My wife and I had a great meal here. Chicken Piccata and the chicken Marsala were top notch. We shared a slice of lemon cake for desert and it was light and delicious. It’s always a nice touch for the owner of a restaurant to stop by each table to make sure his patrons are happy and satisfied. Our waiter Larry provided great service and always kept our glasses full.

Google
Very goof service! Food was excellent and prices are very reasonable. Not over priced. They had two guys playing guitar in the bar area very nice atmosphere.! Would Come again. Food was great. Got house salad and loved it. Cocktails and wine were good. Easy to park and get to. Would recommend reservations as the place gets busy.

Google
This is a wonderful local spot with owners actively involved even when they probably no longer have to be. This was the first time for my wife and I and it was an amazing experience! We sat at the bar and had the cannelloni enter special and Caprese salad. The food was top notch, including the bread. The live music adds a nice touch, too. Both bartenders were great. Madison was a bundle of positive energy, engaging and down to earth. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
Had an amazing date night at L’Amore with my girlfriend. The atmosphere was warm and romantic, our waiter was fantastic, and the food was top-tier. The seafood was fresh and flavorful, the veal and pasta were incredible, and the drinks hit the spot. Easily one of the best Italian spots in Phoenix—we’ll definitely be back.

Google
Ate at this restaurant on Valentine's Day weekend in the year 2020. Food is of excellent quality. I had the Gnocchi with Alfredo sauce. The atmosphere of the restaurant is an intimate and family vibe great for a romantic dinner or family meal night. The staff is very professional and polite with excellent service. The quality taste of the food and atmosphere of the restaurant is definitely worth the price per plate. Highly recommend, if you are a foodie, wanting to have an intimate dinner with family or your significant other or just love to eat great quality food.

Google
Made a reservation online and mentioned it was a birthday celebration. Mentioned it once again in person when we arrived. Nothing was done for my wife to celebrate her birthday…she was definitely disappointed. Food was good not great. Paid $150 for three people before tip.

I have to say I really enjoyed my dinner night here at L'amore. The service was great! Austin was our server and he was superb. The ambiance with live music was so welcoming with dinner. Oh and the food was absolutely delicious! I mean it. I enjoyed the appetizer to the entree. This is a great place to go for date night or dinner. The owners are on deck and mingle and welcome all. This is one of the Italian restaurants that I will be visiting again. Date night, dinner or just out with friends. Try it...you'll like it!

Very nice Italian place, owner is very friendly even coming to the table to great customers. If craving authentic Italian food this is the place to go!

Yelp
Ordered the manicotti and the chicken piccata. Excellent, flavorful and one of the best Italian meals I've had since moving here. We will be regulars!

Yelp
Nestled in a little plaza near the Phoenix Mountain Preserve is this gem! We truly loved our experience here. The restaurant is decently sized-- with half of it being reserved for dining and the other half for bar seating. We had reservations and were seated in the dining area, and were greeted with the sounds of live music in the bar area. That truly made the experience top notch for me! Our server was friendly and prompt, and explained the specials in great detail. It was obvious his passion for the restaurant and dishes that were served as he promised you couldn't go wrong with anything you ordered. Upon ordering we received fresh bread and butter and it was perfectly crunchy on the outside and warm & soft on the inside. Didn't get a picture because we ate it so fast! I wasn't feeling pasta that night (shame on me lol) so I opted for a chicken Caesar. It was amazing! The croutons were seasoned to perfection and I enjoyed the thinly sliced chicken. A Caesar salad is so simple yet some restaurants still get it wrong. That was not the case here! My husband went for the lasagna bolognese and the sauce was the most incredible bolognese I've ever had! I will definitely be back to order that for myself! All their dessert options sounded amazing, but we opted for the flourless chocolate cake. It was so rich and decadent and the perfect little slice for us two to share. Our server even brought a Kahlua caramel sauce that was served with a different dessert for us to try. Dare I say our new favorite Italian spot?! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Love this place, old school Italian. Best bread and the marinara sauce so good! I need to try something other than the Cioppino, it's just so good I keep getting it!

