We almost totally overlooked this place because it’s rather unassuming from the outside but I’m so glad we went in!! The food is super delicious. The ambiance is great as is the service. Highly recommend!

Wow! Blown away by this place! And man was it popular on a Saturday night. We loved all our orders & our server was absolutely perfect. She was funny & engaged but let us have fun. Definitely will be visiting this place again!

Love this place. Andrew is the best server I’ve had at any restaurant. He’s so personable. The food is also delicious. 10/10!

Date night win! Meg and I keep coming back to Land of Sushi—it’s been around forever, but somehow it still feels fresh, modern, and just plain good. The ambience is warm and inviting, and while we’re not quite regulars yet, it’s the kind of place where the servers do know their regulars by name. Goals, right? This spot is a local favorite for a reason. The seaweed salad? Absolutely get it. Light, flavorful, and topped with just the right amount of sesame crunch. Miso soup is solid and comforting. And the sushi rolls are all delicious. Everything’s beautifully plated and incredibly fresh. As a longtime Colorado resident and local real estate agent, I’m always looking for those gems to recommend to clients relocating to South Denver—and this is one I should point to often. If you’re hunting for the best sushi in the area (especially near Parker or DTC), Land of Sushi needs to be on your list.

Excellent place for lunch! Wasn't too busy. I got the seafood udon and I thought it was soup 🫠 it was tasty nonetheless! We liked the selection of items. We like being able to see the chefs create all the food.

Google
The quality of fish here is top notch compared to surrounding sushi restaurants. Their sushi and sashimi combos have a variety of fish, and they all taste great. The price is about average, so given the location, you’re getting some great value. The restaurant itself is in an older shopping center that could use a bit of TLC. Otherwise, great restaurant, and an easy recommend for sushi in the highlands ranch/centennial area.

We had a lovely sushi dinner. Very fresh quality fish. I will definitely keep this place on my list for greatsushi

I cannot stress enough how utterly disappointing and frustrating this experience was. Before even stepping foot in the restaurant, I had my sights set on the omakase. I called ahead, confirmed that the 14-course option would be available, and was told the monthly 20-course version would not. That was completely fine—14 courses still sounded fantastic. We arrived at Land of Sushi on Valentine's Day with a reservation, only to be seated 45 minutes late. Now, I’ve worked in restaurants most of my adult life, including as a hostess, so I understand how things can get backed up. While my companion was frustrated, I remained optimistic—after all, this place had glowing reviews. After finally getting seated, we ordered drinks and both committed to the omakase. But here’s where the cracks started to show: I watched our drinks sit at the bar for over 20 minutes before they were brought to us. Not ideal, but I was still focused on the meal ahead. The menu (photo attached) clearly stated: ➡ "12 unique pieces of sushi prepared by our chef with precision and artistry. Served with smoked tomato and lobster bisque, and coconut panna cotta." First course: the bisque. No complaints—it was delicious, rich, and smoky with clear seafood flavors. A promising start! Then... we waited. And waited. 30 minutes passed before our next course arrived. When it finally did, I was confused: 🔹 2 oysters 🔹 2 needlefish nigiri 🔹 2 snapper nigiri I assumed, okay, maybe this omakase serves two nigiri of each type, which is actually quite generous! But the excitement stopped there. Those first few pieces of fish did not taste fresh, were overly chewy, and somewhat slimy. I adore nigiri, yet I couldn’t even finish these. The oysters at least were fine. When I asked the server what the nigiri were, he didn’t know. I mean if you are serving omakase, at least educate the staff on what they are serving. The whole point of it, is to be surprised by the choices, but when you try them you at least know what you are trying. It took him 20 minutes to return with an answer, long after the plates had been cleared. A Pattern Emerges Next course: 🔹 2 salmon nigiri 🔹 2 mackerel nigiri 🔹 2 smoked aji (I think—no one told us, so I had to guess from their specials menu) These were slightly better. I could eat them, but still, nothing close to what you expect from an omakase experience. My thoughts at this point were - ok the first 6 nigiris were not great, but it can only get better right? RIGHT? Then, the real kicker: Our server came by and casually asked if we were ready for the panna cotta… Wait. What? I asked, "Can you clarify—when the menu says ‘12 unique pieces,’ you actually mean 2 of 6 kinds of nigiri? That’s what you're calling a 14-course omakase?" "Yes," he said. Stunned, I watched him go speak with the owner. He returned with an even more ridiculous response: "The owner says that's not the right menu. That menu is for the monthly omakase." Absolutely not. That is a blatant lie. The monthly omakase is 20 courses. I knew this because I researched it beforehand. And if it were truly the wrong menu, why were they still charging us the full price of the 14-course omakase? If this was a mistake, the response should have been an apology, a correction, or something to make it right. Instead, the owner stood back and chose to let the server take the fall. She didn't come to the table, or nothing, just stood by the bar watching. I felt bad for the server because the moment he told me that I knew and he knew that it was bullshit. Bottom line - This "omakase" was a complete ripoff. The food quality was subpar, the service was slow, and the entire omakase experience felt like a scam. We spent $200, left a lot of the food untouched, and had to grab a burger on the way home. I've read the positive reviews, and maybe if we had ordered from the regular menu, it would have been a different story. Perhaps the monthly omakase is actually good. But if you are considering doing their regular "14 course" omakase? DO. NOT. WASTE. YOUR. MONEY.

