"On the weekends, you’ll probably have to wait in line to get into Lamplighter, a multi-room brewery in Cambridge that sometimes feels like the 20-something yuppie headquarters of Boston. But waiting in line a little bit is worth it for fresh beer and pop-up vendors selling dumplings and poutine. Plus, there’s a coffee counter inside to go along with the beer, which should help you stay awake past 10pm for the first time since New Years Eve." - dan secatore
"Lamplighter has released one well-balanced, flavorful New England IPA after another, along with a bunch of experimental brews, including barleywine, wild ales, and Mexican-style amber lagers. They have two locations—one near Cambridge Crossing and another on Broadway—and Camberville residents keep both packed. We like their Cambridge Crossing taproom a bit more because it’s slightly roomier, with floor-to-ceiling windows that give you a nice view of The Common. Lamplighter also regularly collaborates with some of the hottest names in Boston’s food scene, and has done pop-ups with Sekali for Malaysian bites, Mei Mei Dumplings, and Johnny Boy for Filipino sandwiches" - valerie li stack
"Lamplighter Brewing’s Broadway location is gathering cycling enthusiasts for a pint and a screening of the bikepacking documentary There from Here, followed by a Q&A with the director and subjects (free tickets available)." - Erika Adams
"On almost every night of the week, Lamplighter is either hosting a cheese tasting, screening a movie, or housing a different pop-up kitchen that serves anything from dumplings to waffles. All of that’s great, but not even necessary. The beer is that good and the converted mechanic’s shop space is a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon. We prefer the funkier back room with the couches and tiger murals, but the Birds of a Feather New England IPA tastes just as good wherever you drink it." - dan secatore
"Lamplighter’s family-friendly outdoor beer garden is open for the season, operating Tuesday through Sunday on a reservation-only basis (reserve here); as of August 15, reservations will no longer be required. The full menu from Pepita Coffee Co., Lamplighter’s in-house cafe, is available, with dishes such as breakfast and lunch sandwiches (including a substantial amount of vegan options), soups, salads, and more. Lamplighter is currently open for indoor (walk-in only) and outdoor seating, and beer and merch are also available to-go. Beer can also be shipped." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal
