Good food and service. Not the best I have eaten. Has traditional dishes like Egg Foo Young, Lo Mein, Beef With Broccoli. But also exotic dishes such as Duck Feet, Stir Fried Snail, and Pork Chitterlings. They also have Dim Sum, which if I were to return that is all I would eat. They have different menus, and if you are Chinese you get one, if American another. And you need to ask for Dim Sum menu or you won't get one. At least that was my experience. On weekends I was told they walk around with carts and you pick plates from cart which is traditional in many places. Dim Sum prices were reasonable, but regular dishes were about $5.00 more than I usually pay at other places in the area. For instance, I had Moo Shu Pork, normally about $15.00, here it was $21.00. Not sure if I will be back. But if I do, it will probably be for Dim Sum.

We were vacation in Orlando during Chinese New Year 2025 - Snake year. We thought to search for a good Chinese restaurant in Orlando. We were far from home, Vancouver, BC, as we are spoiled with good Chinese restaurant with many options. We had an amazing dinner at Lam's Garden in Orlando, FL. So good! . I am happy I made reservations in advance. The service was fantastic as the staff kept apologizing for the wait of the food as it was really busy evening. When the dishes arrived, it was hot and quite tasty. The decor is typical of traditional, old style, similar to many Chinese restaurants on Kingsway in Vancouver. They old us it was nice to speak with us my hubby can speak Cantonese fluently (not me). Near the end, one of the staff (could be the owner) gave us a complimentary alcohol drink which is super nice of him. It was nice to see the receipt was hand written! Lam's Garden is the oldest Chinese restaurant in Central Florida and we were very lucky to dine at Lam's Garden on one of busiest day in the year.

Google
Nicely decorated dinning room, courteous host, excellent food, came out hot. Had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend. Two menus, the authentic Chinese and an American menu with two selections. Both are excellent. Start your meal with some tea.

Google
The food is very authentic and fresh. I had the best egg drop soup I've ever had from this place. The fried dumplings were great as well. I didn't like the general tso chicken, but that's because it had a different sauce than I'm used to. But the service was great and the staff is very, very friendly.

Got dim sum for the first time and it was a great experience. The staff were super friendly and inviting. Will return in the future.

Over forty years of history serving authentic and delicious Chinese cuisine. The restaurant owner and staff are all very friendly, making you feel right at home. The stir-fried dishes and seafood are very fresh. Be sure to try the steamed fish and Boston lobster. Highly recommended for everyone to come and dine!

Google
Best dim sum we have found in Orlando. There are still other places we need to try but the dim sum here is always amazing. The flavors of every dish truly pop. The stuffed shishito peppers are spicy and savory. The pork buns are personal favorite. My one wish is they have a spoon for the soup dumpling so we wouldn’t lose the delicious broth. Love this spot and has become a regular date night for us.

Google
Even though I ordered delivery, I’m giving it up to Lams Garden. This was the best Asian food I’ve had in a long time. My egg rolls were fresh and crispy, the wonton soup was the best I’ve tasted in years, and the ribs were excellent. All together the best Asian food I’ve had in years. My hat is of to you and will recommend you to my family and friends.

Yelp
I can't think of a better Chinese sit-down restaurant than this one in Orlando. They have been here for decades and if you are a regular, they know you and treat you like family. The service is always great every time I have eaten here. They are always filling my cup and checking in on our table. They have an authentic Cantonese menu like Szechuan and Hunan specialties. They also offer dinner for two options, hot pot, dim sum and so much more. My go-to is the chicken and broccoli combo plate. I don't like the brown sauce, so I always ask for the white/garlic sauce instead and they always accommodate my request. The wonton soup... okay I know we are all familiar with this one ... but their version/style of this soup is DELICIOUS. So hearty and the wonton noodles are fresh and tasty if you love pork, of course ... which I do. They have a little bit of everything here from poultry, pork, beef, seafood and yes.... VEGETABLE DISHES. Bring the whole family. They have areas to accommodate big parties too!

Yelp
I love this place! It's far from me but it's the only " hole in the wall" type Chinese food I can find in Orlando, I love how they have cheap lunch specials and I love the authentic feeling inside! Everything is good here! I love the food. The egg drop soup is amazing. The service is very fast and good as well, all the servers help each other out. They have a fish tanks in the front and they have an authentic Asian grocery store next door! I love this place! I don't understand why this place has lower reviews. Doesn't deserve that.