Yelp
Came in on a Tuesday night for a Galentine's dinner. L'Amore has great reviews and our friend had heard great things. Our server seemed extremely uncomfortable all night. Seemed annoyed when we asked him to repeat a special, didn't remember who had ordered what, dropped the bill and immediately turned his back. FYI they don't split checks. The drinks list was clearly intended to be a holiday cocktails special sheet but was still offered in February. Which Gives the impression of little thought or effort. Ordered the partridge in a pear tree and it was so sweet I couldn't drink it. Traded with a friend who got the cranberry blitzen and that was boozy and not sweet at all. The soup was good but it just tasted like store bought chicken noodle soup with rice instead of noodles. The eggplant parmesan was far from any other I've ever had. It didn't have a breaded coating, it was smothered in sauce with some cheese, and was on a huge bed of spinach. The flavor wasn't bad but it wasn't prepared the way eggplant parmesan usually is and it also was not cooked... the eggplant was still hard. It was very busy/crowded so maybe the kitchen was rushing to push orders out? The owner did come by once and I did see him scanning and seemed present. Overall: Not sure what all the hype is about?

Yelp
First time dining at this longstanding gem and we were thrilled. Lovely ambiance, friendly & helpful staff and delicious food. We enjoyed the filet mignon carpaccio, cioppino, and ricotta gnocchi with a meatball, plus the tiramisu to cap it off. We lived in SF for years so it was a treat to have such a delightful taste of the Bay Area in the cioppino. The owner Greg is a warm and friendly host and will likely stop by to say hi.

Carlos D.

Yelp
I decided to invite relatives to eat hehe and the service was poor and the food was cold. We were very disappointed. One visit was enough. Never again!
google avatar

Misty B.

Yelp
Service was beautiful and so amazing.. I do recommend the food is delicious. What I like about it is that my best friend and I were walk-ins and it was busy and instead of turning us away... They said stay and watch for people to get up from the bar. And literally, we only waited 10 minutes for that to happen.

Yelp
My family went to the WM Open and afterwards and we decided to try L'Amore in Scottsdale. I have to say, it was a truly unforgettable experience. The ambiance was warm and welcoming from the moment I stepped inside. The staff was friendly and attentive. My dish, the cheesy tortellini in Alfredo sauce. It was amazing. I had to take a picture of how cheesy it was, and also, to show the quality of pictures my Samsung takes. If you're a fan of classic Italian comfort food, this cheesy tortellini in Alfredo sauce is a must try. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Just can't get enough of this place. The Friday evening guitarists are wonderful. Greg and his staff do such good job. We prefer sitting at the bar. Food was amazing. See you again soon!

Yelp
A girlfriend & I have been on the lookout for the best Italian food in Scottsdale or Phoenix area. We were so excited when we came across L'Amore. The pictures looked great & reviews are solid. So we anticipated we were in for a treat. We made reservations & were greeted & seated promptly by a nice young gentleman. Our sever came over to take our drink order. He was an older gentleman & wasn't friendly or attentive at all. We received our drinks & wanted to place an appetizer he didn't come around for almost 30-40 minutes. We finally were able to get his attention & ask if we could order an appetizer & entrees. He seemed annoyed. We started with the calamari & it was good. We then ordered our mains. We got the gnocchi with the ala vodka sauce & chicken Parmesan. They were both horrible! The gnocchi was the worst gnocchi I've ever had it was probably something from a frozen section. The chicken was at least edible. Our server never once came to ask how anything was I took a few bites of the gnocchi and pushed it aside as it's not worth eating. We decided to get our bill and headed out to Eddie V's for dessert & drinks. Don't waste your time we eating here we could have gone to Olive Garden & received better food & service.

Yelp
We decided to try this restaurant for our son's birthday. We ordered 2 appetizers for the table: the beef carpaccio was frozen, and the calamari was tough and rubbery. My fish special entree was overcooked and tasted terrible. The other entrees at the table were described as mediocre at best by the other guests. The server was somewhat responsive, but was very dismissive when we sent back 2 items. We will never eat at this place again!

