Yelp
I have to admit, I've become a bit of a regular here at Land & Lake in Andersonville - here's why:
- Location: Land & Lake is centrally located on Clark just a few doors down from the happening Balmoral/Clark intersection (A Taste of Heaven, Replay, Vincent's, etc, etc). It's a little hidden with their smaller signage, but if you know where to look, you can't miss it.
- Ambiance: The restaurant is spacious and bright, nicely decorated with exposed brick walls, a great bar area, and ample seating both inside and out. That's right, Land & Lake has a big back patio that is practically the size of the inside of the restaurant. While it can get a little warm outside in the summers, the back patio is relaxing and inviting.
- Staff/Service: Second-to-none. Every single time I've been there, the staff just gets better. They recognize you, interact with you, check in on you constantly, and are amazingly kind. It feels like you're walking into a place where everyone gets along and that just adds to the dining experience in a delightfully positive way.
- Food: I've honestly tried I think six things on the menu at this point and have not been disappointed yet. Burgers, sandwiches, pastas, salads - everything is delicious, and you'll never leave hungry. Do I have a favorite? Of course, but we all have different tastes. However, if you're looking for a solid recommendation, their fried chicken sandwich is amazing. Also, I have it on good authority that they are adding some new brunch items in the very near future
- (Saving the best for last) Brunch: Land & Lake is literally the best bottomless mimosa kept secret in the city. The food is already very affordable, but tack on bottomless mimosas for only $18 more? Sold! Additionally, I don't know about all of you, but I can't quite do Sunday brunch like I used to be able to, what with work on Mondays and all. No problem! Land & Lake does brunch on Saturdays too! Oh, one last thing, you'll never wait around for your empty glass to be refilled - this crew knows what's important and keeps the mimosas flowing.
In the end, check Land & Lake out - I promise you won't be disappointed.