Yelp
I came here alone for brunch one saturday. And the staff were friendly and it was not too crowded. Good food but not piping hot as the small crowd didn't allow enough movement of kitchen food items. I always love the green beans here and paid around $20 for the plate of green beans and shrimp and chive dumplings. The food was tasty and I'd come back when in the area.

Yelp
Every time my family and I go to Lam's Garden, we are always greeted and seated right away. It is a family-style authentic Chinese restaurant with plenty of seating even on peak hours. We go here mainly for the dim sum but they also have a regular menu where you can order from the kitchen. My favorites are the fish maw soup, honey walnut shrimp, and salt & pepper calamari. Pro tip: there is plenty of parking at iFresh market next door or the back of the building if there are no spots directly at the front of the restaurant.

Yelp
Vegetarian options are not Vegetarian. I was recommended this spot awhile back & finally went at lunch time. They have a lunch & separate dim sum menu. You can only choose 1 to puruse, so look up the menu before arriving. I did & chose the lunch menu for the Vegetarian Buddha's delite. I felt so rushed by the server, yet everything took so long & i never saw my waiter other than dropping off the messy food. They took the chopsticks away from me & gave me silverware, so i had to ask twice to have chopsticks back. The water cup i received was dirty. The food was fine. Tasted just like take out chinese. Nothing unique, flavorful, or special like other comparable restaurants in orlando. I received pork in my Buddha's delite which was the only Vegetarian dish on thd lunch menu. The table next to me ordered the same & i overheard their confusion as well. I unfortunately was there much longer than a typical lunch service. The most bizarre thibg was the staff wore black bow ties & white button ups. This spot didn't give off black tie vibes. Its decor is clean, but old & falling apart. Im glad i finally can check this off my list, but i dont see what's special. Totally fine place.

Yelp
I came for lunch to have some dim sum. I wasn't aware that the carts only come out on Saturday and Sunday. They offer it other days by menu only unfortunately. This is one of the most average Chinese restaurants I can recall. I don't know how old the fried rice is. It must be made in big batches since I couldn't substitute their roast pork fried rice for my usual vegetable fried rice choice. That's never a good sign of fresh quality. The fried rice tastes like maybe it's been reheated from a few days ago, very bland and dry. Pouring the remainder of my tiny cup of Wonton soup on top helped a little bit, but not enough to mask the stale taste. The Hunan Beef was very decent with a little bit of spice and a nice variety of vegetables in a slightly watery sauce. The wonton soup could use some more flavor. It did have some chopped scallions and shredded roast pork slices in it so I must commend them for that. The service is a little confused about when to bring out the soup and entree. They apologized profusely for the small error. No big deal. I would like to come back for dinner to try what I really came here for, the DIM SUM. I hope that it is on par with the restaurants in NJ, PA, and NYC.

Yelp
I had High Hopes for this place, but it was just your run of the mill Chinese food, maybe a tad batter than some of the takeout places. The environment was a little nicer than most, but still just had that tackiness to it that made it kind of uncomfortable. Service was odd in the way that I feel we were being watched the whole time. I can't explain it, but it was just odd. I felt we were over-served in a way where as soon as you set your water glass down, someone came to refill it, even after a sip. If you're going to do that, just feed me too! The food was good. The Szechuan Chicken and Shrimp were tasty and the Orange Beef was crispy outside and tender outside. The crab Rangoons were also good, but none of it was the best we've had. I think it's a one and done for me as there are plenty of other asian restaurants in the area which are much better. For good Chinese, we'll stick with Chuan Lu Garden which isn't that far from here.

Yelp
Our family has been dining here for as long as I can remember. We've celebrated wedding receptions, as well as celebrations of life, and everything in between here. This family-owned restaurant is serves authentic Cantonese-style Chinese cuisine. Today's review is about my dim sum experience. Service was attentive, and the food was delicious as usual. Lam's Garden's ambience is no-frills, and they are located in a strip mall in Coytown.