Zoey A.

Yelp
The food is fucking incredible. The service from David is impeccable. Me and my boyfriend met David at Casey Moore's, and we were recommended L'Amore and we are absolutely obsessed. The staff is incredibly friendly and we are excited to become regulars.

Catlain R.

Yelp
This is a great Italian spot. Everything we had tasted homemade, right down to the salad dressing. The food was fresh, simple, and done right. Service was excellent--our server was on top of everything without hovering. What really stood out was the owner taking the time to visit with guests. You can tell he cares about the place and the people in it.

Julie P.

Yelp
I'm not sure if I went to a different restaurant or what but our experience was awful . Every single thing we had from appetizer to our 3 entrees was tough with no flavor . The lasagna was just a stack of noodles on a plate of mediocre meat sauce . The veal was the toughest I've ever had , the whole point of veal is to be soft and buttery . This is the first time I've had my fellow diners saying their mouths tasted so bad after they needed mints . And that isn't hyperbole. I wish I had those calories back

Yelp
This is the best Italian I have found in AZ. The service was impeccable, and just for that I would come back every week. I loved the dining area as it was quaint and gave a nice family feel. They were attentive, friendly, and treated us so well. I had the eggplant parm with angel hair, it was TO DIE FOR!! I couldn't believe how good it was. Best I've ever had- and that's coming from a fellow New Yorker!!! I love it here and have told all of my friends to go experience it themselves.

Yelp
We have been dining at L'Amore for many years and have recommended the restaurant often. The food, ambiance, & staff were always excellent, and prices were fair. Last week were at L'Amore & brought guests. We ordered the specials mentioned by the waiter, Sea Bass and Cannelloni; he did not mention the prices. Both meals were good. When we got the bill, we learned that the sea bass was $60, and the cannelloni was $40. We paid the bill but found these prices very out of line with the usual prices. We were annoyed that the waiter did not inform us of the high prices of the items when we ordered. I am sorry to say that we cannot continue to recommend L'Amore and sadly not be returning to eat at L'Amore again.

Yelp
Had such an amazing dinner here ! The owner is super friendly and checked on us multiple times. The staff is super sweet and friendly! Food was amazing and delicious and the lighting was perfect. There was live music when we came and it was incredible ! 50/10 !!!

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and authentic Italian. The mood, the food, and the drinks were superb. On a scale of 1-5 I will give it a 10.
google avatar

Ethan S.

Yelp
The food was delightful. I got the chicken parm (a classic) and it was well crafted from an Italian chef in the back, that I know. The service shinned bright. My waiter got me multiple wines to taste before I eventually made my decision. Finally the ambiance was lovely and majestic. Perfect for a date or family

Yelp
Great restaurants like this are a special find and we found it by leaving the property where we were staying all week and finding this jewel. Lovely people own it and work there.

Yelp
Was really excited to try this place, but should've read more reviews. Started out with an excellent shrimp scampi, then downhill from there. The house salad was a sham, equivalent to a vinaigrette salad you'd get on a flight. The veal Marsala was not breaded and chewy from being over cooked, all while swimming in a watery sauce. The side pasta marinara tasted like a pasta at elementary school, served with cold wet vegetables haha what was that? My partner got the halibut that was so dry like it never came out of an ocean and only swam in the desert sands. The side was the blandest pasta we've ever had, I don't think the pasta water was even seasoned. I am posting this review solely because the prices are ridiculous for what you get. Don't bother, go to North Italia or Olive Garden haha.

Yelp
The best food and service and so cozy. Yummy food and I like the lighting of the restaurant. Also nice seating area and I like that the owner was around the restaurant. I love the live music and cute lights.

Yelp
We were in town for a board meeting and L'amore was able to accommodate a large group (we had 18!) Located at the end of shopping complex, L'amore offers indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated inside. I opted for the short rib risotto special. The short rib was braised and shredded easily. The flavor was sweet and tangy and melted in your mouth. The risotto was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. As my starter, I selected the French onion soup. The onions were translucent and the broth had flavor without being overpowering. Bread is offered for the table - we loved the crustiness of the loaf and it was consistently delivered warm. The staff were very kind and juggled our party with ease.