Yelp
I've been going to Land of Sushi for almost 9 years. In that time it has expanded to the retail space beside it, however the food and service has remained wonderful. It is my go to sushi place since it is only about 5 minutes down the road from my home. For lunch they have great specials such as your pick of two sushi rolls (maki combo), or a sushi or sushami special. When we go for dinner with the family we typically pick a variety of their freshly prepared rolls. The service is always friendly and based on the fact they are busy most of the time reflects how much customers come back again and again. Their latest addition is a multi-course sushi (Chef's pick) option that you can order. Last time I was there (last week) a couple sitting beside us got that option and it looked amazing.

Yelp
Land of Sushi in Centennial is hands down my favorite sushi spot in Denver (with Sushi Den being the only possible exception). I recently went in for lunch, and even during construction, they were open and operating smoothly. The service was exceptional--attentive and friendly. The lunch combos are a great deal. I got the maki combo, which included spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls--both fresh and flavorful. The hot sake was excellent, and the miso soup hit the spot. If you're looking for quality sushi (especially south of sushi den) and a consistently great experience, this is the place to go.

Yelp
I read some of the reviews left by others and I agree with the sentiment left by them: this place used to be good but it has gone down especially the service. I dined here 10+ years ago with friends. I don't remember anything bad about it (food and service wise.) I really wanted some baked fish with rice to go with so after visiting a business in this quiet strip mall, I stopped by here and got me exactly that. I stepped inside and one of the waitstaff approached me with"How may I assist you?" I didn't feel welcomed at all. I told her I was placing a to-go order but she couldn't hear me well (as I had a mask on my face due to coughing; got sick earlier in the week.) She irritably said "Excuse me?" Once she understood what I was there for she gave me a couple of different menus to look at. Once I knew what I would want, a different lady looked at me with a smile. Oh boy, did she make me feel better!! I told her I'd pay for it at that point but she said it wouldn't matter if I paid then or later (when the food would be ready.) She was so easygoing for me. I told her I'd be back in about 5-10 minutes as I'd need to go next door to shop for some groceries. When I came back my food was ready in a brown bag. It was either the same first staff or another staff that assisted me for the check. This person (like the first lady) was blunt with no smile. Once I was done paying, I grabbed my food and off I went. No "Thank you" or any words of appreciation came from the several staff that were there. I guess they didn't care??? Before I took off though, I took several photos of the dining hall including the bar. By looking at the ceiling, it is an old building but it was pretty clean. As I was driving home, I was crossing my fingers for something quality to taste as the service was poor to nothing. Hamachi Kama was quite small. I've seen a bigger portion of it with the same price at a different sushi restaurant. Daikon oroshi is a stable accompaniment to Hamachi Kama but it was barely there squished by the ponzu sauce container. Scallop (nigiri) sushi was okay-ish. The scallops were lightly baked at the top. Side rice was a decent portion. I wasn't disappointed with this one. Well, I don't think I will return to this place anytime soon or ever. I could go to a different sushi restaurant to get better service with quality food. This restaurant failed to impress me unfortunately. Hence my frank and honest two-star review.

Yelp
We haven't been here for several years and were happily surprised to see how they've expanded, remodeled, and enhanced their menu options. We will definitely be back to try some more things! We had a couple of nigiri sushi to start, then a great specialty roll and shared the bento box. It was plenty of food and we were stuffed. Also, amazing happy hour drinks at $4 for house wine and $3 for drafts! Great service.

Yelp
Great place with okay staff. Food is fresh and delicious. Used to join my mom with getting their green tea--which is one of my favorite ones with the roasted rice. I especially love their spicy salmon roll. HOWEVER...Be sure to understand what the entrees come with. I was surprised that it sounds like they did away with their salad and miso soups with the entrees, but kept the same prices. Apparently they told me that they did that since most were not eating them anyway and they threw them away. I let her know we definitely eat them. Then it came out it was to cover the increase of the food costs. Whatever the reason, you are getting less for the same price. Unfortunately the prices are already pretty high compared to other sushi places I go to in many different locations across the US. Guess it is back to the drawing board and finding another place to frequent here in CO!