Yelp
Authentic traditional Chinese food and a separate menu for American Chinese, wonderful people , good service and excellent food, definitely our go to spot whenever we are in Orlando
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
I had dinner here during the week. We were a big group and seated at two large round tables. Each table had our own server but they worked together to take care of us. The menu was huge and offered a big variety, including the typical dishes you would see on the menu at a Chinese restaurant. I ordered a shrimp dish and my husband ordered the beef curry. The portions were good and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. Once we were done, the staff was very helpful in taking group pictures. I would like to go back on the weekend and check out the dim sum cart.
google avatar

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant for an authentic dim sum experience. The staff is very helpful with explaining the menu items as well. Usually pretty busy on Sunday for dim sum

Yelp
Delicious The Best Authentic Chinese Restaurant specializes in Dim Sum and Seafood in Orlando.

Janille M.

Yelp
What a disappointment. Maybe they have a new owner, or at least a new chef. We used to really enjoy this place but tonight's entrées were almost inedible. Tso's chicken was in brown gravy Horrible, salty brown gravy. With broccoli chunks and sliced carrots!? The broccoli beef was just as bad.
google avatar

Larissa J.

Yelp
Favorite dim sum in Orlando! They serve cart-style on the weekends. Service is always very prompt, even if the dining room is full. The dining room is old fashioned, but I think it elevates the traditional dim sum experience. The food is soooo good, and nicely priced! My go-tos are the green beans and the crispy shrimp balls.

Yelp
We had some wonderful Dim Sum today at Lam's! So yummy!! And the service was great, everyone was very friendly & attentive!!! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
I have been looking for authentic Cantonese Chinese with flavor since I moved to Central Florida 4 years ago and I've finally found it. The food was amazing. Service was fabulous and the ambiance was of a traditional Chinese restaurant that I grew up with. They even had soup noodles and duck sauce!
google avatar

Bob F.

Yelp
By far the best Dimsum in Orlando--- one is even close! Fresh and perfectly made--! I've eaten Dimsum all over the Asian Pacific--this is right there with them.

Yelp
This was my family's first time trying this restaurant, we had delivery and I really wanted to give 4 stars- the food was actually very fresh and good but I have to give a 1-2 star for there boneless ribs/ I'm use to small pieces chopped up and very tender.. I don't know what this was they sent but it was all hard as a rock and did not even taste like pork!! They were huge big fat pieces not even cut up, my husband was very disappointed as that's one of his favorite meals but we never seen it made like this, plus is was way over cooked and the meat was hard!! The pork fried rice was out of this world, the wonton soup was very good but the crunchy noodle they give with the soup was very stale, not so crispy.

Raymond D.

Yelp
This restaurant was amazing. First off, I like a location that is well maintained and clean in appearance. Lam's Garden is that place that takes great care keeping the environment clean and inviting. We ordered the Pan Fried Dumplings which were quite large and overstuffed. Delicious and were served with a dipping sauce. We also ordered the Double Fried Pork which I asked to be Very Spicy, but it wasn't that spicy or at least to what I was expecting. However it was very tasty and was full of meat and very fresh vegetables. My husband ordered the Kung Bo Chicken which he asked to be prepared without any vegetable, just the peanuts and sauce. This was very good and full of flavor. We will definitely be back to this location. One of the best Asian Restaurants in the Orlando Area on 50.
google avatar

Steven Z.

Yelp
This restaurant is one of the better dim sum places in Orlando. Their dim sum service is really cool since they push the carts around allowing you to see what they have while also being able to order from a menu as well. A lot of cool Chinese designs with dragon patterns on their architecture all around the room. The food is pretty good, however, i will say the service isn't the greatest.
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped by the restaurant for lunch on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. I've patronized the establishment many times in the past and this review is based solely on their lunch special menu of that day. The restaurant has a full lunch and dim sum menu available however, I opted for their lunch special combination plate. There are approximately twenty different combination plates available with most selections at the $9.95 price level. The combination plates come with your choice of soup (wonton or egg drop), rice (steamed or fried), and a vegetable egg roll. I opted for the Chicken Lo Mein plate with Wonton Soup. The Wonton Soup came out rather quickly and was accompanied by a bowlful of Fried Wonton Strips. Upon tasting the soup, the broth was lukewarm...the real kicker was the ground pork in the wonton was cold. Definitely not a good start to my meal. When the main meal arrived I was expecting a better experience but, unfortunately it didn't come to fruition. The Fried Rice and Vegetable Egg Roll were bland and the Chicken Lo Mein was a little too oily for my taste. This particular day may be a one-off as to the meal I was served as I plan to continue to visit Lam's Garden in the future however, next time I will select items from their dim sum menu instead.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Best Chinese food in all of Orlando Florida. We dine at Lams garden at least twice a month and everything is outstanding. Try the peaking duck service. It's outstanding f