Yelp
My friend and I wanted to step out of our comfort zone and try new place for us, local restaurant that we could become regulars at (we live close by). I pass this restaurant a lot and read all the reviews, especially how friendly the owner Greg is. I made 7:15 Saturday night Open Table reservations. When we arrived, the parking lot was filled, laughter from the restaurant was loud (good thing)... customers having a great time. When we entered the place was filled. We were greeted and seated. Larry was our server... very nice but stop leaning on our table with your hands and talking over our food. Off the top of things I noted and will change when I return because the food was excellent. I would request a table against the wall, not in the middle of the floor that the servers, hostess and customers constantly squeezed through to get by, almost knocking our my cocktail a couple of times... super annoying to ME! In addition I noticed the restaurant was filled with loyal customers, Greg would greet all the locals and people against the wall... did not give us the time of day passed 5 times, I caught eye contact, no interaction at all... hummm maybe we were sitting at the "newbie table" My friend and I ordered cocktail while looking over the menu, the first round of Cosmo. and Martini were EXCELLENT, but my 2nd Cosmo was horrible sent it back... did they change bartenders. Food wise: we ordered the Beef Carpaccio, Mussels, Lasagna and Eggplant Parmesan. All the food was EXCELLENT. the weakest was the Carpaccio, but next time I would try the Calamari. I want to a local place that my friend and I can go to... I would love to become one of the regulars here... but? Atmosphere: good. Service: good. Food: excellent.

Yelp
The food and service are top notch. We eat here almost weekly. It's more like a hometown Italian restaurant where the servers know their frequent diners and make personal adjustments to taste. The food, no matter what you order, is exceptional. The best homemade blue cheese dressing anywhere. We come here for the food, but we also come here for the service. Jillian is amazing and the owner, Greg, is often here circulating among tables. L'Amore feels like home!

Yelp
We came here and sat on the patio, thought we would try in person after being poisoned in January from their old calms. I do believe this restaurant is overpriced a bowl of Spaghetti is $28 and the Lasagne which is supposed to be in Bologonese sauce is $30. Their Bolognese is not sauce it just is meats with some liquid and very dry. My Lasagne was disgustingly dry like it was a few days old. The patio seating was nice. There was no wow factor, just bland even the house salad was boring. Then came the comedy of errors we wanted to split the check no one knew how to do this, we asked several people to split the check and they literally could not do it, even the waiter was baffled and lied to us saying there were two slips when there wasn't First restaurant ever where no one knew how to split a check. Sadly.

Yelp
Ok I'm absolutely obsessed with L'Amore! The staff is phenomenal and the owner Greg gives you the red carpet experience. The food is absolutely fresh italian with a cozy vibe. The happy hour is amazing and the live music is a plus. Don't miss out on this local favorite that's been a classic for 23 years.

Yelp
So thankful to find this gem, especially coming from living in NY! It's tough to find amazing Italian food in the general Phoenix area. Luckily, it's close to one of our homes so when we're in Scottsdale, it's our go to take family from NY. Great vibe and amazing food!
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
First time at L'Amore and we had a great meal. The lasagna had at least eight layers with a great sauce. The chicken parmigiana was crispy and tender with a side of ziti. And the special Cioppino has great seafood including shrimp, mussels, scallops, and fish. Not spicy with a good sauce over linguine. The atmosphere feels like an old fashioned restaurant. The owner walks around greeting people, the server calls you sweetie, and the people can't be nicer. Please check it out when you are in the Phoenix area.
google avatar

Georgia B.

Yelp
The food was excellent. Sorry I didn't get a picture of it. I had shrimp and don't even recall what my son got. Service was out of this world. They paid quite a bit of attention to each guest they had in the building. The ambience was awesome, so pretty you felt almost like a princess, that is if you were a girl.