Yelp
Exceedingly fresh fish and a stellar udon seafood stew are the reasons I keep going back to this unassuming but popular sushi joint that's been around forever, tucked into a corner of a strip mall behind a gas station. Long may it thrive.

Yelp
We eat here all the time. It's our go-to for dinner out. I love the sesame chicken it's very different than other places, its rich and savory. My hubby always has a big Sushi platter and loves it every time. The service is always quick and the portions are large. Plus who doesn't love hot sake.

Yelp
Was looking for sushi restaurant for a late lunch on a Friday while in the area. They took us in after 2 pm. The quality of the fish is top notch. My husband was very impressed with the omakase. Food is excellent! Service is great! Pleasantly surprised.

Kylee B.

Yelp
Service was really great, Maya was fantastic but the sushi was so gross. It tasted so old and that a weird after taste to it

Tim L.

Yelp
Highly recommend Land of Sushi. Fresh, flavorful, & everything we tried was great! Friendly staff & we'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Love the sushi! Always delicious! A hot spot for my family. Happy we have this place nearby.

Yelp
Great Sushi! Our family favorite is the Colorado Roll. Indescribably delicious. The entire menu is very, very good. Staff is very cordial and attentive. Our favorite Sushi place in the Denver area.

Michael K.

Yelp
Always fresh and delicious sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese delights!! Great service, as well.
google avatar

Yelp
This was another gem we found through our friends. We have been here twice now and I can say the food is consistent and fresh. My husband loves the sashimi here and it is reasonably priced. The cut and thickness of perfect. We didn't have one single piece of fish sinew in our sashimi or nigiri. We usually ordered the 18 pieces of sashimi or the sashimi for two. The owner is very attentive and super nice too!

Yelp
I've been here 25-30 times. Never had a bad experience and The sushi quality is incredible. Don't trust the complainer reviews that just have not been accurate in any experience I've had there. Every once in a while service is slow. Who cares. If you are buying takeout sushi, you're doing it wrong. Can't fail order: blue fin sashimi app, mango roll, fire engine roll, hamachi orange roll. You're welcome.

Yelp
Not very good. Used to be good before expanding the restaurant but I guess with expansion quality goes down. I ordered a lot food for a birthday dinner and was so disappointed by the quality of the food. I ordered the Love Boat. This comes with assorted sushi , sashimi and 2 chefs choice special roll. The sashimi flavors were bland and didn't taste fresh. The sushi was ok. The chefs special rolls were also not good. One tasted like canned salmon with teriyaki sauce and the other one was ok but not great. I also ordered two extra rolls, rainbow. Roll and New York roll. The rainbow roll was mushy and tasteless, the New York roll was ok. Needless to say, my families birthday dinner was a flop and it was expensive. We always devour sushi, but this time.

Tracy P.

Yelp
I never write reviews for restaurants, retail or anything of the like. That being said, I have to tell you that Land of Sushi is AMAZING! I eat sushi all of the time; I've been to the best of the best in Denver. This place is Great! From the owner being there to greet you, to the wait staff and Amazing sushi AND Entrees ...this place is SO great!!!

Yelp
I was pretty stoked to try LAND OF SUSHI cause I'm always into trying new Japanese Restaurants and the menu has loads to offer... However, the prices on the in restaurant menu DO NOT reflect the prices you see on line... IE: it's way more expensive to dine in! All of the speciality rolls were basically $17 or more... And my salmon skin handrolls were $7.50 a piece which is the priciest of handroll I've ever had! They were tasty though, so at least I didn't feel like I wasted my money. That being said, the other things I ordered... Not as good. I ordered a La Carte sashimi-- Salmon, Yellowtail and Unagi... And while they were fine (albeit very thinly sliced- except the unagi)... They were kinda boring and flavorless at the same time. Even the unagi! I also ordered the hamachi kama, and while it was a huge portion, there was something seriously OFF about it. I think it was the seasoning. The pepper they used, way too overpowering. Almost made it taste bitter at times. I ate it all, cause I'm not one to waste food, but it was definitely NOT the best kama I've ever had and in fact, it doesn't even rank in the top 50 spots (yes, I've had a lot of hamachi kama in my day LOL). Ohhhh and another reason why I didn't love it -- it wasn't cooked enough. Sure the meat was cooked all the way through but the skin was gooey/slimy... AND NOT CRISPY AT ALL (something I love)... Thus it kinda made me nauseated. Gah. Just thinking about it, makes me want to hurl. Other than those issues though, everything else was fine. My friend liked her sashimi and our waitress was very nice! Unfortunately though... I won't be coming back to the Land of Sushi.