Yelp
This and Peter's are our go to place for Dim Sum brunch. Depends how long the wait is where lol. Love the owner and his son. They always come to ask how everything was with our meal. Also, they make sure water glasses and tea are filled. Full of filled carts with many choices of meat, poultry, vegetables and desserts. Your charged individually for each choice by the cart servers. Really enjoy our meals here very much. There is also a separate menu if you'd rather order separately or add to your dim sum order. The place is always busy and the food quality is very good and tasty. Not an overly fancy place but has a cool lobster tank to check out. Try the crispy duck, stuffed eggplant, beef ribs, shrimp shumai , broccoli, steamed pork dumplings, pineapple rolls and sesame balls.

Trip T.

Yelp
Great food, excellent service. Egg rolls are on point, especially with the at table spicy mustard and duck sauce. Orange Beef is great, large portions. If you enjoy Chinese food this is a good comfort pick. My only suggestion since I see a lot of comments on ambience is a simple one; should utilize a music playlist or a streaming service like Spotify instead of the radio (the radio ads are distracting). Traditional / Instrumental music will go a long way (instead of rock/classic/pop)

Wei W.

Yelp
I ordered two dishes one cost around $14.90 (vegetable)and the other one cost around$17(pork) I was expecting two packs of rice which I believe it's common. The owner said they'd charge me for the second pack because one of the dish is small. I don't get it.
google avatar

Katelin M.

Yelp
Going there for years!! Love this place, the food is so good. The workers are so nice, I've been going here since I was a kid. Although, I'm not sure if they got a new recipe for shrimp shumai ( sorry if I spelled it wrong ), it just doesn't taste as good as it used to. It was once very flavorful and had amazing texture. Now it's not as flavorful and very soft, which isn't how it should be. Other than that, everything is amazing.
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
Great service, dim sum carts and for the first time took a look at the menu and ordered a Buddah's delight. Large dining room, so there's rarely a wait, unlike a lot of the other Dom sum restaurants in town and the food is great.

Lauren R.

Yelp
Came with my parents for the weekend cart service around 2 and everything was so good! We got food within minutes of seating and everything tasted great and the staff was really nice. It was also nice beating out some of the lunch rush since we went later in the day, and we will be back sometime!

Lisa S.

Yelp
I have eaten here as special occasion 1-2 times a year because of distance. It's was always to good. It was almost empty, which was very strange for a Sunday when there use to be lines. Food was cold, fried foods soggy. Generally disgusting. Just awful.
google avatar

Cindy M.

Yelp
We have been coming to this place for the longest time. It's traditional Cantonese Chinese food and dim sum at a slightly higher price point. Came here more recently to celebrate a friends nuptials. We had a party of 8'and were able to make a reservation. Service was great, they were very attentive and food brought out quickly. Although food was tasty, felt like it was lacking something. The baby clams were a bit sandy and although lobster presentation was there, it was a bit over cooked. No oranges or fortune cookies at the end. Also no changing table in bathroom. Side note: ha cent been here recently for dim sum, but I do like how they use the metal carts for the food, it keeps the food hot!
google avatar

Sonita J.

Yelp
Lams garden is located on colonial in the plaza next to the iFresh market. It's not a fancy place, but it's very traditionalooking. Fish tank when you walk in, Lazy Susan is on the table. I've been going there for many years since I was young it's never truly bustling when I go there but I never have to wait for a table and the food is consistently good. My family likes to go there for dim sum, we never have any issues with freshness or quality. They have even made dim sum especially for my daughter who is vegan I especially love the shumai and their steamed pork ribs are better than most. There are a few dim sum spots to choose from in Orlando now which wasn't the case before this may not be the best dim sum I ever had but you don't have to wait in any lines out the door for hours and it's delicious they have carts that come around and it's quick and tasty . Give it a try.
google avatar

Alexa A.

Yelp
I went here for Dim Sum and it was amazing! The staff were very polite and attentive to our needs and the food was so delicious! Definitely a return spot

Yelp
Nice service, very friendly staffs- love their food- bit pricey but very authentic food

Yelp
I decided to go here with a large group of friends one afternoon and it was ok. The service here is slow but we were seated quickly. The restaurant was not too busy at the time and easily seated the 13 of us. We were not notified of the prices of the dishes and just ordered (or chose the dishes off the cart that came by). The staff did not come around with the cart often and the dishes were ok. The bill came out and we all spent about $13 each person. We each did not end up spending too much but the experience wasn't as great as I thought it would be. I wish there was more variety and the staff came by more often. We ended up waiting for about 20 minutes each time they would not come around. I would understand if it was a week day at a less busy time. We came Saturday around the lunch rush hour and thought it would take awhile to be seated but everything would be fresh and great.
google avatar

Bengie M.