Yelp
My first review was deleted by accident. So I will start again. What an amazing place. Coming highly recommended. I was excited to check it out. Dining with friends and enjoying all this place has to offer. Great service, Ambiance Check and the food well delicious! I started with Cauliflower soup. The soup was light and tasty. Next, I tried a Daily Special! Yumm Yummm a twist on Chicken piccata! When it arrived. It smelled so good! The presentation was pleasant! The Chicken with a lemon butter caper sauce was fabulous! The chicken melted in my mouth. Oh! What a treat. So much flavor going on here! Not only did really really enjoy my food. I honestly loved this amibance and experience just has much! You guys take such pride in what you do. I appreciate you. Keep up the Fantastic job! I know this one isnt as good as my first review but hey I had to rewrite and of course. I dont save my live reviews. Lol

Yelp
My husband brought me here for my 40th birthday. We sat on the patio and it was pleasantly comfortable in February at night. Our server was extremely attentive and our food was stellar. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will return!
google avatar

Bri N.

Yelp
Service and seating was super quick, and our server was very helpful (we had never been here before). The interior is very classic and elegant. The bread and butter seemed of high quality, and was a nice touch before the main meal. The cream of cauliflower soup had a rich creamy flavor, I'd never had anything like it. The gnocchi was pillowy and the alfredo sauce complemented it well. The bruschetta was refreshing too. I would come here again, definitely recommend.

Yelp
I look forward to trying L'Amore. I have heard excellent reviews about the food, the people and the environment.

Jill K.

Yelp
Anniversary dinner for my husband and I. We actually found this place based on other reviews. It did not disappoint. We went on one of the very rare rainy evenings in Arizona and were initially surprised to be seated on the patio. However, they had plenty of heaters running and we were quite toasty. Our server, Jillian, was truly amazing. She was prompt, attentive, helpful and very friendly. She made us feel welcome and valued. The Antipasto Appetizer was wonderful, the drinks were strong and the bread nice and warm. Jillian told us of the specials, which we ordered and OMG they were fantastic. To complete the dinner we had coffee and tiramisu which was delicious. All in all it was a wonderful hidden gem which we will definitely return to.

Nelson M.

Yelp
MY wife and I ate here during our January 2025 visit to Phoenix. What should have been a 4 or 5 star review was ruined by poor scheduling on their part. We arrived on time at 6 pm and were seated on the patio with minimal delay. We ordered fairly promptly and waited for our meals. At some point before 7 pm they started setting up for a very large group with multiple linked tables. To do this, they physically moved our table while we were eating to make more room. Then, again, before 7 pm a very large group came from the bar and essentially took over the patio. Very noisy. We quickly finished and left. Less than one hour between our reservation and the premature end of our experience. This experience was unacceptable, and it was a shame. This was one of our favorite restaurants in Phoenix and our meals were quite good. My wife had the grouper Piccata which was excellent. I had the Lasagna Bolognese. The meat sauce was great but the lasagna was flattened so that little meat or sauce remained between the layers. All in all, great flavor but lots of layers of starchy pasta.

Yelp
It was my wife and I's wedding anniversary and I wanted to try a new place. Usually, we always keep to the places that we know and love because something new tends to disappoint us. It was between L'Amore and another Italian place. She's not a seafood person and the other place had a ton of it on their website. But she was willing to try it. Thankfully I passed and made a reservation for L'Amore. It's right off of 32nd St & Lincoln. I will say that if you are headed West on Lincoln and need to turn left to get in there, be sure there's not a ton of traffic, because it's a quick right turn into the complex. It's a Friday night and parking is perfect. From the outside, it's nothing too fancy looking, but as you walk up closer, you see the place come alive. It had outdoor seating and nice music playing and as I open the door, you're hit with the smells and sounds of a lovely Italian eatery. We had a reservation for 6:30 and were seated promptly. I thought it was odd that we didn't get menus right away, but my guess is they were possibly running low because the place was packed. That's good, right? David was our server and when we told him it was our first time, he smiled from ear to ear. He took our drink order and we quickly placed an order for their bruschetta. Came back with our drinks and also some fresh... and I mean fresh, piping hot delicious sourdough bread and butter. I could have eaten a few loaves alone. The appetizer came out and it was a delight. It had 4 or 6 pieces (I can't recall) along with all the toppings set aside so that you could put as much as you'd like on there. It was just as delicious as I've ever had. David had recommended a few dishes and since it was our first time we decided to go with Ziti and Fetuccini Alfredo. He said he couldn't go wrong there. Our food came out and when I mean FRESH.. I mean FRESH. Every single bite was pure heaven and I honestly wanted to eat the whole thing. The cheese, the sausage, the sausage.. all fresh and delicious. I ended up taking some home and had it for lunch the next day. My wife did the same. The service was top notch, everyone that worked there was all helpful and from the people that came and left, you could see this was a place that was full of regulars. I'm happy to say we'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Wow !!!! What an AMAZING restaurant. Came here for my birthday, and had a great time. The food was amazing, the service was great, and they gave me a free dessert to celebrate will be back!!!