Yelp
This used to be my go-to sushi restaurant but it's been a while since I dined here- now I remember why. I didn't have a great experience the last time I ate here but figured it was a one off situation. We dined in a few days ago and ordered three rolls, all with avocado. The avocado was unripe on all of the rolls, which is a really unpleasant texture for sushi. (It was unripe enough that it was hard to poke through a piece with a chopstick.) I let the waiter know and he just said, "Huh. I'll let them know." Nobody acknowledged it beyond that and we were charged fully for three inedible rolls. I think what frustrates me the most was that any chef would realize how unripe the avocados were when cutting them. I understand if you might be short on ingredients but in that case you let the diners know- you don't just keep going. We don't go out for sushi very often because of the expense so this was a lot of money wasted.

Eric K.

Yelp
I've been coming here for years. This is by far one of the best sushi places in Colorado. Jessie knows how to run a great restaurant. Top notch service, amazing food, and outstanding sushi! They also have an amazing list of sake. I enjoy coming here whether it's with a friend and I, or a group of six. Always a good time.

Brandon B.

Yelp
Been going here for years. Never disappoints. Very good and quality for good price! The outside of the restaurant is deceiving and the staff is amazing always. Have only had a few times where service was okay.
google avatar

Aleh V.

Yelp
They used to be great before the expansion when they had 1$ sushi. It was a fun place but they grew and we all know what happens then. AND now they stopped giving including salad and miso soup with entrées.wtf? I asked and they said because no one was eating the soup and salad and it was being wasted yet their prices didn't drop@@@@ lol. What a joke

LeeAnn D.

Yelp
This is our favorite sushi spot. The sushi is fresh and delicious and they have an awesome bento box option.

Loraine A.

Yelp
The food was great and Trissa the waitress is the best waitress that we have had in many years at at restaurant.
google avatar

Jami W.

Yelp
Came here for lunch. Covid compliant-- mask requires, table spacing (inside & outside seating). I was solo and chose to sit inside. I was greeted immediately with a water, menus and disposable plates, disposable sauce dish & disposable chopsticks. I wasn't super hungry so, I ordered a couple of appetizers/starters. I went with the seaweed salad (pretty large portion on top of a cucumber/bell pepper mix) and the vegetable tempura (eggplant, zucchini & pumpkin slices--thicker batter, not the light fluffy typical tempura batter). I felt that the prices were on the expensive side. Great service and nice atmosphere.
google avatar

Ben K.

Yelp
Best sushi in Denver not called sushi den. (And it's half the price with a more mom and pop environment). And reasonable minds could disagree whether sushi den is better.
google avatar

Jessica V.

Yelp
GET THE LOVE BOAT!! For the price and quality of the fish, it's so worth it!! The slices of fish on the nigiri are perfection! Not too slim and not too thick. The fish tasted so fresh for a sushi restaurant in Colorado. I used to live down the street from here and ate here at least once a month because it is soooo good!
google avatar

Jesse B.

Yelp
Very good sushi. A myriad of lunch specials I was feeling hungry and opted for the chirashi which starts with soup and salad and then gives you a mound of sushi rice with several pieces of fish and tamago (egg custard) on the side. The quality of the fish is exceptional and the tuna, salmon and yellowtail were like butter. Very nice staff who refilled my water several times. The space is nice (last time it was much smaller as they expanded several years ago) Cant wait to go back.

Susan A.

Yelp
The food atLand of Sushi was good as always,we have ate there many times and have all left Happy. The service was great too.

Bets A.

Yelp
Mediocre sushi restaurant. The salmon was not fresh, the ginger dressing tasted like French dressing and the sushi rolls were made with too much rice.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
Awesome sushi, and I also recommend the sesame chicken for those of into sushi. Amazing time with my family.
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
Surprised it turned out as good as it did! Spotted "Crispy Orange Roughy" on the appetizer menu and thought that was interesting. Turned out much better than, say, Fish & Chips (comparing the two because the fish had that presence). It's the dipping sauces that killed it, and whatever those fried straw thingies are on top! Sushi rolls were all pretty good, used real good ingredients and tasted fresh. The dining area is spacious and can accommodate large groups. I'd visit again if I'm in the area!
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
I love this place! Prices are getting a little high so go for their lunch specials! Their tempura is so light, calamari is wonderful and fish is usually very fresh

Joseph B.