Yelp
An Orlando staple for dim sum. Servers come around with the carts and you choose what you like. Generally, because it's quite large inside, you'll get seated very quickly. Lots of tables and comfortable booths to choose from for seating. Much of the staff has been around for a long time too.
google avatar

Nina D.

Yelp
Food was more authentic and delicious we loved all the dim sum we ordered and easy to order. We were served and welcomed even though they closed in 30 minutes. Our server was very attentive. The place looked like an authentic Chinese restaurant with the red colors and more than enough seating.

Marshall C.

Yelp
Very old style Chinese restaurant. I always like to go here to get my childhood favorites. It reminds me of an Anthony Bourdain episode when he goes to his families favorite restaurant in China Town NYC. Definitely worth a try if you have not been here. I think its the oldest Chinese restaurant in Orlando.
google avatar

Todd S.

Yelp
This restaurant is totally lit. We had an epic Chinese meal. Everything was dank. The string beans with pork on top was super good. Beef chow fun was off the chart. Walnut shrimp was really good. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended restaurant.
google avatar

Narenda C.

Yelp
We were tossing up between this and another dim-sum place. Lams garden was our second option, as we'd gone to another dim-sum place down the road and they were super busy and the wait was long. Luckily for us when we arrived here, we got seated straight away. We went on the weekend for lunch, which is peak time for dim-sum. Plenty of parking in front of the restaurant, so no issues there. As we got there towards the end of lunchtime, there was less variety of food offered, and it was luke warm. I guess that's the downfall of going a bit later, you'll get a seat, but less variety. The serving size were generous and overall reasonably priced. Would definitely come here again, maybe a bit earlier during lunch so we have more options.

Yelp
The Egg Drop Soup was delish! So was the Wonton soup! Spring rolls crunchy and hot! Plus the Cashew Chicken rocked too!
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Stopped by solo for lunch today. I ordered hot m sour soup, shrimp toast, and peking style pork. Just FYI the hot n sour soup is for 2 so bring a friend, or just take the rest home. I got my soup, it was very nice, not the best I have tasted by an 8 out of 10. Could have been a touch more sour. The shrimp toast was amazing. A whole shrimp layer across the crispy toast. Absolutely delicious! The peking prk too was expertly cooked and very tasty. The caramelized onions in the sauce was perfect. A great classic here and I look forward to trying some seafood here.
google avatar

Marissa M.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this restaurant and it was a great find for lunch. The food was good they have a great lunch special. The service was decent our drinks were never refilled but the food came out fast. The restaurant was clean and not too busy during lunch.

Yelp
This review is long overdue. Lam's Garden is the go to place if you are seeking a traditional Chinese banquet dinner! For my father's 80th birthday celebration my siblings and I wanted to have a more traditional Chinese birthday dinner which is an eleven course meal starting with a cold dish as the first entry and finishing with a long noodle dish signifying longevity! Each dish was a waxing and fresh! Full service with attentive waitstaff on standby to switch out the used plate for a new one! Owners were very friendly throughout the process, offering their personal cell number to confirm the date and menu! Excellent experience! Highly recommend this restaurant! Also heard the dim sum is just as amazing! I will definitely be going back!

Ryan K.

Yelp
I came here for dinner with my family, we didn't know what to order so the waiter suggested a few things. WOW was his recommendations great, the beef was so flavorful and we told the waiter that we liked Spicy food, they made the fried rice really spicy but very tasty. Authentic Chinese food! Definitely try this place out.
google avatar

Caitlyn M.

Yelp
The food was soo yummy and the owners were so great and friendly. It's such a hidden gem. They really seem to care about their customers and want you to not only enjoy your food but also the experience you have while visiting. 10/10 place and will absolutely be dining in again!

Yelp
Interesting place. Vietnamese language but primarily Cantonese food. We had a half roast duck, seafood pan fried noodles, and the house special hot pot. Great food here. There are some exotic items but we easily found what we wanted.