Yelp
Had a corner table in the very busy bar; chicken piccata, Greek salad, great service, delicious food and especially loved the 2 guitarists ! Will definitely return.

Yelp
I was there for a galentine's dinner. The gnocchi was yum. Portion was good. I tried the Gnocchi Alfredo was good. The Italian bread tasted the best. Soft snd crunchy on the outside. Ambiance was great!

Yelp
This is my second visit within a month and L'Amore is now my favorite Italian restaurant! As always, the food was delicious. I had the risotto special with salmon - phenomenal. Our server, Jill, was amazing - funny, friendly, and attentive. The band was wonderful too!
google avatar

David A.

Yelp
The service here was immediate, efficient and friendly! The food was WOW!! The caprisi salad was not only beautifully presented but the best I have ever had. We also had a capellini special pasta with Italian sausage accents with heirloom tomatoes and spinach stirred in as but two of the delicious ingredients. The halibut special was great with garlic spinach pasta was amazing. Then there was our friend's tortellini with cooked prosciutto sprinkles. We could not decide who had the best dinner as they were all great. For dessert we had tiramisu, excellent, lemon cake that had a nice lemon flavor and the best almost creamy flourless chocolate cake with 4 decaf cappuccinos all served in a timely fashion. Finally the price for the meal was a good value. What a great dinner. Lots of regulars there. Very friendly and not loud. Yea!

Yelp
I'm not sure what happened at this restaurant . We have been there many times and everything was perfect . The owners were always sweet and the staff quite attentive. Our last visit our waiter was amazing and very nice . The food however was not the same quality at all. The waiter explained to us the regular chef was not in. However when we sent an overcooked dish back on the waiter's suggestion to replace it with another the owner came out and basically said nothing was wrong with the food. The replacement dish was better but the overall quality was just not the same as the prior experience. The owner's confrontational behavior put a damper on a birthday dinner.

Ed G.

Yelp
First of all, the food was very good. This is an old-style Italian place with an extensive menu and an East-Coast ambience. Service was attentive and the owner came around several times to check in. Worth a try.
google avatar

Yelp
A great restaurant. Delicious spaghetti bolognese not too sweet nice and meaty good chunks of meat. Pasta was al dente. Staff was amazing, service was quick attentive and kind. Mom had shrimp scampi good size shrimp delicious sauce great meal.

Yelp
First time here - great ambiance and great music Food was average - overall there are better Italian places in the Valley and The staff was very nice

Yelp
I have no idea what has happened over the past couple of years, but this place is one fire. It is truly one of the best Italian restaurants that I've been to in the state. Why four stars? The decor. It's pretty bad. Western pics on the wall, an Alice in Wonderland chandelier, wood walls and blinds. They also need more servers. When busy, their amazing servers are really stretched, and that affects service. Everyone, including owners are chipping in, but they need some help. Cuisine - 5 Service - 4 Ambiance - 0

Joan R.

Yelp
The food was just amazing!! Authentic Italian food. Our waiter Lorenzo was excellent. Definitely recommend the restaurant and will be back soon!

Yelp
If you haven't tried this please yet you're missing out!! Authentic Italian food! I was hesitant to try this place but WOW. Every single dish we had was absolutely perfect! We will be back for sure!