Yelp
Great service, locally owned, very good house and speciality rolls! Don't stick with normal rolls when you come here, try their speciality and house rolls.
google avatar

Gabrielle V.

Yelp
Love. Always a good time. Waiter was patient while I looked for my ID I lost in my purse. He was helpful in suggesting food and all and the food is always amazing
google avatar

Bailey P.

Yelp
Really great! I enjoyed the food a lot - one thing to note is with most entrees you get soup and salad which they don't tell you so we ended up getting an additional soup and salad because we had previously ordered them before.
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
This place used to be so good. Two of our rolls were slimy. We had two rolls that we didn't even touch because we were so turned off. Waste of money. Sadly, won't be back.

Ghost K.

Yelp
I have ordered to-go food from here, and I highly recommend Land of Sushi. They make exceptionally good rice. Their portions are very generous, and the quality is top notch.

Shari S.

Yelp
We've been eating there for years. We aren't sushi fans but the menu offers a good variety at excellent prices. I particularly like the lunch combo, which comes with a choice of meat or fish and rice in addition to pieces of tempura. You also get a bowl of miso soup and a salad. Portions are very generous. I've never had a bad meal there. Food is always delicious and appealingly presented. Service has always been good. It's nice to have a high-quality Japanese restaurant right in the neighborhood!

J Z.

Yelp
Friends have told us about this place, first time was ok, but his time we were much happier. Great service from Sabrina, so friendly and fun!! Loved the happy hour wine and beer prices. The rolls and sashimi were great.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Best Volcano Rolls on the planet!!! Not to mention the freshest ingredients and a fun/entertaining atmosphere watching the sushi chefs work their magic.
google avatar

Saman M.

Yelp
Good food but service could have been better. Left us without drink refills a couple times.

Yelp
In a strip mall in Centennial, there is a Land of Sushi. From the outside, you might wonder how a whole land could be contained within a restaurant, but they make it happen. Once you enter this land, you'll find that you're in a better-than-you'd-expect local sushi spot with friendly, fast service. I found Land of Soosh because I bought a Groupon. Since the restaurant isn't that visible from the street, it definitely helped me find it! In addition to sushi, they have udon and some standard Japanese dishes and appetizers. For the budget-minded, they have lunch specials that are available seven days a week and sushi specials for dinner that will run you about $15-$25/person. Like any sushi place, LoS can get expensive ($30/person) if you order a couple individual/special rolls, but you can keep things in that $20 range if you stick to the specials. The only thing that I'm not crazy about at LoS is the insanely bright, orange-colored salad dressing. Because I'm not a big ginger person, it's just a lot of dressing that overpowers an otherwise good starter salad. Best of all, the service is quick, friendly, and there's usually not too bad of a wait. It's not a big land, but it's pretty good one for the area when a sushi craving hits.

Julie ..

Yelp
We were in search of a great sushi place that had great sushi and steak. My husband is not crazy about sushi and I love it. Sadly the sushi had that synthetic flavor taste to cover up, not so fresh, sushi. My husband got the Kobe beef that tasted like steak-ums and has been sick for 6 hrs now. It's going to be a long night! We will not be revisiting this place.
google avatar

Douglas M.

Yelp
One of our favorites in the area! Always amazing food, love the friendly staff, and consistent sushi quality...heading there soon with my Gift Card as it's always on my Christmas List!
google avatar

Correy H.

Yelp
Solid sushi joint in the burbs --- If you happen to be in the Centennial area and are looking for sushi, you will not be disappointed with Land of Sushi. I was very impressed with the large menu of items, including a few unique roll combinations. I specifically liked the "House Roll" (one of their specialties). It combined tempura salmon, some mayo, and green onion. TIP: If you are eating out late, try their late Happy Hour for cheaper drinks and sashimi.
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
Consistently delicious food, this is a true hidden gem if you are looking for high quality sushi anywhere in Colorado, but especially down south in Littleton/Centennial area. The shumai, crazy tuna roll, and spider roll are my favorite. Egg roll is really good too, definitely worth checking out!
google avatar

Richard F.

Yelp
The business is like a sushi roll: unassuming exterior, with delicious, fresh, and inventive filling inside. I did the love boat and it was excellent. I'm a sashimi fan, but found myself continually coming back to pick at the fried sushi. Great cocktails too. They have a full bar and will get you whatever you want. I will absolutely be back.

Charles S.

Yelp
Knowing what goes on in the back of the house... I would not eat here again... they serve cheap copycat fish. Their red snapper is actually tilapia... the manager was rude and seems only to care about money. Not service
