discriminating against her, we will be filing a complaint .

Yelp
Came here for an anniversary, and we were not disappointed. To start the bread and butter was deliciously salty and yummy. My wife had the filet mignon and I had the halibut, both were amazing paired with a glass of wine!

Yelp
Y'all all know this is my #1 favorite restaurant. And no review is going to do it any justice. Just like local red & green "Christmas chili" and Sir Sean Connery, there can be only one. When I was in the range of like 900 miles away & under I could usually make it there for dinner in my Batman mobile! Birthday's, holidays, Christmas, celebrating anything, "lets go to Lamberts in Taos." Sadly, I'm now on a secret mission at the Beach in Florida & can not drive there quickly enough, need something fast-er. (Holding out for the zero gravity craft the black op's have been hiding from us) The duck with the house made cavatelli is one of the greatest dishes You will ever have. I have had it many times. Best duck dish I have ever had in my life. Still! The Moroccan stuffed chicken is a wonderfully creative dish that elevates chicken to a more superior level. Me thinks you should change the name of it to "Peacock chicken" one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had in my life, still. Hubby loves the Pappardelle with filet so much, Like a good pirate, I completely stole it & make it at home now for me hearty when he starts a cravin it, along with the roasted garlic, warm French bread & whipped butter. Pirates are fond of living in luxury ;) The beet salad, a work of art. The charcuterie a culinary work of art also. All TOPS! The wine list is incredible. The happy hour in the Tree house is incredible. 3 years later, We STILL talk about the warm olives.. The ambiance is incredible. The culinary staff & service is incredible... However, you might as well be serving it at the freakin North Pole! Not so easy to get to by boat up the Rio Grande... (operation dinner out Taos a go) Soon as I get clearance for my new twin engine I will be flying over. Save me my regular table under the orange feathers. Love you always & forever. I'll be back with a clap of thunder. XOXO

Yelp
Lydia and Lucy gave my family, especially my kids great service, especially since my kids are shy in public places. They are both great with kids so if your a family with kids, ask for these two ladies.

Yelp
Love this place have been coming to this beautiful building since I was a kid and it was the apple tree. Yesterday I experienced a bizarre disheartening encounter with a hot headed extremely combative male waiter with tied back brown hair that was recently hired making accusations to a lovely friendly couple visiting from metropolitan Texas apart of the lgbtq community. I was in shock how this man accosted these visitors, it being their first time in Taos and were excited to try lamberts out since they heard great things about it ( had a lovely conversation with them while I was waiting to be seated). He accused them of pushing him and when I was walking up the stairs I saw him trip before heading down the stairs, to where the couple was already sitting...... The food is good, drinks are good and the ambience is great, the happy hour is the best deal for this somewhat pricy menu fyi, but I'm baffled on how this person can be apart of the lamberts staff and treat innocent humans like this. Being a Taos local, born and raised, I personally wouldn't want my establishment to employ anyone who throws mania and aggression around like he was to guests. We want to bring more people to Taos to help drive the economy up in tourism!!! It was scary how he looked at the couple and the comments he was making, like you better watch out. Everyone was lovely in the place, but it put a bad taste in my mouth for how this place could have anyone apart of the waitstaff treat people like this!!!

Yelp
we ordered appetize and never received. Order Risotto and it had 2 medium shrimp and it took 45 minutes to get it. it costs $54 and was not worth it. I was very disappointed. We thought it would be great. Not so good for the cost. They barely check in on us. We sat for at least 30 minutes waiting for our meal. This is not okay.

Yelp
Service was stellar and food was even better. I had the beet salad, plenty to share, and the seafood spaghetti. Housemade pasta with a delicious, light tomato sauce, topped with large shrimp and a lobster tail. Fabulous! Best meal I've had in a long time!

Yelp
Amazing food and amazing service from our waitress Alex. Everything from appetizers to our entrées were delicious. The restaurant is set in an old adobe style home and is very stylish. Very romantic, recommend for all special dates and even impromptu date nights. Would go back again.

Yelp
Excellent dining and a wonderful quirky bar upstairs for casual drinks and snacks. Once of my two favorite restaurants in Taos. Long-time owner takes pride in the business and it shows.

Yelp
This review is for the treehouse bar above the main restaurant. We had a great experience there with everything from the service, to the atmosphere, to the music, and if course, to the food! We had several small plates and shared a main course. The trout deviled eggs with a pickled jalapeño slice on top were a highlight, and the house-made pasta with peas and pesto sauce was fresh, colorful, and reeaaallly tasty! My husband had a refreshing mock tail, and my martini with blue cheese stuffed olives hit the spot with the meal perfectly. I recommend popping into this charming bar for a bite and a cocktail. I honestly don't know anyplace that would top this in my "foodie" hometown.
