The food was immaculate. For starters, we had the rice cups, croquettes, and dinakdakan, and everything was unreal. For the mains, we ordered the oxtail and pork, which were just as perfect. We also had the strawberry lychee and mango ginger drinks, and the mango ginger was seriously eye opening. We ended with a dark chocolate dessert that wrapped the whole dinner perfectly. The staff were so nice and our server treated us like we owned the place. The interiors were perfect. It was just a bit expensive, but honestly worth it.

Dined here with friends last Thursday and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Even without a reservation and with the place already full when we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Sir Roy let us know the wait would be under 30 minutes and suggested we check out the downstairs listening bar, Oto, while waiting. In less than 10 minutes, we were already seated. From appetizers to mains, desserts, and cocktails, everything was excellent. What really stood out was how knowledgeable and enthusiastic the staff were about each dish. They took the time to explain flavor profiles and suggested pairings, making it clear that the service itself is part of the overall dining experience. Beyond the great food and beautiful interiors, their top-notch service truly sets this place apart. Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu! Though not quite at Michelin level, this cozy upstairs restaurant does modern Filipino food extremely well and at reasonable prices. You won't wait long, as the food comes out pretty quickly, and everything we had was tasty, including the pulpo (octopus) tapa, the croquetas de queso with carolina reaper honey, and I really enjoyed my squid ink glass noodles with a whole deep fried soft shell crab. We also tried their 'dinuckdakan,' a play on dinuguan I think, with shredded duck and fried egg, and their laing. For the price point, this was extremely satisfying and worth a repeat visit. There's also free wifi. Not recommended for folks with mobility or accessibility issues, as the only way in is a narrow staircase, and some of the tables are difficult to maneuver around.

An absolutely amazing experience if you’re looking for high end Filipino food in Makati. This place just elevates it while keeping that authentic, family cooked feel to it, rounding it off with amazing service and a very chill, hip ambiance. This was our last meal in the Philippines, and being of Filipino heritage, the food was elevated properly while maintaining authenticity. It was an amazing dinner, definitely check this out!!!

Lampara is a cozy, modern spot in Poblacion. It’s a go-to recommendation if you want to impress someone without looking like you’re trying too hard. It feels like eating at a stylish friend’s apartment—super laid-back but with food that’s actually "wow” - Michelin-recognized menu. Just a heads-up: skip the stress of driving and take a Grab, then spend that extra energy enjoying their cocktails instead.

VENUE: The place is simple and not really ideal for large groups. We were a group of 20 and were seated on the balcony, which was quite hot even at night. Unfortunately, the fans were not sufficient to keep the area comfortable. FOOD: Most of the dishes tasted great—as expected from a Michelin-star restaurant. However, we were a bit disappointed with their Special Laing, which was dry and bland. Aside from that, the rest of our orders were really good. STAFF: Kudos to the staff member who assisted our table—he was extremely attentive and funny. Despite serving a large group and clearly being tired, he remained cheerful, smiling, and engaging with us throughout. Great job! OVERALL RATING: We would consider coming back for the food and service, but not as a large group. The place is more suitable for small gatherings or intimate couple dates.

Great experience. Filipino food but elevated at a reasonable price. Its location is somewhat hidden. Ordered their rice cups which is already good for sharing ₱260. Chicken was my main. Nothing special ₱520. Good for sharing. For my dessert, i ordered their yema ₱340. Tasty. Will comeback and will try their dinuckdakan.

We had a lovely dinner at Lampara last minute on a Saturday. They were able to squeeze us in at 8:30 with no wait! The restaurant is cute and on the smaller side. We ordered the Dinuckdakan (duck sisig), the Tanigue (fish), and the Duck Confi. The duck sisig was good but a bit heavy for an appetizer. I actually prefer the unelevated version. The duck confi was perfect!! A must try. The skin was crispy and the liver empanada was a nice touch. The fish was also good, not a stand out, but worth ordering. We also had the tres leches which was a creative take on the regular dessert. Loved the tuile that came with it! The absinthe drink was excellent. The only item I wouldn't recommend was the peach mango "die" cocktail. It tasted like a sweeter peach bellini and didn't have any craftsmanship like their other drinks. Dinner was just under 4000 pesos for everything! Great prices for the quality and service.

On a recent trip to Manila, a good friend of mine took us to Lampara in Makati's Poblacion area. Lampara is a modern take on traditional Fiilipino cuisine. While I realize Filipino food has its detractors, there are many dishes that I enjoy, but what I appreciated about Lampara's style was that the food wasn't overcooked and tasted lighter than a lot of Filipino dishes tend to. I highly recommend the pulpo! The atmosphere is as if you're in someone's house, and there is a quaint outdoor seating area. Parking can be difficult, but there is a paid parking lot down the street. This is a great place to try if you want Filipino food, but a little more unique, especially if you have guests in town. The drinks were also very creative and delicious. Service was also very good, attentive, polite, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend, but definitely make a reservation!

Popped in for a quick dinner on my last night in Manila. The food was fantastic. Had the lengua in truffle sauce and it was AMAZING. Highly recommended. Just note, sometimes they close before the posted hours.

This is a hidden gem in Poblacion. Innovative and delicious food and drinks. You must try what I can only describe as an alcoholic Uber shake!
